Two emails, from .icloud and for verification
Ok, I got two emails to a Yahoo addy. One was from Apple, asking me to verify if I had made a change in my
Apple ID. I hadn't and, of course, I didn't verify the change. The second email was addressed "Test" and had
the signing, "Me." Me was a ***** ******* with the email addy ending @.icloud. The name in front of the @.icloud
was, indeed, the name I use on my Yahoo email account. Now, would I be correct in assuming that someone
was phishing or even trying to get into my Apple Account or changing my ID in order to buy things or somehow
establish use of my iCloud account? Also, should I be changing my password, etc., or is the fact that I did not
verify the change good enough? Thanks.

I have tried to change my User id which is an email address I no longer want to use. Now I am constantly getting requests from icloud and Apple ID for my password and cant get into my icloud account.
To change the iCloud ID you have to go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account, provide the password for the old ID when prompted to turn off Find My iPhone, then sign back in with the ID you wish to use. If you don't know the password for your old ID, or if it isn't accepted, go to https://appleid.apple.com, click Manage my Apple ID and sign in with your current iCloud ID. Click edit next to the primary email account, change it back to your old email address and save the change. Then edit the name of the account to change it back to your old email address. You can now use your current password to turn off Find My iPhone on your device, even though it prompts you for the password for your old account ID. Then save any photo stream photos that you wish to keep to your camera roll. When finished go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account and choose Delete from My iDevice when prompted (your iCloud data will still be in iCloud). Next, go back to https://appleid.apple.com and change your primary email address and iCloud ID name back to the way it was. Now you can go to Settings>iCloud and sign in with your current iCloud ID and password.

I cannot receive a verification email from icloud on my comcast email account. I have tried looking in spam, going to appleid and asking to resend the verification email many times, and I get nothing. Any suggestions? Thanks.
Most likely it is blocked on server level, you need to go to account settings and unblock everything that has word apple in it. Also just to make sure, verify that you didn't misspell your e-mail address.

I just received an email from icloud stating that my free upgrade was going to expire and it would decrease to 5 (when I have been using 10+). What is this??
The actual amount of extra free storage varies depending on how much storage previous subscribers had.
If you do nothing your storage will dowgrade to 5GB so you should make sure you don't have more content than this.

I just received an email from iCloud security Center about irregular activity on my account and needing me to verify my account with information like my SS#. Is this legit?

I've just bought an iPhone 5S in the UK, seems like a big mistake, but luckily by law we can return goods, which is exactly what is going to happen if I cant get this to work. This is my business phone, not having it functional can cost me money.
I have turned off sync to icloud from the phone for both my contacts and calendar, as told on itunes. However, iTunes still says they are synced from iCloud and wont sync to my PC, why and how do I fix it so that it doesnt go to iCloud for anything ?
The phone currently has no contacts or calendar information installed.

Just like those who contribute to these forums. Sometimes Google is your best friend.
I agree that Apple could probably make it easier, but as of yet prefer security over freedom. (sound famaliar?)

First man up and admit, that itunes does not suggest, but tells you that update is available and you made a
decision to download and update. Once you man up - think if you still under warranty. If that is not security
software according to the link provided, it is hardware. So second try another network, may be your network
has additional security or firewall. And third decide if it worth to you pay 149 for that phone or get it replaced.

How do I unlock mac? Someone hacked my account and I wiped my device from iCloud, and now I ask for a four digit code ignition Mac. How do they proceed in that way to unlock my Mac?
Settings>general>resets>erase all content and settings.
That will put it back to its out of the box state. Set it up with your own apple Id. -
I try to install LR CC in Creativ Cloud (10 times) on Mac and as propose I logout from iCloud and login again. The Start Icon shows for short time an that is all.....is a deinstallation from the old LR necessary?? Or what is to do. Daniel Berne

I'm backing up my new iphone 5 from icloud and it's taking forever for my photos to download. It's been going for 4 days. It's downloaded 1400 out of 1900 photos. Am I doing something wrong?
I think you may not using the right technical terms. When backing up to icloud, there is no way you'd get a message saying things will be wiped. This message may be displayed when you are performing a RESTORE from a backup and then trying to cancel it.
If you are doing a restore, then you can reboot and restore again. -
Unwated mulitiple number of emails from icloud
I have been receiving a number of emails of the same email from Icloud, It started two days ago and I can not find the reason for it.

Yosamite 10.10.1You should be able to send email from Safari, however I do wonder why you wish to do this and whether there is something inherently wrong with using your mail app and your iCloud address.
