Two finger zoom (iOS, Android)

Is it possible to have zoom with edge animate? Is it possible to make two finger zoom?
Thanks in advance.

Never mind. I had told Preferences never to use a font less than some value. So it didn't.

  • Two finger zoom in preview doesn't work

Just upgraded to a new macbook pro 2.8ghz.
all working fabulously, except one frustrating difference.
When I hit spacebar on a JPG for example, on my old machine I used to be able to two-finger expand the window to full screen using gestures on the touch pad. It no longer works.
Also, if I hit space bar on a PPT it will show a preview, but also when doing a two-finger zoom on touchpad, it used to expand to full screen on my old machine... now it leaves the window the same size, but expands the file within that set window...so frustrating, beacuse I have to scale the window myself... i want it to go full screen in both instances...
    does this make sen

I'm having the same problem all of a sudden. I restarted Chrome and it was fine for two minutes and then it stopped working once again.

  • Disabling the two-finger zoom

how do I disable the two-finger zoom?
I use the touchpad with two hands (two index fingers) I have been with all my laptops and I know that this is an asset on the new mac touchpad but it's getting on my nerves a bit!!
I think I saw this in some preferences menu somewhere but can't find it again!

I agree 100% with how irritating the rotation and zoom is. I'm a web developer and graphic designer and I'm all the time getting frustrated because my fingers slip and now my entire canvas in Adobe® Photoshop® has rotated 48.3 degrees and I can't work on it anymore. Fortunately I just found out that Adobe® has been aware of this issue since the introduction of the MacBook Air and have created a solution.
    http://www.adobe.com/support/downloads/detail.jsp?ftpID=4337&PID=2294914
Adobe Photoshop CS4 Disable Canvas Rotation Via Trackpad plug-in. Download and open the DMG, then save the plug-in into:
    Applications -> Adobe Photoshop CS4 -> Plug-ins
Restart Photoshop and you should be good to go. I hope this helps all you designers that suffer from the same frustration I have.

  • UIScrollView - Two finger zoom, one figner move content

    Hi,
You guys needs to help, I am hiting my head to the wall...
What I want to do is very simple. I have UIScrollView subclass MyUIScrollView. It has a UIView subclass MyUIView as subview. If user uses two fingers touch screen, I would like MyUISCrollView catch the event and zoom in and out. If user uses one finger touch screen, I would like MyUIView catch the event and call the method I implemented for it (touchesBegan, touchesEnd...). But I could get it work. Could anyone help?
    Thanks,
    ff

I want to zoom in one direction. Ie transform the y size only. I tried subclassing uiscrollview, but can't make it zoom smoothly. Anyone subclassed the 2 finger pinching?
I'd be interested in how you did it.
    Cheers

  • Screen permanently zoomed in- Magic Prefs??? After configuring "two finger zoom in" in Magic Prefs, screen is permanent;y zoomed in how do I overide Magic Prefs and switch off zoom?

Hi. I went into Magic Preferences to configure a "2 finger pinch out" as zoom in and a "2 finger pinch in" as zoom out of screen. In short, the zoom in worked and the zoom out didn't. Now my IMac screen is permanently zoomed in and I cant tell where abouts I am on the screen to switch off or overide the stupid magic prefs of my magic mouse. I have tried holding CONTROL, scroll down arrow but didn't work.
    Thanks in advance. Dennis

Try holding down Control while using the single-finger scroll gesture on the Magic Mouse. In Snow Leopard you would use the scroll-down gesture (drag finger toward you), but if you are use Lion the gesture may be reversed.
Another possibility - go to System Preferences > Universal Access, click the Seeing choice. See if Zoom got activated accidentally. If it is "on", change it to '"off".
Note that there is a keyboard command (shortcut) available to toggle that Zoom: Command-Option-8
You can disable that shortcut in System Preferences > Keyboard, Keyboard Shortcuts section - click the Universal Access item in the left-hand pane, then uncheck the "turn zoom on or off" item in the right-hand pane.
Note - the descriptions I gave for what is where applies to Snow Leopard. If you are using Lion, there should be simialr settings although their specific locations may be slightly different.

  • HT203171 The two finger enlarging works sometimes and does not work other. What to do.

Two finger zoom in and out does not work most of the time. The two finger tap does work. Why does the two finger zoom not work. Checked settings and it is on.

It only works in some Apple applications.  For example, it works in Safari but not Firefox.

  • Two-finger scrolling in frames disabled in iOS 4.2.1?

Just upgraded iPhone 3GS phone to iOS 4.2.1, and have noticed that two-fingered scrolling within a frame has been disabled in Safari. The entire window scrolls and zooms with the content stuck on whatever initially loads within the frame. Is this a known issue?

Since updating to 4.2 I can also confirm I cam no longer use a two finger scroll on a pop up tab from within a secure website, to view a PDF file containing my pay slip. I can only see a portion of the document. In 4.1 I could use two fingers to view different sections of the page and scroll up/dowm on the selected portion. Apple Support told me there is a know issue...if anyone else has more info that would be great.

I have an iPhone 4 also.  If you are referring to the flyover view, its unavailble for the iPhone4.  If you want to rotate the map, hold two fingers on the map for 2-3 seconds and rotate them in opposite directions.

  • Two-finger pinch zoom not working with safari

Suddenly, the two-finger pinch to zoom is not working with Safari. MBP 13", SL 10.6.8 andf Safari 5.1. The View Menu Zoom control works fine, and the Pinch gesture works once thereafter, but then not. I have reloaded the Safari .plist. Gesture works with the Desktop icons and iPhoto. Any suggestions?
    TIA

    Ditto with the Newsstand-blocks-the-Home-Screen bug.
I was eager to see the revised New York Times layout and disappointed when Newsstand wouldn't pinch closed.
The irony is, we can finally "hide" the Newsstand in a folder but now it takes over our Home Screens. I'm hoping this will be fixed in the first update.

  • Two-finger swipe

Two finger swipe on trackpad with control key works fine for zooming screen, but it does not remain in force -- something turns it off, & I have to log out and back in to get it to work again. 10.7, 2.8GHz Intel Core i7, 8GB RAM.

    HI,
Go to ~/Library/Preferences and move this file com.apple.driver.AppleHIDMouse.plist to the Trash.
    Restart your iMac.
The update may have corrupted the Mouse preferences is all.
If that didn't help, you can re "pair" the mosue with your iMac.
    Open System Preferences/Bluetooth
Make sure the mouse is turned on. Select your mouse on the left then click the - button.
Then click the + which will prompt the Bluetooth Setup Assistant and you can re "pair" the mouse.
Hopefully that will help the "two finger swipe" issue.

So, I've seemed to solve this problem, in the interm at least.
    1) Open disk utility
    2) Select your HDD
    3) Click "Verify Disk Permissions"
    4) Click "Repair Disk Permissions" (assuming there was an issue)
    5) Once complete, restart your mac
These steps worked for myself, and I've been messing around with both chrome and safari and the two finger scroll hasn't broken yet.

  • Three Finger Zoom

Anyone here who's having problem with the iPod touch 5th Gen, 3 Finger Zoom?
Before, it does work but a certain point, it stopped recognizing the 3 finger zoom. For me to be able to use the said function, i have to reset all the settings of the iPod then it will be ok but give or take atleast 1 week, it will stop responding to the 3 finger zoom again then I have to reset all settings and it will be a forever cycle.
I also tried testing the three finger recognition in the game OSMOS wherein you have to tap your 3 fingers at the same time to go to the Game Menu when you are at gameplay. And my hunch was right, it does not respond to my 3 fingers.
I also checked the triple click home button function. The Zoom was the only one checked among the items. I tried it but it didn't zoom. I also used the Assistive Touch and still no response.
Do you think it's a hardware or software issue? Any advice will be highly appreciated. Thanks.

I have no sen that problem posted here before

  • Can I stop two-finger scroll from stopping playback in 3?

Does anyone know if it's possible for Soundtrack 3 NOT to stop playback whenever a two-finger scroll occurs, no matter how miniscule?
I'm afraid my habit of editing, developed under Soundtrack 2, involves almost constant two-finger scrolling. Making matters worse, I'm still adjusting to the no-button track pad on my new MacBook Pro, so I sometime leave my thumb where the button was on my old machine. Even a little move that doesn't even reposition the window stops playback. I actually thought that playback was randomly stopping, so I restarted twice before I realized what was happening.

    Same problem here.
Also, when horizontal scrolling with two fingers, the slightest inclination of the gesture up or down starts zooming in or out while moving. SInce zoom centers on the playhead, it keeps jumping back there at the same time. Very frustrating.
It is so bad that the interface feels better when I set scroll wheel to "Scrolls window content" in prefs. The drawback is that this makes my USB mouse's conventional scroll wheel do nothing, unless I am holding shift for horiz. scroll. And it still does not solve the problem that playback stops on any 2-finger scroll, even in the now disabled up-down direction.

  • Two finger scroll problem

Hello. Today i bought a MacBok Pro and i've got a problem with the gestures. Every single gesture is working fine (one, three, four fingers and two finger click) EXCEPT the two finger scroll. I just doesn't work at all. Can somebody help?

I have exactly the same problem on my Macbook. Even the other two-finger gestures like turning pictures around in iPhoto or zooming in are working - it´s ONLY the scrolling that doesn´t work EVER. This is a pity, as it´s the most useful gesture imho.
Anyone else having problems or any solutions in sight?
Thank you very much in advance.
Oh, and if it is useful for the solution: I´m also having the click&responsiveness trackpad problems that are causing so much trouble these days.
