I have two hotmail email accounts ...one must be private password protected with its own contact address file.. How do I set up the private one?
The non private one is set up and appears when I touch "mail"

OK I signed out of itunes and then signed back in on my IPad 3. Now I tried to download an app but it just says "waiting" but nothing is happening, after 10 miniutes. The IPad mini was my grandson's and I did link it with my IPad 3..

Why would I use two different emails and passwords? What is the benefits if I use one email for iCloud and one for my Apple ID .

From where I have seen this most helpful is when you have multiple people (family memebers) sharing one Apple ID/iCloud account and you run out of the free 5GB iCloud back up space since there are many devices backing up to the same account.
We've seen students using his/her parents or family Apple ID/iCloud account and when they go to back up their device or apps with data connected to iCloud (like iMovie/Notability), it won't back up b/c they are out of space. Mom's iPhone with 4GB of photos on it is hogging up all the iCloud back up storage so when Sally needs to back up her school iPad to iCloud, there's not enough space so her device/data doesn't back up completely. If Sally creates her own iCloud account, then she's got the full 5GB to use and doesn't have to worry about the other devices.
Also, if you had a work issued device and a personal device but use the same Apple ID- you could create different iCloud accounts for each device for back up. I myself use the same account- I don't seperate out mainly b/c I don't want to keep up with another apple account and I don't use a lot of apps that need to retain data.

Two email bugs that require Apple's attention

I am converting over from a Blackberry that I use to check my POP email account hosted by my ISP. Here are the two major problems I've encountered so far with receiving emails on my iPhone:
1) If an attachment (.doc .xls .pdf) is attached to an email written in MS Outlook and the body is formated as HTML or Rich Text, the attachment won't open on the iPhone. If sent with the body formatted as Plain text or if sent from Yahoo or Mac Mail, it opens fine. This is a major problem for me since I work with 100's of clients that live in the Wintel universe, and they aren't going to change their email formatting for my convenience...
2) I am having trouble doing a Receive from my MS Outlook 2003 to check my POP email account, it keeps returning an error saying "Your mailbox is temporarily unavailable because another mail application is accessing it." If I power down the iPhone, Send/Receive works fine. That workaround pretty much negates the value of having a cell phone, since I can't receive cell calls if the iPhone is powered down so that I can get emails on my PC while sitting in my office.
Anyone else having these problems??? How about we all call them in to Apple Support, I have to believe this should be able to be fixed with a software update, vs. many of the petty gripes that I'm seeing on this forum.

I have a collaboration room set up to use Webex as an online tool. When I click the START button it actually asks me Twice about whether or not I want to launch webex and then it sends me TWO emails: one in ENGLISH and the second in GERMAN.
Here is the contents of the GERMAN email:

in my trial i had only two user connected to a group so sometimes second step is recieved by user 1 or user 2 . if one of them approves then document is getting approved and goes to next step
it is same in the case of rejection too.

Log in to your account, and move all your files to your home folder. No other users should be able to access them there and they won't show up with a Spotlight search.
Make sure your kids' account(s) do not have admin privileges.

Is it possible that you are using the same password for the old O2 Study and newer O2 Apple Base Station networks?
If so, Keychain Access is storing the old information about the old network and may be associating it with your AirPort Extreme settings based on the BSSID that William has mentioned.
If that's the case, open Macintosh HD > Applications > Utilities > KeyChain Access and look for a listing with the old network name. Delete this entry. You may need to power down both the computer and the AirPort Extreme and restart them.

Just go to the wireless network preferences and empty out all the stored wireless networks.. then scan and connect to the local wireless.
Select them and tap the - button below it.
Once they are emptied out.. it might be good to reboot the computer with the remember networks unchecked.
Start with a clean slate.

I have forgotten my email password, and it's currently saved on the phone. I don't wanna change it because I have saved on other devises as well.

You need the owner of the account to remove the iPhone from their Apple ID, there is no way around this sorry.

Exchange and Apple - Must create password or you wont receive email?

Two-three weeks ago all of our apple devises wether iphone 4S or IPad II received a message indicating that you had to create a password or you will not be receiving any email from the exchange server. Prior to this there were no issues everything was working like a clock. However not knowing at that moment what in the world is this asking for, like what password is it looking for. so I clicked create new password and gave it a password then the message went away. Now everytime I go to use my ipad or iphone I must enter that same password in order to get access. I dont understand if the password was for the exchange (for what ever reason) then why would it prohibit me from accessing the apple desktop which has nothing to do with the email account. Once I entered the password I went to see disable the passcode which I never enable but found that it was greyed out meaning it was no longer an option. What! how could this be...I called Apple and asked them about this. We apparently decided to delete the email account for exchange and all the problems went away. it was back to normal..However this isnt the solution I am expecting because all our apple products were purchased for our work environment and retreave email, contacts, calanders, reminders, etc. SO HAS ANY ONE RUN INTO THIS WITHIN THE PAST 2-3 WEEKS. DID NEW OS TRIGGER SOMETHING THAT MAY HAVE CAUSED THIS. WE NEED TO BE ABLE TO CONNECT TO OUR EXCHANGE 2010 SERVER. NOTE: THAT OUR SERVERS ARE NEW STATE OF THE ART USING EXCHANGE 2010 AND NO CHANGES WERE MADE AT ANY TIME.

Yes. I have work email on my iPad through exchange. On our office it's Microsoft outlook yes. My work has to open up and active sync account for a person using an iOS device to get email. When you put in all the info(ie login, domain, etc) hit to save settings it prompts a password lock for your iPad to be setup. You cannot bypass this and get mail without it. Every time I open my iPad I put in a password. It's a security per cation incase your iPad gets lost of stolen. I work for a brokerage firm so there is personal information on my iPad. Your work obviously feels the same. You must keep the password on. If you take it off your email won't be on your iPad. Sorry.

Two Email Addresses, only check one?

Let's see if I can explain my crazy situation:
I just bought the 32 gb 3GS, upgraded from the 16gb 3G. Sweet phone, much faster! The following problem didn't exist on my 3G phone, but it does with this one.
The Setup:
1. I have two email addresses, one Gmail and one with my work domain.
2. I forward my work email address to my Gmail account so I only have to log into gmail to reply to both personal and work emails.
3. I had it set up on my old iPhone so that it only checked my Gmail account, but let me send with my work email if I chose to do so....which is most of the time.
4. Now, for whatever reason, I can add the work email account, but I can't seem to figure out how to get it NOT to check my work inbox, but still let me send from that email address....
See what I'm saying? Anyone know how to make this happen? I'd hate to have to check and delete two sets of identical emails on my phone.

I am using the first method, so I know it works.
Click Settings / Mail / Add Account / Other / Add Mail Account.
Put your name (like John Doe).
Put your email address (your work address, not GMail)
Put your GMail password in the password field.
Put a description (like Work Email)
Click Save.
The next screen lets you choose POP or IMAP. Leave the Name, Address, and Description fields be. Scroll down to Incoming Mail Server. Type
imap.gmail.com
In the user name field, type in your GMAIL user ID.
Password should already be populated with what you entered before.
Scroll down to Outgoing Mail Server. Type
smtp.gmail.com
Type your GMAIL user ID in the User Name field. Type in your GMAIL password.
Voila. Also, make sure you have validated your work email ID with Google. You do this under your GMail settings, Accounts. Otherwise it won't let you send emails through Google using your work address as a reply to.
I just tried it again to make sure of the steps and it worked. Give it another try.

One of two email no longer forwarded to phone

For over a year, I've been receiving emails on my Curve from two email accounts, one from work and one from Cox.net. Starting today I no longer receive the emails from Cox.net. I'm a donkey when it comes to these sort of things and I hope someone can help because I am leaving town tomorrow morning. Thank you.

has your password changed recently?
if so find email settings icon on your BB and click on your cox email, retyoe password
do you access your email through a 3rd party client like outlook as well?
if using outlook or similar, in outlook click tools, email settings(or email accounts) click on your email properties, click on MORE settings button, click advanced tab... make sure LEAVE A COPY ON THE SERVER has a check mark.
if none work, you can try in email settings, to delete the cox integration and then reintegrate it

I have two email accounts associated with one iTunes account with two passwords, I guess it happened when i changed my internet service provider.

Could be, but i do have an old email account, whis is not used, changed carrriers. I have noticed that some songs have a cloud with a line through it. I try to play it and a dialog box from Itunes pops up: "THIS COMPUTER IS NOT AUTHORIZED TO PLAY "THE THINGS WE DO FOR LOVE(SOUND TRACK VERSION, would you like to authorize it? THe apple ID haxe my old email address " and an empty block asking for my password. Well all i know is when you start trying to authorze with an old ID or something of that nature, the account is block and you need to do a new setup again. And who knows what other problems that will cause,
I just want the songs (i think there are several songs) assosiated with this old account to move to my new account.
Any ideas?

You can set up your iCloud account on your iOS device under: "Settings > iCloud" and a other account for store purchases under "Settings > iTunes & App Stores". Unfortunately merging accounts is not possible but you could transfer all of your music manually via iTunes from your Mac or PC.
