Two installs per license - pc and mac?

If I buy the Windows download version from Adobe or Amazon, will that product key activate the second install on a Mac? I assume I'd have to download the trial version for Mac, but Adobe's trial versions can be activated with a valid product key, right?
Will the same scenario work for a Windows upgrade download purchase (I have PSE 7 for Windows).
Any difference if I buy the box/cd version?

If you buy Windows download from Adobe.com, you will only be able to activate the second license on Windows, not on Mac.
You can always download the trial version for mac, but the same product key won't work there.
If you want to buy the cross-platform version, go to your nearest store, and buy the boxed version. You will just need to enter your serial number in your already installed trial build, and PSE will be activated on both Win and Mac.

The EULA allows you to install Acrobat on one device. There are two exceptions:
If you are the only user of Acrobat on your work computer, you can also install it on your home computer, as long as you are again, the only user of Acrobat on that 2nd system
If you are the only user of Acrobat on your desktop system, you can also install it on your laptop, as long as you are again, the only user of Acrobat on that 2nd system.
In both cases, you cannot use both versions at the same time.

You need multiple profiles rather than multiple installations of Thunderbird. Even if you copy and rename a second instance of Thunderbird so that you have two distinct Thunderbirds, they will both refer to the same default profile location.
Personally I run private and work accounts all in the same instance of Thunderbird. I think most people who run multiple profiles are unnecessarily making life hard for themselves. I'd be curious to see the wording of any rules that you interpret as necessitating separate profiles.
You can set Thunderbird to run with a named profile, so you can set up two shortcuts/links/batches/scripts each of which invoke Thunderbird with a specific profile. You ''can'' use Thunderbird's own profile manager to select a profile but it's a bit clunky for routine use. Use it to create a second profile, then set up scripts or whatever to launch your two separate instances.

All Installations Fail, 3rd party and Mac

Whenever I try doing an installation, it will seem like the installation is successful until the very last moment when I get the following message. I have recieved this error on 3rd party applications and while trying to download OSX 10.8.5.
Any idea what the issue is?

You're allowed a maximum of two activations per license. So you can install them on Mac/Mac, Win/Win or Mac/Win.

If you don't have the Mac files with the disc you can probably still download the installation files and use your serial number from the purchase to activate. Here is a link to CS6 downloads:

You should check with Adobe support regarding getting the disc copy of the files if that is what you purchased, unless they know something that would result in the files already being in your possession thru that disc somehow.

Symptom
RD License server is a key component of RDS. It licenses users to access RDS servers.
After purchase the required RDS CALs, we need to activate the RDS License server and install the purchased RDS CALs. However, during the installation or after installation, we may face errors
about RDS License.
In most cases, the following error may occur.
Error:
The Remote Desktop Session Host server is in Per User licensing mode and No Redirector Mode, but license server "Server name" does not have any installed licenses with the following
attributes:
Product version: Windows Server 2012
Licensing mode: Per User
License type: RDS CALs
Troubleshooting
1. Check whether the RD License Configuration is configured properly and there are no Warnings in the Event.
2. The License Server should be part of 'RD Server License' group in Active Directory Domain Services.
3. Check if the Licensing Mode is correct.
- To change the Licensing Mode we can use RD Licensing diagnose, PowerShell cmdlet and Group Policy.

You need to uninstall Remote desktop session host feature. After removing it, you will default two connections which does not need to purchase RD CALs'.

How much does it cost for a site license for Final Cut Pro X and Mac Caption? I need to have one computer going for production and one for training someone. Is there 501C-3 pricing available?

FCP X can be used on as many Macs as you own. Be sure each is logged in to your iTunes/App Store account. So for two Macs that you own, you can download to both, only pay for one.
There is a bulk license deal for it, but you'd need to be running 10+ Macs before you'd get any discount or anything.
Mac Caption is an issue you'll have to take up with them.

Licensing Acrobat Pro Mac and Windows on same Mac

I have a large number Macs in our business running Creative Suite 6. A number of those operators also have a need to run LiveCycle Designer, which is a Windows only product. At present we buy addtional 4 GB RAM, VMWare Fusion and a Windows 7 licence in addition to purchasing a standalone copy of Acrobat for Windows. Is it really necessary for us to buy an additional licence for Windows Acrobat or would we be OK utilising the existing Mac Acrobat Pro licence?

If you're buying the perpetual license version of Creative Suite 6, you would have to buy separate licenses for Macintosh and Windows versions. If you're getting Creative Suite 6 through your subscription to the Adobe Creative Cloud, you can mix your two eligible copies, and download both Windows and Mac versions.

I purchased adobe cs3 primium but i already had photoshop installed. I installed cs3 primium and now i keep getting the error that the licensing has stopped working can't use file cont IT or cust. support. I tried to download the clean file and it gives me the same error to open this file. i tried to uninstall with control panel programs and uninstall and it gives me the error uninstall not complete. I tried to repair with disc and uninstall with the disc and nothing is working. I have windows vista with 100g hd 500 mem duo core all the proper requirements but i can't get this to work.'

3 installations per user-based license: HowTo?

We have a number of user-based licenses. License agreement states that I can have 3 installations per user, provided only one is utilised per time. Suits me fine, since we run a number of test systems (15) and have about 5 LV programmers ("a", "b", "c", "d", and "e") intermittently programming on these.
Now, however, I wonder how to set up the license manager.
Do I need to have 5 x 3 systems with Windows user accounts "a", "b", "c", "d",and "e" respectively?

Sorry, I must have gotten mixwed up with the numbers: It's 5 named user licenses, indeed.
But to clarify, license agreement does say

So my idea is that 5 employees with 5 named user volume licenses are licensed to 3 test stands each. Since those 5 are the only programmers around, none of them will use more than one license at a time, i.e. only 5 installations are being used. However, according to my understanding, there may be 15 machines with legal installations of LabVIEW on disc or registered to the NI-VLM, 10 dormant, 5 active.
And if this interpretation holds, my question is: How do I set up the test stand PCs and the licenses in the NILM.
Please pardon my persistence, but otherwise I'll be swapping licenses on an hourly basis ;-)

If you haven't installed Lion yet you can extract the installer and then just use that without a need for downloading again

How do I print front and back with two pages per sheet? (OSX Lion)

I can't find a simple solution to my situation...
I'm using Max OSX Lion 10.7.3 and Adobe Reader X 10.1.2.
I want print two PDF pages onto one printed sheet, and I want to print front and back. When I go to the print settings and select two pages per printed sheet, the sample window shows me what I'm looking for. But when I tell it to print odd only or even only, it changes the print selection. Here's what happens...
Let's say I have a PDF document that is 20 pages long. When I tell it to print two PDF pages per sheet, it shows me that the first pages printed will be PDF pages 1 and 2. When I tell it that I want it to print odd pages only, it tells me that the first printed page will contain PDF pages 1 and 3.
In other words, Adobe Reader wants to print the odd PDF pages instead of the odd pages of the printed document (PDF pages 1 and 2, then 5 and 6, then 9 and 10, so on).
So that I'm being clear...
This [ ] is a printed page. The numbers inside the brackets represent the page numbers in the PDF document...
What I want to print is this...
FRONT   || BACK
[1,2]    || [3,4]
[5,6]    || [7,8]
[9,10]   || [11,12]
[13,14] || [15,16]
[17,18] || [19,20]
What would end up printing is this...

Aside from telling it exactly which PDF page numbers to print (this would be a taxing job because I'm working with a 273 page document), is there an easy and simple way to print how I'd like?

I would suggest to use Adobe Ilustrator. Also I get an error message when I try tp access the sample document.
