Two desktop computers - one constantly looses wireless connection
Hi,
I have a Linksys Wireless-G Broadband Router with Speedbooster (model WRT54GS) for use with a cable modem. I have two Dell Desktops, both with Linksys Wireless-G PCI with SpeedBooster Cards. One desktop works perfect with the network, the other constantly loses its connection. Signal strength on both are good, both computers are relatively new (the one with problems is ~ 1 yr old). I either have to 'repair' the connection or reboot. It will stay connected for various lengths of time (sometimes a minute, sometimes 10 minutes!). If i click on the 'Wireless Network Connection' icon, it will often show 'Connected' to my network, but the button in the corner shows 'Connect' (shouldn't it say 'Disconnect?).
Any help is appreciated!

Surely, the router is working since one wireless pc is working already. You could focus more on the adapter. Since it has been a year already, you could try to update the driver of your nonworking adapter.

Constantly loosing 3G connection
I constantly loose 3G connection for edge in my Iphone 5S, especially in my office, at one of the commercial centers of my city (oil & gas). When I contacted my carrier (TIGO), they told me that 3G signal (is not strong enough or) has interference from other devices and that all Iphones grab the strongest signal around and cannot be set to use 3G only (Android phones do).
Don´t know how important Third World´s Iphone market is for Apple, but our 3G networks are not mature yet (no LTE at all). So please add this feature in a future IOS update. All Third World´s Iphone users will be very thankful.Losing signal inside an office building is not unique to iPhone. Most phones have reduced if any signal in metal buildings, underground etc.

I have two iMAC computers, one at home in Sydney Australia and one in Korat Thailand.
I want to software updates through my Sydney AppleID.
When an attempt was made to update OSX the server rejected the attempt in ThailandSure - as long as you use the same apple ID on both devices you can download it to both devices. Why is is greyed out on her iPad is not clear to me - other than the app is actually on her iPad via Automatic Downloads and she doesn't realize that its on the device. Is that possible?
Search for the app on her iPad- swipe to the right from the first home screen and type in the name of the App at the top in the search field. Does it show up? -
[SOLVED] Loosing Wireless Connection
I am constantly loosing my wireless connection while I am trying to download something, usually I don't reach 60 MB and it's gone.
I am also loosing my connection while browsing the internet for 2-3 hours.
In both cases it reconnects after 2 minutes ,sometimes more.
I still have my IP address during these 2 minutes.
I tried different connection methods : wifi-menu, netctl, NetworkManager , manually with wpa_supplicant and dhcpcd(or dhclient) but they all lead to loosing my connection after a time.

Officejet 6700 looses wireless connection to MAC
My 6700 keeps loosing it connection with my mac which is running 10.10.4 and the fault seems to have occurred at the time this ios update installed. I have had the mac just over a year and its all worked fine until the 10.10.4 update. I have tried re-booting the airport extreme, the mac, deleting the printer and re-installing none of which resolves the problem fully. If I re-boot the printer it will be found and I can print, but if the next job is more than 10 mins later the mac looses the printer again and will not find it. The same fault also seem present with my ipad retine display model running ios 8.4, again this has been working well for nearly two years. HELP please

OJ 8600 Constantly loses wireless connection
My OfficeJet Pro8600 Plus works great, except when it loses wireless connection. I have an ATT wireless router/modem. Frequently, when the printer goes to sleep, it will not print. The wireless icon on the printer shows good, and says connected. But then I get the message on my computer that the printer is not connected. I cancel the print, restart the printer and then it will work. I also frequently get the message that scanning is also not connected.
Once I reboot the printer, it works fine. Any ideas?brown7373,
If you have not done so for a while, I might suggest that you install (reinstall) the Full Feature Software for your printer. In August of this year (2014) there was an Update to the software that may well help with the situation you are facing.
Less clear, due to the usual less than full descriptive qualities of the documentation supplied with these things (in my opinion), is the need for the accompanying firmware Update that is shown for at least those users running the Windows 8.1 Operating System. Firmware updates, might be installed after software updates are tried -- and only at the user / owner's discretion.
General Instructions to Install the Printer Software
Reminder:
In most cases, the Solution Center has been replaced by the Printer Assistant.
The Printer Assistant shortcut will be installed on your Desktop during the last part of the installation.
Windows Operating System:
Create Restore Point: Create a Restore Point – Win7 OR Create a restore point Win8
Open HP Drivers & Downloads
Enter your Printer Model information
Select your Printer from the “Results” list
OR
Open HP Officejet Pro 8600 Plus e-All-in-One Printer - N911g Drivers
Enter your Operating System in the Drop-down menu
Click NEXT and Scroll down
Look for category Driver - Product Installation Software
Select the Basic Driver, e-print, or Full Feature Software
Save the *.exe installation package(s) on your computer
The file(s) will likely save to the "Downloads “folder.
Be sure to look for Updates as needed for your installation. If available, you may download the Print and Scan Doctor and / or other programs from Category – Utilities.
If you have ‘Admin’ control, you may highlight the package and “double-click” to install it, else Right-Click, Select run as Administrator and install.
NOTES:
Look at the bottom half of the main webpage for your printer for helpful videos to assist with the installation of the printer software!
Scroll the video list back and forth until you find the video that most closely matches your situation.
If using a USB connection: Download and install the driver software before connecting a USB cable.
Ethernet: Connect the printer to the network and (Optional) assign the printer an IP address at the router. Once the printer is connected to the network, be sure the printer is switched on and then install the printer software.
After the initial installation is complete and working, check / install Category - Update

What If: Bummer - Nothing works. Sad Story and all that.
If all else fails, you can call HP and politely ask for the printer code to switch off the sleep timeout on your printer model. This works when everything else fails. It is not a solution; this is a workaround and maybe not a pretty one -- there may be consequences down the road. Switching off the sleep timer will keep the printer awake and available.

Loose wireless connection with security turned on
I am able to get a wireless connection when the wireless network has no security enabled. But when the security is turned on - using WEP or WPA (TKIP) - I can no longer get a connection. The error message says that the password is not correct (however it is).
Of note: I have another G4 (aluminum 1.33 GHz) running the same version of OS X that does not have a problem connecting with the security turned on.
I have the same problem at home or with other wireless networks that require passwords.
At home I have a linksys wireless router.

1 GHz PowerPC G4 Mac OS X (10.4.8)i have a very similar situation to yours... my airport cannont get an IP address from any wireless network with security enabled. if it is completely open, it will lock in and get an IP address and everything is fine, but with ANY kind of security enabled, it wont get an IP and gives me the standard "169...." addresses. If i turn off security on a given base station, the machine will suddenly get an IP address, so I know this is a problem with the machine and not the router as other wifi devices connect to the router fine.
I've tried using standard WEP, WPA, and also MAC-address security and i get the same problem across all of them. Ive tried this with about 5 different routers, 3 linksys, 1 netgear and one dLink. -
I connect my Ipad to my desktop and it drops my wireless connection
Every time i connect my i pad to my desktop to update or sync the computer loses the wireless connection and i have to restart. Once in a while on restart if i leave the I pad connected it will let me work on the ipad and sync but most times it just loads up with no internet and doesn't find the ipad at all
Please helpMany times restoring using recovery mode will work if the device isn't being recognized in iTunes, but if you cannot get the iPad to be seen by iTunes using that method, try this first and then try to restore again.

Hi,
the printer goes offline from the local wlan after working ok 12 to 24 hrs.
symptoms:
* wireless LED on the printer blinking after waking the printer with the ok button
* wireless status page: not connected
* wireless status page: no wireless lans are found (minimum four others are active)
* wireless status page: always 69-71 disconnects (link quality is good, distance from router 5m)
* wireless lan switched off-on from printer panel: wireless led stays off, no blinking
my tests:
* no difference with/without power save mode
* no difference using router from TP-Link or Arcadyan
* no difference using no/standard/long group key interval on the router
* no difference using only ip4/all services on the printer
* no difference enabling/disabling ip6 on the printer
* no difference printing/not printing during 24 hrs
* no difference using channel 1/7 on the wlan (no other networks on these channels)

printer off - on, everthing back to normal, but I am not happy with that

When I'm on the internet using the airport, I loose my connection all the time. The I don't loose the internet, it just like freezes and eventually it will come back and the action I have tried to get it to do, like go to another page or link etc. it will have done. I can still use the computer itself just not the internet. Crazy huh?
I have checked in troubleshooting and gone through the manual. I'm not finding an answer. I've checked with my Internet Service Provider, it's not them. Everyone else in my household is staying connected just fine. Is my airport card just going out and I'm out of luck until I replace it? I'm hoping maybe there is an upgrade or something that might help. If you have a suggestion please let me know.

I am a bit confused, according to http://www.adobe.com/be_en/products/acrobatstandard/faq.html one license on 2 PCs are OK.
But according to http://helpx.adobe.com/x-productkb/policy-pricing/end-user-license-agreements-faq.html and several threads I got via google one license on 2 PCs are limited.
What is right now? I need it for 2 desktop PCs in one company, and they do have to work at the same time of course.

C4580 All-In-One suddenly lost wireless connection and I can't get it back.
I have a replacement C4580 after HP replaced the old one because of their dmaned regionalisation of printers.
It has been working fine through my wireless router, and I have been able to use it wirelessly on 2 different laptops, one running XP and the other running Win 7. both have the printer showing as USB and wirless, normally being used wirelessly. THhe USB is there 'just in case' like now apparently.
It seems that my wireless printer has disappeared from my Printers and Faxes in the XP machine, so I try to add it again. Can't detect any printers, so when it asks to be connected via USB it appears to be going through the setup, then I get Error #201 VSA.
Googled for an answer but haven't found anything useful. Seen a couple which suggest that the router is hiding the SSID (it's not) or that MAC filtering is being used. Again, it's not.
I went to the Win7 machine, and it shows the wireless and USB printers (2 versions of the same thing) but when I attempt to print a test page tot the wireless version, it says that it has been sent, and I can see it in the printer queue, but after a while I get Error-Printing which in typical HP software is as usual bloody useless as it doesn't tell you why it failed, or where to even start looking to correct whatever error there was.
I have altered nothing on any of the computers (knowingly, anyway) and both laptops communicate quite happily with the outside world through the wirless router.
I really am getting rather pi**ed off with HP and their latest software. I had a PSC 1210 prior to this and no problems with it at all. The hardware seems fine but the latest software leaves a lot to be desired.
Any ideas anyone, on what has happened here, and how it can be fixed - or do I just cut my losses and buy another printer, this time anything but HP - unless they're all doing the same sort of stuff.
I have tried turning the wireless function off and then on on the printer, but also no difference.
Additional info. As suggested in another post somewhere, I have done both a Network Configuration and a Wireless Network Test printout. The test report shows PASS against both Wireless On and Wireless Working, and FAIL against Network Name (SSID) Found, but then shows the Network Name (SSID) correctly under Configuration Summary!
The configuration page shows Netwok Status as offline, and under 802.11 Wireless it gives a MAc address then Status as Disabled.
I don't really know what it is trying to tell me?
Oh, accidentally I printed 2 Configuration pages. On one it says that the 802.11 Status is Disabled and on the other it says that it is Disconnected. Unfortunately, I don't know which one was done first. The Disconnected one may have been done when I turned the wireless off. Nope, I just did again with Wireless turned on (at least the light is showing) and it still showing as Disconnected.Hi there KR,
Sorry to hear the reset is not working for you on your PS C4580. The steps for the reset are all correct and should have worked if the printer is in good functioning order.
I would suggest calling in to HP directly to see what your options are with them.

My MacBook Pro looses connection after 15-30minutes unless within 2-3ft. of my AirPort Express. My G-4 stays connected just fine. My son's less than one year old MacBook stays connected. My old, old HP (7+ years) stays connected. I have Comcast but I'm not sure of the "product". My network is high speed cable with an Ambit modem and AirPort Express. My MacBook Pro does hold a signal unless it is within 2-3 of the AirPort and this is true in other locations such as my work (not sure of the router since it's a public school building) and my friend's house (Belkin router). Here is a list of things I have done so far to try to remedy the situation:
Per Apple Store Genius:
removed all wireless devices (phones, etc.) still no solution
checked for hardware issues
Per Apple Support:
changed channels
run utility and repair disks
uninstalled the operating system (wiped the hard drive clean) and reinstalled OS 10.5.6
Tried myself:
turned on Interference Robustness
All of this has has little impact/effect on holding the connection. Apple Support can no longer help. Apple Genius says they have done all they can or will do telling me it's interference. I bought my machine in 2006 and did not have this issue until Wed. 4/8/09. I am wondering why interference just on the newest Mac and why suddenly. Most importantly, how to solve?

Second, can you try a different Internet connection in a different location? If it works there, the problem is not with your MacBook Pro.

I have two Apple computer, a Mac Pro and a Mac Mini.. When I attemped to sign in on Apple on one of the computer (Mac Pro) that I made the password on, will work OK but if I got to the other computer (Mac Mini) and sign in, it will tell me I am using the wrong password, so if I go and make a different password for the Mac Mini computer with the same email for both computer, it will work for the Mac Mini computer but not the Pro..
I have even made another email account for the Mini and tried that but it will still go back to the original.. What can I do or need to do to correct this??
