Two Images w/no dead space

I have two images that connect to each other with no space in
between!
The top/right is located
here
The bottom/left is located
here
In dreamweaver, when i insert pictures, there's a huge gap in
between them. I want it to look like they are both connected
together.

  • There is a dead space about two inches high all the way across the top third of my page. I can't click on anything in this space.

    In this dead space, my cursor will not go from the arrow to a finger, so I can click on stuff. If I try to click anyway it minimizes my page. It works perfectly on the rest of the page, just not in this area. It is this way on every single site. Internet Explorer works fine, but I do not like Internet Explorer. I have run all the updates. I would appreciate you fixing this problem, so that I can continue my usage of your browser.

  • Loupe view caching- not even two images?

    Is there a way to adjust how many previews are kept in RAM for the loupe?
    I've found that most of the time I can't even bounce between two images without waiting for several seconds for the image in the loupe to appear. This is on a first-generation macbook pro with 2GB of ram, no other open applications, and 20GB of disk space free (and just defragmented.) The preview quality slider is set to the middle position. I shoot exclusively in RAW and upgraded recently from a 10D to a 40D; I'm guessing that Aperture only allocates a fixed amount of memory to storing previously viewed images, and the larger 40D images are too big for the default settings.
    Sometimes I can go through three images without seeing the "loading" prompt; other times, I hit the arrow keys back and forth between two images, not even moving the mouse to compare two shots, and see "Loading..." for long enough that I can't make a visual comparison between the two images for finer detail. In one word: useless.
    Is this a restriction of VRAM? System memory? Graphics processor in the original MBP? Pure "policy" in software, ie, "we will use 40MB of memory to cache previews"? Anything that can be changed via 'defaults'?

    Janet,
    The loupe is "smooth" panning around the image (except after more than 1-2 adjustments are applied, then it rapidly deteriorates.) The issue is switching between two photos rapidly to compare details such as "who's looking which way" and "what is in focus." I can sit for 20 seconds or more flipping between two images next to each other in the strip, and each time "Loading..." will appear and the loupe will be blank.
    I just tested it on a Core2 MBP (2.3ghz, 2GB), and received different behavior. The "loading" delay happens once or maybe twice, then I can repeatedly swap between two images with no "Loading", but two is the limit- seeking to a third causes the first image to drop out of the 'cache'. The newer system has only about ten photos in it; the older system has almost 20GB of 10D images and another ~2-3GB of 40D images. I'm not entirely sure how valid the comparison is, then.
    Both systems have 256MB of VRAM, and both are the Radeon X1600 (which is curious- I expected the Core2 machine to have a newer card. I guess it's one of the very early Core2 machines. I wonder if they simply bumped up the clock speed- the original MBP's X1600 was intentionally downgraded by Apple in clockspeed.)
    I'm not using sRGB space- I shoot everything raw and have always set my cameras for Adobe RGB. I'm not a new user of Aperture, so I'm aware of thumbnail/preview building etc. I've tinkered with it on other people's machines since v1. I've never witnessed an Aperture crash, but I've only played maybe once or twice a month.
    I've also noticed the quality of display in the main viewer window to be exceptionally poor with images from the 40D; it seems very fuzzy, and almost like it's up-sampled from a low resolution version. Sharp edges are very oddly (and poorly) aliased; almost like Aperture is using the preview image from the camera, instead of building its own.
    Another thing: sharpness on exported JPEGs, both full size and scaled down,seems downright lousy. Odd...a couple of versions ago, they were too sharp, it seemed.

  • TS1702 When i purchased the APP dead space it got like 1/4 of the installing it then a window popped up saying the app can't be downloaded at this time has happened with another app aswell can anyone help me ?

    everytime i try installing big app like FIFA and DEAD SPACE it get half way through installing then a window pops u saying cannot download this app at this time can anyone help?

    I suggest trying the update again after an hour or two.  Sometimes, the notice that an update is available comes an hour or two before the developers actually sends the revised app out to be downloaded.

  • Preowned Dead Space 3 & Crysis 3

    Every week there are certain pre-owned games that are put on sale.  However for some reason Dead Space 3 and Crysis 3 were jacked back up today to $34.99 (they were $22.99 yesterday).  What is the deal with that?  Those sales are always for the whole week.  Also, these sales are never reflected in store.  I always have to have them pricematched and its a headache to try and get the 10% gamer club discount on top of that which I am entitled to.  It shouldn't be that hard to program the registers properly.  Often employees tell me I can't get the 10% saying its double dipping.  Its not double dipping, the registers are not programmed the way they should be.  Can't someone fix that so it rings properly without having to jump through hoops?  I always have to order online to get the price I should and I run the risk of getting the game without artwork when I do that.

    Hello neil1115-
    I can certainly understand your frustrations about the issues with these two pre-owned games changing prices and the issues you have had with price matching.  I am hoping that I can clear some of these up for you.
    While most of our sale prices do run from Sunday to Saturday, prices can change at any time.  Usually a pre-owned game price will change based on what the new version is going for at the time.  However, we cannot discuss our pricing strategies.
    First and foremost, these pre-owned offers are made to draw traffic to BestBuy.com.  They have more selection than your average store and are better able to fulfill most orders.  We have many products on BestBuy.com that are on sale on the website, but not in the store, which is why we price match.
    I am sorry to hear about the hoops that you have to jump through to get a price match as well as your Gamers Club discount, which should definitely not be happening.
    I hope that this helps but if you have any further questions, please feel free to post here.

  • Dead space showing up in print preview; can't place objects in it

    hi -- Somehow, I've managed to get what I'll call a "dead space" in between my last page footer and my report footer. The design view looks completely normal: page footer A, page footer B, and report footer. None are suppressed.
    However, when I go to the print preview, what I have is: page footer A, page footer B, a dead space, and then the report footer. The dead space looks like a section, in that the far left of the preview shows lines (like section dividers) both above and below the dead space. However, when I right click on the dead space, I don't get a Section Menu; I also don't get a section name when the mouse hovers over that dead space.  I can't place objects in the dead space.
    It wouldn't be a huge deal except for the fact that the report is long enough that the dead space causes it to overflow onto a second page, which isn't acceptable.
    How can I get rid of this thing? I really don't want to recreate the report. It's quite complex.
    Thanks,
    Carol

    Hi Carol,
    That's interesting.  I've never heard of this rogue spacing issue.
    Why don't you try insertting the following in the Page Footer B Suppress formula.
    Not OnLastRecord
    Maybe that will help.

  • How do I use the move tool in CS5 to put two images on to an A4 sheet?

    Have recently upgraded from CS3 to CS5.
    I often print out two images on A4 paper.  Under CS3 I would simply adjust and crop 2 images to say 7 ins x 5 ins, after that bring up a new A4 sized sheet (file, new), then using the move tool I'd move the two separate images on to the A4 sheet and print.  Fine!
    Now under CS5, once I've adjusted my first image then try to bring up a second image to adjust that one I seem to lose the first one from the screen.  But on going back via Bridge and clicking on the image it re-appears - problem is, I lose the second image.
    When I bring up a new A4 sheet neither of the images stay on the screen and there is nothing to move.
    Have been into Preferences to see if there is anything there to help but can't see anything.
    Does anyone know what is happening here and what I'm doing wrong i.e. how do I get 2 separate images on to an A4 sheet?
    Thanks,
    Bob Eveleigh.

    There have been changes since cs3, mainly that cs5 uses tabs.
    Tabs can be confusing if your coming from cs3.
    If your in the tabbed mode, try going to Window>Arrange>Tile.
    All your open documents should be visible on the screen.

  • Two images at the same time

    Hi!
    I'm new into FCE and I would like to ask for some help. Can I work with two images at the same time? I mean, Can I superimpose two images to make one? How can I do it?
    Maybe this is something easy, but I'm just starting,
    thanks in advance for your answers

    Yes, you can. You can put one clip on top of the other in the timeline. You can make both clips visible by reducing the opposite of the clip or top, or by scaling back the clips so they are smaller. You can reduce the opacity and scale of the clips in the viewer by opening the clips from the timeline into the viewer. You can also scale the images directly in the canvas when it is in Image+Wireframe mode.

  • How to combine two images in preview onto one page

    Sorry if this topic doesn't go here - there wasn't a "preview" category.
    I have two images that i want to print out on the same page and right now they are each on a separate page in the same file in preview. Does anyone know how I can combine them onto one page?
    Thanks

    Hi -
    I load two images in Preview and select them.
    !http://www.spotsbeforeyoureyes.com/Preview1.jpg!
    Then I select Print Selected Images:
    !http://www.spotsbeforeyoureyes.com/Preview2.jpg!
    When the print dialog box opens, I select Images per Page:2

  • IO - Read two image files and put them into one file

    Hi,
    i have 3 files in all. The two image files and one text file. I need to place the image in the first image file, followed by text in the text file and then the image in the second image file, into one file.
    Can anyone tell me how do i go about doing this ?
    i tried using fileinputstream and fileoutputstream, which works fine if all the 3 files have text but when the first and the third file have image, the code doesn't give any error but the result file displays only the image from the first file and nothing else.
    i am running short of time and need to do this really soon.
    if anyone has done anything like this. please let me know,
    thanx,
    poonam

    One approach would be to programmatcally create a single zip/jar file from the three input files. You can use the java.util.zip and java.util.jar packages for this purpose.
    The other apprach would be to create a single image by drawing images and text strings on a BufferedImage object.
    I think the first approach is preferable because you can easily extract the individual files from the zip/jar file

  • Two images on a page, want to number each image.  How?

    Page layout with two images on a page, other pages have one image.  I want to have a number associated with each image.  I tried page numbering to no avail.  How do I have a sequence number for each image?
    I further complicate this; I will make many documents, each document will have about five pages, as I progress, I want the photo numbers to function likek page numbers, across all the documents.
    How do I accomplish this?
    Rob

    Thank you, I am closer to the solution after following your instructions. On the Master pages (Two page spread), I made a text frame adjacent to each of two frames for the images (There will be two images on each document page, thus two frames on each Master Page).  They are threaded together and I verified this by View > Show Text Threads.
    Since I am not getting the right result, I must have done something wrong.  I made numbered List using Paragrach Styles.  I could not find "text attribubutes" so I am probably not doing this right.  Please note that I have spent 7 hours on this so far, so I am making an effort.
    It seems reasonable that this should be done on a Master layout, is this right?  So far, the text frame number flow from 1 to 4 across the the Master Page spread.  Thus the first two pages are correct.  However, when page is added based on the Master it repeats the same flow: 1 though 4.  I expect this because that's what the Master shows,  However, I want the numbers to continue as I add photos to additional pages.
    Thank you for any additional information you are willing to provide.

  • Re: How to Join two images

    Do you want to side by side the images so one is on the left and the other on the right? If so just make them the appropriate size and copy them to the correct locations.
    If you want to overlay on onto the other then xor them.

    i have tried following code but it gives me image of 2 strips
    public static void joinImage()throws Exception{
              //loads two images with ImageIO
              //for testing purpose both header and content image are same
              BufferedImage imageHeader=ImageIO.read(new File("/home/g.pol/images/DSC04249.JPG"));
              System.out.println(""+imageHeader.getHeight()+" "+imageHeader.getWidth());
         BufferedImage imageContent=ImageIO.read(new File("/home/g.pol/images/DSC04249.JPG"));
         //create new BufferedImage instance of same width and height as that of merging images
         BufferedImage resultantImage=new BufferedImage(imageHeader.getWidth(),imageHeader.getHeight()*2,BufferedImage.TYPE_INT_ARGB);
         //get graphichs of resultant image
         Graphics resultantGraphics=resultantImage.getGraphics();
         //draw image on graphics with width is same as that of test images but height 1/2 of test image
         resultantGraphics.drawImage(imageHeader,0,0,null);
         resultantGraphics.drawImage(imageContent,0,50,null);
         ImageIO.write(resultantImage,"jpg",new File("/home/g.pol/images/result.JPG"));
         System.out.println("success");
         }

  • Is it possible to paste two images into one layer?

    I'm having some issues pasting two images into one layer. Every time I paste the second image, it automatically creates a new layer...is there anyway to prevent that from happening? I'm making an animation on photoshop and I want there to be more than image in some of the frames. Please let me know if you have any suggestions! Thanks!

    You can merge the two layers together once they're position. Select the top layer and choose merge down or select both and choose merge layers (from the layers menu).

  • Recommended distortion method for matching two images

    I have two images of North America as separate layers that I'm trying to line up as closely as possible. One is a color image of the earth's surface while the other is a grayscale image representing the topography of the terrain. There are many obvious visual features in the images to use for matching, but I'm not sure what is the best tool or workflow for distorting, scaling, skewing, etc. I have previously been using "Warp," but while I can line up certain areas easily, other areas appear quite difficult to line up. I'm wishing there was a way to define "features" that I want matched up and then let Photoshop do an automated process, but I think that may be asking a little much. Because the images may have been taken from different angles, it's not just a simple non-proportional scale problem. Some areas need to be squished while other areas need to be stretched. Any suggestions?

    If the two maps are from different sources or different times, or have been created using different map projections, or if the two maps have different levels of accuracy, you may not be able to get a perfect match-up.

  • Dead Space on left and right side

    Is there any way to get rid of the dead space on the left and right hand sides? Thanks.

    Hi there,
    you can't completely get rid of the dead-space on the left and on the right. But you can increase the content width thus reducing the dead space.
    Select the page in iWeb, Open the Inspector, Go to the Page tab (second from the left) and select Layout, increase the number displaying under Content width (everything up to 950 should be alright but note that for some templates it doesn't work so good 'cause they weren't built to be increased... I hope they change that somewhen...)

    Cédric
