Two computers, how to encrypt/secure mail on both?

Hello All,
Apologize if this has been answered before. I have two computers: a laptop and a desktop, and I use Apple Mail on both. I would like to send signed/encrypted mail from both. I got myself a Thawte personal certificate and installed it on my desktop machine. So far so good, have had no troubles signing/encrypting mail through Apple Mail on the desktop machine. I now want to do the same for my laptop.
Do I need to get another unique certificate from Thawte or can I somehow copy the certificate on my desktop to my laptop? I wish to use the same gmail account on both machines so I don't think a second unique certificate of the same email address is possible. Anyone do this before with success? Thanks for any help.

You can just download the certificate(s) from the Thawte site again on your laptop, then import it into Keychain Access and set it up that way.

Confirm you have imported your certificates into the Windows Certificate store?
Check the info below for the proper procedure.
1. Locate the certificate files you saved on your computer. Double-click the first .P12 file.
2. In the Certificate Import Wizard Dialog, click Next.
3. The file you selected displays in the File Name field. (If it is not already displaying in the field, click Browse to select it.) Click Next.
4. Enter the appropriate backup password:
For the digital certificate file, enter the password that the Stache web page gave you when you downloaded the certificate.
5. Clear the Enable Strong Private Key protection option.
6. Select the Mark this key as exportable option.
7. Make sure the default option Automatically select the certificate store based on the type of certificate is selected and click Next.
8. The application displays a summary of the settings. Click Finish.

Started Itunes on my home computer and added some CDs that were made from old albums and I had to manually inpt titles..then took a stack on a trip and did the same on my laptop. But when I tried to update my Ipod with the laptop it asked did I want to replace the library.
Can't my Ipod be updated from more than one source?
Maybe 50 yrs old is too old for an ipod:)

ITunes on two computers, how to interact

How do import songs from one mac to the other with iTunes.
I can't find a way to solve this.
Both iTunes contains about 4000 songs. It's a **** of a job adding a song to the library looking in the finderlist for a particular song.
I download on two computers and I like the two iTunes libraries identical. So anyone with a quick and smooth fix.

Two computers: how to sync plugin export presets?

Apologies if this question has already been dealt with, but I did not find it from the forum.
How should I deal with the following situation. I have two computers (desktop and laptop), and the desktop works as my "master". I want to copy export presets to my laptop for on-the-road work, including the presets that include settings for the export plugins (namely LR2/Mogrify and MetadataWrangler)?
I can easily deal with having identical versions of the plugins in both computers, but how to sync the export presents? Is it as simple as just copying the contents of ...\Application Data\Adobe\Lightroom\Export Presets\User Presets? Before just testing it I would prefer to hear if the solution is that simple, or if manually copying presets would mess up the LR setting on laptop?
Running Windows XP and Lightroom 2.3.

Thanks. There should not be problems with the drive-letters due to "managed" setup on both computers. Have to test if I could set SyncToy for easy copying of setting while on home network.

ITunes on two computers, how can I sync from both

I guess what I want to do is sync Itunes amongst two computers.
When I got my Ipod for Christmas, at the outset I set up Itunes on my son's laptop. And up to this point I have been syncing from this computer.
Now I want to start to sync from my own laptop (actually I want to be able to sync from both computers) and not loose any content.
I do have the January software update and it was installed from my son's computer. I don't want to loose this update if I sync with my computer.
To date, my Ipod has worked flawlessly. I am hoping not to create a problem by introducting my Ipod to my laptop and trying to sync the Ipod from both computers.
I am not too technically inclinded, so I would appreciate any response to take this into account when replying. Thanks.

There is also an option in iTunes. Go to File>Back up to disc. It will then give you some options of what type of back up you want to do. And don't forget hat if you have music on your iPod that is a form of a back up as well. If it is purchased music from the iTunes store, and you loose your music from system crash or whatever. You can re-install iTunes and then connect you iPod and go to Store >Authorize Computer > enter password and then go to File> Transfer Purchases. Now if you have ripped music and loose it you can use any search engine and search for Ipod Ripper programs. These are third party softwares, so basically it means that they work but Apple does not endorse or support them. But trust me when I tell you if you get one that you have to pay a fee for they work.

I have two apple ids somehow, probably from two mobile and two computers - how do I merge them into one account so they all work with iCloud?

Somewhere, somehow, between two mobile and two macs, I ended up with two apple ids. I figured that this was the root of my problem to syncing. So, I am syncing Mail, Contacts, etc through the one account that I bought storage on this year in iCloud. I want to merge the two accounts, since many of my apps were purchased with my other id. Apparently, Keynote will not merge files since the app was bought with the second id, not the id I am using for icloud.
What to do??? I read, in the forums, that I am definitely not alone. I always had the id I used for the Apple Store to buy iTunes items, and then apps. The other id, that I am using for iCloud was based on my iDisk id, and apparently I set up as a separate account. The much failed iDisk account appears to be the one that I wish I never got involved with. Should I feel the same way about iCloud. If I cannot merge the two APPLE accounts from the same person (ME!!!), then many dropbox really is the answer for my file sharing needs.
Please help me decide.

To begin with, I would like to try to explain Apple's confusing nomenclature in regard to iCloud.
Apple have called the whole cloud thing iCloud, there are a number of features under the iCloud umbrella, some of which require their own login. iTunes is one of these, another is what Apple have unfortunately also called iCloud too.
You can use the same Apple ID (account) to login to both iCloud and iTunes, but you don't need to and often users will login to each service using a different ID.
The part that you need to remember is that the services available when you log into iCloud are completely different and unrelated to those when you log in to iTunes. Your iCloud login enables mail, contacts, calendars, find my phone, Back to My Mac, Documents & Data sharing and photostream, it does not affect any of your iTunes services.
To avoid confusion when discussing your problem, when I mention iCloud, I am referring to the services under the iCloud login, Whereas I will refer to the whole cloud thing as The Cloud.
To go back to your question; you cannot merge accounts, but perhaps using one account for iCloud and the other for iTunes will resolve the majority of the reasons you needed to merge to begin with.

I don't think you'll be able to achieve that with just standard modules.
You'll have to develop your own.
And for the encryption part, check Digital Signatures and Encryption API.

Ical on two computers - how to keep calendars in sync properly

My setup includes a MacBook Pro and an Imac G4. Until one month ago the G4 was my only computer and I used Ical to publish my work schedule. Now I use the MBP primarily. My desire is to have Ical sync my work schedule on both computers, and also continue to publish it online.
As of right now whichever calendar is changed first overwrites the online calendar - I think I need to only have one machine publishing the calendar? Also, new events sync nicely through .Mac, but changed or deleted events do not always seem to get updated on the Imac. Any thoughts?

It seems to me that you have correctly determined that it makes sense to only publish an identical calendar from one of the computers.
After appropriately backing up your calendars, you might want to consider Resetting .Mac Sync. It appears as if both of your computers are using 10.4.6, but just in case..."If you sync between computers with different versions of Mac OS X, try to reset the sync data from the computer with Mac OS X 10.4, if possible."
Make sure that "Synchronize my calendars with other computers using .Mac is checked in the General Preference of the iMac.

How to sinc two computers and get all the files from both

Not sure if this is the right forum for the issue, but... I have a iMac G5 and a MacBook, and I use one or the other for my work. That way I get part of my work on one, and other part on the other Mac. Now, I would like to sinc both of them, so that I have all the files from iMac on the MB, vice versa. I know that I could go slowly and use an external hard drive, copy files from one computer, save on another, but is there any handier and faster way to do it?

No, you have one account (regardless of how many devices connected to it) so when you delete a piece of mail from the account it is gone.

How many AppStore accounts do you have? Most people have just one. Log into the app store using your login name and password from each computer.

Source list is the list for the number of vendors for a material in a purchase org .You can also fix a vendor here.You can procuire the material from both the vendors creating aggrement( ME31K).If you have delivery schedule lines you can go for SA--and schedules for both of them but while creating the PO you need to refer the relevamt aggrement.If not you can aslo the use the functionality of quota AT MEQ1.Source list caters only to some generic needs.
