Twitter Mac App log in problems

Hi,
I have recently downloaded Twitter App from Mac App store onto my Macbook and for some reason it wont let me sign in.
Dont have any problems logging into Twitter via Safari - any thoughts or is this a standard problem with new Mac App's?
THanks,

Hi,
Try logging out of Twitter on Safari before logging in using the Twitter app from the MAS.
If that doesn't make a difference, from your Safari menu bar click Safari / Preferences then select the Security tab. Click: Show Cookies. Delete all Twitter cookies.
Try the MAS Twitter app again.

    Hi and welcome..
Check your Applications folder to make sure the game was downloaded and installed successfully. You can launch it from there.

  • Mac Crashes - Log indicates problem with Dock

My MAC hangs once in a few hours (fairly random) and the Crash Log seems to indicate it is a problem with the Dock Application. There is no correlation between other applications that I am using and the crash. Many times it happens soon after boot up.
Also, I am not using any widgets and am not synching with an iPhone or iPod.
The Crash Log is provided below and I would appreciate any support on how to resolve this.

I have been having similar dock crashes --- I think they are caused by OpenOffice --- OO 3 and 3.01 both seem to have the problem.
I have a MacBook Pro 17 dual core Intel.
I started seeing the dock crashes on a 10.5.6 which had been upgraded all the way from Tiger to Leopard and onward to 10.5.6 including secupd2009-001.
The crashes were always similar to the original poster's. (see below).
After working on this for weeks I wasn't even able to tell for sure if this was hardware or OS software but I strongly suspected the latter.
Finally, I paid $100 for a Leopard DVD, and (in a separate partition) did an erase and install.
The problem went away for a while but now it's back.
The dock crashes restarted on the same day that I installed OpenOffice.
I just now dragged the OO icon out of the dock and instantly experienced a true system crash --- system locked up, will not respond to mouse, or any keystrokes --- had to power reset.
I have just used appdelete to unintall Open Ofice and all its friends.
I am going to try rebooting now and will agment this reply to tell results.
    ============== UPDATE NEWS FLASH ==========================================
I restarted after uninstalling OpenOffice and the only relevenat syslog msgs was this one:

I hope I have identified the culprit and will post anything more I learn.

The Mini turns on, I get the log in page on my monitor, but can't get it to prompt for my password (doesn't show the drop down for password). The mouse works fine and I've tried turning it on and off multiple times but it's not responding. Any suggestions? Many thanks.

  • App to upgrade on Mac App Store with email that is not mine

    Hello to everyone,
I have an update of a free app on Mac App Store called "Itsy". However, i never install that app through Mac App Store or by other means! When i try to install it through Mac App Store i can't do it and Mac App Store ask me for the password of the following email "**@**.de"! This email it is not mine and i don't know how i get it! I buy my new MacBook Pro last week on an Apple Store! Anyone can tell me how i solve it? Or i should make a fresh install?
    <Edited by Host>

@moebis tell me one thing. I admit that on other mac i used FaceTime 1.0 app downloaded from a website. However, this mac is new and i just upgrade it from a Time Machine backup. When i restart my mac, FaceTime was 1.0.2 not 1.0! Do you think that some information from FaceTime 1.0 stay in my mac even FaceTime was upgraded to 1.0.2? I removed FaceTime 1.0.2 with AppDelete (I bought it ) but this problem persist! I just solve my problem making a fresh install. However, it is strange because, if it was a problem of Mac App Store, my problem shouldn't disappear, but the fact is that it really disappear! But i have another question. If it was a problem from FaceTime 1.0, why when i delete FaceTime using AppDelete this problem don't disappear?

  • Why does Mac App Store log me out in the middle of a download of Lion and "resume" won't work?

I have previously purchased a copy of OS Lion and have been loading it onto each of three Macs in our home network.  This worked fine for an iMac G7 and iMac G5, but is failing for a White Macbook (running Snow Leopard 10.6.8).  Other apps have been successfully downloaded on the Macbook, so the problem seems to be only associated with Lion (which is a 3-4hr dowload).
When I log onto my Mac App Store account and select "Purchases", my prior purchase of Lion is there as it should be.  I then select "Install" and it starts to download as expected.  Then about 10 minutes into the download, it pops-up that it is going to log out and offers me the option to click "cancel" (within so many seconds) to elect not to log out.  If I select "cancel", it continues to download normally until about an hour later when the same thing occurs, and so on.  If I do not select "cencel", then it logs out and when I log back in "Resume" doesn't work in App Store.  It shows that zero GB have been downloaded when at least 1GB have already been downloaded.
So, unless I sit there vigilantly watching the download for 4 hours to select "cancel" whenever it pops up. I just can't download the software this way.  With a capped data plan, this has the potential to be very expensive.
Btw, I have tried the simple thing of switching from a WIFI connection to cable, but this had no impact on the problem.
    Can anyone help?

but is failing for a White Macbook (running Snow Leopard 10.6.8)
Launch iTunes. From the menu bar click Store / Authorize This Computer.
    Try again.

I am facing the problem on downloading apps from Mac App Store, when I try to install the application from App store, I am getting an error message "Status_Code_Error" while click on "Login"

    Same problem here in Brazil.
It seems to be a problem with logging in App Store in the Mac (Yosemite 10.10.2).
When I tried the very same userid and password I was able to login in to use my iCloud account from the same computer and also from my iPhone.

  • Logging in to Mac App Store on different Mac to install Lion?

Hey there folks, I hope this question isn't too confusing. I also hope it's not against any forum policies. I have two MacBook Pros and one of them is currently used by my mother. I gave it to her as a gift and upon giving it to her, I signed her in to her own Apple ID for the Mac App Store so she can buy her own apps. My question is- Could I log in to the Mac App Store with my ID for the purpose of installing Lion on her Mac, but then log her back under her own account? And if I do this, will it screw up Lion? Thanks in advance for any help!

    Short answer: Nope.
The user agreement allows you to install the software on as many devices as you like <provided> they are all using the sam Apple ID. If you were to login to your own account in order to redownload Lion onto your mother's computer, you'd have a problem logging her back into her own ID. She'd lose access to apps and her iTunes-purchased content.

  • Mac App Store problem - I have an update for an app that do not exist in my Mac

Hi, I have an update for an app that I never didn't bought before in my Mac App Store.
Thats happen before more than a year, I tried everything including updating the app (got an error) and format the Mac but the update for this app didn't remove.
the problem is maybe in my Apple account so I need your help, is there any way to remove this update?

You may have installed a hacked app, originally from the Mac App Store. It contains the receipt for a different app, downloaded using an account that you don't control. You need to identify and remove the hacked app.
Important: The app you need to remove is not necessarily the one named in the App Store alert. For example, the App Store could prompt you to update "Angry Birds" or "Twitter," but the hacked app could be "Final Cut Pro." Don't make any assumptions about which app you're looking for. To find it, you must carry out a systematic search with Spotlight.
    1. Triple-click anywhere in the line of text below on this page to select it:
    kMDItemAppStoreHasReceipt=1
Copy the selected text to the Clipboard by pressing the key combination command-C.
    2. In the Finder, press command-F to open a search window, or select
              File ▹ Find
from the menu bar. In the search window, select
              Search: This Mac
from the row of tokens below the toolbar. Below that is a popup menu of search criteria, initially showing Kind. From that menu, select
              Other...
A sheet will drop down. In that sheet, select
              Raw Query
as the criterion, then click OK or press return.
Now there will be a text box to the right of the menu of search criteria. That's where you enter the raw search query. Click in that box and paste the text you copied earlier by pressing command-V.
    3. The search window will now show all the App Store products that are installed. Compare those search results with the list of your purchases from the App Store. To see the complete list, you may need to unhide hidden purchases. If any apps were download from the App Store using other Apple ID accounts that you control, sign in to the store under each of those ID's and check the purchases.
    4. At least one of the apps in the Spotlight search results is not among your purchases in the App Store. Move each such item to the Trash, after quitting it if it's running. You may be prompted for your administrator password. Empty the Trash.
    5. Quit and relaunch the App Store. Test.
If you find these instructions confusing, ask for an alternative method.

I regret that you're having trouble setting up your email, corbad! You're on the right track with your incoming email address. You might also try incoming.verizon.net or incoming.yahoo.verizon.net as possible alternatives, and 995 as the port number. Please let me know how that goes!

  • Help-unknown error has occurred when logging into mac app store

I am unable to log into the mac app store. It says "an unknown error has occurred" i can log onto itunes without any issues. ive read some discussions and tried to delete networkinterfaces.plist but it doesnt even seem to exist, ive looked in 3 different preferences files. I also tried to create a new user id from the mac store and it doesnt even recognize when i click to create user. what can i do next???  Thanks

    Sorry,
you don't need any app Store. That - sorry - bullshi. is mother of all problems.
There is the usuall Software Update process - all can find in finder menue below the apple logo. So why I have to update my iLife and iWork via App Store? Can't this be done by Software update as before? No, we need something special and we also deny any other possible way, like download from apple support page and install manually. No, everybody needs App Store - and then we get an issue after software update and don't get a fix? Sorry, that what I dislike most  - a bad customer support.
So, no one needs App Store for a Fix - all apple has to do is simply provide a simple MacUpdate via Software Update process and all is fine again.
And Software Update is just in such cases the best choice and most possible way to fix such problems - and we need also a valid and good second way - if all strings get cut...
We need ways without any strong internet - because I know places, were you cannot download a MacOS

  • Can't update to Lion: Serious Mac App Store problem

I tried twice to update my OS (10.6.8) to Lion via the Mac App Store. Both times I got a failure message shortly before I had downloaded the 3,74 GB, saying the app can't be downloaded and that I have to restart the downloading (original message in German: "Die App kann nicht geladen werden.
