Two beeps when an incoming call gets connected
Since a couple of weeks ago I started hearing 2 beeps when an incoming call gets connected.
I can only hear these 2 beeps when I use my headset (original iphone headset) to answer the call. I hear these 2 sounds right after I answer the call and then I can hear the person on the other side of the line.
This does not happen for outgoing calls. The person on the other side of the line can't hear the beeps. I tried this in another iPhone and I couldn't hear the beeps either.
Does anybody knows why?
Please, serious answers (I'm tired of listening about the bighbrother thing)
Hi there,
Did you ever figure out what those beeps are? I'm hearing them too.
Thanks!

Starting today my iPhone 4s now beeps when I am making an outgoing call or when I receive an incoming call. I am wondering if this is due to the recent upgrade to 7.0.4. My phone is on Verizon. Does anyone know how to turn this beep off?
This is a new feature of iOS 8 ... go to your iPhone's FaceTime settings and turn off "iPhone Cellular Calls".
-
Hi, this is amit from india. just started using iphone 4s. i am observing that when an incoming call comes, the phone smtimes shows two virtual buttons of red and green color so as to attend or reject the call. but smtimes it just shows green button with a slider to attend the call and there is no red button to reject the call. is it a bug or some setting?
Because it behaves differently depending on whether the phone is locked (in standby) or unlocked (in use) when the call comes in.

On IPhone 5S, when making cell calls, it connects to FaceTime.
On IPhone 5S, IOS 7.1.2, when making cell calls, it connects to FaceTime.
Hey there siteshop,
It sounds like you are still hearing the phone line ringing even after the person you call answers the line. I would try the troubleshooting outlined in this article:
iPhone: Troubleshooting issues making or receiving calls
https://support.apple.com/kb/TS3406
Toggle airplane mode: Tap Settings > Enable Airplane Mode, wait five seconds, then turn off airplane mode.
Ensure that your software is up to date:
Check for a carrier settings update.
Check for an iOS software update.
Note: Some updates may require a Wi-Fi connection.
If the iPhone has a SIM card, reseat the SIM card.
If the iPhone 4 or iPhone 4s is on the Verizon network, dial *228 from the iPhone and select option 2 to update the Preferred Roaming List (PRL). The PRL determines the cellular towers the phone uses for cellular service, selecting those with the best signal strength.
Reset the network settings: Tap Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings.
Try to make or receive calls in another location.
Attempt to isolate to one network band:
If you're having the issue on LTE, disable LTE, if possible, and try again.
If you're having the issue on 3G/4G, disable 3G/4G, if possible, and try again.
Contact the carrier to check the following:
Your account is properly configured to use the specific iPhone that has the issue.
There are no localized service outages.
Your account doesn't have a billing-related block.
Your calls don't have errors on the carrier system.
Restore the phone as new.
If the above steps don't resolve the issue, go to an Apple Retail Store, carrier, Apple Authorized Reseller, or contact AppleCare to send the phone in for service.
Thank you for using Apple Support Communities.
All the very best,
Sterling -
iPhone 4 - my phone doesn't "ring". Speaker plays, it works on vibrate, and when you set the ringer, it will play. Just not when an incoming call comes in. Any thoughts?
Check the position of the mute switch. On the side, just above the volume keys.

Yopie.Hi,
I have an auto attendant, for example like this:
Welcome to the XYZ Company,
Press 1 for purchasing (10 Agent)
Press 2 for Consult (5 Agent)
Or press 0 for operator help (3 Agent)
When the consumer press 1, I want the call distribute to 10 Agent in the Purchasing team.
To make scenario like this I use the hunt pilot and to use hunt pilot i must have line group first.
So I need to put the 10 Agent into the Line Group.
Thanks. -

IPhone 3G OS 4.0.1 Reboots when answering incoming calls
I have a 16 GB 3G. Several times since my upgrade to iOS 4 my phone reboots when I swipe to answer an incoming call. I swipe the screen goes blank then the Apple logo appears.
MarkI have a 3G iphone and have had the same problem and it even has done it on clicking on calendar and other apps. Also the common problem expressed by many regarding horrible slow response time. O/S 4 has been a huge mistake in my opinion for the 3G Iphone.

Issue when receiving incoming calls
Hi,
I have been experiencing the same problem for several months. Sometimes (hopefully it remains rare), when I have an incoming call, my iPhone rings but the screen won't turn on, so that I won't be able to answer the call. The only thing I can do then is to silence the call. Has someone experience the same issue ?i had it in 1.1.3 but after the update to 1.1.4 didnt have it again (only had it a few times before thought).
i think when i reset the phone (hold home and sleep/wake button) it stopped but i cannot remember for sure
try that, make sure your running 1.1.4, if that doesnt work try a restore and then after that go to an apple store

Beep when AC adapter plug is connected - can not find on ThinkPad w530
In the opposite to some other users (say in this topic here) I always liked this cool feature of ThinkPad to informed the user with a happy loud beep sound, whether the status of power has really changed after the AC adapter was connected to the laptop. It saves me plenty of times from problems with empty battery and loosing my data at my previous ThinkPads.
So when I've got my new ThinkPad w530 it was one of the first things I've tried to configure to enable these sound notifications. But I am not able to find, how to do it The Manual of the Power Manager states very clearly when explaining Power Management Options, the following:
"Beep when power state changes
When this checkbox is selected, you hear beeps when the computer:
Enters standby mode.
Resumes operation from standby mode.
Enters hibernation mode.
Resumes operation after being in hibernation mode.
Is connected to or disconnected from the AC adapter.".
It seems the thinh I was looked for, but the problem is, that there is no such option at Power Manager Options tab. I've reviewed all other tabs/windows of the app as well, but can not find anything about beep sound.
Have I missed anything? Where this option might actually locate?
Thanks for any ideas!Unfortunately it's not an option offered on the *30 systems' BIOS, it was removed. Please see the following thread;

I need to be able to press '1' after I answer an incoming call (Google Voice call screening). The dial pad doesn't appear on the screen. If anyone has solved this problem, I'd be grateful to hear how you did.
format the phone. make sure all users from contact list have set their default number. this helped in my case.

Incoming calls get stripped of leading zeros and I don't know why...
Hi,
our UC560 setup is now running for quite some time. But there is still this one issue that is bugging for some time now.
We have two ISDN DID trunks for Incoming / Outgoing calls.
After my very basic setup I noticed that all caller IDs get their leading zero stripped. In Germany we use the "0" as first digit of the area-code and "00" as the international code.
I thought a quick fix would be to just add a Call-Back Rule within CCA to add a leading 0. This works for national calls as the transmitted caller-id always includes the area-code even for local calls.
However If I receive an international call (what happens quite often recently) I'm not getting the expected "00" in front of the number but also only a single "0".
I took a look at all translation-rules that are configured, but I couldn't find any rule that just deletes all leading zeros from the incoming number :( What's happening there?
voice translation-rule 4
