Hi all
My interface it is proxy to file scenerio in that one targed directory and two receiver files two be placed based on whare house code can u please help me out how to do itdynamic configuration to be used r not if yes send me how to be used mention link of any scenerio if any step by step "{one file to hsb one to super in receiver directory}"

This interface will transmit a map file for the DSK system to a predetermined file server directory. This file contains all the DSK locations and the associated materials
The information is selected from SAP IM/WM extracted into a file in SAP XI. The file is then transferred to a previously setup DSK file directory
The server/directory where the .map file will be placed is determined by the warehouse code. There is one directory for HSS and one directory for DSS
3. This interface is used by both HSS and DSS warehouse which have DSK systems. This interface should be triggered once nightly as a scheduled event for both the HSS and DSS warehouses. All DSKl locations for the specific warehouse within SAP Material Master (represented storage location all numeric) along with the item at that location will be sent as part of the transfer to DSK. The file created will have a .map extension and will be placed on a server/directory that is determined by the warehouse code associated with the locations

All - I am looking for a best solution for reading two files from sender and generating one file to the receiver.
Here is the scenario
Sender file s - A is a master file. B is a detail file; B will have a one to many records for each record of File A.. that is the relation ship between 2 files.. I am looking for a better solution to
Example
Input:
File A will have a record like "summary1 ABC 1234"
File B will have a record like "Detailfor Summary1 CDF 8679"
Output:
File C shall have a record "consolidatedofSummary&Detail ABC 1234 8679"
1) read records of master row and detail row from these 2 files
2) do the mapping to the receiver output format which it is creating for records with some harcoded values and based on the values from master and detail rows of sender file
if I can accomblish reading sender files and do the mapping to the receiver , assume that mapping to the receiver format would not be cumbersome.

Hi Gopal,
Ur approach to the interface is perfect.... Go ahead.
For selecting multiple files in source use Advanced Selection for files.. and specify the directory paths and also the file name shema...
This will fetch the 2 files into the integration engine... then u map the 2 source files to one target file(2:1 mapping).
Specify accordingly the receiver side FCC and test it end to end...
If u face any prblm post here... some1 will help u out..

Multiple Files at sender side

Hi Friends,
Im working with a scenario which gives me two different files for a single sender file.
My sender structure is having a filed "Position" which takes 2 values ( One and Two).
When i give these values, my target structure will be of two messages, one with "Position = one" and the other with "Position = two".
Im getting two files at sender side...which includes both the messages in it.
Can anyone tell me how to get the two files which consists of ONE message each.

Ok now I get your requirement.
you cant achieve this - how one receiver channel can put in two location if you dont have a dynamic configuration defined i.e Adapter specific attributes.
easy way - involve IR mapping
else
have a adapter module to define your dynamic configuration.

Set the dynamic directory/file name etc for your receiver adapter.

Yes I am contemplating the another threat . I still want to send two files because the two files have very distinct type of information . The first one is operational and the second one is about statistics . Of course that I can send both type of inforrmation in only one file . I just want to save time to the end user and let him select what infomation he wants to see .

Sender File adpater to Pick Two files at a time based on the file name

I have a scenario where I need to pick two files at a time using file adapter where the two files names have a common string in between their names.For example , the file names can be sets like
H123.txt and L123.txt
H345.txt and L345.txt.
Now how do we handle this in the File Adapter ?

Two approaches.
1. Use BPM: use a collect pattern to pick those files: L and H files , use multi mapping to merge those files and map to IDoc. Constraint is that there must be a mandatory correlation field in both the files. Say a same po id in L and H file.
2. Use an Adapter module with additional files option in file Adapter. Operate on the Main payload and attachment inside your module code to get a combined contents of both files and proceed.
Module is preferable in terms of performance, but maintenance is difficult. Deployment after each changes, transport issues, etc.
BPM is resource intensive, but easy to maintain, transport.
Choose based on your requirement.

How to process two files at the same time using BPM

Hi experts,
I have a Integration Process it takes two files one Header xml and one Lines xml. These files shoudl be processed at the same time because them will be mappend in a Idoc.
The realy trouble is that these inbound xmls never are executed at the same time. Then a IP is executed for each inbound xml.

Hi Jose,
Don't specify any end condition for fork step and check the start process check box in both the receive step.
Also put all steps inside the block.. so that the control step in deadline branch can throw exception and after that the BPM ends. As per the design now, if a deadline exception is raised (it will b handled) but after that the transformation step and send step is executed. There the BPM fails.

BPM was Picking two files but it was not processing 2nd file data in target

I have designed scenario for picking two files and i want to merge this files into single structure and send it target.when i am try to testing my bpm was picking two files but it is processing only file it went target system.i have steructe for source like

source2     item1 duplicated structure

i am getting two source files with the same structure but i have to map it one target structure and i want to map both source fileds to one target structre under item node so i was duplicated item node and mapped a b c fields from both(2 source structures).while testing BPM is picking two file bu in the target i am getting only first file data under item node,whatever i mapped with duplicate structure with second file i am not getting into target file(target is standard proxy structure so cant' create new one item node in that occurance is 0 to unbounded thats y i duplicated node while testing interface mapping its working fine).can anyone suggest solution for this problem.

Hi,
In BPM follow the below steps and hopefully your problem will be solved.
1.     Configure one sender CC to get the files from your application server, once the files hit the BPM now you need to
                     configure your BPM accordingly.
2.     Use the Receiver step in BPM to receive the messages. Use the correlation step to get the correct files.
3.     Use container and append the files, so both the files will be append, this means the message content will
                     have 1header, body, footer, 2header, body, footer.
4.     If you want to split the message to different receiver then use the fork step else leave it.
5.     Use the transformation step, the transformation step will call the message mapping. Provide the correct message
                     mapping.
6.     Now use the sender step to send the message to the receiver-target system. In this step use the split value for each
                      concept if you want to generate two different files.
7.     Configure 1 receiver CC to generate both the files.

Cannot process a Fixed Field Length file using the File Adapter (Sender)

Hi -
I have checked throughout these posts and blogs but I still have not been able to find a solution to my issue. When using the File Adapter (Sender) I get a Conversion initialization failed with "xml.keyfieldName", no value found. Why would I require a key field when I am using fixed field lenghts? The file is comprised of 2 structures - 1 header and multiple details (see below). There are no key fields in the flat file that I would be able to use. Any suggestions?

you can use the module from which u can convert your structure to

Please note the extra H,D in the struture added by the module.
You can then use them as your key fieldValues.. The module should be deployed in Visual Admin and then can be used in the Module tab of your adapter CC
While writing the content conversion after that please dont forget about the added new characters
Please note also that i can find that the word supplier kept repeating in all the Dtachkp records

Also if you feel that the field is of 13 characters and that would cause a problem dont worry... create a dummy field eg split tht 13 to two fields and use the common one as key field Value and identifier... as i see in ure case its like 500 Supplier , 502 Supplier . u can split the first 4 char and the remaing 9 char are key field value.

Not archive File adapter - Sender

Two problem is Sender service.
First Problem....
Source Directory = C:\kkk\kk\ss
Processing Mode = Archive
Archive Directory = C:\abc\d
So, Source Directory is File exist, file name is abc.txt.
But, after archiving, the source directory is file remain, and Archive Directory is file remain too.
Two Problem.....
The other problem is file sender too.
I used java module in file sender. Module scenario is two folder polling.
ex)
A folder=a.txt
=> archiving => a.txt, b.txt into C
B folder=b.txt
But, module not working.....
What two Problem?
My System is NT(Window 2003, NW04s, jsk 1.4.2_9)

oops sorry as Michal said archive = archive + delete
Moreover we can only select one option either Archive/Delete/Test
As Michal said check is the directory is set to read only.

SAP XI - Combine Two files as one in File Adapter

Experts,
I want to combine two files as one in File adapter itself. I am using a simple scenario of File-to-File where i am just sending the file from sender to receiver as it is , EXCEPT, i want to add one line at the end of the file .
I was thinking of doing this in File adapter , avoiding any mapping program in Integration Repository ..

You have 3 options,first one can be to execute a OS command before message processing or use adapter modules to append the new line in the sender adapter.
the second option(and better one) is to do this via message mapping.
third option is to write a OS script and execute it after message processing on receiver file adapter.
one thing you need to make sure is that since OS scripts run on XI server itself(not on FTP server) so in case you are picking file from FTP server and delivering to FTP ,then you can't use option 1 or 3,you can only use option 2

If only both the files are present in the directory,i want pick the files otherwise not.

Hi Rushikesh,
YOu can do this in two ways,
Either you use BPM or Shell script
BPM:
          get the file in BPM and wait for second file,Furthur proess can be executed only if you get second file.
Shell script:
    Write a script to get two files or conditions in script and exit
    adapter wll call after your script.

Problem in merging two files using BPM

Hello Frens,
I am doing a scenario for merging of two files N:1 using BPMu2026
I have to merge two files into one file. The two input files are as below :
File1 : Id, Name, Age, Place
File2 : ID, Street, Adrress
And output File is : ID, Name, Age,place, street, Address
For this scenario I have defined three datatypes , message types and the message interfaces as below :
For File1: Mi_file1_ob, Mi_file1_abs
For File2: Mi_file2_ob, Mi_file2_abs
For output : mi_output_ib, mi_ouput_abs
In interface mapping I have selected two source interface and one targetu2026
For Integration process I have selected two receives as two branches of fork and transformation to collect them and a send..
In IR part I have defined three communication channels sender1, sender2 and a receiver . I have imported the integration from IP and rest is sameu2026
I am facing a problem for getting the outputu2026
When I checked in sxmb_moni everything is fine and sxi_cache and the return code is also 0 but I am not getting the outputu2026
Can anyone help me in finding out the problem..
