Two Bluetooth Headsets?

Is there any way to connect two Bluetooth headsets to a single iphone 3GS so that they can be used in an intercom format. As in with helmets on or sitting 20 ft away both people can talk to each other via the headsets just using the one iphone as a wireless (bluetooth) connector/intercom/base? Any such apps? I can't find any way to do it.

That's the trick, I don't want to have to keep one off. I want to be able to decide when the phone rings which headset to answer.

This article: http://www.iphonefaq.org/archives/97903 helped to clear up confusion I had re your point
when Airplane mode is on you can turn on either or both wifi and bluetooth
It makes it clear that airplane mode turns off processes involving cellular networks, which doubtless involve rather strong transmissions, while allowing others such as wi-fi and Bluetooth.  I'm puzzled though why the iPod rather than the iPhone has the airplaine mode when it has no cellular capacity.  Perhaps it's there but doesn't actually do anything other than making it possible to conform to a request to switch into airplane mode, and display an airplane icon to satisfy flight attendants who are checkng up on you!

  • Nokia Lumia 1520 not finding Bluetooth headsets

    Hello
I have a nokia Lumia 1520 and it won't connect to the two bluetooth headsets I have. They are not even showing up to connect to.
I tried with a Microsoft Xbox 360 Wireless Headset (bluetooth version 3.0) and a Sony MBH10 (bluetooth version 1.2). Can you give me a list of compatible bluetooth headsets and/or what version of bluetooth I need for it to be to work with my lumia 1520? My phone is updated with the latest updates and I also tried to connect via bluetooth to my other phone a Nokia E6 and it did connect succesfully.

After all I managed to connect it to the sony bluetooth headset via the nfc function! But manually it wouldn't find either of the two headsets and yes I did the steps you said
The devices you are trying to connect to the phone have to be in the bluetooth pairing mode before the phone will see them in bluetooth.
Read up on how to put the headsets in pairing mode.  Should be in the literature that came with them.

  • Bluetooth Headset does not play sound from ipad touch 4th gen. ipod touch 4th gen. although it does pair ok! Please help!

HM1200, BH99b, JabraBT2045 bluetooth headsets do not play music from ipad, ipod touch 4th generation, although it does pair ok. Why is that if it is compatable, why it does not play any music or sound via bluetooth headsets.  When I pair the headsets to Mac it does play music via bleutooth headsets!  Please help me!  Also, how to connect several or two bluetooth headsets to one device: Mac, or iPad iPod touch 4th generation? Please, reply as soon as possible!

Your iPad has built-in WiFi. You cannot and don't need to use the USB dongle.
Look in Settings > WiFi. Find the SSID of your wireless router, tap it's name and enter the WiFi password.

  • Is there any way for 2 bluetooth headsets to participate in a FaceTime call on the same device?

From what I can tell, one cannot use two Bluetooth headsets at the same time, using the built-in reciever. However, it seems as though one can transmit audio to 2 devices using the KOKKIA i10, but the deal breaker is: can one send audio using 2 headets? Is there some obscure version of the Kokkia that will reciever audio as well?

It sounds like you are using two independent libraries with a common media folder, whereas the plan would have been to ensure that both profiles were using the same library library database. Although you can place this within the Public folder I would normally create a shared library at the root of a drive, e.g. at X:\iTunes where X: is the drive that you want to use. See Make a split library portable for information on moving the library around back into a standard shape.
As for duplicates, Apple's official advice on duplicates is here... HT2905: How to find and remove duplicate items in your iTunes library. It is a manual process and the article fails to explain some of the potential pitfalls such as lost ratings and playlist membership.
Use Shift > View > Show Exact Duplicate Items to display duplicates as this is normally a more useful selection. You need to manually select all but one of each group to remove. Sorting the list by Date Added may make it easier to select the appropriate tracks, however this works best when performed immediately after the dupes have been created.  If you have multiple entries in iTunes connected to the same file on the hard drive then don't send to the recycle bin.
Use my DeDuper script if you're not sure, don't want to do it by hand, or want to preserve ratings, play counts and playlist membership. See thisthread for background, this post for detailed instructions, and please take note of the warning
to backup your library before deduping.
(If you don't see the menu bar press ALT to show it temporarily or CTRL+B to keep it displayed.)
The most recent version of the script can tidy dead links as long as there is at least one live duplicate to merge stats and playlist membership to and should cope sensibly when the same file has been added via multiple paths.

  • Can i connect to bluetooth headsets to a mac mini?

I am trying to connect two motorola H730 bluetooth headsets two a mac mini for video presentations.  Basically what i am doing is teaching two different groups of people in two places using one computer. Is this possible?  Any assistance would be greatly appreciated!
My back up plan was to connect each motorola H730 to a mac mini and an i mac, and treat them as two seperate computers for each location.
Hopefully i was able to articulate what i am trying to do as i am barely able to understand it myself.
    Thanks.

Ahum... You will have client again and it is much easier than you think it is.
I did want to upgrade to OS X Server (Mountain Lion), but that does mean I first had to install Mountain Lion. At this point there was no server application any longer as everything from Lion Server will be archived.
If you do not want to upgrade to OS X Server, just follow my upgrade path, but stop before downloading the Server app from the App Store... Simple...

  • Google Voice Won't Work With Bluetooth Headset After Jelly Bean

I am SO frustrated. I had no idea I was installing the Jelly Bean update when I updated the software on my phone. Note to Verizon Communications team: PLEASE do a better job of communicating significant software updates. I would not have installed Jelly Bean. I learned long ago to stick with factory OS on my phones.
Since the update, I noticed that I could no longer dictate texts and emails. Also, my call recording app no longer worked. I switched to Swype and it would work for a few minutes and then stop.  I could still use my bluetooth headset to make calls and S voice worked (although, like others here, I noticed that it's now worse--it doesn't recognize any contact names I request anymore). After trolling Android forums I found that the problem is with the bluetooth headset. You can still dictate when the phone's bluetooth is on, but when a device is connected, all bets are off.
I almost did a factory reset, but then I read that a hard reset will not restore ICS, nor did it resolve this bluetooth Google Voice issue for the few people who tried it already. In fact, resetting caused more problems (eg., more battery drain and removal of Adobe Flash, etc.).
Does anyone know how I can go back to ICS? Bluetooth and Google Voice are the two features I value most in my phones. This is a NIGHTMARE.

    rcschnoor -
The Bluetooth/Voice Search/Dictation issue is a valid issue for the OP, a valid issue for me and oh yeah, the hundreds of other people affected by the, "Google Voice Search stuck on "Initializing" bug filed here on the Google Android Project page.  Here is yet another reference to the same issue from Android Central.
The "Google Music freezing after Jelly Bean Update on Galaxy S3" is also a valid and documented bug located here also on the Google Android Project page.
So I ask, how does sharing with these people that do have these issues, and are affected by them, that you are not experiencing these issues help in any way?  Isn't that the whole purpose of a community forum to help others?

I anonymized the MAC of the Bluetooth headset because otherwise, somebody would probably yell at me for the security vulnerability. Because with that MAC, someone could uh ..... they could ...... uhm ...... well I anonymized it anyways.
So without further ado, here's what I do to try and get my bluetooth headset going:
    [root@yvonne bluetooth]# lsmod | grep ^snd_bt_sco
    snd_bt_sco 14028 0

That ensures I've got the appropriate module loaded.

I've got HCID going, with DBus started first (read up about that on the forums)

Note that each time after I wipe out the keys from /var/lib/bluetooth, I'm putting the headset back into pairing mode by holding down its "phone" button.
So I'm kind of at the end of my rope here. Something is going wrong during pairing, but what is it? dmesg isn't giving me any clues here either. Is the PIN not getting transmitted properly or something?[/code]

Ok, there's some strange things happening with bluetooth these days it seems. I had a lot of trouble setting up a connection to my phone, even after following avery bit of advice I found on the net.
But somehow I found a way, and now it works. I had to do some things not documented anywhere, excepte from some obscure places from 2003 etc.
The most significant problem I encountered was that my phone would never find my computer, even though I set pscan and iscan enabled.
Here's a line of code I found that fixed the problem for me. It could work for you too, since your problem looks exactly like the things I saw when the phone couldn't see my computer.
    dbus-send --system --dest=org.bluez /org/bluez/hci0
    org.bluez.Adapter.SetMode string:discoverable
I write this after the bluetooth system has started.
    Hope it helps

  • My LG G3 won't detect my bluetooth headsets

I have two Sony Ericsson bluetooth headsets, MW600 and HBH-IS800. They both worked fine on my old Droid RAZR MAXX, but my LG G3 doesn't even detect them. All that it picks up is my neighbors Roku Player. I've made the phone visible, searched for devices on it, and pushed the buttons on the headsets but nothing seems to work. Are they incompatible? Is there a way to fix this?

I know how important it is to use Bluetooth on your phone, golney. Did you place the Bluetooth headsets into Pairing/Discovery Mode? What color are the lights on your Bluetooth when in Discovery Mode? If you're unsure how to place your Bluetooth headset into Discovery Mode, please check with the manufacturer http://www.sonymobile.com/us/support.

  • Iphone Bluetooth Headset

I just bought one maybe 2 weeks ago and the silly thing will not hold a charge, it says it's charged but when it is paired with my Iphone 3GS the battery icon shows less than a 1/4 charge on it........Whatsup with that? These things aren't cheap........

I haven't really seen any problem with mine. It works fine. I hate bluetooth headsets to begin with, and only use it when I am driving in an area that does not permit the use of a cellphone in the car that isn't through the headset.
It holds the charge for about a day or two if not used -- an hour or so if you do use it. It's longer than I would ever use it.
But if yours isn't holding a charge - it's defective and return it for exchange or a different headset.

  • Song Metadata Not displayed on MW600 bluetooth headset, any way of fixing this?

I have a ipod touch 4g on 4.3.3 and i have a sony ericsson MW600 hifi bluetooth headset, I know that the ipod touch 4g has AVRCP profile but when i pair the two together, the song playing is not displayed on the headset, why is that?
if i pair it with the sony ericsson w995, song title is displayed correctly ??
is it something to do with the hardware or is it not yet implemented in the IOS??
    Thanks

Hi, don't think it's possible to do what you want, however do you really need sat nav for the whole journey ? It's no solution, and I have used many sat nav systems (I work in the motor trade) and Nokia Maps is pretty good. However once the 'Novelty' wears off, do you really need sat nav for the whole journey, unless you're a delivery driver on an unfamiliar route, most people don't really need sat nav till the last couple of miles, if you're on a long journey, it will nearly always involve a long drive on a major highway, where there is no need for directions. I normally use sat nav for the last couple of miles to find a specific address, or maybe  just before an unfamiliar city, I know this isn't answering your question, but you rarely need sat nav for the 'whole' journey !
    Good Luck

  • Idea for a Bluetooth Headset

I don't where/how to offer suggestions for Apple, but this seems like a decent place...
I really like bluetooth headsets, except for phones that also come with music, namely, the iPhone. The problem is that bluetooth headsets only come for one ear which is far from ideal when listening to music. Maybe someone has already had this idea and made a phone, if so, please tell me, otherwise someone please make one so I can buy it. But I think a bluetooth headset that came with a retractable earbud would be a really awesome idea so that if only a normal bluetooth headset is desired, the extra earbud can be easily attached to the primary bluetooth piece, but when one wants to listen to music in both ears, the second earbud can be pulled out of the bluetooth piece and put into the other ear through a retractable wire, much like many vacuum cleaner cords come, or like a tape measure. This way, music can be listened with both ears or one can talk on the phone through one ear and two separate devices don't have to be carried around when one could be easily lost and you get the convenience and awesomeness of bluetooth.

OK, so after doing some research I found a bluetooth headset called the Plantronics Voyager 855 that has a normal bluetooth headset, but it also has another earbud that can be plugged in to it and wrapped around the back of the head for Stereo music. The problem is that the extra earbud has to be carried around if there is a possibility of its being used and dealt with if its use is not desired. The other problem is that, after reading some other posts, it may not be compatible with the iPhone, as it appears that many bluetooth headsets aren't. I think apple should make a bluetooth headset with and extra attached, and retractable earbud that works seemlessly with the iPhone.
