Two CPUs run at different temps after service?

I just got my dual 2.3GHz G5 back form the Apple Store -- I brought it in because one of the memory simms seemed to have gone bad. When I got it back they had replaced the memory. And the logic board. And one of the CPUs. Hmmm. Nothing but the simm was showing errors when I took it in.
Anyway, the first thing I noticed when I turned it on was that unlike before, the fans run audibly all the time now, even if I have an external fan blowing on the case. So I ran Temperature Monitor and saw that one CPU was consistently running 15-20degF above the other -- I've never seen a split of more than 5-7 degF in this machine before. Also, previously at idle and with a fan blowing on the machine, the processors would drop to about 99degF, but now only one of them will, the other stays in the 115-120degF range. So it seems like one of the processors is running hot now. (Strangely Hardware Monitor shows the CPU fans as running at the same speed even though the CPU temps are that different.)
Has anyone seen this before, if so do you have any idea why and/or did it lead to any problems, and did Apple resolve it for you? I'll probably go back to the Apple Store tomorrow anyway because they forgot to reset the serial number on the new logic board. But I haven't been able to find much on processors suddenly running at very different temperatures, so I'm wondering what to expect.

I'll mark this as closed now, and explain why the Apple Geniuses (or at least one of them along with his store manager) are gods.
After taking another look at my poor machine the attending Genius called me and told me his store manager had agreed to just replace it with the equivalent current model (one of the dual core ones instead of my one generation older dual CPU one). Maybe this was because they spent a week replacing parts and it still wasn't a happy machine and they didn't ever want to see it again. Maybe it was because I was really laid back and nice about how long it was taking (to be honest it couldn't have picked a better time to die, I don't have time to use it right now, so I wasn't very upset about losing it for a few weeks). I don't know. But the thing that made me really happy was when I asked if I could upgrade to a quad for the difference in price, they said yes. Who would think your computer dying could make you happy? Many, many thanks to the folks at the Apple Store.

Two Clips Run at Different Speeds

As mentioned in other posts, I am editing an interview that utilizes two HD Cameras: HD Panasonic and a Flip Camera Ultra HD. When played side-by-side, the Flip Camera footage runs in-sync with the Panasonic footage at the beginning of footage, but will begin to lag approximately one second behind the Panasonic footage at the end of the footage (noticeable halfway through). The footage is approximately 25 minutes long; I converted the MPEG Flip Camera file to Apple Pro Res 422 for editing in FCP.
What is causing this eventual lag and is there a method to fix this using Final Cut Pro/Studio?

I don't know what you mean by this statement but I uploaded the Panasonic Camcorder footage to the Mac via "Log & Capture".
The Flip Video I uploaded to my iMac and then converted the .MP4 file to Apple Pro Res 422 via MPEG Streamclip.

Help!! Two Apps running 2 different versions of Java 1.3 &1.4

I work in the IT dept for a IBM service provider. Recently IBM has changed their web quoting tools. The main config tool runs on Java 1.3.1_08 and their new maintenance quoting tool runs on 1.4.1_2.
I have both versions of java installed and neither program will work. When I try to launch the maintenance tool that runs 1.4.1_2. The web start screen appears and then disappears and my processor performance maxes out at 100%. I have to control alt delete and then end task. When trying to run the main quoting tool , the Java applet never starts. I have tried to get technical support from IBM but they keep pushing it back to me stating that it is Java, or the machine, and they do not support that. The machine has been freshly imaged with Windows XP Professional, the system is a p3, 1.2GhZ with 512MB ram. Is there a way to make these programs work in the same environment? Thanks.

Should I run a Full Crawl after running psconfig after updating Sp2013 with a Service Pack or Cumulative Update

Should I run a full crawl after I have performed a Service Pack Update or Cumulative Update and run psconfig wizard?
The best practise coming out of Microsoft says you should only run a full crawl after a configuration change.
You should then run a continuous crawl thereafter.
The question then becomes is a Service Pack Update / Cumulative Update followed by psconfig wizard (or the PowerShell equivalent) considered to be a configuration change.
We were recently advised by Microsoft to install the July 2014 CU (and then run psconfig).
After that the continuous search did not pick up newly created files until a full crawl was run.
So should I run a full crawl after I have installed a Service Pack or Cumulative Update and run psconfig ?

The situations when you need to do full crawl is listed here,
A Search service application has just been created and the preconfigured content source
Local SharePoint sites have not been crawled yet.
Some other content source is new and has not been crawled yet.
A software update or service pack was installed on servers in the farm. See the instructions for the software update or service pack for more information.
A Search service application administrator, site collection administrator or tenant administrator added a new managed property or changed an existing managed property. A full crawl is required for the new or changed managed property to take effect.
You want to detect security changes that were made to local groups on a file share after the last full crawl of the file share.
You want to resolve consecutive incremental crawl failures. If an incremental crawl fails a large number of consecutive times at any level in a repository, the system removes the affected content from the search index.
Crawl rules have been added, deleted, or modified.
You want to repair a corrupted search index.
The credentials for the user account that is assigned to the default content access account have changed. A full crawl is required only if the permissions of this user account have changed.
My opinion is, it is always better to do a full crawl after a successful installation of service packs or product upgrades.

It is now running Yosemite 10.10.1. I seem to have plenty of memory but the machine still runs slower than before installing Yosemite. Excel has a very noticeable lag when opening and loading files.

Thanks for the reply. I ran through the various steps as suggested including resetting the SMC.
I would say that there was about a 10% improvement. Although one of the icons still bounced for the count of 40

All the various problems seem to have started with the upgrade to Yosemite.

Two new MIFIs, radically different speeds

I have two Verizon Jetpack MIFIs, both about two months old and both running on 3G through a Wilson booster in my home. Each MIFI is on a separate contract with Verizon. The speed test for one MIFI is 2.62Mbps up, .87Mbps down. The other is .12 up, and .18 down when I can get the full test to run because of its slowness. The test software says that the faster MIFI is using a Towerstream server in Seattle, the other MIFI is connecting through a Wichita server by KS Fibernet. I live near Spokane, Washington, which is about 200 miles from Seattle and a LONG way from Wichita.
Question: why would one MIFI be providing adequate speeds, while the other is essentially useless?

AFter some telephone conversation and behind-the scenes troubleshooting
with Verizon experts, Verizon sent me a replacement MIFI and sim
card. After swapping parts around between my MIFI and the
replacement unit, it because obvious that the replacement sim card was
dead on arrival, and installing my sim card in the replacement MIFI didn't
make any difference in the performance of the MIFI.
I'll
be returning the replacement MIFI and sim card to Verizon. On to
plan C.

Firefox Flash plugin crashes when FF launched with "Run as different user"

I often start Firefox in Windows 7 (x64) using the "Run as different user" mechanism. After upgrading my Flash plugin to v11 (11.8.800.94), the browser will hang for several minutes when visiting any page that contains Flash content. When Firefox becomes responsive again, scrolling a page with Flash content will cause the app to hang again. Disabling the Flash plugin eliminates the problem.
It seems the plugin is silently crashing -- I'm not alerted to a plugin crash in any way (no dialog or yellow "Flash player crashed" notice at the top of the window), but after FF hangs I will see a new crash report entry in the FF about:crashes list. The plugin does not crash when Firefox is running under the same account that is logged onto Windows interactively -- only when running FF as a different user. For example, if I log onto Windows with user account Adam and launch FF normally, the problem does not exist. If I close FF and launch it as user Bob (shift+right-click Firefox Shortcut, choose "Run as different user"), the problem will appear. However, if I log into Windows as user Bob and launch FF normally, the problem does not exist.
I have tried the following as troubleshooting steps, all to no effect:
Create new Windows user accounts to rule out potential Windows or Firefox profile issues.
Use another PC (also Windows 7 x64). The same behavior occurs on both PCs
Disable AVG antivirus.
Upgrade Firefox to latest version (23.0.1).
Disable Flash hardware acceleration.
Give both user accounts full local admin privileges.
Can anyone suggest something to try next?
Update: Per the troubleshooting instructions at < http://forums.adobe.com/thread/1018071?tstart=0 >, I was able to eliminate the problem by adding the line
ProtectedMode=0
to my C:\Windows\SysWOW64\Macromed\Flash\mms.cfg file to disable Flash Player Protected Mode. There are instructions on that page for submitting a Protected Mode-related bug, and I will follow through with that.

Maybe you did't understand my previous statement. There are no crashes in FF 3.6, There is no previous evidence FF 14 was ever here, I completely uninstalled all trace of Firefox, no app data, no preferences, no cache. I will upgrade to FF14 so I can send IDs,

Can I run 2 different domains with same name but on 2 different machines?

I am trying to setup 2 domains with same name (sharedcds1) on 2 different machines (Machine1 and Machine2).
          When I start the weblogic managed server 1 (sharedcds1managedserver1) on Machine2, it throws an error saying it has some conflicts with the managed server 1 running on Machine1. How did the managed server of one machine know about the other server. Can I run 2 different domains with same name but on 2 different machines?

Yes you can. Make sure that domains configured to use different multicast address. WLS uses multicast for communications between nodes in domain.
          although your configuration will work, you could have troubles if you going to execute inter-domain calls between domains/servers with the same names.

and, based on my own experience, is the WORST way of achieving high availability of an LDAP Directory Service and an almost GRANTED way to get replication issues in your topology (lock, split, re-init, etc...).
Please use instead the 'application-level' clustering that you get out of the box with the Multi-Master Replication.

MS SQL database needs to run mdx query to analysis services to retrieve data from a BPC 10 Netweaver cube(view only)

We are in the process of migrating from BPC7 SP12 Microsoft sql server to BPC10 netweaver on a sql server with BW7.4 and need to integrate our home grown data warehouse which is on a Microsoft sql server. The data warehouse currently connects to BPC7 using integration services/analysis services and runs mdx queries to analysis services to retrieve data from the BPC7 cube (view only). Please provide documentation on how to create this same integration with our data warehouse using BPC10 netweaver on a sql server.

didn't understand at first glance.Yes I clicked on the options button, but the only thing there is dealing with file extensions. I left it set to the default.
I have since tried closing my connection after I insert a record, I then try executeQuery, but still no luck. Seems strange that I can write to the file but not read from it. If any thing I'd expect the opposite problem.
I have also tried using the class "JoltReport" from the sun tutorial instead of my own with the same result.

How to Setup a JSP to Run on Different Physical Location than OC4J Defaul

I am trying to setup a development environment for jsp application development in Oracle 9ias Release 2 for a development group. I followed the steps outlined in NOTe:167960.1 using both EM Website (creating a OC4J and editing server.xml and defau*.xml files) and DCMCTL (Doc ID: 185635.1) utility. OC4J app is coming up only partially which does not work.
Is this possible to "Setup a JSP to Run on Different Physical Location than OC4J Default Home" in Oracle 9ias Release 2 ?

I was finally able to get it up and running... I commented out all the apple specific lines in smb.conf until I was able to successfully finish the driver copy process via the Windows driver wizard. The line in the /etc/smb.conf which was causing this weird problem was:
vfs objects = notify_kqueue,darwinacl,darwin_streams
I have no idea what this line is about. However after commenting it out the driver installation immediately started to work. I cross checked it by adding the line again and viola the problem was back - so it can be broken down to this line...
As I've found some other comments to this line in the internet I guess I will go for the smb.conf changes described in this article:

You can!t using af:query. the af:query component comes as is. If you can't do it through the properties, you probably can't do it at all.
As in your other thread, the way to go is to program your own search form. This way you can use a layout and functionality you like.
For this you create a form with input fields for the values you are searching for, put them on hte page in a way you like and in the end by hitting on a button (e.g. called Search) map all inputfields to parameters of a service method you defined in your application module or VO. This service method then executes a view criteria returning all matches in the default iterator (just as if you had used af:query.

What is the difference you see in the explain plan ? Where it spends most time. All these needs to be analysed.
