Two Id's for game center

i share the same apple I'd with my wife so we can use the same paid for APPS. in game center, she established her nickname associated with the apple Id. I would like to create my own game center Id. can I do so whilst still using the same apple Id? it didnt seem like I could when I tried creating a new Id because it looked like it would invalidate our main id, so I cancelled out

I apologize, I'm a bit unclear on exactly what you are asking. If you are talking about changing to or using a different Apple ID in Game Center, you may find the following article helpful:
Sign in to your Game Center account using your Apple ID. If you don't have an Apple ID or another Apple account, tap or click Create New Account to create an account to use with Game Center.
You can change the account you are signed into by:
iOS: Tap Settings > Game Center.
OS X: Click the Me tab in the Game Center app and click on your Account.

I signed up for Games Center. How to un-sign and get my credit card info removed?

OK. I'm an idiot (with an IPad2).
I don't want to play games with other people but there was a chess board among the images for Games Center so I thought there was a chess program I could check out.
So now there is no point in me taking any risks and having my credit card info associated with Games Center, so how to I reverse my sign-up for games center and get my credit card info deleted?
I can't even find a way to edit the credit card info - and if I could I suppose they wouldn't accept a link to an incorrect number ...

Having trouble making account for game center.

I've already made an apple ID but when I entered it on my new phone's game center, I got past the whole birthday thing but the next bit where it says to make a username when I press done it says that I haven't put in a password. I scrolled down but there is no where to put a password. Please help me cause I don't know how to do it. My old iPhone was an iPhone 3G so I didn't have game center.

That's because you scanned them as B/W photos and iPhoto 08 doesn't support the grayscale color profile. You can either rescan them as color photos or export them as originals out of iPhoto to a folder on the desktop and applhy this Automator application, Convert to JPG and Embed sRGB Profile, on them and then remimport into iPhoto. You can download it from Toad's Cellar . Be sure to read the warning on the website about not applying it on your only copies.

Is there any way to edit my settings for game center? I want to hide my real name so that people with only see my username and perhaps alter the default message for friend requests so I don't have to change it manually every time.

Try:

I registered for game center and must have typed in the wrong address because I did not receive a verification email. Can I get a verification email sent to my right address or is there a time period for a non verified nickname to expire. I don't want to lose my nickname.

On each of the phones you're gonna use a new Apple ID for iCloud: turn off Contacts, Calendars, etc. for iCloud. You'll be prompted to keep the data or delete it from the phone, then turn off iMessage, FaceTime & delete the iCloud account...Settings>iCloud...scroll down...delete account. Then, setup iCloud using the new Apple ID, turn on iMessage & Facetime.
This will have no affect on the ID you share for iTunes content, & you can continue to do so.

Looking for game center games to play ipad vs. ipod touch

After trying a number of games that simply do not work as advertised via gamecenter, I am looking for suggestions for some games that can be played between an iPad (me) and and iPod touch (4th gen) used by a kid.
Anyone have any that work well?

game center is the first half baked item i have seen come from Apple.
After downloading $15+ of games that are supposedly game center ready to play others, 1 of them works and that does not work between the iPad and iPod.
Something is not right with this and Apple ought to make sure the descriptions in the store are accurate. I am done spending money to be beta tester for something that should simply work.

Currently my Game Center account password is my Apple ID password. You can't recover the password. If you could, I could have as well and the whole purpose of encryption would be moot. This is why it is a good practice to save the original PDF before you secure it.
If the password that you created was a really strong one (other than word 'password' or some other word) I doubt that the password recovery programs would do the work. They are usually good only for fairly simple passwords.
Acrobat X added new way of encryption that is almost impossible to crack and Acrobat XI added the password strength indicator which tells you how good the password that you're entering is.

Don't know email, password, or birthday for Game Center ID; how do I sign in?

I created a gamecenter ID a long time ago separate from my Apple ID. I don't remember creating an email or birthday or anything, just a password, which I wrote down. Now when I try to view my account, that password doesn't work.
I tried iForgot, but I have to put either my email or answer the questions. The email doesn't work - I tried using the one for my regular Apple ID, and didn't get anything. And I don't know if I have an email associated with the GameCenter ID, or the password to get to it.
The security questions don't work either because it starts out with my birthday and nothing I tried works, including my real birthday, of course.
I guess it's unreasonable to try and get back my account without knowing the password, email, security questions, or anything except the username...but...uh...any suggestions?

All Gamecenter IDs are tied to an Apple ID, as noted here:
