Two emails get sent when I am only sending one
Hi, I'm new to this, and not good at brief.
Incoming mail tells me there are 4 but I only receive 3, where is the fourth?
Outgoing mail - I'm sending 2 emails but the mail activity tells me I am sending 3, where did the third one come from?
USB stick, I load a word doc to put in another computer and on that computer it tells me I have 4 items on the stick but I know I only put one on and the stick was empty before I used it. I delete the unwanted items and lo and behold it does it again.
Where are all these extra files coming from? I have been told not to use firewall as I don't need it and it is dodgy incase you forget the password and then you cannot get into your computer.

I think you are confusing the firewall with FileVault. Firewall is good and needed. FileVault can be problematic and unless you require extreme security, it's not necessary.
Whoever told you that is misinformed and I would be careful about any information you get from him regarding Mac OSs.
That being said, one should never never forget a password. Any password.
Additionally, FileVault also requires setting a master password in case you forget the admin password, so you really would have to forget two passwords in order to lose the files in the FileVault. This is extremely improbable.

I do not see an issue here ....just add a submit by email button at the end of each section and enter the email address that you want in each.

I downloaded maverick and now mac mail says that I am sending or receiving many more emails than I really am. I have checked with people who are receiving my emails and they all claim there is no problem with virus, etc. Why is this doing this? any one else have this problem?

When I send a document for signature, two emails are sent to my client and myself. How do I make sure only one is sent?

I checked your account at the backend and found many transactions sent out.
In order to narrow down the issue and search we need to know the specific transaction detail for which you faced this issue.
1. Signers email address
2. Senders email address
3.Name of the document
4. Date it was sent.

Does anyone have problems with sent messages not showing in their Mail? I have two sent folders when really I only want one. Any tips?
Not sure if this is a fix, but I tried sending myself a test email from only the Bcc field, and lo and behold it now shows the Bcc field in all sent item previews;
...maybe leaving the 'To' field blank on purpose forced Mail to show it.
Rebooted the Mail program, still there - rebooted the machine, still there. Hope this is still relevant and it works for you too - J. -
My iMac locks up constantly in email. I click on one or two emails. Then when I click on another email, I get the spinning wheel and have to relaunch. Why does it get confused and lock up? Seems like it is stuck.
10.6.8 here, MacBook Pro. Comcast. Mail freeze ups. Occasional warnings to use "Log Out" under the Apple icon.

Emails get sent in Mail when pressing the space bar whilst spell checking
Why do emails get sent in Mail when pressing the space bar whilst spell checking ?? This is beyond annoying. It's been happening for ages on my MBP. I have seen others complain and I can't understadn why this simple bug has not been fixed. Any help on this would be very much appreciated. thank you.

In composing I have Check Spelling "when I click send" selected. I tried on my iMac, my Mail account is sync'd via iCloud etc.. I got the same thing, when you hit send and review your spelling, I need to do that a lot, as well as insert missing words. As soon as you hit the space bar off goes the email. I have seen others complain of this on the google. I have now switched to check as I type but when i make a typo Mail just puts a red line under the word, it doesn't open up the Spell Checker dialog.
Is there away of resetting my Mail Apps database ? MAybe something is corrupt.

Mail sending two mails when I mean to only send one
Every time I send an e-mail with the new Mail program that comes with 10.5, it says that I have two e-mails sending from the outbox when I should only have one. I hope Mail isn't duplicating my secret and incriminating e-mails and sending them somewhere else!
in the sent mailbox, can you see to whom you sent that email, are there two emails sent for that one you sent, or maybe more than one recipient in the "sent" field?
also in mail>preferences>composing do you have cc or bcc "myself" checked or not?

Has anyone had a problem with Draft Emails getting sent with Mac OS 10.8.2? It just happened to me and sent a few drafts out to a potential employer I planned on sending out tomorrow.

What possible things are connected at home but not at the store, inlude every cable, etc.
One way to test is to Safe Boot from the HD, (holding Shift key down at bootup), run Disk Utility in Applications>Utilities, then highlight your drive, click on Repair Permissions, Test for problem in Safe Mode...
PS. Safe boot may stay on the gray radian for a long time, let it go, it's trying to repair the Hard Drive
Reboot, test again.
If it only does it in Regular Boot, then it could be some hardware problem like Video card, (Quartz is turned off in Safe Mode), or Airport, or some USB or Firewire device, or 3rd party add-on, Check System Preferences>Accounts>Login Items window to see if it or something relevant is listed.
Check the System Preferences>Other Row, for 3rd party Pref Panes.
Also look in these if they exist, some are invisible...

Why does it say More. . . in email address line when there is only one email address?
When receiving an email, why does it say 'More. . .' in the To email address line when there is only one email address? It looks like there is more than one recipient when there is actually just one.
Have you rebooted since the deletions. That will empty a number of caches and may restore the freed up space. Also open the iPhoto Library package with the Finder as shown in this screenshot
locate the iPod Photo Cache folder and delete its contents. Make no other changes to the contents of the iPHoto LIbrary Package.

I had two email accounts on mobile me. Only one of the accounts now shows as an iCloud account. What do I need to do?
What do you mean by 'I had two email accounts on mobile me'?
Did you have two separate individual MobileMe accounts? Each needs to be migrated separately; one can be signed into in System Preferences>iCloud and the other in System Preferences>Mail, Contacts & Calendars.
Did you have a Family Pack with subaccount(s), or 'email only' accounts attached to a main account? Again, each sub-account/email-only account needs to be migrated separately, will become a full separate iCloud account and they can be signed into as above.
Did you have email aliases? These should be transferred along with the account. They are not separate accounts, and do not appear as such in Mail; messages to them appear in the iCloud inbox alongside messages to the main address. -
Email not sent when rejecting time

Works when done in CATS_APPR_LITE, but not from MSS approval view.
Have checked user email in su01, SMTP config in SCOT, and verified with SOST.
Nothing in the default.trc log.

When using mail the system shows information that it has received mail (today it said 300) but only 2 or 3 come up in the inbox. It never used to do this. Why? Similarly when sending mail it says sending 3 of 3 when I am only sending 1 email.

Select the problem mailboxes in the mailbox list, then select
Mailbox ▹ Rebuild
from the menu bar. -
I have an iphone and have two email accounts linked to it. I want one of the email accounts to BCC myself but I don't want the other email account to do that. How do I do that?
If the picture was in your photo stream you can sign into the iCloud account in Settings>iCloud and turn on photo stream to see/copy it. If it was only in the iCloud backup you can't restore just the picture; you have to restore the entire backup. Restoring a backup is all or nothing.
