Two Collection Companies Reporting the same debt
My husband has a old debt from Sprint that was sent to collections. Now two collection companies Diversified and Enhanced Recovery are both reporting the debt to all 3 agencies. Enhanced Recovery just starting to reporting the debt, so I assumed Diversified sold them the debt, so I disputed it. Experian just sent me a email saying that they wouldn't be removing it. I am still wait for the other agencies. Why wouldn't Experian remove it? It is clear to see that they are both reporting the same debt. What do I do next?

I had this exact same situation with Diversified, and when I disputed, I entered the comment "Collector does not have collection authority for this account" and it was deleted from all three. While there is no specific legal requirement against this sort of double reporting (there certainly should be IMO), the CRAs have reporting instructions intended to prevent double reporting of collections. A collector is instructed to delete their reporting when an unpaid debt is moved to a new collector.

Collecting data from advantech-usb4704 with two different apps at the same time
I wonder if I can access to Advantech-4704 with two different applications at the same time?
I use this block in my vis.
I have enough ports, but inputs are needed in completely different applications. Do I have to close one of them or can they run simultaneously?
Thankyou!Dear gtu,
as nathand said, usually it is not supported to access the same physical resource simultaneously from multiple programs. In case of DAQmx for instance, you will get an error message which says that the resource is already reserved. I suppose the same would happen with your driver, however it might be worth a try.
One workaround could be however if you revise your applications and merge the codes if it is possible so that no concurent resource allocation takes place.

Summary: The Storage Spaces UI has several problems when there are more than 21 physical disks available to Storage Spaces.
I have 28 SATA disks connected over 6 controllers. 2 are used for an Intel motherboard RAID1 for OS (PhysicalDisk0), so that leaves 26 data disks for Storage Spaces. [The plan is to get to 36 data disks in due course by adding disks (this 36-bay chassis: http://www.supermicro.com/products/chassis/4U/847/SC847A-R1400LP.cfm)]
Initially, there were 23 data disks (5x 1TB, 1x 640GB, 14x 500GB, 3x 250GB) as PhysicalDisk1-23 (in that order), which I put into a storage pool. I created a parity disk over all 23 disks. It looks like it is working fine, albeit very slowly on writes.
I've now added 3 more 4TB disks, as PhysicalDisk24-26, and taken them offline, and have now noticed errors in the Storage Pools UI in the Server Manager. For example:
* No more than 21 disks ever show up in the "Physical Disks" area in the lower right. When the 23 disks are connected, only the first 21 show up in the pool I created. With 26 disks connected, only the first 20 show up in the pool, and only 1 more of the
new 3 (PhysicalDisk26) shows up in the Primordial group.
* In the Properties of the parity Virtual Disk created over the 23 disks, the disks are shown incorrectly. Again, only 21 disks are shown, and PhysicalDisk26 is incorrectly shown as part of the virtual disk. See image:
* Using the New Storage Pool Wizard, I cannot add more than 1 of the new 3 disks to a new Storage Pool (only PhysicalDisk26 is available). And the details incorrectly refer to PhysicalDisk21. See image (a WDC WD2500JD-22H is a 250GB disk, not a 4TB disk).
Thus I cannot use the new disks in a new storage pool.
According the blog post at http://blogs.msdn.com/b/b8/archive/2012/01/05/virtualizing-storage-for-scale-resiliency-and-efficiency.aspx:
Q) What is the minimum number of disks I can use to create a pool? What is the maximum?
You can create a pool with only one disk. However, such a pool cannot contain any resilient spaces (i.e. mirrored or parity spaces). It can only contain a simple space which does not provide resiliency to failures. We do test pools comprising multiple hundreds
of disks – such as you might see in a datacenter. There is no architectural limit to the number of disks comprising a pool.
However, the UI currently does not seem to correctly work with more than 21 physical disks. Please advise.
Using Server 2012 RC.
Hardware: Supermicro X8SAX (BIOS v2.0), Intel i7-920 2.67GHz, 6x 2GB DDR3-1333 (certified Crucial CT25664BA1339.16SFD)
Disk controllers: 2x RAIDCore BC4852 (PCI-X, final 3.3.1 driver) (15 ports used), 2x Supermicro AOC-SASLP-MV8 (PCIe, 4.0.0.1200 Marvell driver to allow >2TB disks) (6 ports used), Sil 3114 (PCI, latest 1.5.20.3 driver) (1 port used), motherboard Intel
in RAID mode (4 ports used for data, plus 2 for OS RAID1).An update. I added 16x SATA disks across 2x Supermicro AOC-SASLP-MV8. All 16 disks report the same UniqueID.
I have 25 disks in the pool now (23 as parity; 2 as journal added via PowerShell). 10 of these are on the two AOC-SASLP-MV8 controllers. Only the first 16 disks show up in the UI, so 9 are missing from the UI - which is consistent with this UI bug where
only one disk per UniqueID shows up. PowerShell does work to manage the SS.

Two Cube dimensions with the same name.
Hi
If I have a cube dimension that has the same name as another cube dimension, will this be an issue when quering the cube through 1) Excel 2) SSRS or Cognos Reports?
For instance: The Database dimension DimOrganization exists in cube A as well as
DimOrganization_Dep. Both dimension has the same attribute names and the same hierarchy names.
Their database names are different. (object_ID and Object_name differs)
In the cube I change the name of DimOrganization_Dep to DimOrganization.
This seem to work when I query the cube in Excel, the mdx looks like this;
SELECT NON EMPTY { [Measures].[AntalNotNull] } ON COLUMNS, NON EMPTY { ([Dim Organization].[Yes- No].[ Yes- No].ALLMEMBERS * [Dim Organization].[Yes- No].[Yes- No].ALLMEMBERS ) } DIMENSION PROPERTIES MEMBER_CAPTION, MEMBER_UNIQUE_NAME
ON ROWS FROM [TEST] CELL PROPERTIES VALUE, BACK_COLOR, FORE_COLOR, FORMATTED_VALUE, FORMAT_STRING, FONT_NAME, FONT_SIZE, FONT_FLAGS
Anyone knows if this kind of setup will result in problems when quering from SSRS reports or Cognos?
And/or if even though I get it right in the cube (quering from Excel) it might as well give me the wrong result the next time?
Cheers
/MartinHi
Thanks for the reply.
I have tried and yes I can change then cube dimension namn to that of another cube dimension.
For instance if i have Cube Dimension "DimA" and "DimB" to begin with , then I change the name of the cube dimension "DimB" to "DimA". So now I have two Cube dimensions with the same name.
It works to deploy and process and Excel somehow understands which one is which.
Both is present in the same cube as you can see from the MDX above.
The tricky part is how does the mdx return the correct result when the mdx looks like this (and it dpoes return the correct result).?
Cheers

I have two laptops authorized with the same itunes account. However, there are different playlists on each laptop. One laptop is messed up and I cannot get on the internet with it, so I was able to deauthorize it from the itunes account. I thought that would bring the playlists over to the other computer, but it did not. Is there a way to do it?

Two Flex app on the same web page + BlazeDS
Hi,
On our welcome page, we have two small apps that display advertisement; they are both identical and use BlazeDS. When the welcome pas shows, I always have one of the app that receives this fault :
[RPC Fault faultString="Detected duplicate HTTP-based FlexSessions, generally due to the remote host disabling session cookies. Session cookies must be enabled to manage the client connection correctly." faultCode="Server.Processing.DuplicateSessionDetected" faultDetail="null"]
I feel the problem comes from the fact that two apps from the same page access the same service at the same time. Am I wrong?Hi. I believe you are right. Using a HTTP sniffer such as Charles to look at the HTTP headers would tell us exactly what is happening but I think we can assume that you are in the ballpark.
If the server gets a request with no session cookie header, I think it will create a new session and then send a Set-Cookie header on the response with the new session id. It is likely that if both your apps are making their initial requests to the server at roughly the same time that neither of the requests has a session cookie header. In that case the server is probably creating two sessions, one for each request and that is likely causing problems.
While I haven't tested this particular scenario, I have been doing some testing around session cookie handling in BlazeDS recently. I would see if you can workaround this problem by already having a HTTP session established with the server before either of your apps runs. One way to do this would be by having a jsp page redirect to your welcome page. The call to the jsp page would cause a session to get created on the server. The server would return a Set-Cookie header with the new session id. The browser would then request the welcome page sending a session cookie header on the request. Your apps would load. Each app would make its initial request to the server only this time the requests would contain a session cookie header for the same valid HTTP session. . . and you would avoid getting duplicate session detected errors. . . at least that's I hope would happen.
If I have some free time I will try running through this scenario (having two small apps on the same page) and report back.
Hope that helps.

Two server sockets on the same machine, one not working.
Dear forum users.
I'm currently having a problem with running two server sockets on the same computer.
It gives no exceptions or anything, just that if i connect with another machine, the last serversocket that started,
will not accept connections..
Scenario:
Computer 1: Main server.
Computer 1: Game server.
Computer 2: Client
Computer 2 connects first to the main server (lets say port 13371)
Then connects to game server (port 6112).
Computer 2 failes to connect to the Game server for some reason.
But if i open a client at Computer 1, connects to main server, and then game server, it
works fine.
And if I put computer 2 as a Game server,
then everything works fine.
Working scenario:
Computer 1: Main server.
Computer 2: Game server
Computer 2: Client
Computer 1: Client
Now, however many that wants to connect to game server, works.
I have gone through the code 100 times now it feels like. And still dont see why this happends.
Anyone know if it is "working as intended"? Or just me doing something completely wrong that i cant see myself?
Sorry for not posting code, its too much code to post.Oh, sorry.

Reporting the Same Score Regardless of Right/Wrong
Hi everyone,
This is a very odd request...my client, for some reason, wants to report the same score for the quiz regardless of whether it's right or wrong.
So, if the learner gets the correct answer, they get 1 point. If they get it wrong (even after giving them 2 attempts), they still want it to report 1 point.
It sounds like they don't want to change it to 0. I've already offered that as a solution.
They want the pass/fail settings to report 0%.
This request doesn't make any sense to me. It completely goes against the point of reporting a score.
Any ideas on how I should address this with them and give the same score regardless of right/wrong answers?
Thanks,
KristenHi everyone,
Rod, the client wants to give a percentage. They don't care about the score. And as much as I question their request, I was asked to just research potential solutions and not question it. Frustrating, I know.
Lieve was able to give me two solutions offline that they will consider. Thank you, Lieve!
I can't give them unlimited attempts. The client has made it VERY clear that they only want to allow 2 attempts. And they also don't want to rely solely on slide views...they would like for it to report the same score for every learner that basically shows they attempted to answer the question (right or wrong).
Thanks everyone!

Is there a way my two children can use the same laptop and have their own individual music accounts?
Do you mean different music collections, camille?
If so, there's several options given in the following document:
How to use multiple iPods, iPads, or iPhones with one computer -
Share iTunes purchases between two user accounts on the same Mac?
I have a Macbook Pro, for my bride and I, and a Macbook, for our kids. Both Macs are authorized on my iTunes account.
So, how can I share an iTunes Store purchased song on my account with my wife's? I understand how to turn on sharing and she can see my songs in iTunes on her account, but she cannot synch them to her iPod.
Now, I'm allowed to authorize an iTunes account on up to five Macs. I have two. But I have four accounts. Either way, I won't be exceeding five copies, but can't find a way to get a song I bought in my iTunes to my wife's iPod.
We use the same iTunes account but don't want to have to buy things twice to get them on her iPod. Just seems weird that I could put it on five machines but not two user accounts on the same one.
Message was edited by: Sky GuyOn my Mac Pro I moved the entire library to "Macintosh HD/Shared/iTunes". Changed the Folder location in iTunes Preferences->Advanced->General to point to that location. Then in each user change the Music/iTunes folder to be an alias or link pointing to the Shared/iTunes folder. You will likely need to change the permissions on that folder to give everyone the ability to read and write. Do that via "Get Info" on the iTunes folder using Finder. I'd suggest backing everything up before you do this.

Two different Resultsets for the same query (running at the same time)
I am using the Thin Driver for Oracle 8.1.6. I am invoking queries in multithreading mode (each thread has his own connection to the oracle DB). If i am invoking the same SQL-Statement in two different threads nearly at the same time, only the ResultSet of the first query is complete. The ResultSet of the second query is not complete (the number of tuples differs each time I run the program). Principally the two ResultSets should be the same (no changes are done at the same time in the DB), but they are not.
Anybody knows this problem and knows how to solve it? Principally read accesses on DBs should not make such trouble ...
I hope anybody can help me.Pranav,
As this BADI is having option checked 'Multiple use'. You can implement multiple implementations.
You need not to deactivate the existing implementation.

I am trying to store music for two different iPods on the same Windows 8 computer, and when I try and download content from the Cloud I get an error message. Is it possible to have two different Apple IDs on the same computer?
Unfortunately you've discovered too late how important it is to maintain an up-to-date backup of your iTunes library (and all other data of value). You could, before wiping the drive, have considered making use of a commercial data recovery service that could (albeit at considerable cost) have extracted your library from the hard disk, even if virus infected.
In the absence of that option, you will need to restore the content of your library from its original sources:
Depending on your location, you may be able to re-download any iTunes Store purchases that are still available on the Store
Likewise, most digital purchases from Amazon (including auto-rip copies of purchased CDs) should be available from the Amazon Cloud and via the Amazon Music application - the same may be true of other commercial sources for digital downloads
Content imported from your CDs will have to imported again
The specific situation that you describe regarding the music imported from your friend's external HDD suggests that either the source is badly organized and/or originates from a source other than iTunes (other media players may use alternative tags for information like artist, title, album, etc. that are not wholly consistent with how iTunes handle these). Without details of the issues you're seeing it is difficult to suggest a remedy other than going through the media album-by-album, track-by-track, and correcting the inconsistencies.
In the absence of a backup or access to the original library data there is no option other than painstakingly recreating your library as described above. As you do so, you'll now realize how important creating and maintaining backups are - in my case I have at all times three separate duplicates of my library, in two different locations, where none is ever more than a week old compared to the content of my master library. -
Two processes running at the same time in Lookout
I have installed Lookout 5.0 with 200 I/O Points onto our server computer. The application of motion control is next to the 200 I/O points through OPC PMAC server/client. Now I would like to have a second process in the same server for trouble shooting and testing without stopping the motion control process. However, this second testing process could have also many I/O points through Serial and USB ports. I assume that the total amount of I/O points of both processes will be greater than 200.I prefer to have independent processes for control and testing because access levels. Can I have these two processes running at the same time when needed?
Hi,
From your description you are using a third party OPC server for the motion application. You could have a second Lookout process communicating with the same OPC server with no problems, as long as you do not exceed the number of I/O points your license supports.
Also, the process you are using for testing obviously could not overwrite datamembers (or registers if you will) that would interfere in the overall application, in other words you can test your application as long as you keep the coherency of the test.
So the answer would be, yes it is possible, however you are still limited to the number of I/O's your license supports... You may even consider upgrade the number of I/O's you have in your license.

Exporting two remote objects on the same port
Hi,
I would like to export two remote objects on the same host, same port and bind them with different service names.
There is no problem when I do that from the same Java program.
But when I export and bind an object from a Java program 1, I cannot do the same with the second (and similar) Java program 2. This is the stack trace of my Exception:
java.rmi.server.ExportException: Port already in use: 50040; nested exception is:
java.net.BindException: Address already in use: JVM_Bind

Which needs to be present and needs to take the form:
public boolean equals(Object object)
return object != null && object.getClass() == this.getClass();
}with further tests if the server socket factories have additional state. -
I am looking for the best way (or any way) to interact between two different frames in the same indesign template as well as from one template to another. It's for a DPS app which needs to carry some button initiated data from one page to another and then present it in a table.
There is no simple way to do it, as itunes wont let you use it on another computer without wiping the contents first.
However if you really want to transfer songs to another computer then you could try this;
* make sure that your ipod is accessible as a disk drive (ipod options)
* when you plug your ipod into the computer you want to transfer to make sure you select "no" or "cancel" when it asks to wipe the contents. Leave the ipod connected and quit from itunes.
* go to "my computer" and access the ipod directly. You probably have to select "view hidden files" from windows. You will see a lot of folders with odd names like ZX838aff with similar named files inside.
* copy these files to a folder on your computers hardrive. Now remove the ipod and start itunes.
* import the files from the folder you made in the last step.
* Now your music is on itunes, but with unrecogisable names.
This is the only way I have found to do it, but there may be another way, say with an application to do the hard work for you.
