• Website doesn't load properly in Firefox and IR.

Does anybody know why my website:
www.clicktoneproductions.com doesn't load properly in firefox and
Internet explorer but seems to load okay in safari? This is my
first ever website so I'm not too familiar with CSS although I've
used Div Tags to contain all the links and used CSS for the
background image.
In firefox/IR the background image either doesn't load at all
or loads sometimes.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Start by adding a valid doctype and validating the page.
Also, why do you have a splash page that does nothing other than
open a popup? Many people will not disable their popup blocker just
to enter your site and the splash page adds nothing of
value.

• Adobe website doesn't load

I've had this problem for a while now, but whenever I try to access the Adobe website (www.adobe.com), my MacBook Pro won't load the website. I've tried to load it on Safari, Firefox and Google Chrome and none of the browsers load the website.
On Safari I get this message: "Safari cannot connect to the server. Safari cannot open the webpage "http://www.adobe.com" because Safari cannot connect to the server "www.adobe.com"
Yes, I am connected to the Internet, that is not the issue.
I want to purchase Lightroom Pro, and don't want to pay $150 from the App Store when it's $80 for students on Adobe. Does anyone know how to fix this?
Thank you!

Loads fine for me - in both Firefox and Safari. Try this link.
BTW - I love Lightroom - didn't know what I was missing until I finally gave it a trial run and then purchased it.
Good luck,

• Website doesn't load!

I have my MacPro running 10.6.2 and i placed the website under /Library/WebServer/Documents/ and all the settings are fine, now under my local DNS i have only one entry for server.mydomain.com and that points to local ip address. and in my domain hosting website i have the www.mydomain.com pointed to a static IP Address which is my modem/router, so when I open the browser and type in.. http://www.mydomain.com , and it hit the modem and it asking me to enter the username and password for the modem, do i need to specify an entry for www.mydomain.com under my local dns and let it point to the server ip address (local) ? or what do i need to do ?
Thanks,

I'm going to assume the following:
o your network uses NAT.
o your access attempts here are occuring from outside your network.
This as not all firewalls can "reflect" traffic from the internal network back inward.
o that you're running Mac OS X Server here and not Mac OS X client.
At first glance, it looks like your firewall is not set up correctly for port-forwarding. How that's done is entirely dependent on the particular firewall, too. And not all firewalls are capable of that. And some of the firewalls installed by and used by providers are set up as routers, and some are set up as and used as bridges. And knowing that can help you determine your set-up. (Personally, I tend to prefer a bridge here, as it lets me choose and use my own firewall.)
Setting public write on the web service is how a foothold is established and a security breach can be extended. Use +extreme caution+ with files and directories writeable to the web server. Avoid this as and when you can. The ownerships and protections are among the first things I check for when securing a web server.

• Askmen 'problem loading page' error in FF6. Page doesn't load up.

The Askmen website doesn't load up in FF6. The page loads to the FF 'problem loading page' page.
At the same time the url also changes to http://uk.wrapper.askmen.com/

No problem here.
Try the Firefox SafeMode. <br />
A troubleshooting mode, which disables most Add-ons. <br />
(If you're not using it, switch to the Default Theme.)
# You can open the Firefox 4/5/6/7 SafeMode by holding the Shft key when you use the Firefox desktop or Start menu shortcut.
# Or use the Help menu item, click on Restart with Add-ons Disabled... while Firefox is running. <br />
To exit the Firefox Safe Mode, just close Firefox and wait a few seconds before using the Firefox shortcut (without the Shft key) to open it again.
If it is good in the Firefox SafeMode, your problem is probably caused by an extension, and you need to figure out which one. <br />

• All websites related to google doesn't load

Mostly the webpage stops loading when the status bar displays doubleclick.net. I will have to refresh many times to load that page.
One of the site i find difficult to open is cricinfo.com which doesn't load with the doubleclick.net on the status bar. I will have to refresh the page again and again for it to load the page.
I tried opening the page in Internet Explorer 8 and found no problem opening it.
Hope to find a solution for it.
Thank you

Start Firefox in <u>Safe Mode</u> to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance).

• Websites won't load properly

Hi
After just fixing my wifi problem (http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?threadID=1345209) I am able to access the internet but I have a problems loading pages from some websites. The browser will say that I have loaded the page fully, but none of the flash, javascript, or backgrounds will load. Some pictures, but not most of them would load. The page is a white background with text and links and a couple small pictures. The text is a default font and only the links are a color other than black. Most sites will work, but a few big one's won't.
Some sites that won't work:
youtube.com (This wasn't working and then it worked for about three days and now it's not working again. It worked on all of the other computers in the house, mac or windows.)
facebook.com (This won't load on any of the mac computers in the house, but will work on our windows laptop.)
flickr.com
Sites that do work:
Google.com
apple.com
pretty much anything else.
This problem persists on both Firefox and Safari. I have tried restarting the computer, deleting the preference (.plist) files for both browsers, checking my firewall settings, and nothing has worked.
Does someone know what is wrong?
Cameron

I still haven't resolved this problem. Here is some more information...
youtube is the only website that has started working, but it sometimes stops working again.
There are many other sites that don't work, cnn.com, washingtonpost.com (sometimes), and a lot of others.
I have contacted our internet service provider and they said that they had nothing to do with the problem.
Some websites will not work at all. Safari tells me that it can't find the server. Some that do this are ups.com, computerworld.com, and others.
I think that the problem is that, for some reason, our mac computers can't access certain servers where we are. (We are at a small ski resort (on the mountain) in Canada.) I think this because when a site doesn't load properly there are several errors and they are all "can't find host" errors from a couple of the same sites (ex. example.something.something).
*Also, I ran a test on speedtest.net on the laptop and one of our iMacs and the results were way faster than anything actually loads/downloads or than the activity monitor shows, even when checking the activity monitor at the same time as running the test.

• How to resolve Java Script Error Message when visiting Twitter Website?

When using firefox the following error message appears on the Twitter website regarding Java Script that is already enabled in firefox. It only happens in firefox when I visit the Twitter Website, it doesn't happen on any other website and it does not happen in Internet Explorer when I visit Twitter's website.
Error Message:
Twitter.com makes heavy use of JavaScript.
If you cannot enable it in your browser's preferences, you may have a better experience on our mobile site.

When you have a problem with one particular site, a good "first thing to try" is clearing your Firefox cache and deleting your saved cookies for the site.
1. Clear Firefox's Cache
orange Firefox button or Tools menu > Options > Advanced
On the Network mini-tab > Cached Web Content : "Clear Now"
2. If needed, delete your twitter.com cookies here
While viewing a page on the site, right-click and choose View Page Info > Security > "View Cookies"
Then try reloading the page. Does that help? If you restart Firefox does it help? If not, please see the next section.
If you have JavaScript enabled in Firefox's options (support article) then there are a few different ways that JavaScript could be blocked for twitter.com.
One common one is the add-on NoScript, which manages scripts on a site-by-site basis. However, you probably would be well aware if you were using NoScript.
Another is external security software that filters pages on a site-by-site basis. Can you check whether your security software includes this feature?
A third possibility is another add-on which for some reason is targeting Twitter. Check any ad blockers, Flash blockers or other "blockers" as well as any relating to privacy.
Finally, there could be other settings, software, or even malware interfering with your Twitter connection.
One standard diagnostic for interference by add-ons is to try Firefox's Safe Mode.
First, I recommend backing up your Firefox settings in case something goes wrong. See Backing up your information. (You can copy your entire Firefox profile folder somewhere outside of the Mozilla folder.)
Next, restart Firefox in Firefox's Safe Mode (Safe Mode) using
Help > Restart with Add-ons Disabled
In the Safe Mode dialog, do not check any boxes, just click "Continue in Safe Mode."
If the site works correctly, this points to one of your add-ons or custom settings as the problem.
Any change?

• Firefox for android doesn't load all my passwords and corrupts bookmarks

Firefox for Android doesn't load all my passwords on my tablet (Lenovo).
Also, syncing corrupts my bookmarks on my desktop and laptop by inserting bookmarks which I have deleted days ago..
It syncs through all three devices and I know that it syncs because when I sync from my desktop, all three devices have the same time-stamp of when they synced.
It seems as though, if you have two usernames/passwords for the same login address, such as 2 Gmails - there is no dropdown which shows both emails/passwords from which to choose from.
This is all very frustrating, especially when I'm out and only have my tablet and I need to login somewhere when I'm with a client, and I can't login because Firefox/Android doesn't show my login info or the bookmark that I need is not there, because my bookmarks are corrupted after a sync.
I have lost clients because of this.

Hi modularbase.
I understand that there are some issues with sync between three devices. Specifically, there is an issue with corrupt bookmarks and passwords that are not stored.
Please make sure these settings are set:
* Control whether Firefox automatically fills in forms with your information * Usernames and passwords are not saved
* Using Master Password on Firefox for Android- the password manager addon for mobile devices may benefit in this situation.
However on mobile, specifically for Gmail signin, accounts.google.com can store a few mail accounts, however you would have to add an account by clicking on "Sign in with a different account". In Firefox, passwords are stored by website in the password manager.

• My iPhone 5 is experiencing problems with the Wifi at home. It shows that it is connected to the wifi but anything that uses wifi doesn't load. The wifi works sometimes however but this is rare. How do I fix this?

My iPhone 5 is experiencing problems with the Wifi at home. It shows that it is connected to the wifi but anything that uses wifi (apps etc) doesn't load content and just looks like it's loading forever but nothing ever comes. However the wifi and wifi/internet dependant apps work sometimes but it's rare. How do I fix this?

Back up all data.
Unlock the Network preference pane, if necessary, by clicking the lock icon in the lower left corner and entering your password. Cllck Advanced, open the DNS tab, and change the server addresses to the following:
              8.8.8.8
              8.8.4.4
That's Google DNS. Click OK, then Apply.
In Safari, select
Safari ▹ Preferences... ▹ Privacy ▹ Remove All Website Data
and confirm. If you’re using another browser, empty the cache. Test. Any difference?
Notes:
1. If you lose Internet access after making the above change to your network settings, delete the Google servers in the  Network preference pane, then select the TCP/IP tab and click Renew DHCP Lease. That should restore the original DNS settings; otherwise restore them yourself. Remember that you must click Apply in order for any changes to take effect.
2. I don't use Google DNS myself, though I have tested it, and I'm not recommending it or any other DNS provider; the server addresses are offered merely for testing purposes. There may be privacy and technical issues involved in using that service, which you should investigate personally before you decide whether to keep the settings. Other public DNS services exist.

• Websites aren't loading at all - circle is just constantly spinning

This has only started happening the past week or so. As the question says, no websites on Firefox load and instead continue the circle spinning. This doesn't affect any other web browsers, and there's no Malware nor Java affecting anything.
Right now it's the weirdest because I have just turned on my computer, I loaded up a couple of websites, downloaded a (safe) file and now it's stopped working with the above results. I've tried clearing my history, deleting cookies and clearing my cache but so far nothing. I had this happen before a week or so ago but closing Firefox from the processes panel on Windows seemed to do the trick, as it has again here.
Any ideas?

It is possible that your security software (firewall, anti-virus) blocks or restricts Firefox or the plugin-container process without informing you, possibly after detecting changes (update) to the Firefox program.
Remove all rules for Firefox and the plugin-container from the permissions list in the firewall and let your firewall ask again for permission to get full unrestricted access to internet for Firefox and the plugin-container process and the updater process.

When I turn on the macbook it stays on the grey screen and never loads. This has been happening more, even when I hold down option on start up it doesn't load sometimes. I have had problems with safari freezing and even force quit wouldn't work so I have had to manually shut down the computer. When I try to start it back up that is when it doesn't load. But the safari problem has gotten much better and doesn't freeze much anymore, but today on start up it stayed at grey screen. This is a annoying problem and please help! Thanks.

I ran the disk utility and it said that the the volume Macintosh HD appears to be ok. What is the
purpose of running off the install disk?
Because earlier you said:
Well I did the disk utility, and the permissions worked fine, but on disk it froze and I had to restart.
and then:
I tried running the mac os x install disk and it wouldn't even run on that...
So, it looked like you couldn't run the disk verify. However, if you were able to verify the startup disk using Apple's Disk Utility you don't need to check it again with the Mac OS X Install DVD. However, don't confuse the permissions check with the "Verify Disk" test.
I hope your problems don't reappear, but frankly computers crash for a _reason_ and if you haven't changed anything to fix the problem then it will mostly likely reoccur.
Given what you've told me and assuming that you did run the "Verify Disk" test and not simply the verify permissions, I'd say that you _may_ have a problem either with your hardware or with your Mac OS X installation (not the DVD, I mean the OS image that is installed on the hard drive). To eliminate hardware as the problem you might want to rerun Apple's built-in hardware diagnostics and select the extended testing mode. The extended test can take a good amount of time so I'd start it when your are finished using the MacBook for the day and make certain that you're running on A/C power and not the battery.
Next, Safari shouldn't be crashing. I run Safari for several hours each day and it is _very_ rare for me to have any serious problems with that program (let's say one crash every few months, if even that often). Of course, the frequency of problems may depend highly on what you are doing on the computer and that's why it is important to look for patterns in your work (i.e. nearly every time I do this on this website Safari crashes).
By the way, when Safari crashes do you restart your MacBook? That would probably be a good idea if you are planning to continue to use your MacBook for a significant amount of time (after the crash). Also, do you ever need to do a forced shutdown of your MacBook? What I mean is does your MacBook/mouse/keyboard ever completely "freeze" so that you can't do anything until you hold down on the power button to force a system shutdown? If you _are_ having to do frequent forced shutdowns I'd suggest that on your next restart that you run the Disk Utility to check both your permissions and disk before you begin again to use the computer.
In any case, good luck in the future.
