Two diffetent chart types in one chart

Hi
Can anyone tell me how i put a line and bars in one single chart?
Regards.
Oliver

I don't think you can do it directly, but you can always set one on top of another, make the tops ones background invisible (No fill). make sure you select the object it self, not the individual chart objects only, and make its background (might be its "fill" property in the inspector) none. ( i am at a Windoze machine at work right now).
don't forget to make the charts background's also none.
just one idea. I just don't think there is multiple chart types in one chart yet. I might be wrong. Anyone at a mac that can verify for me?
Thanks alot everyone,
Jason

  • Different chart types in one chart

    Hi guys,
I need to know if there is any wat to mix two different chart types in WAD.
For instance, I have to key figures and I want to draw in the same chart Lines for one KF while I want Bars for the other KF.
    Is this possible ?
    Regards,

This is done using the Secodary Axis. Check the following link.

  • Combining two different Chart types into one graph

    Hi All,
I am developing a graphical BW report using WAD. I need to place two differnt chart types into one graph. For example, I have Volume and Quantity .Here the volume should be displayed in Bars and Quantity should be displayed in Lines in the same graph. X axis(Country) is same for these two . I am not sure how to achieve this. Please do let me know if anyone has solution for this.
    Thanks for your time.

    Hi Andreas,
One word I can say is 'Perfect' . Even though I am out of office now,I hope the example perfectly will solve my problem.I will try it.
Thanks for Aduri and Pcrao also for their suggestions .
Thanks again and I assigned points to all to say my thanks

  • Two different condition types in one report

    Hello,
i have a problem with the conditional display of a report.
I want to use two different condition types for one report.
For example I want to show the report only when the page is not in printer friendly mode and when the value of an item is NULL.
    Is that possible?
Has anyone a solution for this problem?
    Thank you,
    Tim

    Tim,
    you can use
    IF V('PRINTER_FRIENDLY') = 'YES' AND :P1_ITEM IS NOT NULL THEN RETURN FALSE;
    ELSE RETURN TRUE;
    END IF;
in the Conditional Display picking PL/SQL Function Body returning a Boolean.

  • One Conversion Type and two Exchange Rate Types in one report

I have Conversion Type called TEST. In this Conversion Type there is Exchange Rate Type D selected (D-daily). I have also Fixed Target Currency selected. And the report works perfectly fine....BUT.......there is also Exchange Rate Type M defined in the system (and it used for the exchange rate used last day of the month).
The question is: how to put both Exchange Rate Types into one Conversion Type so both types are used in the reports?

    Hi,
You can go for a variable exchange rate type.
    Creating variable:
For this you have create a varible which can take diffrent exchange rate types.
Open query designer create a new dummy query in that search for infoprovider 0RTYPE.
It will have one dimension(name ->key) with 0RTYPE in it.
    create a variable for 0RTYPE.
    Save and close the query.
goto RSCUR -> give your translation type -> go to exchange rate tab -> choose Ex. Rate from var option -> give the variable you have created prviously for 0RTPYE.
Rest all same but just for completion...
Go to your query in which in u want to do cur conversion.
Double click on the key fig
Go to conversions tab-> select the conversion type u created in RSCUR.
When you run the query you can select the exchange rate type in the variable screen.

  • How to show two queries/ aggregation levels in one Chart in Web Template

    Hi Experts,
I have a question regarding showing a graph in a Web Application template.
The graph has two elements on it.  The key figure is average number of working days, but the requirement is to compare number of working days for a granular data level (time spent in each process stage per month) to the average across all process stages across the entire month.
So essentially what we have is a chart with one constant horizontal line across it, which is the overall average, across all process stages, for the whole month, and then underneath this horizontal line, a series of columns showing the average for each process stage, broken down.
I am having trouble getting the base query right for this requirement.  It feels like for each process stage, I need two key figures (for the two data series); one average per stage, and the other should be the overall average, populated once for each stage.
I couldn't make this work using cells or replacement path, and I assume that you can only use one data provider per chart in the WAD.
Can anyone help me?  Please let me know if you need more info.  It's a shame I can't post a picture of the required graph in this post.
    Thanks
    Mischa

    Hi Mischa,
If I am reading your description correctly you should be able to model your two Key Figures in the query by having the two Key Figures exactly the same, exept give one an exception aggregation to average with reference to characteristic 0CALMONTH.
So you have your business process and calendar month in your rows, and the two Key Figures in the columns one with standard aggregation and one with exception aggregation on month. This should give you the KF amount per process wthin each month as well as the average KF amount over the month.
    Hope this helps,
    Nick

  • Two sets of Data within one Chart

    Hi All,
I am creating a report that is strictly all charts.  It's coming along well, but I've hit a roadblock.
I have a database of 1200 clients, each divided into 40 sales branches.  Each report has graphs that shows the sales performance of each sales branch, and in a few charts, I like to compare certain branch performance data to the overall performance for all 40 branches.  I'm currently using parameters and "F5" so each report is only of the selected sales branch.
For example:  Bar chart #1 has a breakdown of of our client profile based on gender, for Branch #25.  So I have a chart with two bars, Males=75%, Females=25%.  Great.  Now I want to insert values that applies to all 40 branches to the same chart, to see how Branch #25 compares to the overall client gender profile for all 40 branches.  Ideally, I like to see two bars for males, one for Branch #25, and one for Overall, and likewise, two bars for females.
    How do I do that?
    Thank you very much!!
    Frank

Thanks Brian!  You are correct, that is a disappointment...
Does anyone know of a workaround?  For example, by creating a subreport of the overall, and importing certain numbers into the main report, and using that to chart the values??
In the example I've set up, let's say I created another report that summarizes the client profile based on gender for all 40 branches so I have the percentages, then import those percentages into the main report.  I know you can import summations from another subreport(stored variables), and using those stored variables for calculations in the main report.  Can we do the same for charting?
    Anyone?
    Thank You!!
    Frank

  • Multiple signal types in one chart

    Hi there!
I need some help to understand if it is possible to do what I intend to do using SignalExpress LE.
The task is actually quite simple. I need to start a measurement of 2 analog, 2 digital and 1 frequency channels. The sampling speed is moderate, 5kHz. During logging I wish to be able to see the signals "live" and afterwards I want to compare signals and measure time between signal events in the graph.
I tried with a simulated device (since I have not yet one), the USB-6211. This failed due to the model only being able to poll the frequency channel (I think so since I was not able to select continuous samples). Therefore I tested by simulating with USB-6341 and made this setup:
    Now I have some questions:
Are the steps (on the left) performed in sequence or in parallel?
Can I plot all signals in one graph so I can correlate them and zoom and measure all together?
I wanted to log the signals but I couldn’t include the frequency channel (see the little dialog box). Shouldn’t that be possible?
I’m also confused by the fact that the frequency plot has Volts on y-axis and not Hz.
Do I really need HW timing on digital I/O to perform this “simple” task? Which means a more expensive HW…
    Many thanks for any input!

    Nicke

I've figured it out. Like everything to do with Illustrator's horrible ancient neglected graph tool, it's absurdly clumsy and involves tiptoeing around what is shamefully bad programming for an expensive professional product.
It's all about timing - you have to do things in one rigid counter-intuitive order that appears to not be working then comes together at the end:
Create the graph but, for now, keep it all the same graph type. If you've already set it to have different graph types, set them to be the same for now.
Select the whole graph, and in Graph Types main window, set Value Axis to 'Both sides'
In the drop-down there should be a Left and Right Axis (or top and bottom...). Set Value Axis settings for these now. It'll look like it only works for one axis, because the other axis won't change - bare with it...
Select the data series you want to use the other axis using Group Selection. Go to Graph Type and set the Value Axis to the other one, and set the graph type to the one you want. It should suddenly all fall into place.
If you need to edit one of the Value Axis settings, select the whole graph, set the whole graph to one graph type, edit the appropriate value axis by choosing it from the drop down, and the re-apply the graph types as above.
(the bug is - you shouldn't need to set the graph object to have only one graph type in order to access the value axis options for the two seperate value axis)

  • Chart type for Flash Chart

    Hello everybody,
I'm trying to evaluate whether it's possible to use APEX for an application that I'm going to develop.
Therein I want to use several charts for displaying database content.
One of the charts I need is a combination of stacked charts with lines, but I can't find this type of chart in the "native" APEX-chart-collection. Is there anything available I missed at first sight?
    Thanks in advance

    Michael,
That is a limitation of APEX default charts which cannot combine types. However, the post by Dimitri Gielis might on [Anychart 5 integration kit for APEX|http://dgielis.blogspot.com/2008/11/anychart-5-integration-kit-for-apex.html] might be what you're looking for. This commercial version of AnyChart can do a lot of things including the combination of types you're looking for. BTW, the free flash chart in APEX is based on an older version of AnyChart.

  • How can I make more than 1 chart arrays in one chart?

    hello everybody,
I'm a student from the htl mödling. this year I'll have my diploma and I have to simulate a protection for a high voltage wire. I have to create three zones in a chart, than I must measure voltage and current of the three hot wires to calculate each impedance. is this impedance out of the zones the system is okay, if it's not there is a failure. now i have to know in which zone the failure is.
    how can i do this?
    please help me!
    yours karin

The default history length of a chart is 1024. To make it longer is a right click option.

  • Using two different calculation type  for one condition in purchasing

    hi
    purchasing price must be callculated as the mix of fixed and quantity calculation types, example is below;
for material A whose purchasing unit of measure is quantity (piece) but base unit of measure is gr.
1.from 1 gr to 500 gr discount must be 50 usd  as fixed,so 1 gr discount is the same with 499 gr discount.
    2. from 501 gr up to x, 0,10 usd per gr
    for example;
if quantity = 10 and  total default gr from material 450, discount must be 50 usd as fixed.
but during good receipt in migo 10 piece can be 600 gr so, price must be calculated as 600*0,10 = 60 usd.
or vice versa,in purchasing order total gram can be gretaer than the gr which will be used in migo during good receipt .
if quantity = 10 and  total default gr from material 600, discount must be 60 usd as scaled.
but during good receipt in migo 10 piece can be 450 gr so, price must be calculated as 50usd as fixed.
    it s a little complicated.
    Thanks in advance.

If the coding is not written correctly, it would definitely affect the system performance.  This is not only for user exit but also will be applicable to routines.  So it makes no difference.
And is not difficult to get an access key to do this development
Not in all cases.  In some projects, getting an Access Key itself is very difficult and it undergoes cumbersome process from client side.  So we have to take a decision on case to case basis whether to go with routine or user exit.

  • Multiple Chart Types

Is there a way to have multiple charts types in one chart. I can not seem to figure it out. For example, I would like to display events per day as a bar chart and on the same chart have the average of events over the last week displayed as a line.

I have come up with a far from perfect way to overcome this. With two data sets using the same x-axis values, I made two separate charts in 3D mode (can't get it to work in 2D). Then, I set one of the charts to have its Y-axis on the left and the other on the right. You will have to also change the colour for one of the charts. As the default first colour for most of the colour groups is blue, you'll either have to choose 'fun' or a textured group. Remove the x-axis values from one of the charts. Align the two charts, group and resize to your preferred size. You might need to ungroup and then resize one of them again to get a proper fit. Bear in mind that once they're grouped, you can't make any cosmetic changes to the charts - although data changes will be properly updated.
Rather labour intensive, but sufficient until Apple gets its act together on this.

Er, specifically, what type of chart are you trying to use?I think the error is rather self-explanatory.  If you want more than one Show value, you can only have one Change value. As a trick I have used in the past, you can use a formula to concatenate the Month and Level.  This creates one Change value, but generally still gives you the level of detail you are looking for.

  • Getting all chart types in IChart

hai can some plz solve this problem
here im trying to plot the complete chart types of
Ichart in a single page with tag query.
for this i did it through simulator server i took One TagQuery , selected Mode as Taglist .And i took IBrwoser for list of tags with multi selection nd in that i enabled AlwaysExpandedMode and the Multiple Selection mode. Here im taking Chart types with select option in html and passing that variables into irpt file.in html page im taking list box of tag name for selecting tags and drop down of chart type for selecting chart type and one submit button for submiting the form.
for tagvalues im taking a array for counting the tag values nd passing it into irpt
    that nd all fine
iam getting chart also but iam getting chart for only five values. so whats the problem im facing here is after refreshing if i select two tag values its getting replace with the first two values of previous chart .
so where im getting the problem could u plz let me know how to solve this problem
    Thanks &Regards

    Hi apsara,
From what i understood, the problem seems to be that the array is getting overwritten. Is it true??? Can u be more clear on this??
