Two Identical Devices. Flash Works on One, Not The Other. Suggestions?

I have two Windows 8.1 with Bing tablets in my household. They're both running IE11 version 11.00.9600.
They are both just two weeks old!
Unfortunately, one of them was infected with adware and browser help objects but as far as I am aware is now clean. Both Windows Malicious Software Removal tool and Spybot have run full scans and find nothing. I'm no longer seeing pop-ups or any adverts in the browser.
Just to be sure, after running the scans, I also reset IE to its default settings through Internet Options --> Advanced --> Reset.
The Flash player version is 16.0.0.235.
When I "Manage AddOns", shockwave is installed and enabled.
In "Safety", ActiveX filtering is OFF.
As far as I can see, all other settings on both devices are identical.
However, on the previously infected device, no matter what, when I try to play a flash video I am informed that Flash player needs to be installed. Adobe's help for Flash tells me that the player is Disabled. All the settings\options I can see are telling me it is both installed AND enabled. The second device streams from the same website (BBC iPlayer) perfectly.
I'm assuming that there must be a registry setting somewhere that is not being reset no matter how many times I change the settings in IE and/or restart the device. I would love if someone could offer some advice that could fix this anomalous behaviour as it is now officially driving me mad!

Try this fix
Basically, just run a terminal command to force the recreation of "com.apple.xpchelper.cache":
sudo /usr/libexec/xpchelper --rebuild-cache

I have 2 Apple ids and two corresponding iCloud accounts. My five Apple devices are linked to one or the other. As one consequence a small number of my contacts are associated with one iCloud account, the majority with the other. How can I merge?

For reasons not entirely clear to me I have ended up with two Apple ids, two iCloud accounts and my Apple devices being associated with one or the other iCloud account/Apple id. One of the complications is that my contacts are partially owned by one iCloud account, partially by the other.
Is there any way to
- merge the contacts (I have tried exporting from one and importing into the other but one set will overwrite the other)?
- migrate all devices to one single iCloud account without being locked out for 3 months?
- merge Apple ids or just delete one of them without locking out devices?
Grateful for any suggestions because this is turning into a headache.

You can merge the contacts from one account with your other one without overwriting them. Sign into the first account, download them as vCard (iCloud: Export contact information as a vCard), email them to a device signed into the account you want to merge them with, tap the vCard and choose Add..., then Create New Contacts.
You can also migrate a copy of the data in one account and merge it with the other by signing into the account you are leaving, then signing out (or deleting the account if not running iOS 8), then choosing Keep on My iDevice when prompted. Then sign into the other account and choose Merge when prompted. This won't move Notes however. If you are syncing notes that you want to migrate from the other account, you can temporarily add the account to your Mac as a secondary account by going to System Preferences>Internet Accounts (or Mail,Contacts,Calendars)>Add Account>iCloud and signing in with the other account ID. Then enable notes syncing in the secondary account. You will then be able to open the notes app and drag and drop notes from one account to the other. When you're done, delete the secondary account from your Mac.
You can't merge IDs as Apple does not allow it. Also, you won't be locked out of anything for 3 months. The "90-day switch" rule only applies to changing your iTunes store account, not your iCloud account. Just leave your iTunes store account as-is. The ID you use for the iTunes store does not have to be the same as the ID you use for iCloud.

Run two different Tcodes "KKS2" then "KO88" one after the other

I want to run two different Tcodes "KKS2" then "KO88" one after the other. The variance is calculated using Tcode KKS2, after the successful calculation of variance the KO88 Tcode needs to be run for the settlement of materials.
How do I run both the Tcodes in a single program using BDC. The customer needs a Tcode for this and a selection screen for production order number as input.
Shall I use session bdc or call transaction?
I also want to display errors of the both the Tcodes in a single log.

For uploading datas for Two transaction using a single program u have to go for Batch input session . Its not feasible with call transaction . Create a session using open_session and then with in it you have to manipulate screen number and screen fields for each of them and you have to ues two insert statement . Try using commit and wait after first insert of the Transaction . And then go for the second .And then use bdc_close_session to close the session.So that only one session will be created for both transaction . You could easily get the screen field name and number by creating two call transaction program and copy from them .

Problem: Cable Modem only give access to one, not the other

I have been having a big problem with my internet connection. I have a Motorola SURFboard cable modem and an AirPort Extreme. From my cable modem I connect to my desktop computer with a USB cable. From my cable modem to my AirPort Extreme with an ethernet cable. For some reason all the appropriate lights are on the modem but only my AirPort Extreme connects thus allowing only my laptop to receive internet connection. I've everything I could think of. Does anyone here happen to know the problem?

Yes, the Motorola SURFboard modem does NOT support simultaneously connecting devices to both its Ethernet and USB ports. You will have to choose one or the other for Internet access.

External Harddisk dont work from one to the other day

i dont really know where to post this topic, i also dont know where the problem is, maybe some helpful tips would help.
I purchased with my new MBA an external hd, the lacie P9223, as expected i just plugged in to the usb port and all worked fine, i loaded all my music, fotos vids etc on the external drive, worked for several weeks without any issue, then today i plugged in the lacie again and the volume was not showed, the strange is in "about this mac" in the register Harddisks is not shown but in the system protocoll its in. i tried to download the mac driver from the lacie homepage, without any result, all other "toys" i plug into the usb are working fine.
i guess its lacie's problem, right? did anybody had a simmilar issue that a working external hd after a while did not worked anymore, without any updated or something else?
if somebody can advise me i would be very thankful

Check in disk utility to see if it shows up there. If it does, then you would have the option to repair the disk if it has an issue with showing up on you MacBook Air.

Splitter Chooses One or the Other

Hello! Sorry in advance if I use the wrong lingo. Hopefully everything makes sense! So my family recently decided to expand dvr/cable onto our second floor where we have a nice new TV. We have DVR downstairs and got a box on the second floor that allows us to access that DVR. Everything works well and good with the only cord coming out of the box besides the power cord being the coax cable that comes from the wall. However, while the Wi-Fi works in some rooms on the second floor, others it goes at a snails pace if it even works at all. To solve this, we got a wireless extender from verizon and, when plugged straight into the coax cable that comes from the wall the improvement is tremendous. We get about 50 mbps download speed in rooms we only got 10 before. Needless to say, we want to have the network extended working on the second floor. However, when using the provided splitter in order to access cable/dvr capabilities and the wireless extender, the splitter only works on one or the other. That is, when we plug the coax cable from the wall into the IN port on the splitter, if we plug a coax cord from cable box into the splitter before the extender, we get cable and dvr/guide features but no extended wireless, and if we plug the extender in before the box we get the extended internet signal but no dvr/guide features on the cable. This is really frustrating because at present we would have to abandon the splitter and switch coax plugs everytime we want to use internet in one of the hard to reach rooms and hope no one wants to use the DVR/cable at the same time. For some more information, our splitter is a MoCA 2.0 2-way splitter (PDI-2wwb-2.0/5-1675 Mhz) and our wireless extender is an actiontec WCB3000N. In summary, we are using a splitter currently on our second floor to allow a 2nd verizon cable box and a wireless extender to operate simultaneously, but at present when they are both connected only one or the other is connected to the network. I am assuming this may be a problem with our splitter, but from what I've read it sounds like the one we have (named above) should be bidrectional. Can anyone please help? Thank you!

Hi and thanks a lot for your message! I went through the box system information like you suggested, and the pictures below are a sample of what came up when I tried your methods. I did end up powering off router, extender, stb and turning on as you suggested with no luck (even after waiting a loooooong time before plugging the next one in!) Below is what came up when I plugged straight from wall coax to box (first picture), from coax wall to splitter to cable box, with extender coax also plugged into splitter and turned on after the cable box (second picture), and if the extender is plugged in first, then the cable box (third picture). Hopefully these photos shed some light on the situation. What's important to note is that I followed every step of your instructions in terms of plugging the coaxes in one-by-one. However, despite refreshing everytime, the screen generally looked like picture 1, with minor variations in the TxRate (plus one or two occassionally) aka there didn't seem to be much difference between the connections. The only significant change I noticed upon plugging the extender in was the EMM data became False, but I am not sure what that even means. Also, after extender was plugged in first and the stb second, it wouldn't even allow me to access the system information Info screen because of no data connectivity. It would just show the small box (picture 3) and ask if I wanted to troubleshoot connectivity issues. (troubleshooting was no help) Please let me know if these pictures can help make sense of this! More than likely its a hardware issue, I have never encountered such a problem and best bet is to just go get it replaced. If you have insurance on your device apple will replace it as long as there was no water damage, if you dont have insurance they will charge $200 more or less. Hope you get it fixed

2 identical iPhones-Airprint works one, but not the other?!

My husband and I both have iPhone 4S 32GB. We're using an HP Photosmart 6510 which is both ePrint & Airprint ready. Here's the problem:
I can print via ePrint or Airprint, but my husband's phone will ONLY do ePrint. I don't get it! We have the printer and both iPhones on the same wireless network. He even gets a message that his print job is sending/printing, but nothing prints. I can Airprint the same file from the same e-mail and it works fine. HP is useless...they just keep telling me to reboot the phone and/or reboot the printer. This fixes the problem initially, but a day or two later, the same thing happens. it's very frustrating and I'd really like a permanent fix for this.

Two Apple TVs. One going, the other not. Why?

I have 2 Apple TVs. One 720 the other 1080. The 720 is working fine and will operate at either TV.
The 1080 will not work at either TV.
I go to set it up and I get all the screens including passwords, itunes account etc, but cannot get on to my network.
The DNS.Router, Password etc settings are identical on both Apple TVs.
I tried all avenues using my wi fi connected to my Apple TVs, to no avail.
Trouble shooting from Apple and from Forums I have followed all the advice.
Currently I am downloading as per instructions from my Mac Book Pro via micro USB.
It has been running for two hours or more, still shows another 13 hours to run. BTW I do have ADSL 2 Broadband which is usually quite fast for anything else to download.
Several times I have done this as after several hours it pops up the message "Cannot Contact Server at this time".
So I start again.
Also going through the check list from the iTunes Help on the tool bar, I am getting a message "Take to Apple for Service".
My guess is that the Apple TV is faulty and needs to be either replaced or serviced.
Alhough I do not know how this could be done as it seems to be a solid "puck" like device and completly sealed.
My 720 Apple TV has been performing without fault since new, I can upgrade my iTunes each time a new one comes out (the latest one is installed) or a new IOS from Apple is installed (currently IOS 10.8.2 Mountin Lion).
Apple TV is a great add on for my computer and home entertainment, but I am sick of wasting my time trying to work through this glitch...

I have added a new email address but kept my Id, but I get busy when trying from iPhone to iPad as they are clashing. Like find my iPhone app hence trying to keep them all on one account

Mac mini server has suddenly stopped seeing one or the other bluetooth devices! Batteries have been changed and they will connect to an older Mac mini. Server will now only see one or the other but not both.

My Mac mini server has suddenly stopped seeing one or the other bluetooth devices, either the wireless keyboard or the mouse( both apple products) have tried new batteries, at first it was the mouse that stopped responding, but upon rebooting the computer now the keyboard will not respond and the mouse works. Both work fine on an older Mac mini that I hooked back up to check.

There is absolutely no reason why they should not bothe be able to connect to your WiFi network. The easiest place to start would be to reboot your router. Unplug it for about 30 seconds and then plug it back in again. I would also restart both the iPad and the iPhone.

Airdrop works one way but not the other?

There are two Macbook Airs in my house, both new models (one 13" the other 11"). Airdrop appears to work from the 13" to the 11" but not the other way around. The error message in the console is:

I've tried logging in to another (new, clean) user profile to see if there was some kind of conflict going on, but that didn't make a difference.

It's the firewall settings. It seems like a bug, because in the firewall I had Finder set to allow all incoming connections.
Do the following:
- System Preferences, Security, Firewall, Advanced settings
- Remove the entry for Finder by selecting it and press the minus button
- Check allow signed software
- Uncheck block all
It's working for me now.

I bought a 5th Gen Touch. I use iTunes 12 on two computers. One computer allows me to drag and drop. The other does not.The one that allows it has problems. Any idea as to why I can drag and drop on one and not the other. Both are authorized.

I first connected the Touch to my desktop and it allows me to drag and drop mp3 files from my old Classic, which is backed up to a directory. Unfortunately, that computer has gone down before I got a chance to fill the Touch. I have the files on another computer but when I connect the Touch to it, it doesn't allow me to drag and drop the files. I have iCloud set on both systems and I have manual management check marked. I'm not understanding why it allows drag and drop on one PC and not the other when they are both set the same way. My question? What do I need to do to be able to drag and drop in iTunes 12? I didn't do anything special on the computer that allows it so I am at a loss.
