Two iPad 2 IOS 7.1.2: different behaviour with WiFi!

We have two iPad 2, IOS 7.1.2
The first one connects to out WiFi network everywhere around the house:Speedtest 28Mbps in same room as router and 13Mbps in the room with the weakest signal
2nd iPad: 18.78Mbps in same room and no signal whatsoever in room with weakest signal!
I tried all the troubleshooting fixes on the Apple Support pages and nothing helps!
Does anybody have the same problem and do you have any tips?
I don't dare upgrade IOS after major problems with WiFi after upgrade by other users!

I had the same problem. I reset my network settings as iOS 8 on my iPad 3 seemed a bit slow. When I tried to reconnect to the wifi the correct password was not accepted immediately.
after retrying several times it did manage to join the network. The only observation I had was that I had a weak signal and an iPhone next to me at the time.
make sure you are close to the wifi signal away from any other wifi devices.

When it comes to using AirPrint and it is not seeing your printer, the check the troubleshooting below to get it sorted out. You have already made sure it is on the same wireless network, so check to make sure that the printer does not need attention with any errors and check Epson’s website if there is any firmware updates for the printer.

Ipad 2 ios 8 update stuck on Apple with progress bar

I'm from Paris and I didn't find any solution around me.
So, I hope you'll help me to find something. Sorry in advance for mistakes. My english isn't perfect.
Yesterday, I tried to update my Ipad 2 to iOS 8 in OTA way.
Everything was going fine until the Ipad rebooted. Since this step, the Ipad stucks on the famous Apple with a progress bar under. The progress bar is 30% filled.
I tried to put my Ipad in DFU mode and it doesn't works.
The Ipad switch off few seconds and it switch on back in the state describes before.
Could you please heeeeeelp me.

i have the same problem, my ipad 2 ios 8 update: stuck with apple logo refreshing every 2 minutes or so with the black screen (like the one for boot up or reset) but not turning on or connecting to itunes. plugged it in to the computer for an itunes connect to do a hard reboot and the device shows up in grey (meaning i cannot click on it) for a minute while the ipad cycles with the apple logo. the device showing in itunes then disappears and the whole cycle starts over and over again. yes, please help!

FORCE IPAD INTO RECOVERY MODE
1. Turn off iPad
2. Turn on computer and launch iTune (make sure you have the latest version of iTune)
3. Plug USB cable into computer's USB port
4. Hold Home button down and plug the other end of cable into docking port. Do not release button until you see picture of iTune and plug (very important)
5. Release Home button.
ON COMPUTER
6. iTune has detected iPad in recovery mode. You must restore this iPad before it can be used with iTune.
7. Select "Restore iPad"...
Note: Data will be lost

Why would two wifi-only iPad 2s sitting side by side, connected to the same router, have different signal strengths? The 32gb black shifts between 1 or 2 bars and the 16gb white has 3 bars consistently. Both have the same version of iOS (5).

IPad 2 iOS 5 Pages will not sync with iCloud

I have my iPad 2 fully updated [iOS 5, latest pages update] and I turned on the options for using iCloud; however, when I go into pages, all I see are a bunch of up arrows in the upper right corner of each document and nothing is syncing. I have the iCloud setting for doc sync turned "on" and the Pages option to use iCloud turned "on."
It has been over 10 hours since I turned all this on, I connected my iPad to a power source [its connected to a good WiFi] and went to bed - its still not synced.
I have migrated my Mobile Me account over to iCloud, and I click on the 'iWorks" and it only gives me the Giraffe and the "Use Pages with iOS" but nothing will change.
Thoughts? Is it just too soon executus? [sorry bad reference]. It looks so very exciting! I cannot wait for my iPad to live sync through pages! I've been using dropbox and other word processing apps for so long >< I cant wait to be able to rely solely on pages!!!

Did you set up iCloud on the iPad in the settings?
I set up my iCloud account on my iPad and on iCloud.com and updated Pages this morning and my documents uploaded right away. The up arrow indicates that the documents are uploading or ready to upload - at least that's what I assumed.
Try quitting pages and restarting your iPad your iPad - you might as well restart the Mac while you are at it - and then try it again.
You did update Pages so if you did this should work.
To quit Pages - Go to the home screen first by tapping the home button. Quit/close Pages by double tapping the home button and the task bar will appear with all of you recent/open apps displayed at the bottom. Tap and hold down on the Pages app icon until it begins to wiggle. Tap the minus (-) sign in the upper left corner to close the apps. Restart the iPad. Restart the iPad by holding down on the sleep button until the red slider appears and then slide to shut off. To power up hold the sleep button until the Apple logo appears and let go of the button.

I have an ipad ios 4.3.3 and a gmail account and I have never had problems opening video email atatchments with the regular natve player or with other players like Oplayer when the videos are not mp4. But as geek maniac I decided to buy the Ipad 2 and it is running ios 5.01. The problem is the video atachments wont download completely. They seem to download but when I press my finger ontop of the suposed downloaded file notihng happens.

Yes, Apple has caused people to go through massive panic, anxiety and wasted time by not coming out and telling us about this problem. They must know about it. How can we tell them? Now I understand why it took me 50 tries to upgrade to OS5. We all got the same crazy errors that caused us to reinstall iTunes, turn off our firewalls, buy new USB cables and basically waste tons of time and energy, when the solution was very simple. Plug your device into a USB port on your computer.
After years of using a peripheral USB hub successfully it's no wonder we all started freaking out and thinking it was a major problem. Yes, I'm blowing off some steam, but I've been an Apple fanatic for a long time and I'm not happy about their lack of response to this issue.

Using ajax/servlets, different behaviour with different systems

I have written a small web application using servlets and ajax. I used the tomcat bundled with netbeans for deploying it. In the front end I create a timer which keeps running. I also have a form containing a paragraph that displays a question, followed by radio buttons and two buttons - a next and a submit. When I click the next button, I call a javascript function that creates an xmlHttp Object and sends the request for the next question and options from the servlet. when I request I also pass what the user has selected for the current question. when the timer reaches twelve or the user has finished attending all questions, the function would request for score through another xmlHttp Object. This program works fine in my computer. I also installed another tomcat server and ran it on another port and tested it. It works fine. But when I ran it college, the page was not displayed properly. When I click an option the contents of the form moves and only when I click the Next button twice, the corresponding javascript function is called.
I am pasting the html file and the servlet. What could be the reason?

And do try and test your program on diff browser from your pc only. Its a ajax world so be careful while dealing with browsers
and there settings. Just check your browser setting on your pc and check the same setting at your college also.
Buddy this ajax give a trick in big presentation also :) So no need to worry and test it and do it, its real fun when you just
cross this browser secific dependencies.

IOS 6.1 won't work with Wifi

I am using iPhone 4S with iOS 6.0.2 and also recently updated iOS 6.1.
I realise that I couldn't connect to my wifi with error "Incorrect Password" after entering the password to the wifi.
I discovered in the Apple Support Communities forum that this is a known bug.
Here's what I tried:
iPhone 4S with iOS 6.1 trying to access Wifi...

I tried WPA, WPA2 encryption on Airport Express - with short passphrase (8 character and longer) - all doesn't work.
I did a Reset all Network Settings on my iPhone - also doesn't work.
I reset my Airport Express (power off and on) - also doesn't work.
>> Using Netgear Wifi Router:
also doesn't work - encounter same error "Incorrect Password" when tried to connect to it using iPhone 4S with iOS 6.0.2 or 6.1.
Separately I am using MacBook Pro with Mac OS X 10.8 - no problems connecting to my wifi on either Airport Express or Netgear. Seems like there's nothing wrong with my wifi. Confirms issue with iOS 6.0.2 or 6.1.

I did a bypass on my wifi to create a guest network - with no encryption/password. It works for now with iPhone 4S running iOS 6.1. Hardly a solution.
Wonder if Apple could provide a fix for this?

Hi, sorry I didn't reply to your post. I had been busy for quite a while.
I only tried your recommendation today.
I couldn't back up my iPhone through iTunes on my Mac.
I restored the iPhone with iOS 6.1.2 and reset back to factory setting.
But now the iPhone is working normally, able to connect to my AirPort with encryption.
Somehow the iPhone behaves strangely. Suggest the rest of iPhone users back up your iPhone periodically using iTunes. It sorts of clean up the system and detect problem early. Last resort to fix iPhone behaving strangely is to reset to factory setting and start again.
Not exactly a fix, but at least it works. Thanks a million!!

Different behaviour with 2 PC's when calling VIT via VI server

I know there are a lot of posts about VI server and VIT on this forum, but i think my problem is not common.
I use Labview 6.1 on Windows XP Pro. Pentium 2.6GHz 512Mo.
My application load many instances of a template VI (vit) via VI server. All goes perfect in the development environment.
When I generate a redistributable exe via app Builder, the application seems not to load the different instance of the vit, but without Error (I have put an error handler when loading the vit).
The vit is included in a llb (the same as the main vi). I generate a single executable file (without external llb), i which i see the vit when opened.
The paths are OK for the 2 environment (debug and runtime),
vit is loaded in the app builder, and the VI Server Datasocket too. The Front Panel of the instance is opened before executing as explained in some posts.
The most interesting (crazy?) in this story, is that my application is correctly running (a little bit slower, it's true ... )) on an old PC (Pentium II 300MHz with 128Mo) !!!
Is there any relationship with the machine speed ?
If somebody has an explanation ... or a solution (my client has bought a modern PC !)

When I was confronted to this kind of behavior, it was due to loops that where not timed... I know it makes it very basic, but did you check that such problems are not present ?

Different behaviour with non-versioned and versioned jars

Everything works fine if I do not use the 'version' attribute into my jnlp file.
Now, I set this version attribute : version="1.2" for example and I rename my jar file into blabla__V1.2.jar (before it was blabla.jar). When I try to execute my application with this configuration I have the following exception :

My iPad Pages, Numbers, and Keynote apps Stopped Syncing with iCloud Drive

My iPad Air (iOS 8.0.2) is synced with my iCloud Drive, and all of its apps (Notes, Contacts, Calendar, etc.) sync perfectly with iCloud Drive... except for Pages, Numbers, and Keynote.
When I open Pages, Numbers, or Keynote on my iPhone 6 (iOS 8.0.2), my Mac (Yosemite beta), or my iCloud.com page, all files are there and all apps sync perfectly with one another. It's just Pages, Numbers, and Keynote on my iPad that refuses to sync. When I open my iPhone Pages app, I even see the text "Updating" at the top of the screen. But not on my iPad version.
I even factory restored my iPad and started all over again. And for a moment, the Pages app got something. A few docs and one folder appeared. But then it stopped again. And I haven't been able to repeat the process.
Anyone have any suggestions?

Using iWork with iCloud Drive
Options for iWork customers
1. Upgrade to iCloud Drive later this year when OS X Yosemite is available.
Choose this option if you’d like your documents to keep up to date with your apps on OS X Mavericks or earlier. Note that until you upgrade your iCloud account to iCloud Drive, you won’t be able to use the iWork web apps on iCloud.com or the Share via iCloud feature.
If you don’t upgrade to iCloud Drive at this time:
Your documents will keep up to date across devices with iOS 8 and across devices with iOS 7 and Macs with OS X Mavericks or earlier.
You won’t be able to use the iWork web apps on iCloud.com.
You won’t be able to use the Share via iCloud feature.
Documents you previously shared via iCloud won’t be accessible to collaborators until you upgrade to iCloud Drive.

Does anyone know if there is any difference in the way the following command is interpreted in different IOS release?
aaa authorization exec default local group <group-name>
I have observed different behaviour with the same set of configuration as foll0w;
- 03.03.05SE on a 3650 switch: here the switch only allow local user to login to the device, the radius user always fails( well unless i change the configuration to xx..default radius local)
- 15.0(2) on 2960: Here i can login both with local user and radius user with the same configuration.
Any thoughts?

I would not be surprised specially since the 3560 is running IOS-XE vs the 2960 runs IOS.
