Two Cost Element for the same GL

Hi,
We have 2 Company Codes - 1000 & 2000. We are using same CoA in both the Company Codes. We have a GL, say 12345678 for posting short/excess amount. So during MIRO, the accounting entry would be:
GR/IR a/c dr.          10,000
GL 12345678                  2
                   Vendor            10,002
GL 12345678 would be dr or Cr would depend on short/excess amount.
We have created Cost Element for this GL 12345678. If I post the MIRO without attaching a Cost Center to this Cost Element system thows an error to attach the Cost Center. I have separate Cost Center for Company Codes 1000 & 2000 however I can only put one Cost Center in this Cost Element.
Can anyone advice how can I post the above mentioned entry with different Cost Center. This line item (GL 12345678) is generated automatically and the Cost Center field is greyed out hence I don't have option to enter the Cost Center during MIRO. I checked the FSG of this GL, Cost Center field is 'Optional' over there.

Solution Option* -You can assign Differant Cost Centers to Company Code 1000 and Company Code 2000 in OKB9 Transaction Code.Follow the below process....
--- Go to OKB9
--- Select New Entries button
--- Give the Company Code 1000 in first row and 2000 in 2nd row
--- Enter the Cost element 12345678 for company code 1000 and 2000
--- Enter the relevent cost centers for company code 1000 and 2000
--- Select Save

In MIGO two seperate entry for the same Material in Accounting Document

Hi
Business is doing stock transfer transaction. Here with reference to stock transfer PO when business is doing Goods Issue.
here there is two stock transfer PO. in one PO there is two line items for the same material. in the second PO again same material with two line items.
but at the tme of Goods issue it is showing two seperate line for same material stock account credit in accounting document. but in the other Goods issue with reference to second PO it is showing only one line for inventory account credit in the accounting dcoument.
so pl. guide me on this.

Step 1 : First we create the Stock transfer PO.
Step 2 : Goods issue with ref to above stock transfer PO ( Movement type 351) - MIGO
Step 3 : Goods Receipt with ref to above stock transfer PO ( Movement Type 101 )- MIGO

Two different Resultsets for the same query (running at the same time)

I am using the Thin Driver for Oracle 8.1.6. I am invoking queries in multithreading mode (each thread has his own connection to the oracle DB). If i am invoking the same SQL-Statement in two different threads nearly at the same time, only the ResultSet of the first query is complete. The ResultSet of the second query is not complete (the number of tuples differs each time I run the program). Principally the two ResultSets should be the same (no changes are done at the same time in the DB), but they are not.
Anybody knows this problem and knows how to solve it? Principally read accesses on DBs should not make such trouble ...
I hope anybody can help me.

You need not to deactivate the existing implementation.

Two Inspection Plan for the same work centre

Hi Gurus,
I need your help,one of my client needs the following requriment.
1. He is having the two workcentre A and B
2. A has lesser tolarance and b has the higher tolarance
3.While confirmation the plan associated to the lesser or higher tolarance has to be automatically assign to the inspection lot.
I think in standard SAP, it canot be done

Hi Jai,
1. You can go with the solution given by Mr. Reddy, You can cretate two insepction plans with two different tolerances assign the same material to both, system will give a prompt before releasing the lot for RR.
2. You create singal insepction plan, assign the Both materail to it then, in the charecteristics overview screen, select the Charecteristics that is having differnt tolerence, and then you can use the Dependant charecteristic.

Extractor 0CO_PC_PCP_03: diferent costing runs for the same material

Hi, experts.
We are extracting data with 0CO_PC_PCP_03 extractor, but some materials do not return any record.
If we use CO standard transactions, we can get the values for all materials, but with the extractor just few materials are returned.
We are filtering the extractor with the costing run name and costing run date, but some materials are not extracted.
This is occurring for a specific month only. We have extracted data for other months / costing runs and the same materials appears in CO transaction and in extractor result. The different thing with this problematic month is that there are other costing runs of the same type (costing variant), for a higher date.
It seems like the extractor just can extract the last costing run for a material / month. Any idea?

I have an update in my findings. Few days ago, R/3 user ran a new costing run for a set of materials, using the same costing variant / costing version used one year ago. And now, when I extract the costing run created one year ago, materials present in recently run set don´t appear anymore. I ran this same costing run weeks ago and the material are ok. After the new costing run with the same costing variant / costing version, they are gone from extraction.
Seems like this extraction just can return the last costing variant / costing version for each material. Or maybe the table key that stores this data are costing variant / costing version, instead of costing run / costing run date.
Anybody have any knowledge or experience on this?

How to maintain two credit limits for the same customer.

We have two lines of business for the same company code. One customer is trading in two lines of business.
We want to maintain two credit limits for same customer. How is this possible.

Hi,
Credit Limits are assigned to customer master in a credit control area, so a customer can have different credit limits for the different credit control areas.
(Please note that Credit Control Areas are normally assigned to company codes or sales area.)
But if you are having only one credit control area, then only one credit limit can apply.
However you can use the user exits to put any check you want for the customer. There are various user exits available for it like LVKMPTZZ,LVKMPFZ1,LVKMPFZ2 and LVKMPFZ3 in transaction SMOD

Creating Two Different Designs for the same site

I already have a website (www.ernestbuckley) but would like to design an alternate site with the same name and from time to time, just switch between the two for variety. Can this be done? Will I lose any data when I switch back and forth?

Apnewbie's suggestion is right on track! You already have your domain name ( http://www.ernestbuckley.com ) that you forward to:
http://web.mac.com/ernestbuckley/iWeb/ernestbuckley/Welcome.html
If you made another parallel site with the different design and called it "ernest2", all you would have to do is to switch your forwarding to:
http://web.mac.com/ernestbuckley/iWeb/ernest2/
You can continue to edit both sites and when you want to switch sites, just change your forwarding again to the other address.
BTW, if you want to start another site, you might consider using a program called "iWebSites" to help you manage your sites in separate Domain files. That way you keep them completely separate from one another and maintain the ability to edit and publish them independently of one another. Here is the URL for more info...

Two user IDs for the same person in SAP

Hi Experts,
The user has somehow got the Approval from the management to get Two USer ID In SAP CRM. Now requested for Access.
As per the Best Practice, One user should have only one SAP USER ID.
Since the User is a Managaer in Sales, we have assigned the Sales Business role, If he wants a Sales pro business role that can also be assigned. He has requested for Two seperate user ID in SAP.
I want to restrict him, and let the business know what would be the implications and causes.
Can some one help with the Disadvantages of having 2 user id for same user. So that we can let Business know about the implications and consequences it will create.
Please help with your view !!!!

Disadvantage.
1. Secure login for linking of SAP ID between your windows network id and SAP ID.
2. If allowed for two user ids in CRM system then he needs the same in ECC system also.
3. Trouble shooting issue in future.
Please note that, its all depend on the users justification and the requirement of the business.

Is it possible to have two app icons for the same app?

I work with Assistive Technologies that enable people with various disabilites to use computing devices, such as the iPad. Some people do not have the fine motor skills to precisely tap the intended app icon. If I had a page full of app icons that launched the same app then I might have a workaround.

At the moment, no. The app store won't let you re-download an app already installed, and they all come in single icons.
The accessibility settings enable a zoom feature, but if your clients have difficulty tapping an app, they may have issues using three fingers simultaneously to zoom in/out.
There is a voice ability, but I've just spent the last 10 minutes playing with it and successfully called everyone in my phonebook (And i only wanted to open iBooks)
If you turn the iPad landscape you still have the same amount of apps on the page, just spaced out a little more, giving more margin for error/ But this still requires the same 'touch space area' to activate the app.
This might be something Apple could look at, with pressure from users such as yourself and your clients.

Is it possible to have two SCCM instances for the same domain

Hello - I'm the IT Project Manager for an organization that has a single domain-production.
In here, we have an instance of SCCM 2012 setup. This instance is used to build packages, images, testing, validations, modifications etc. as well as for production roll outs. The primary issues we have with this is there is no separation between test and
prod, also, there are several packages, task sequences etc causing confusion in determining which is a test package and which is prod.
Setting up a test domain does not seem to be a viable option for us, at least for now.
So, my question is, can we have another instance of SCCM in the same domain that we can restrict only for the sake of testing & validations and then use the original one to deploy the tested (gold) packets.
Just a thought!! Does it make sense? Any challenges that we could face?

Hi,
Yes you can no problem, you should avoid having Boundary / Boundary Groups used for Site Assignment that overlap and make sure that PXE request to the test/dev environment is restricted to one test subnet to avoid co-existance issues.

Two business ofices for the same plant:

Hi frndzz..
   I'm doing implementation for my new client.
His factory(plant) is located in a village & he got a head office in the city which looks after the sales & purchases for the plant and the head office. In the same way, the plant also purchase from local vendors.
They do have some common vendors.
They need Accounts reports / Purchase reports / salaries / creditors and vendors all required as per the above seperation i.e., plant & head office.
   Our suggestion was to use seperate ledgers in the chart of accounts so that we can reporting on both of them but they need one ledger but to maintain the data seperately based on the postings where they want to choose to post to head office or plant.
How can we do it. For ex: stationary expenses, I have one account but posts to it by choosing head office or plant while posting so that they can a report on it.

Is it possible in IOS to have two static routes for the same subnet, one a higher priority and "failover" between the 2?

Is it possible in IOS to have for a particular subnet:
a) Two static routes?
b) Make one static route a higher priority than the other?
c) If one static router "goes down", failover to the lower priority static route?
We have a l2tp/vpdn connection to a supplier which can be accessed via two vlans/routes. I would like to make one route the preferred one but the "route" to failover if the preferred route goes down.

If you notice the Administrative Distance for the secondary route pointing to ISP2 is increased to 10 so that it becomes the backup link.
The above configuration with just two floating static routes partially accomplishes our requirement as it will work only in the scenario where the routers interfaces connected to the WAN link are in up/down or down/down status. But in a lot of situations we see that even though the links remain up but we are not able to reach the gateway, this usually happens when the issue is at the ISP side.
In such scenarios, IP SLAs becomes an engineer's best friend. With around six additional IOS commands we can have a more reliable automatic failover environment.
Using IP SLA the Cisco IOS gets the ability to use Internet Control Message Protocol (ICMP) pings to identify when a WAN link goes down at the remote end and hence allows the initiation of a backup connection from an alternative port. The Reliable Static Routing Backup using Object Tracking feature can ensure reliable backup in the case of several catastrophic events, such as Internet circuit failure or peer device failure.
IP SLA is configured to ping a target, such as a publicly routable IP address or a target inside the corporate network or your next-hop IP on the ISP's router. The pings are routed from the primary interface only. Following a sample configuration of IP SLA to generate icmp ping targeted at the ISP1s next-hop IP.
R1(config)# ip sla 1
R1(config)# icmp-echo 2.2.2.2 source-interface FastEthernet0/0
R1(config)# timeout 1000
R1(config)# threshold 2
R1(config)# frequency 3
R1(config)# ip sla schedule 1 life forever start-time now
The above configuration defines and starts an IP SLA probe.
The ICMP Echo probe sends an ICMP Echo packet to next-hop IP 2.2.2.2 every 3 seconds, as defined by the “frequency” parameter.
Timeout sets the amount of time (in milliseconds) for which the Cisco IOS IP SLAs operation waits for a response from its request packet.
Threshold sets the rising threshold that generates a reaction event and stores history information for the Cisco IOS IP SLAs operation.
After defining the IP SLA operation our next step is to define an object that tracks the SLA probe. This can be accomplished by using the IOS Track Object as shown below:
R1(config)# track 1 ip sla 1 reachability
The above command will track the state of the IP SLA operation. If there are no ping responses from the next-hop IP the track will go down and it will come up when the ip sla operation starts receiving ping response.
To verify the track status use the use the “show track” command as shown below:
R1# show track

Latest operation return code: Unknown
The above output shows that the track status is down. Every IP SLAs operation maintains an operation return-code value. This return code is interpreted by the tracking process. The return code may return OK, OverThreshold, and several other return codes.
Different operations may have different return-code values, so only values common to all operation types are used. The below table shows the track states as per the IP SLA return code.

The Last step in the IP SLA Reliable Static Route configuration is to add the “track” statement to the default routes pointing to the ISP routers as shown below:

The track number keyword and argument combination specifies that the static route will be installed only if the state of the configured track object is up. Hence if the track status is down the secondary route will be used to forward all the traffic.

Mixed Costing on two different Costing Variants at the same time.

Dear All,
I have already configured mixed costing on my Costing variant PPC1, now i need to configure the same on another costing variant ZPSM, i have done all the setting for Costing type, Valuation variant and costing versions for mixed costing for the later costing variant, and maintained the mixing ratios for the product, but the system is not taking into account the mixed costing for the later variant.
Can anybody help me out on this? or is it not possible to do mixed costing for two costing variants at the same time?
