Two computer confusion

hello. i had to send an MG3222 back because it was faulty. so they sent me  an MG3520. should i uninstal the 3222 or what?? i tried installing the CD for the 3520 but i don't see its avatar anywhere on screen or any info at all. what should i do?

Hi candacemiller,
You do not need to uninstall the PIXMA MG3222 to use the PIXMA MG3520; however, if you would like to uninstall the printer, please reply with what operating system is on your computer (version of Windows or Mac OS X) and we will be happy to provide instruction.
If the installation CD for the PIXMA MG3520 is not working, you can download the drivers from the Canon USA website. Please click here to go to the Drivers and Software page for the PIXMA MG3520. Once on the initial download page for your model, please do the following:
1. Verify that the operating system detected in the "OPERATING SYSTEM" drop-down menu is correct, and if it is not, please click the drop-down menu to select your operating system.
2. Next, please click on the red arrow next to the "RECOMMENDED DOWNLOADS" section and click the FULL DRIVER AND SOFTWARE PACKAGE file. When you do, a red DOWNLOAD button will appear. Please click on the checkbox below the DOWNLOAD button, then click the red DOWNLOAD button to begin the download. The time for the download process may vary depending on the speed of your Internet connection and the size of the file being downloaded.
Once you have downloaded the file, please double-click on it and follow the prompts to install the printer and associated software on your computer.
Hope this helps!

  • How do I give a separate task ID to two compute waveform sub vi's running sumiltaneously in one vi?

I'm running two compute waveform sub vi's in one main vi. The idea is to output two signals that I can vary independently to each other but when I hook LabVIEW up to a Oscilloscope, I only get one output and the other is just a flat line. I noticed that I'm unable to modify the subvi's independently ie: I change the duty cycle on one and its changed on both of them. Do I need to assign a separate task ID? If so, how do I do this?

    Hello;
In case you are outputing two waveforms to two analog output channels, you don't need to have two task IDs to accomplish that.
In case you want to vary one of the two waveforms and keep the other one stable, you can juct modify the buffer array of data points that will be output. Once you configure a analog output channels for two channels of the same DAQ device, you first setup a buffer of data, and such buffer is formed in a way that first data point goes to channel 0, second data poing goes to channel 1, third data point to channel 0 again, fourth data point to channel 1, and so on. That means you can alter only the data points that correspond to one of the channels, while keeping the other ones fixed. That will make only one analog output channel t
    o change.
    Hope this helps.

  • How can I communicate between two computer via RS 232 port?

I would like to communicate between two computer in order to servo a motor motion to an acquisition.
Thank you in advance for your answer an your solutions

PreScript: I did not rate the above answer!
Here's a VI I use to test my instruments - if you have it running on both PCs, you should be able to communicate (with the help of a Null modem between them - cross Rx and Tx) - hopefully this will get you started.
    cheers,

  • I want to install acrobat pro on my two computer

how can I install acrobat pro on my two computer

    Hi two computer installation,
The end-user license agreement allows you to install Acrobat on up to two computers. You can download Acrobat on the new computer by logging in to your account at https://cloud.acrobat.com/acrobat.
Since you have a subscription, no serial number is required. You should be able to log in and use Acrobat as soon as you have it installed.

  • Two Computer Activation Limited by Suite or by Title?

I'm wondering if the two computer limited activation is for the suite or if it can be title by title?
    Here's the scenario:
I have three computers.  One is my central computer for doing all sorts of work, so the entire suite would be on that one.  However, I have two other more dedicated computers.  One is focused on print and data, while the other is focused on web and screen.  Is it possible to have everything on the main computer, while having my second Illustrator installaton on one secondary computer and have Dreamweaver secondarily installed on yet another computer?
I'm assuming not, but still need clarification.
    Thanks

    Hi Esaeonyc2,
It is only two computers, the activation applies to all products included in the suite. This is the same if you bought a suite of perpetual products as well.

  • Stretching Timeline cross a two computer monitor config.

I'm working with FCP6 using two Computer monitors. I like to stretch my timeline across
the two screens. I then save my window layout. If someone else comes to use the machine,
calls up the standard window layout, and then I come back later and call up my custom window layout that I saved earlier, the timeline is no longer stretched out across the two screens.
Does anybody know why and how I can make it default to the timeline stretch across the two windows?
    Thanks.

    Mathew,
You shouldn't have a problem using built-in audio if you're monitoring on the computer monitor. Built-in is low enough latency that it shouldn't matter. As you say, they appear to be in sync. If you were monitoring video through your Decklink, and audio through the built-in, then I would suspect a problem because the video D to A conversion introduces video latency.
Why a sequence would go a bit out of sync a few weeks later after making no changes is a mystery. Unless you changed something else in your system that could have changed the buffer settings for built-in audio? Just a longshot.

  • Connecting Audigy to two comput

My son uses a two computer set up with a KVM switch. One computer is used as a jukebox and the other for creation of new music. He wants to connect his Audigy and 5. speakers so that it is available to both computers. The KVM switch has sound connections but these are for 2. sound only - I guess that some kind of switch box would do the job but advice would be welcome

You didn't mention, which version of Audigy your brother has.
Would his sources be stereo only from the non Audigy system? If yes, then he can just send/receive audio through analog I/Os or digital (S/PDIF) I/Os from non Audigy PC to Audigy. If LineIn on Audigy is already reserved, he can connect to AUX-In or CD Audio connectors found from Audigy board (4- pin connectors). I.e. connect the other PC audio system like he would connect any external audio device into Audigy.
On Audigy then, to get signal inputted, he needs just to enable the proper Source channel and CMSS processing to get the stereo source processed into multichannel output. If it don't work directly then through some software like Hermann Seib's VSTHost http://www.hermannseib.com/english/ w/ or w/o processing plugins.

  • Swap two computer made backups impossible

    Hello,
Lately, I've swap users acount between two computers (mine and my girlfriend's). I migrate my acount in my girlfriendcomputer and everything seems to work properly. But when I try to make a backup, it says that I can't reach the time capsule (or it's not available). I think this may be comming from the identity of the two computer or something. What should I do to make backup works again?
Additionnal information (that may be the cause of the problem):
         - I didn'T erase user accounts on neither of the computers.
         - I had to go work with my old computer one day after the migration and I did a additional backup from my old computer (so time capsule has a later version of the backup compared to my account on my girlfriend computer). I was thinking that I could just bring back this newer backup in my girlfriend computer like would have done with mine (I couldn't - it's not a problem, I transfered manually the changed files).
         - I changed the computer name somewhere but can't find where.
Both computer (macbookpro7.1 and 8.2) are up to date for software.
    Thanks

    Progress!
After doing more search on this board, I ran accross the most excellent pages written by Pondini.  Wow!  There is someone who deserves a serious pat on the back!  That is outstanding and incredibly thorough, helpful work.  Thank you Pondini!
Down about a third on this page
    http://web.me.com/pondini/Time_Machine/E2.html
    he says
"If your backups were made over a network, and don't show up in the selection window above, you'll need to manually mount the sparse bundle they're in first."
Altough this is in a different context than the one he refers to, I tried mounting it that way and THEN launching Migration Assistant and, sure enough, my MBP backup now appeared as the second option in the "Select disk" window from the "Restore from Time Machine backups" process.
    Thank you Pondini!

  • License Clarification- Two Computer limitation

This a question regarding the two computer limitation per the license agreement.
If I install only Photopshop on one computer and only Indesign on a second computer,
will this max out my installations? Or, will I be able to install Illustrator on a third computer?
    Thanks

I am getting two different understandings on the discussion boards. It sounds like I would be licensing the 'Creative Cloud Suite' and
not an individual program. Thus, I would be able to operate only one machine at a time regardless of the program being used.
An Adobe employee answering a similar question (see the discussion title listed below) said that the owner of the license could
operate two different programs (PS and AE) on two different computers simultaneously.
Sorry for the redundancy, but I want to understand the limitations before I make a purchase.
Can you use the programs in the creative cloud on multiple computers?

  • Two computer rule for cs6

I currently have cs6 on my desktop and my laptop. If  one of the two crashes will I be allowed to install the program on a new computer? Sorry if this has been asked before. TIA!!

    Yes.
You may need to contact Adobe to explain what happened and free up the activation used by the crashed computer but that's about it.

  • Two computer set up ..... music and slideshow issue

I have my Apple TV set up to stream my music from my main computer and stream my Aperture photos that are on another computer. I can access both my swapping the source on the Apple TV.... but i want to be able to play my music while having a slideshow of my photos...... i cannot seem to get this to work as the sources are different on the Apple TV ..... is there a way to do this ?
    Many Thanks

I don't think yoiu can stream from two different source computers at the same time. Move the music to the same computer as the photo slideshow.

  • Two-computer workflow advice?

I have a desktop Intel iMac; soon I'll have a Mac Book Pro to replace my PB G4, and it will be practical to run Aperture on both (day to day, and for traveling with the MBP). But what is the best way? If I want to import and edit images, not just view them, on both machines, then I see three general methods:
    1. A single library on a portable external drive (the Library chosen in Preferences on bboth machines -- not just referenced masters). Advantage: automatic syncing of work on the two machines. Disadvantage: without the portable drive, nothing's available at all.
The other alternatives use separate but identical libraries (with managed images) on the two machines. To synchronize the libraries:
    2. Maintain a vault on an external drive. When work on one machine is done, update the vault. Then restore the Library from that vault on the other machine. (I haven't actually tried this.) OR
    3. Work with Projects instead: when work is done on one computer, Export the Project(s) and Import it/them on the other.
I'm assuming both machines have internal drives big enough for the whole library. Also that that referencing images doesn't much help, or make a lot of difference, in these scenarios. Also that Previews are a separate question (could be handled differently on the two computers). So my questions are:
    - do people use all these methods?
    - have I left something out, possibly something obvious?
    - are there big advantages or disadvantages I might be ignoring?
This kind of workflow must be pretty common. It would be nice to have some word from Apple, in the shape of one of those useful online Documents perhaps, about the various approaches. (I've searched but haven't found anything like that.)
    Thanks for any counsel.

You may be right that exporting/importing Projects is
    the way to go.
But this situation is only in the very narrowest
sense an instance of multi-user access to a database.
The Aperture license lets you install on two
machines. (You can't run on both if they're networked
together, which means in practice that you have to
turn off Airport on one.) The user will presumably be
using only one copy of Aperture at a time, and
changes to the database will occur only from one at a
    time.
    It's a shame Aperture doesn't have a built-in way to
sync these, which puts it off on the user: it's
obviously vital to remember to update before you do
new work on both machines, creating an impossible
    sync situation.
Still, the question should only be how a user (with a
desktop and a laptop) can most efficiently, and
    reliably (rememberably!) do that.
I fully agree. Way back at version 1.0 I made that feature request: an Aperture-specific documented/supported protocol for the (typical for photogs) use of Aperture on a laptop in the field and then later on a desktop.
It is an enterprise-critical issue for a huge portion of Aperture's user base, but unfortunately Apple still has not accomodated. Perhaps Apple is waiting for some other app to build a great field-laptop to office-desktop workflow, and steal Aperture market share.
