Two Errors with Build 9879

Hello everybody.  Their are two error on my computer that my or may not be coming from this OS, but I couldn't find any other info on them.
The first error happens when nothing is actively happening on my computer (ie no games, moves. browsing, or music).  After about 5 minuets the blue screen of death will pop up with the error is "PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA (Wof.sys)".
The computer will then have a 50/50 chance of returning to the sign in screen or getting stuck in a mode were my computer is on but no signals are being sent to my monitor, keyboard or mouse.  This error will also sometimes happen when being woken
up from sleep/ hibernate.
In the second error the computer will randomly wake up from sleep/ hibernate.  I have tried such things as telling the computer that wifi and programs can not wake it up and checked that the auto wake up for sleep/ hibernate is turned off.
If this is the wrong place to post please tell me and here are my computer specs http://pcpartpicker.com/p/87b9nQ

Please review this

  • Skipping Build 9879

Based on what I've been reading, I don't want anything to do with Build 9879. Since Build 9860 upgraded my PC without warning, can anyone tell me how I can prevent Build 9879 from doing the same?

I believe that introduction of two update rings, i.e. Slow ('stable') and Fast ('unstable') wasn't by some accident.
If one prefers to have a preview of Win10 but doesn't want his HDD 'bricked' why would you deny him?
rhwright, I responded to you at answers.microsoft.com - just use Slow ring and you'll be fine (9879 belongs to Fast one)
UPDATE: but that solution may not last for long
Windows 10 should be here in stable form in mid-2015, so future updates are really critical for both users and Microsoft in order to fix bugs before the public launch.#WindowsInsiders We
decided to make a couple of additional fixes so are holding Slow ring progression until early next week. Thanks all!

  • Start menu in build 9879 compared to build 9926

Hi! I liked the Start menu in build 9879 better than the one in 9926. I found a registry hack to go back to the 9879 Start menu layout, but if possible I would like an option right there in the settings for the Start menu.
Other than that, I love the 9926 build. Go, Microsoft, go! Go Seahawks!

I spent some time with build 9879 getting the start menu the way I wanted it. Updating to 9926 made a mess of it, with no apparent UI options to get back. I prefer being able to adjust the UI to my liking. If I wanted to simply accept whatever
the developer likes, I'd become an Apple customer.

  • Random FB build errors with FXGs

I'm having issues with random build errors.  When one of these errors occurs, it always says it has trouble with an FXG class.
    Error text is this:
"In initializer for 'mxmlContent', type FXGClass is not assignable to target Array element type mx.core.IVisualElement."
This seems to be a similar problem that someone else posted: http://forums.adobe.com/thread/929171 but their solution didn't work for me.
The solution from the linked thread, renaming/creating a duplicate of the file with the FXGs in it, didn't work.  Renaming ANOTHER file in my code base did.  One that did not contain FXGs.  (We use subversion and I systematically rolled back until the code base built error free and slowly deduced the affecting file).
Now occasionally we are having the errors with a completely new file with an FXG icon.  The first file had FXGs delared in MXML, this new one declares it in AS.  Both FXGs are put into the layout via MXML.  Sometimes commenting it out, building, commenting back in, building works....but not always.  If we go edit some code in another file elsewhere, it will sometimes clear the error and build fine.
This error is driving us nuts as we have no idea what the trigger is.  We have a fair number of FXGs in the code base for visual elements.  We use common code accross Web, Desktop and Mobile projects.  Sometimes they all build fine, sometimes they all error, sometimes only some projects error.  There seems to be no consistancy when the build errors occur.
Using Flash Builder 4.6 (on Windows 7)
    Flex SDK 4.6
AIR SDK 3.3 (though errors occur on a Web build too)
We've made new Workspaces and brought in the sub-versioned code and it still occurs (on two seperate machines), so it seems to point to a code base trigger.  I'm stumped where to start.  When it first started occuring, no extra FXG files or classes that refer to them were created.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I've seemed to have narrowed it down the file with the FXG Icon in it.  It seems that when I disclude the file from the project it renders correctly.  If used I get the weird compile errors.  I'm not sure why this specific file is causing this.  I'm concluding it may be a corrupted in some way and I will have to rebuild it from scratch to narrow down the issues.
Removing the FXG from  the file itself doesn't help.

  • Error code 1 occurs with build of .exe (problem VI attached)

The problem I have been having with a particular project has been posted many times by others.  I have read through many of the threads related to this (or somewhat related to it).  I've tried some things but not all.  I finally started disabling sections of my code to see if the error went away.  I have tracked it down to the attached VI.  The error code is also attached.  Can someone analyze this VI and see what the problem could be?  It uses .NET objects, so I am not sure exactly what the compiler is looking for.  I should note that this is not my VI, but one I copied from the forum here.  As far as e-mail, the VI works great in development mode, but obviously I desire a stand-alone application.
Also note that I created a new project and dropped this VI on the top-level VI and it built an .exe just fine, which doesn't make any sense to me. Perhaps someone can shed some light on this issue.  When I tried moving it back to the original project, it failed the build.  If all instances of this VI are disabled in my project (using a disable diagram), it builds the project with no errors.  Thanks in advance for your assistance.

I have the same problem, me too.
It took often some time to be able to compile my project. I modified some code in some VIs (but keeping the functionality) until I modified the blocking part by hazard and compile worked. But today it takes me hours and I am still trying on.
When I remember right the message most often told me about a broken VI. (But there was none.) But today I got the same error message as you. There is no helpful information included:

Any hints how to quickly identify the problematic code?
(My guess was that it could have something to do with upconverted VIs containing a conditional disable structure. But it looked like this was not always the case.)

  • Error in 6.0.2 with building application that contains SPC vi

I am attempting to build a .exe file with the app builder, I have a sub vi that includes SPC vi's the failing one is 'Vertical Bar Graph With Limits.vi'. It notes that 'Error 1 occured at this vi'. When I remove this sub vi the program complies fine, any suggestions?

There's nothing about that VI I can imagine causing an error on build. You might try doing a force compile of your app to track it down. Try opening up your top level VI, hold CTRL+Shift and hit the run arrow at the same time. If it gives you a broken arrow, you can bring up the error list to try to find it. Maybe this will help locate the problem. If you haven't already, might not hurt to do a mass compile of the SPC VI's also.

    Hi cheatcountry,
    0xC1900101- 0x40017  - MOSETUP_E_SETUP_PLATFORM
The setupact.log is a record collection of all processes, we may check the migration fault, but we may not find the specific driver in it.
I would look into this log if you upload in forum:
    %windir%\Panther\Setupact.log
    C:\$Windows.~BT\Sources\panther\Setupact.log
This error is caused by a faulty driver. The graphic card driver could cause such issue indeed. I suggest you update to the latest version, the best way is to confirm it is supported in Windows 8.1 officially.

  • Error with Title i.d. and password in app builder

    Hi;
Ive just subcribed to Pro edition DPS and am starting to build my viewer app, however im getting an error with Title i.d. and password in app builder
It says niether the title id or password are valid, however they are the same as i've used to both log into app builder and to upload my folios to the folio producer.
    What am i missing here?
    Scott

Yes, the account administration stuff is confusing when you jump from a "creative" account to a Pro account. As the Getting Started guide states, when you set up your Pro account, you should use dedicated Adobe IDs, such as [email protected] and [email protected], not [email protected] The Copy Folio command makes it easy to transfer folios from one account to another, especially if you do it on the same machine you used to create the folios. Everything moves over nicely.
Again, don't use your "master" account for creating and publishing folios. Use it only for account administration.

  • Release build error with ANE "AOT Compilation has failed while optimizing function"

I'm trying to use the ChartBoost ANE which can be downloaded here https://github.com/freshplanet/ANE-Chartboost
When I do an Ad-hoc release build It keeps crashing and giving me the error below when packaging for iOS. But if I do a debug build that's a "fast" or "standard" build it compiles fine, and I can even see the ads.
Why would it crash when doing a release build? Does this ANE need an update?
I'm using FB 4.7 and AIR 3.8. Specifically, Apache Flex 4.10 Air 3.8
If I remove this 1 line of the Chartboost ANE code "AirChartboost.getInstance().showInterstitial();", the release build compiles fine and I can put it on the test iOS device.

I just encountered this error when building ad-hoc package, say that:
Error occurred while packaging the application:
AOT Compilation has failed while optimizing function apackage::AClass.aFunction
After several tries It turns out that the error was because the function aFunction has a return before some other code (for testing). I commented the code after the return then the packaging works fine.

Again, this looks like I am missing some components.
    Any assistance is greatly appreciated.

Further developments:  As you may note from the error message, DS is looking for com.sap.ide.metamodel.core.services.eclipse in both the C: and the E: drive at the same time.  In fact, this file exists in the E: drive subdirectory listed, so I obviously have an error with two drive designations being concatenated.  Does anyone know how I can change the lookup directory for this dependency (or any dependency)?
    Thanks,
    TB
