Two Cards, Two countries?

Hi Everybody,
Is there any way, how to store two different cards in to itunes?
I made most of my purchases through czech credit card, and now a would like to use UK one. But problem is when I have active UK card, than I cant update applications bought from czech store (czech card) and vice-versa.
Thanks a lot for any help. Sorry about my English.
Zdenek

There is no way to have two different credit cards in one account. Even if there were, though, it would not work in your case since you cannot use a UK credit card in a Czech iTunes Store account, and cannot use a Czech card in a UK iTunes Store account.
Regards.

You can contact the iTunes Store - http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/contact/.  At the bottom left, you will see a "contact support" link.  Just select it, then select "iTunes Store".  Select "iTunes cards and codes", then "iTunes Card code is not readable", and follow the on screen instructions.

  • Nvidia GF 9500M shows up as two cards. How to manage?

My Nvidia GF 9500M shows up as two cards: 9200M at PCI:0:2:0:0 and 9400M at PCI:0:3:0:0.  Currently, I only include the 9400M in my xorg.conf (Currently the same as the example on the Dell XPS 13 entry in the wiki) However, the 9200M continues to generate errors when I start my X server:

I assume the 9200M isn't meant to be accessed directly and the current setup seems to work.  However, is there a correct/more elegant way to manage this two card issue and get rid of the errors on startup?

The first  warning is happening because you're stating drivers for input devices without need. You haven't disabled hotplug so evdev gets used instead of kbd. This is normal, and you should change the driver line from kbd to evdev so that whatever options (if any) you've specified for the keyboard get parsed.
The second warning is about you not installing acpid.
The third I have no idea about, but look at the synaptics wiki. None of the (WW) are related to your video card.
And every card that has 2 or more output ports show up as "two cards". You also don't need to specify the pci port in xorg.conf. edit: this is the general case with laptops, might be different for desktops.
    When I do lspci -v I get:

There is a reason we don't say use the "latest" or "best" methods to complete tasks, because they are vague ill defined terms.
Could you return us the favor and tell us exactly what version of Pages on what version of OSX.

  • Raw + JPG from two cards

With the D3, I write RAW images on one card slot and JPG to the other. When I shoot with other cameras that do not have two card slots and shoot Raw+JPG to the same card, LR is set up to treat these pairs of files as one. When I batch rename, both files get renamed. The problem is that I do not know of a way to "combine" the Raw and the JPG when they are copied from two separate cards but otherwise are the same photo. Does LR have a way to do this after the fact?
The reason why I want to do this is to use LR to rate, sort and renumber the images from a shoot. End prints will be made from the Raw files. But I'd like to use the camera JPG's as the basis for uploading the images to the web quickly. The raw images often need more tweaking than the JPG for web delivery. To get the images online quickly, I need to use the JPG versions. And in order to do this and not rate both a raw and the same jpg, I need for LR to see them as the "same" file. Can this be done?

Jao, thanks for your post. The reason why I do need to treat the +JPGs as one file is specifically so that I can rate and rename them.
It would be nice if LR allowed you to import Raw+JPG as one but then gave you an option to display one or the other type of file. This way, I could go through the JPG's faster for rating as the files are smaller, but still apply the rating to the RAW files. Then I could also create a web site from the JPG's in LR w/o doing anything special as well. When I am ready to make adjustments to the RAW files, I could set the LR switch to only display and adjust the RAW files. Since LR is already smart enough to treat them as "one file", I would not think it would be a stretch to add a display option to display one file type or the other.
But back to my original post, I think that the solution that you have provided should work. I can simply copy the files to the hard drive first from the two cards and when I import the files into LR, LR should then know to keep the RAW and JPG files together.
Once the rating and renaming is done on the combined files, I can simply create a windows folder with just the files that are rated high enough to put on my web site for the shoot. Then, I could either re-import just the JPG files into a catalog to create a web site of just the JPG's, or easily use Bridge to segregate out only the JPG files to create a web site using Bridge. While these procedures are not ideal, they are easy and will work quickly to accommodate hundreds of images. So the only missing piece for my was copying the images to the hard drive before importing them into LR. Thanks for the tip!

  • Cannot use GPU acceleration with 64 bit CS5 under 64 bit Windows 7 with two cards ATI & nVidia

Subject sums up the problem, but here are the details:
My ATI is a 5850, and I have drivers 10.6 installed. That's my primary card connected to my main monitor.
The second card is an nVidia GTS 250 connected to my second monitor with 258.96 drivers.
CS5 does not detect my GPU(s), hence, does not enable GPU acceleration. It says:
"Graphics hardware acceleration is unavailable. You will need to upgrade your video driver and possibly your video card" both of which are obviously wrong, since I have the latest CS5 supporting drivers installed for two cards that can run GPGPU applications!
    Any suggestions?
    Thank you.

What ATI support do you find being held back?  Just curious.  I ask because I have a 2 year old ATI 4670 card that supports Photoshop nicely.  The Catalyst software seems to have embraced whatever's necessary to run Photoshop.*

    * That said, I see a specific bug where sometimes the 32 bit drivers on my x64 system will not be recognized by Photoshop 32 bit as OpenGL-capable at Photoshop startup.  I've reported it to ATI, and they seem to have taken it seriously, so I expect a fix in a future version.  The 64 bit drivers always satisfy Photoshop's needs, so I'm sure it's not a design deficiency but just a lil' ol' bug.

  • Triigering two cards from one trigger

Here is a quick question - in the diagram below it shows two cards (DEV1 and DEV2) being triggered from the same device (DEV1).
The way I understand LabVIEW is that once it is setup and sitting waiting for the trigger it becomes indpenedant of sofwtare making it more accurate in time. That is fine for DEV1 using a DEV1 trigger, what happens if DEV2 is using a DEV1 trigger does it incur a time cost does it use software in order to begin acquiring ADC data.
I suppose to summarise what I am asking is,
    (1) If I wired the trigger into one device and then on my VI made both devices look at that trigger will it be less accurate than if I (2) phyiscally wired the same trigger to both DEV1 and DEV2 via a SCB-68  and then in the VI made them look at their own device trigger. Is (2) more accurate because I am using both the cards hardware to begin data acquisition and in (1) I have one card which is relying on sofwtare to tell it tha something is triggered. If this is a case is it really an issue anyway, i mean is do I really incur large error in timing (a 1ms is bad timing in my case)?

    Hello Mr Nice,
Using a RTSI cable between your devices will be the way to go to achieve what you wish. Theres a great article on the NI DeveloperZone that discusses the different possiblities of Multifunction and Multidevice triggering and synchronisation, you can read it here: M Series Synchronization with LabVIEW and NI-DAQmx
    Hope this helps

  • Import from two cards

Just a question about importing into LR3 from a camera with two cards.
I import from a camera with two card slots.  I record RAW files to one card and JPG files to the other as a backup.  How is it possible to import just the RAW files not the JPG files?
And does the DONT IMPORT SUSPECTED DUPLICATES option work?

    Use a card reader.
If you need to import directly from the camera, this may depend on the camera and setup, I assume that importing directly from the camera mounts both cards as separate volumes.  You should be able to choose which one is the source images you want in the import dialogue (on the left.)
Lr will do its best to not support duplicates already present in the catalogue.

Are you able to go back to where you bought it from and see if they can activate it properly ? If not then you can try contacting iTunes Support (you will probably need to give them images of the front and back of the card, and probably of the receipt) : http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/contact/ - click on Contact iTunes Store Support on the right-hand side of the page, then iTunes Cards And Codes

  • Driver Problems with two Cards installed

I have, for some time now been running 3 screens (required for my flight sim), the primary off of an AGP FX5600, the other 2 off of a PCI 5200.  Having recently attempted to update video drivers I ran into problems in that the whist the 5600 is happy with the latest drivers the 5200 wasn't so I had to backout the update.
I assume, therefore, that my 5600 will always, as a consequence, be held back by my 5200's requirements or is there something I can do about this.
I have been thinking along the line of putting 2 cards of the same spec in but I'm confused by the DVI connectors shown with the newer cards i.e. I presently use the VGA connection on the 5600 (which also has a DVI which I do not use) and the 2 dual head VGA connectors on the 5200.  I note that most of the newer cards only have DVI connections?
I assume that double headed DVI's means that 4 screens could be run simutaneously,     a good advantage to me but can they be converted to VGA connections.  I think my latest 19" Monitor has a DVI connector but the others don't and I cannot afford to purchase three new monitors as well as new cards.
Would appreciate any advice that could be given in my moment of confusion.
    Thanks in advance

Most cards that have DVI only on them include a DVI to VGA adapters.

If you mean on one card, no. The DVI is a single out connector. If you mean between the two cards, then yes. If your card doesn't have a DVI to VGA adapter you can find them, but none of my local stores carried them. I would have to order it online. It may be more available where you live.

It sounds to me like you have some file corruption somewhere.  Either in the transfer of your library to the external or the external itself is flaky if it keeps ejecting.

  • Hi, I have two iPads, two separate accounts I have purchased apps on one Acc. and would like to use them on my second iPad. How is this possible

I have two iPads, two separate accounts I have purchased apps on one Acc. and would like to use them on my second iPad. How is this possible

If you go to Settings > iTunes & AppStore , you can sign out from your account, and sign in with the one you've used to purchase apps. This will not remove any apps you already have on it.
Then you can go to AppStore and download apps you've purchased (either via "Purchased" button in "Updates", or simply search for them and download them.
That way you can have multiple accounts' apps on your iPad. When updating, you will be prompted for the credentials for account you've purchased given App with.

  • Two MacBooks, Two Users, One MobileMe Family account

My wife and I both have MacBooks (different ones). We have a MobileMe Family account. Each laptop uses are unique MobileMe names, address books, calendars, etc... (i.e. I have an account, she has a MobileMe account). We both also have our own iPhone linked to these accounts respectively.
We also have a 'joint' MobileMe account (email and calendar only). This same joint account is the iTunes account for both of us.
We are still on MobileMe. I see lots of people having problems.
One problem I anticipate we will have is: How will iCloud know how to sync our accounts between hers, mine, and ours? There apparently is only one setting: ON and OFF.
We want our individual MobileMe accounts syncing email and calendars from our MacBooks and iPhones -- but our Joint account (iTunes, email, calendar) syncing to us both.
Is this going to be a mess on iCloud?
Thanks for any tips on how to better prepare for the conversion.

    Roger,
    Thanks for the reply.
I think I understand what you are saying.
I am wondering why the iCloud would be device-dependent. For instance, we have in our home two MacBooks, two iPhones, one iPad, one AppleTV. So, somewhat preciently knowing we'd eventually have more Apple devices, our main account (esp for iTunes) is our joint account. Joint email, calendar, and iTunes/iBooks content. Works great.
So, if we had a family with children with their own accounts, would it then not be possible for each person to have their own accounts and iCloud syncing off of, say, one home computer?
I recall in Steve Jobs's presentation that they 'demoted' the computer to just a device served by iCloud (much like the iPhone, iPad, etc... So, if an iPad can have multiple MobileMe accounts, as a MacBook may, why couldn't iCloud sync them all?
Thanks for the instruction -- just trying to figure out how to get things set up when we go to iCloud (we haven't turned it on yet for this reason).
I see in the discussions forums loads of issues from people switching over.
Maybe the right way to do it is each MacBook retains their accounts. Same with the iPhones. But turn off the other, shared accounts. Turn on iCloud...let it see everything, get synced: Computer A with iPhone A with iCloud Account A (email and contacts only). And Computer B with iPhone B with iCloud Account B (email and contacts only). Then add in the shared iCloud Account (email/calendar/iTunes only).
    Thoughts?
    Chris
