Two glossaries possible in Robohelp 7?

Is it possible to have two true glossaries deployed and viewable in Robohelp 7? Optimally, I'd like to have a main tool bar that had the following structure:
Contents/Index/Glossary 1/Glossary 2/Search/
I've combed through the skinny on skins (thank you Robowizard!), but I think to accomplish what I want, I'd need to modify the file structure. Anyone successfully done this, or know if it's possible?

In RoboHelp 7 you are able to define a second glossary. That part's the easy part.
What will be difficult is to implement the second glossary. Certainly you may add a second button, but I'm thinking you will have serious issues getting it implemented. At least if you are using the RoboHelp supplied manner.
In this case I might suggest you simply create Glossary Topics. You would then be able to easily link the Toolbar button to the topics.

Why two "Define possible family members" config options?

There are two "Define possible familiy members" options when following this path:
IMG > Personnel Management > Personnel Administration > Personal Data > Family > Define possible family members.
I realize that when you click on the second one you're required to choose between the activities of "Infosubtype characteristic IT0021" or "...IT0138", but the IT0021 screen looks exactly the same as the first "Define possible..." link. The IT0138 screen looks slightly different. Can you explain what's going on? Is it better to change one "Define possible family members" link over the other?

(First One) with Object Identification Permited for subtype
Object identification permitted for subtype
Using the indicator all objid (Object identification allowed for subtype)you can control whether the field Object ID (Object identification) can be used for a subtype.
If the indicator all. objid is set, then the Object ID field can be used. In this case you can create data records with the same infotype, subtype, blocking indicator, validity start date and end date. These records are differentiated by their object identification.
If the indicator all. objid is not set, you cannot use the Object ID field.
Example
The indicator is set for the "child" subtype (2) in the Family/ Related Person (0021) infotype. In this case theObject ID relates to the child number. The child number relates to the number of children - in this way, records with different keys are generated.

One performance view for two classes, possible?

Hi there,
My system is still running 2007 R2. I am writing a MP now which contains two classes. There are few performance collection rules targeting those two classes. I want to create one performance view to display performance data for BOTH classes. Is it possible?
I already created an instance group and added both classes as member of the group. By using the group, I can created one alert view to display alerts from either class. Can I use the same trick for the performance view? Thanks!

In addition, we also can add a dashboard view with two columns for the two classes, and add performance widget for each column.

Double-Extended Network with two AX - Possible?

I am in a large apartment with lots of concrete walls. I use a Time Capsule (500G) connected to a cable modem to access the internet, and have two AX set up to extend the network twice. No. 1 is in a hall way and serves to extend the network into the living room. No. 2 is in the living room and serves as my iTunes connection to my stereo. I can stream wirelessly through No. 2 to the stereo, but my Internet connection (and presumably my streaming music) are routed through No. 1, even though I am sitting in front of No. 2.
Both AX are set on "Extend a wireless network" mode, and the network is on 5Ghz.
I have played with various settings on both AX, but cannot get my MBPro to connect to No. 2. Any thoughts? Can it be that two AX can not extend a network twice, serially?

Unless you have some unusual obstructions in place, your MBP should normally connect to the Express that it is closest to. Check your "extend" setup carefully as it is easy to make a mistake or forget a check mark on a configuration that can make all the difference.
In AirPort Utility > Manual Setup > Wireless tab, your TC must be setup to "create a wireless network" and there must be a check mark next to "Allow this network to be extended"
For the Express devices select the unit you want to check and use the same Manual Setup > Wireless tab to check the configuration of both units. Wireless mode should be "Extend a wireless network" and there must be a check mark next to "Allow wireless clients". AirTunes is active by default in the setup.
Check pages 43-44 on the AirPort Networks Guide...link is on the home page of the forum....for a step by step guide on setting up the "extend" feature.
Using your MBP, hold down the option key while you click the AirPort icon at the top of the screen and it will show you the MAC address of the device that you are connected to.
The important number in terms of bandwidth is Transmit Rate. You want it as high as possible. Experiment with a few different Radio Mode settings to determine what will give you the best Transmit Rate. It's possible that a 2.4 GHz setting may be better than a 5 GHz setting. It just depends on the construction of the home and number of obstructions in the signal path.

Dual Monitors w/ G5 - two users possible?

A question for those more knowledgeable than I about dual-monitor operation: Assuming I have a 2.0gHz G5 and two 23" DVI displays, can I run separate user accounts simultaneously on the same machine?
In other words, can the person across the desk from me use a separate monitor and keyboard connected to the same G5 and log in under another account while I'm working away under my account?

it's an interesting idea but I don't think it's possible. You can set up two user accounts and use fast user switching to switch between them, but I don't see how both accounts can be used simultaneously. For a start there's no way for the computer and OS to know which keyboard, mouse and monitor are being used by each user.

Are two credit cards from two countries possible on itunes?

We travel between USA and Switzerland and have an address in each country. Would it be possible to for example add my Swiss credit card and not lose my USA access? I understand that I may have to switch stores.

If you want to keep everything under one AppleID you could keep switching stores but you are only allowed to do that every 90 days. You have to use a US card when logged into the US Store, the Swiss card when using the CH Store.
I guess you could set up another AppleID and run a second country off that. People manage media when using multiple AppleIDs within a family and I guess it wouldn't be any more of a nuisance. I guess it depends upon how often you travel back and forth and balancing the hassle of changing countries vs. managing two AppleIDs. Strictly speaking, according to the terms of use you are only supposed to use a country's store when physically present in the country. In reality I have seen people say openly here they use their accounts from another country and long-term contributors here suggesting it and the posts were ignored by the Apple hosts (who normally take down anything in violation of Apple's terms of use) so go figure.

Two Ethernet-Two ISPs Possible?

Please, once and for all, enlighten me. I cannot seem to find a clear answer.
I have two ISPs with ethernet connection. I wish to use/switch between them.
Is this even possible?
Is there a way to switch between them internally (no cable pulling)?

To disable an interface:
In Network system preference (click the padlock at lower-left to unlock if needed) select the desired interface in the left column, click the gear icon at the bottom, select "Make Service Inactive), then click Apply (lower-right).
Instead of manually switching them on and off, you can leave them both on and use "Set Service Order" with the gear icon. It will then use the first interface. If that stops, it should then use the next one.

Syncing iTunes between two macs, possible?

Hi,
A feature I really miss is the possibility to sync my iTunes music between two computers.
For instance, If I buy one song on Mac1 it syncs with Mac2, with just a few mouseclicks or so.
Right now it can be quite chaotic to keep track of both libraries, and would be nice with a program or a feature that can update the libraries easy, not matter if i'm deleting songs, adding, changing location, and so on.
Is this possible some how?

Combination of two properties possible?

Hi folks,
I need a good idea to handle the following problem:
my Properties:
myName:ProjectName
myName:ProjectID
myName:NameArisExport
myName:URLToArisExport
I have no problem to create a folder with this properties! But it is not very nice to show the properties in the LayoutSet.
I have made column for every property in the Layoutset (Collection List Renderer Settings --> Displayed Properties).
The last to properties are the problem. I don´t want to have two properties like this myName:NameArisExport,myName:URLToArisExport
It would be better to show the property myName:NameArisExport but by clicking into the property the URL from the property myName:URLToArisExport should be open.
We are on EP 6 SP2 Patch 35!
Do I have a create a command instead of a property?
Can I do something with e.g. myName:NameArisExport(contentLinkCommand=myName:URLToArisExport)?
Any idea?

Hi Sybille,
in my opinion it is the best approach to write a Property Renderer no matter if you want to show the Property URLArisExport as link to another property or as an icon (with a link).
It should be no big implementation task.
BUT: I found out that there is really a modifier called "contentLinkCommand" (as you stated above) but I can not tell you if it's in SP2 Patch 35 and was not even able to use it in my version.
Maybe some colleague from KM development can supply some information here.

Two domains, two wikis possible ?

ok so I have two domains on the same server ;
setup domain1.com , created a wiki and went to server prefences, choosen the startup page to WIKI1 ( that wiki ) and everything works like a charm
then I setup domain2.com, create a wiki and want when I go to domain2.com, to have WIKI2 as default page for that domain.
how do I do that ? assign the startup page being a specific wiki for each domain ? virtualhosts are configured ok, everything works like a charm

Two small possible issues?

Hi All,
So last night I installed a new 500gb WD Scorpio Blue HD. I'm assuming I installed everything ok. Took me a moment to seat the drive, might not of screwed in one of the screws all the way.
Installed SL (retail disc, not up to date one). Install went flawless (even got a full 499gig out of the drive before the install .. wahoo). I had two minor problems though, and I'm wondering if I should worry or not.
First problem, I ran a sudo command to open up TextEdit to modify the /etc/hosts file. I saved it out and closed TextEdit, but it still remained open in the taskbar. I opened up a terminal and did a kill -15 on the process. Didn't seem to do that the second time, but could that just of been a SL quirk?
Second issue was when I plugged in my FW 800 enclosure, the OS didn't give me an error or anything but it didn't mount the drive at all. So I unplugged it and replugged it back in and mounted fine. Could I of just not plugged it in good the first round? (This drive I used perfectly in Leopard for Time Machine).
I might just be overly paranoid I'm sure, but figured I would ask the community

The Logitech mouse driver said there were no updates available so I figured the expose had something to do
with the new OS system since it now said expose and spaces, which Leopard never had spaces.
So what I did was figured out how to just set it up with the F keystroke and it worked!
When I link my Mac Book Pro to my tv, I use an external keyboard which is more up to date with the quick f keys up top and the arrangement is set up differently [ such as the volume keys are now f 10 and 11 instead of f 3 and 4 or something like that] Hopefully when my mbp is linked to this the keystroke I have set for expose still works. I believe it will.
And as for the desktop bg, after unplugging my tv I notcied it still stayed on the space theme. So I believe I know what may be the issue. I set that bg off of a picture on an external hd, and never saved the image on my computer hd. So I'm assuming it saved the desktop picture in some cache thing or something and once it got linked to an external monitor it got refreshed.
I now how that image on my computer and set, so hopefully the next time I link my computer to the tv, it'll stay.

1 Bluetooh Keyboard - Two Computers - Possible?

Hi,
I have two iMacs at the moment, and one bluetooth Keyboard which I would like to set up on the same "pairing" for both. Unfortunately the pairing seems to be limtied to one Mac @ a time.
Is there any way around this? I require both computers to do simultaneous keystrokes.

The keyboard bluetooth implementation is probably limited to one pairing at a time. Similar issues occurred with mobile phones, all but the latest versions of which could only pair with one device at any time.

It's not possible to add one more view instance to advanced table. At any point in time only one vo instance can be used.

Merging two glossaries

Hello,
I am working with two other colleagues on a collaborative book. We can get chapters, sections and pages to move over from one book to another. However, if we want to get glossary terms and hyperlink material to transfer it wont. I have read some of the older forum responses about this, but is there any new ways of going about this? We really need to figure some workaround.

IPod classic and iPod nano - two mediathek possible?

We had first an iPod nano, now we also have iPod classic. A iPod nano is too small for the hole mediathek of iPod classic - how can I make differences for the automatic "synchronizing"? For iPod classic I want to use the old mediathek too. And additional, how can I transfer mediathek to another place (path)?

I don't know if these work yet on the 120GB, but they do on my 80.
WinAmp and Media Monkey. If you can feel comfortable enough to move away from iTunes, try either of those. I recommend Media Monkey because it will scan your whole iTunes library and let you manually manage the files. Even if you have music not in the iTunes library, you can still add that to the iPod because MM will scan whatever folders you tell it to and add them to it's own library files, so you can then sync your iPod with music from any folder. Just be sure to check "force iTunes folder style" under player options, so the music shows and plays on your iPod correctly. I didn't use enough of WinAmp with my iPod to recommend it(I only use it for it's great LAME MP3 encoder), but it does have iPod plug-ins to sync your iPod and should scan your music files also.
HOWEVER, you may still need to install iTunes 8 in case you need to restore the iPod. I always keep iTunes installed just in case.
