Two different sets of sliders in the Basic section of Develop

When different set of pictures are developed I see 2 different sets of sliders in the Tone section of the Basic panel.  When editing pictures from last year and before, I see 6 sliders: Exposure; Recovery; Fill Light; Blacks; Brightness and Contrast.  These shots were all taken with a Nikon D60, Nikon lenses and saved in RAW (Nikon's NEF) and JPEG.  With pictures taken recently, I only see 2 sliders: Exposure and Contrast. One difference is that the pictures were only saved in RAW (NEF). Both sets of pictures were taken with the same camera and lenses using the same Lightroom workflow to import.  Both sets of pictures were imported into Lightroom using Lightroom' Import but not converted to DNGs. Some of the older pictures were imported using Lightroom 4 and then upgraded to Lightroom 5.  Current version of Lightroom is 5.3 with Windows 7.

The slider set Exposure; Recovery; Fill Light; Blacks; Brightness and Contrast was the UI for Processing Version (PV) 2003 used in LR1 and LR2 and for PV 2010 in LR3. LR4 and LR5 use PV 2012 whose UI in Basic is Exposure, Contrast, Highlights, Shadows, Whites and Blacks. The PV can be changed in the Calibration panel. The way tonality is managed in PV 2012 is quite different from the earlier versions.
