Two apple accounts on one computer sharing the library
My boyfriend and I currently share one apple id account. So we have one itunes library. However we constantly run into issues with syncing his phone. For example- last night he ended up with ALL of my phone contacts on his phone in addition to his own. and in the past it has tried to give him ALL of my apps even though they were not checked off and i have the controls set to "manually manage" Would creating a second apple id on my computer for him help this issue? if so- is there a way to duplicate all of the music on the existing account into his new account?
The same thing happened to me when I lent a friend my laptop. When she finally added her itunes account, it only downloaded her apps. She makes sure that when she is done with itunes, she logs off so she doesn't get my apps.
Hope it helps.

I have two questions!!
I need to know how to delete one account without deleting the other account on the computer?
I am deleting the account because i have a new laptop that now has the my account... will deleting the account on one computer affect the account on the other laptop?What do you mean by deleting the account? One can't delete an Apple ID/iTunes account. One just stops using it.
Since yo can only have five computer authorized for one iTunes account you might want to deauthorize the computer for that account

Two Apple accounts on one computer
My husband and I each had our own computers with our own Apple ID's and iTune accounts. Those computers are no longer in use. Our plan was to share one computer. Can you put two different iTune accounts each with their own Apple ID on one computer?
Welcome to the Apple Community.
Yes, you can. Do you intend having different user accounts, do either of you use automatic downloads or iTunes Match. -
iCloud in a business.
Do all the computers require the same apple ID to share all the files?? Can i have two apple accounts on one deviceNeither of those Apps allow you to (easily) add iWork documents created or edited on the device to your online storage, you need to be using a webDAV server to be able to do that. In fact pretty much all you can add from the iOS device is photos and video without resorting to convoluted workarounds, intermediate apps or emailing finished documents to yourself. You can on the other hand view most of the content of dropbox/sugarsync through those apps, which in a lot of circumstances is useful, but without it working in both directions these apps are far from an ideal solution.
E.g from the sugarsync website
Yes, this may not be of too much interest to the OP, I was only trying to clarify the situation with iCloud.com/iWork for you.
However that being said, there may be areas of interest for Computer to Computer syncing, given the recent changes made to iCloud.com/iWork. I wouldn't suggest iCloud sharing for archived documents, but for perhaps up to a couple of dozen documents in progress, iCloud sharing is now quite viable. If there is any chance at all of these documents being accessed on an iOS device then iCloud would become a preferred option to dropbox or sugarsync. -
I have two ITunes accounts on one computer. One is a classic iPod, the other is for a Nano with a different user. Is it possible to "share" playlists? If so, how do I go about doing that?
videoDVD is a delivery format, normally end of the of the road...
but, you can convert dvds into something editable, you need 3rd party tools, your options are, in recommended order:
* DVDxDV (free trial, 25$, Pro: 90$)
* Apple mpeg2 plugin (20$) + Streamclip (free)
* Cinematize >60$
* Mpeg2Works >25$ + Apple plug-in
* Toast6/7 allows converting to dv/insert dvd, hit apple-k
* connect a miniDV Camcorder with analogue input to a DVD-player and transfer disk to tape/use as converter -
We have two iTunes accounts on one computer. Why is my music, apps, etc showing in my husbands account? Home sharing is NOT selected. This recently became an issue when we added additional devices. Now we keep getting each other's apps!
He intentado creando nuevas cuentas y desinstalando iTunes y volviendolo a instalar.
Favor de orientarme en la solucion adecuada para el asunto comentado anteriormente. -
I have two apple accounts and one of which has my music on. I would like to move this music to the other account. Is there a simple way of doing this?
There is currently no way to merge accounts. The best option is to pick one, and use it consistantly.

I seam to have two Apple accounts under one email address. Can I delete the old one? How do I do this?

Are you sure ? As far as I know an Apple ID can only be associated with one email address.
Go to My Apple ID and click Manage your account

Apple IDs cannot be deleted.
Anything Downloaded with a Particular Apple ID is tied to that Apple ID and Cannot be Merged or Transferred to a Different Apple ID

You can. Log in and out as needed, or create a new Windows XP user account.

Can I set up two iTunes accounts on one computer?
I have a personal iTunes account set up on my laptop, but I need to create an account for my school. Can I have two iTunes accounts on one computer?
I think you can. But issues can happen when you sync, transfer, and back-up with itunes on computer.

I have a Mac Air running 10.8.5, with two users on it. I'd like to keep separate Apple store accounts accounts for the two users, as we have separate music, movies, books etc. To date, we've had separate computers, but now will share the one computer. But when the second account is signed in and we try to sign in to the I-tunes store, or authorise the computer with the second account, the response is "the I-Tunes store is not available" or "we cannot fulfil your request at this time". Togetherness is nice, but I'd prefer to have some privacy.
Hi Harrike2000,
Welcome to Apple Support Communities.
It sounds like you’re running into an iTunes Store connection issue in one of the user accounts on your MacBook Air, and you want to know if the issue is related to using multiple Apple IDs or user accounts.
You can use multiple user accounts and Apple IDs with one computer, see this article for more information:
How to use multiple iPhone, iPad, or iPod devices with one computer - Apple Support
For the issue connecting to the iTunes Store, try the suggestions in the article linked below.
Can't connect to the iTunes Store - Apple Support
Troubleshoot issues on a Mac
If you haven't been able to connect to the iTunes Store, a software conflict or your Internet service provider (ISP) may be blocking your access.
Update iTunes and Safari to the latest version.
If you have a firewall, your settings may be preventing you from connecting to the iTunes Store. Follow these steps to configure your firewall.
You may need to reset your keychain. Connection issues are occasionally caused by keychain issues. Learn how to use Keychain First Aid to resolve any issues with your keychain.
If you're receiving a specific error message, follow these steps.
If the issue still persists, contact your Internet service provider and confirm that these ports and servers are enabled over your network.

If the steps above didn't resolve your issue, be sure that your specific alert isn't listed as a possible iTunes Store error. Then, if your issue is still unresolved, follow these steps.

Can you have two iTunes accounts on one computer?
Just bought a MacBook Air which I'm sharing with my husband. Is it possible to have two active iTunes accounts on one computer? We both have very different tastes in music and we have our own iPhones that we'd like to update differently. Would be great to have the option to separate our accounts.
Yes you can... and it's not that hard

can i have two itunes accounts on one computer
Hello Barry
It is a yes and no answer. Yes you can but you cannot have them in the same iTunes library or one of the accounts cannot be associated for 90 days. You would need to have either a separate user or separate iTunes library to have both Apple ID’s on the same computer.

Somehow I have two apple accounts. Can I merge the two?
I am not sure why but I have two apple accounts with two different email addresses. This is causing problems with iMessages not syncing over my devices because the different email addresses cause messages to be sent to different devices so I miss messages. Can I merge the two apple accounts, if so. How?
Please see item no. 5 of this article:

I have multiple Apple IDs. Is there a way for me to merge them into a single Apple ID?
Apple IDs cannot be merged. You should use your preferred Apple ID from now on, but you can still access your purchased items such as music, movies, or software using your other Apple IDs.
