  • Can you have two iPods on the same account

    I have an Itouch and an old classic that I want to load different music on.  Can I have two ipods on the same account?  Thanks

    I have a iMac, MB Pro, iPad 1, iPad 2, iPad Mini, iPod 4th all on the same iTunes account. Is that what you mean?

  • Can two Iphones have the same account/email address?

    Can two iphones have the same account/email address? I bought two phones-one for my wife and the other for myself. They are both under the same account /itunes account /email address-Would this cause a conflict with the two phones?

    No, as long as you want to share the same account for iCloud's services like Mail, Calendars, Contacts, Reminders, Notes, iCloud, Documents etc.
    I personally would create two accounts so that everyone could have and use  heir own mail account, address book, create meetings, reminders etc. without reading and deleting stuff of the other person.

  • I have two ipods on the same account. what do i have to do to redeem itunes cards sperately to each one?

    My two kids each have an ipod on the same pc on the same itunes account. now they are beggining to recieve itunes cards as gifts and want to redeem them seperately.what is the easiest/best way to do this?

    None. iTunes gift cards are redeemed to iTunes Store accounts, not individual devices.

  • Can you use two iPods on the same account?

    I just purchased a new iPod because my older one has been having trouble. When I logged onto iTunes it would recognize my new iPod because it said another user was logged on. My question is, can I add this second iPod to my account so that I can use all the music I've purchased with it? How do I do it if I can? This is very frustrating, please help!

    Yes you can. My wife and I each have iPods and use the same iTunes store account. Only plug one iPod in at any given time. Also, turn off fast user switching if you choose to set up another user account.

  • HT1657 Can I transfer a standard definition rental between two computers with the same account?

    So, I rented a movie on my work computer and haven't had time to watch it just yet and it's expiring in 4 days. So, naturally, reading the documentation here that says the following:
    If you download a rented movie on your computer: You can transfer it to a device such as your Apple TV (1st generation), iPhone, iPad, or iPod if it’s a standard-definition film (movies in HD can only be watched on your computer, iPad, iPhone 4 or later, iPod touch (4th generation or later), or Apple TV). Once you move the movie from your computer to a device, the movie will disappear from your computer's iTunes library. You can move the movie between devices as many times as you wish during the rental period, but the movie can only exist on one device at a time.
    I moved the rental to my MacBook Pro, expecting to be able to watch it there. However, when I add it to my iTunes library on my MBP (with the same iTunes account), I get an error saying that it isn't authorized to play the content.
    What's the deal? Am I missing something, or doesn't it seem like I should be able to transfer it between computers? Do I need to delete the one off my work computer first?

    Sorry but no. Rentals cannot be transferred from one computer to another. As the instructions said, you can only move a rental from a computer to a iOS-based device or back from that device to the computer on which the rental was first downloaded.
    Regards.

  • Two bills for the same account?

    I want to know why I had two bills but only one was sent to my house and it only affected my second line not my primary line. Has anyone else had this?

    It sounds as if your 2 lines were switched from a Family Share plan to two separate Individual plans.
    I would call CS *611 and ask what is going on with your account.

  • HT2534 How can i download from two different store with the same account?

    I live in both countries but my credit card is registered in a french bank, therefore it is not recognised by the Aussie store on itunes. There are apps or music i want to get form the Aussie store as well as music and other apps from the french one...
    Is it possible to have two stores under the same account????? I wish apple could fix this, which could result in more spending as you can buy from different store!

    Wait 90 days
    Why would you start a new account?  Why not just correct the original account?

  • Will iTunes 10 & iTunes 11 work together? If not, how do I combine 2 libraries with the same account?

    My 2005 iMac (which can't be updated to Snow Leopard or Mountain Lion and so is stuck with iTunes 10) has thousands of my songs, over 80GB of music mostly from CDs and other uploads/downloads.  In 2008 we got an iMac for the family room; somehow although we have the same iTunes account for that computer, we started fresh with no tracks, and built up its own library for family use.  Now we've bought two iPhones which aren't recognized by the '08 iTunes/Mac OS, so I want to upgrade the '08 iMac (the only one I can) and I have the Snow Leopard software to do so.
    But I'm concerned that once the two computers have different versions of iTunes, I will lose the ability to home-share the music library from the '05 iMac on the '08 iMac, and because of that I won't be able to store any of my older Mac's tracks on the iCloud or access them on my iPhone.  (Of course I don't want to have to pay for 80GB+ on the cloud!)
    Has anyone got two versions of iTunes on two computers with the same account and are you able to home-share together and access tracks on your iPhones from an older version?
    What do Apple users recommend?  I'm thinking my best bet might be to combine the two libraries, which as I said are on the same account, but I don't know how to go about doing this.  How much time would it take with 80GB?  (I could probably do without 15% or 20% of those tracks, but it's still a lot, I don't know if it's instantaneous or if it uploads each track one at a time, I can imagine that taking two days.)
    The older Mac's tracks, the 80GB, are the ones I really want, it took years to collect and upload all that, finding photos for some of the more esoteric albums/songs, etc.  The newer Mac only has 2.5GB in its iTunes and I guess it wouldn't be the worst thing if I had to reload those, if the 80GB library had to wipe out the 2.5GB one.
    Thanks so much to anyone who can help me!  If I can start this tonight and have it run overnight (if necessary) that'd be great, otherwise I'm hoping I can get this done Sunday.  By the way, technologically, I have the '05 iMac hooked up to a 1st Gen Time Capsule and the '08 iMac getting WiFi from that.

    Thank you for replying.  Both of the accounts are Admin accounts.  The Libraries are kept in the user/music/itunes/itunes media folder on each account.  However, I do use multiple iTunes Libraries on my Account1.  One of the Libraries I use in Account1 is on a separate internal HD.  However, the other Libraries I use in Account1 are stored in user/music/itunes/itunes media folder on the main HD (which hosts both Account1 and Account2).  It doesn't seem to matter whether I am using an iTunes Library on an external drive or the main drive in Account1, I still get the same problem: only account1 library will load.  AppleTV sees that the Account2 Library is there, but it won't load it.

  • Call between 2 computers on the same account

    I have two computers on the same account. One is my home office desktop, the other is my mobile. This is useful as both computers use the same credit account. In addition, if I am travelling, or I am at the office, people are still able to contact me at the same address.
    I am able to make phone and video calls from both of my computers to other computers but I am unable to set them up so that the computers can communicate with each other.
    Is this possible?
    If so how?
    I hope that if what I am asking is impossible I don't have to set up a separate account on my mobile in order that my two computers can communicate with each other using the same account.

    You can't for example chat to the other computer using the same Skype names on both.
    That said, if you have online numbers, you can call those Online Number(s) and both computers can ring, however only one can answer the call.

  • Two Threads Sharing the Same Object

    I am learning Java multithreading recently and I really hit the wall when I came to synchronizing data using the synchronized keyword. According to the explanation, synchronized will only work when 2 or more threads are accessing the same object. If there are accessing 2 different objects, they can run the synchronized method in parallel.
    My question now is how to make sure for synchronized method to work, I am actually working with the same and only one object??
    Imagine this:
    Two person with the same account number are trying to access the very ONE account at the same time.
    I suppose the logic will be:
    Two different socket objects will be created. When it comes to the login or authentication class or method, how can I make sure in term of object that the login/authentication class or method will return them only ONE object (because they share the same account), so that they will be qualified for using the synchronized method further down the road?
    Thanks in advance!

    Actually your understanding is wrong. Consider:
    public class MyClass {
      private int someInt;
      private float someFloat;
      private synchronized void someMethod(final int value) {
        if (value > 2000) someInt = 2000;
      private synchronized void someOtherMethod(final float value) {
        if (value > 2.0) someFloat = 1.999f;
    }YOu might think that two different threads can enter this code, one can enter in someOtherMethod() while one is in someMethod(). That is wrong. The fact is that synchronization works by obtaining synchronization locks on a target object. In this case by putting it on the method declaration you are asking for the lock on the 'this' object. This means that only one of these methods may enter at a time. This code would be better written like so ...
    public class MyClass {
      private int someInt;
      private float someFloat;
      private void someMethod(final int value) {
        synchronized(someInt) {
          if (value > 2000) someInt = 2000;
      private void someOtherMethod(final float value) {
        synchronized(someFloat) {
          if (value > 2.0) someFloat = 1.999f;
    }In this manner you are only locking on the pertinent objects to the method and not on 'this'. This means that both methods can be entered simultaneously by two different threads. However watch out for one little problem.
    public class MyClass {
      private int someInt;
      private float someFloat;
      private void someMethod(final int value) {
        synchronized(someInt) {
          if (value > 2000) {
            someInt = 2000;
            synchronized (someFloat) {
              someFloat = 0.0f;
      private void someOtherMethod(final float value) {
        synchronized(someFloat) {
          if (value > 2.0) {
            someFloat = 1.99999f;
            synchronized (someInt) {
              someInt = 0;
    }In this case you can have a deadlock. If two threads enter one of these methods at the same time one would be waiting on the lock for someInt and the other on the lock for someFloat. Neither would proceed. The solution to the problem is simple. Acquire all locks in alphabetical order before you use the first.
    public class MyClass {
      private int someInt;
      private float someFloat;
      private void someMethod(final int value) {
        synchronized (someFloat) {
          synchronized(someInt) {
            if (value > 2000) {
              someInt = 2000;
              someFloat = 0.0f;
      private void someOtherMethod(final float value) {
        synchronized(someFloat) {
          if (value > 2.0) {
            someFloat = 1.99999f;
            synchronized (someInt) {
              someInt = 0;
    }In this manner one thread will block waiting on someFloat and there can be no deadlock.

  • In iPad 1 ios 4 may have two ipad Apps the same from two accounts itunes

    In iPad 1 ios 4 may have two ipad Apps the same from two accounts itunes one free other paid account, hence one free App and another paid App the same App?

    If both accounts are authorised on your computer's iTunes (Store > Authorise This Computer) then you can download the books from both accounts to there (download the books from one account, then sign out of it via Store > Sign Out, log in with the other account via Store > Sign In and download the books from the other account), and sync them over to the iPad's iBooks app via the Books tab.
    Or you might be able to sign out of your account on the iPad by tapping on it Settings > Store and sign in with the other account and download the books from that account - I think that it should work, but it's not something that I've tried so I'm not 100% sure that it will

  • How do I share one itunes account between two users on the same computer

    How do I share one itunes account between two users on the same computer without taking up twice as much space on my hard drive?

    You would need to move the itunes folder to a location that both users have permissions to access such as the Shared folder or any folder on the root level of the macintosh HD.
    You can find instructions here http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1203 This method allows you to share the content without sharing the same library.
