two apple identifiers make it impossible for me to retrieve the apps
that I had from a previous macbook and iphone to the new macbook. HOw do I get to get my apps back on both devices since itune wont let me retrieve the info with the previous identifier?

Have you tried giving it a reset? Hold down the sleep and home keys for about 20 seconds. When you see the silver apple let go and let it reboot and see if htat helps.

When will Apple ever make it convenient for the customer, I just bought an iPad Air and I'm very upset that I can only use iMessage, iPads are the biggest mistake to buy if you like texting family and friends. Apple have designed the iPod deliberately so that the transfer of music is by default one way from iTunes to iPod. The most likely reason is to discourage the use of the iPod for widespread music file sharing. This is a logical step for such a high profile company to take in the current environment. It's especially relevant considering that Apple has to work closely with the music companies to maintain the iTunes Music Store. -
I have two Apple IDs - one associated with iPad and iPhone and the other associated with iMac and MacAir. I am going to lose the former e-mail address imminently and would like to associate all devices with just one ID. How do I do this? Thanks
Thanks - I guess it is like there were two of me!
I bought the iPhone first and it seemed natural to link it to the (work) e-mail address which was in constant use. The iMac for home use came next and it seemed natural to use my home e-mail address, particularly as I knew by then that I would lose the work address after my imminent retirement. The same logic went for the recent puchase of the MacAir. I am not sure what happened with the iPad (also a recent purchase) - iTunes seemed to puch me towards the same ID as the iPhone.
It is not a huge problem - just makes my persona look schizoid! Otherwise very happy with everything Apple. -

If you abandon one of the Apple IDs you will also basically be abandoning any content that you have acquired with that Apple ID. Content can only be updated and re-downloaded with the Apple ID that was used to buy it. Apple will not combine the content of Apple IDs and Apple will not transfer the content from one Apple ID to another Apple ID.

I bought this MAC from a family member. Did everything need to change items to my apple id. Today I did the update for IOS Yosemite now the app store is auto filling with someone else id?? But they seem to be my apps??
If you didn’t erase the drive and install using you AppleID, then the OS and the purchased apps are still registered to the other AppleID. You cannot change that by logging into iCloud. Apps are forever tied to the AppleID used to purchase/download them.
You have to erase the drive and download/install the Apps using your AppleID. -
Just got an e mail to say that my Apple ID was just used to download photoshop touch for phone for 2.99 from the App Store with a receipt number. Is this a scam for me to give my Apple ID?

Your Adobe ID shows your country as Nigeria which is not a country that we currently sell to via adobe.com. This would explain why your order wasn't accepted.

I've recently change my Apple ID email so I've recently went to the App Store to download some apps that I've bought a while ago and none of them are showing. I've also searched for the app and wants me to buy it again.

can apple fix my ipad2 twice for free this is the second time my ipad2 screen broke, now dont calle me careless my 3 yr old brother begs and cries and it's frustrating, all he wants is thomas and friends so i end up getting forced to give it to him, i didnt know my brother was still playing with the ipad , and i was watching tv, so my dad comes up it was lying in the floor next to my bro, u couldnt believe how i cried that time because second time...... my mom was very very dissapointed , and so am i , so will apple be able to fix my 1pad 2 wifi only16 gb for free again, i barely have enough money to repair, because my mom brought another one. im really sad bc it took alot of sacrifice from my parents to buy me this ipad, i dont think i deserved that : ( plz help , or give me any other options.
If you mean your iPad got stepped on and the screen physically broke, I think it extremely unlikely that Apple will replace it again for free. They weren't obligated to do so the first time, as apparently they did, and almost certainly not going to do so twice.
Sorry, but I think you'll just have to live without your iPad until such time as you can save up enough money to pay for repairs. There are independent iPad repair services that may be able to replace the screen for less than Apple's replacement charge, though I can't say with certainty. Do a web search for "ipad repair".

I am running iPhoto 6.0.6. If I purchase the upgrade to iPhoto 9.0 for $14.95 from the app store, will I be able to upgrade directly from 6.0.6 to 9.0 without purchasing any other versions in between?
It seems the App Store doesn't offer iPhoto 9.0 for download. I presume purchasing iPhoto '11 (v.9.4.2) for $14.99 isn't going to work...because I know the most advanced version my system can handle is 9.2.3. I'm secretly hoping that if I go for the upgrade to 9.4.2, it'll take me as far as 9.2.3 and just leave me running that version. But, my hunch is the more likely scenario will be that the upgrade/installation will not be completed/fail.
Can you please just confirm that my hunch (as opposed to my "hope") is correct?
