Two extra pages print with every fax received

photosmart 7510. Eprint prints one efax sheet record and one blank sheet every time a fax is received via eprint. Efax says to get in touch with HP. Anyway to just get fax and no other papers?

To the best of my knowledge, if eFax cannot get the cover page to stop printing, there is no way to get it to stop. The blank page that is printing out may be caused by the original fax formatting, or by odd spacing formatting caused by the analog to digital exchange that occurs. Sorry for the inconvenience.

Application "Pages" opens with every restart of computer?

Recently downloaded Lion from the App Store. Now "Pages" opens with every restart of computer?

Could be two things
1. Look in you system prefs and look for login items for your user. If pages is there, remove it......or
2. Lion now thinks that if you "quit" apps or restart without first closing documents, then it will restart and re- open apps and documents you had open when you restarted. So make sure you close the documents, and then quit the app. I don't like this much......I hear some programs have some settings for this, but I'd like yo turn it off globally......

Adobe Form's First Page printing perfectly on 132 column sheet but further pages prints with small font size

Dear All,
We are facing a strange behavior of adobe form.
we made form for SAP CRM which is printing in 132 column(28cm * 33cm) sheet. what we are observing is, first page is printing perfectly on the pre printed Invoice sheet but if invoice has more items to be displayed then second page prints with small font size or you can say second page seems to be zoomed out to smaller page size. In Preview Second page onwards also looks perfect. Now we are in a fix what to do to come out of this issue.

Adobe Page Size Adjusted.
Select paper Source by Page Size ticked in Adobe form properties
But still result is non satisfactory. Please Help.

a) The size of the pages of PDF which you are printing. LETTER
b) Does all pages of the PDF are of same size? YES
c) What is the page size set in the Printer and what is the actual size of the paper which you have put in the tray? LETTER
d) Does this problem also happens on the virtual printer which you might have on your system (Try either Microsoft MPS Document writer or Adobe PDF Printer) No VIRTUAL PRINTERS

Using Windows XP and Firefox 3.6.15 web pages print with some of the script as unintelligible weird looking script or maybe some kind of computer script. This doe not accure usingg IE 8.0 with the same printer.

My advice is to uninstall that extension. IMO, you have too many extensions installed, and are asking for problems with Firefox. I am not against using a lot of extensions in Firefox ''(I typically have 45 to 50 extensions installed, but the mix of extensions you have scares me as potentially problematic.)''

HP 5500 Extra page printing?

Have am HP 5500 networked printer spitting out an extra page after print jobs, has been going on for about a month now. It does this about 3/5 print jobs. When a user sends a document whether multi paged or not, it will print the job then prints an extra page saying
JOB STORAGE STATUS PAGE
Error: Unable to store job at printer
Reason: Printer not configured to collate
Solution: Install an EIO hard disk.
There is already 176 Mb or RAM installed along with a 81 RAM disk.
Ive tried turning off job storage, with no luck and turning it back on. I already did a firmware update and its still printing extra page. The printer is set to spool from the server. Did RAM check with no errors.
Running out of ideas, any input would be greatly appreciated. Thanks .

Extra page printing

I recently installed the PCL6 Driver (Windows 7) for my HP Color laser Jet 2605dn. With every print job I am getting an additional page. I cannot figure out how to change the settings to remove this page. The page reads (something like):
GET /DevMgmt/DiscoveryTree.xml HTTP/1.1
Host 127.0.0.6:7070
Any clues on how to resolve this waste of paper?

Another possibility -
I don't have a Lexmark printer, but the features offered should be similar -
In the Print dialog screen, look for a pulldown menu showing the current program -
Click it, and select Cover Page from the menu presented -
In the new info displayed, set the "Print Cover Page" choice to "None".

Additional Page printed with each print

Hi there
My Hp eprint 8600 prints a additional page with each print. This only occurs when I eprint from Pastel. The extra page has the following on it,"Tax Invoice number #### from Boland Dry Ice Bpk." I use Pastel Xpress Version 12 and I have Windows 7 Home Basic. I want to get rid of the extra page being printed, because it adds up to a lot of useless pages.
I have consulted with Pastel, and their customer service couldn't find any problem from Pastels side.
Maybe the subject gets printed when using Pastel....

I understand you have already addressed this issue with Pastel and you feel the issue is in some way related to the printer. I suggest running the Print and Scan Doctor. The HP Print and Scan Doctor was designed by HP to provide users with the troubleshooting and problem solving features needed to resolve many common problems experienced with HP print and scan products connected to Windows-based computers. Click here to download and run the utility.
If the Print and Scan does not find an issue, I recommend uninstalling and reinstalling the Pastel program. I personally feel that the issue is related to the program, it seems as though something is stuck. Do you have a file on your computer related to "Tax Invoice number #### from Boland Dry Ice Bpk", or have you recently printed something similar?
If it was happening from other programs, I would suspect it was within the settings of the printer properties. There is an option there for adding or removing a separator page, but the issue you are experiencing is isolated to Pastel.

An extra page prints before and after a page with the data, why?

If I go to www.allrecipes.com, select a recipe and click on the Print button, FF prints an extra blank page before and after the recipe. The recipe is short and easily fits on a single page. I've changed all the print settings so that even the Header & Footer info is set to "Blank".

I don't understand why blank pages are generated, but I can help you with a quick hack if you like. This will strip off everything but the actual recipe area so that you can streamline the printout.
After you load the page and select your options:
* Open Firefox web console using Ctrl+Shift+k
* Next to the caret (>) paste the following script then press Enter to run it:
var rectbl = document.querySelector(".pageback table.recipeprinttable"); document.body.insertBefore(rectbl, document.body.firstChild); while(document.body.children.length>1) document.body.removeChild(document.body.children[1]);
* Close the web console by pressing Ctrl+Shift+k again

Paste the code into the Location box (the second box).
Then type a useful name in the Name box (e.g., AllRecipes) and click Add.
Now, when you want to hack the page, click the button to run the script.

Double-sided, two per page printing

Hi, every week I have at least 2-3 7-page documents to print 12 copies of. How do I stop each copy runninig in to each other i.e., the first page of the second document prints out next to the last page of the first document. It's infuriating!!

That is a printer issue from what I know. I have a similar problem if I print multiple copies of a document with odd number of pages. The only solution I have if there is not an option in the printer menu is to add a blank page. You might want to create a blank page that you can insert for this purpose.

P3005 error message PCL XL error IllegalMediaSource extra sheet printed after every print job

We have a networked P3005 with a stepped back PCL5e driver working for three Word 2003 people and one Word 2007 person. Out of the blue the Word 2007 person began getting an extra sheet of paper after every print job with the error message PCL XL error Warning: IllegalMediaSource. We had gotten a version of this error before, which is why I stepped back the driver to PCL5e.
Anyone have any thoughts? Please??

I have not had any problems since I read a post from someone to turn the printer off unplug the power cord from it and wait a little bit. Plugged it back in, turned it on and it has been working. I am using Vista 32 bit. I'm not sure this is what you are wanting on the driver. I found this HPC14106 .GPD 3.25.2010

New Epson WF 7620 will not print with Macbook Air, receive "Print File Was Not Accepted" message.

Hello! To anyone who tries to help me, thank you in advance!
I brought home a new Epson WF 7620 yesterday and did all the necessary stuff, installing it with my Macbook Air (Mac OS X ; 10.7.4.). I installed the software from the site, added the printer to my printer list, enabled "print sharing" and connected it to my wifi network. I am trying to use it wirelessly.
I tried to print a test page of a regular PNG image, but I am receiving the "Print File Was Not Accepted" message in my printer queue. I have changed the file type a couple times to JPG and PDF but more of the same. I have also reset the printer, and have repaired the disk permissions in the Disk Utility to try and get it to work.
None of this seems to be working, suggestions very appreciated!

Any way to select which page printed with AirPrint ?

Got an HP 6250 with AirPrint which set up very easily and works well with my iPad 2. But how can you get it to print just 1 page or a selected portion of a page. It doesn't seem to offer those options. It prints the whole article wasting paper and ink when I just want a selected page or paragraph.

Multi photo per page print with declared print sequence

ArchLinux discussion helped me learn that photoprint could deliver wallet sized photos by way of file manager selection and then "open in" photoprint.
when I installed photoprint I also learned that a missing print feature in gthumb resolved (hidden dependency I guess) Now for a bigger question.
What photo application allows for a declaration of printing sequence for each photo?
Every multiphoto printing tool I have seen (including the windows world) just lets you select from thumbnails and the images are default printed according to alphanumeric sorting on filename. Even other sorting filters (such as date based) . are of no use compared to a sequencing interface composed in the selection process.
Printing a small collection is all about telling a story visually and the sequence of presenting each image counts alot whatever the print size.

Select the photo and print - select the printer, paper size and print size, click customize an in the setting select multipls of a photo on a page - the preview will reflect this selection - and click print - make any printer specific selection and click print to print

Partial page printing with newer HP Laserjets and Xerox printers

I have been using Cyrstal Reports Developer 9.2 with .NET 2003 for a couple years now with no problems. We recently installed some new printers. HP Laserjet 4250 and Xerox Phaser 6300N. On both of these new printers the crystal report printout comes out as only a partial page. The area of the report printed is only about 4 inches x 4 inches in the upper left hand corner. The rest of the page is blank. It is not a margin setting on the printer. All other printouts work correctly from web, office products, etc.
If you force the 4250 to use the older 4100 printer driver the problem goes away but that is not a good long term solution. What do I need to do to get my Crystal Reports to work on these newer printers???

Had similar issue with my HP Deskjet F4500C All in one printer, here's what I did:
make sure these packages are installed or install them
pacman -S cups cups-pdf hplip pyqt3 python2-pyqt
pacman -S system-config-printer-gnome
rc.d cups start
To add device and install hp driver:
1. Run ‘hp-setup’ as root.
2. Click ‘Show Advanced Options’ button and check-enable ‘Manual Discovery’.
3. Enter IP address 192.168.59.63 in the ‘…device ID…’ entry and click ‘Next’ to install driver.
run system-config-printer as root, to add printer
# system-config-printer
click “Add”， Select Device -> Network Printer -> input the IP address of the printer such as “192.168.1.3″, click “Find” -> “Process”
you should be ok from here, if not some further steps:
If you encounter the following error:
File “/usr/share/system-config-printer/newprinter.py”, line 1531, in getNetworkPrinterMakeModel
debugprint (host + “: ” + args)
TypeError: cannot concatenate ‘str’ and ‘list’ objects
You should comment out the error line at 1531 of newprinter.py, and then continue to add the printer.
4). Finally, you can run hp-check to see what problems exists for the printer.

On every printing job I get a page that shows my username and job name and number before my actual job prints. Any way I can disable this?
