Two iPhones FaceTimes Interfaces Appear Differently

My husband and I got 2 iPhone 5Cs a few days ago. They are virtually identical except that his is green w/32 GB and mine is pink w/16 GB. Same iOS, same build. But what is strange is that when we both bring up FaceTime > Contacts, his list of contacts is white text against a blurry darkened background video of whatever the camera is pointing at. Mine only shows the Contacts as white text against a plain black, non-video, background. Why are ours different? I looked through any possible settings, and couldn’t find anything that would make a difference.

Make sure in "General - Accessibility - Reduce Motion" is set to "OFF".
Reducing motion will make background go black.

except re-installing iTunes which seems like a ridiculous thing to do. I have updated my iMac to Lion (Mac OS X 10.7) and have the latest iTunes 10.4 (80). Also, my two iPhones do not appear in iPhoto 9.1.5 (615) either.
Since I rebooted my iMac I'd assume that is similar to your advice to stop and restart services.
Any further suggestions?

Two iPhone Households

So, with Mobile Me, I now have a small problem.
All Calendars and Contact Groups sync to my phone, but in a two iPhone household, we have different contact groups and calendars set up for each of us. How can I tell my iPhone to only sync specific calenders/contacts –or– is it all or nothing?

You can't with one MobileMe account and using push. You get all the calendars and contacts. You either have to set the iPhone to sync when only connecting to the computer or have two MobileMe accounts, which would also require two Mac OS X accounts on the computer, or separate computers.

Sharing an iCloud account between two devices can be done without causing issues with iMessage and FaceTime, just go into Settings for each of these functions and designate separate points of contact (i.e. phone number only, or phone number and unique email address). While that works, you'll then face the problem where a phone call to one iPhone will ring both if on the same Wi-Fi network -- but again, that can be avoided by changing each phone's settings.
Rather than do all that, don't fight it -- use separate IDs for iCloud. You can still use a common ID for iTunes purchases (the ID for purchases and iCloud do not have to be the same) or you can use Family Sharing to share purchases from a primary Apple account.

As TJBUSMC1973 states, and as I said earlier, the Find My iPhone app has nothing to do with your use of Find My iPhone. The app is just used if necessary to locate another iOS device from that particular iOS device. To see if both of your devices are being located in Find My iPhone, log into www.icloud.com and select Find My iPhone. Both of the devices should appear. If they do not, then go into whichever of the devices does not appear and make sure that Find My iPhone is activated. It has to be activated through iCloud, and for both to show on the same map, they both have to have the same iCloud ID.

With two iPhones 4, turning on Facetime on both iPhones, turning on Data Roaming, Enable 3G, cellular data. Wifi has been enabled on, Wi-Fi is on, 'ask to join networks' is on. I cannot get the two iPhones 4 to do 'FaceTime' with each other. Changes?

Why is Facetime on one iPhone 4 not connecting to ther other iPhone 4 when both have the 'FaceTime' icon showing on both?

I will through that note and have applied the items in that note on both iPhones. Both iPhones are in the same physical location. Both appear to be connected to a wi-fi network. Still no FaceTime connection. Is it such that both iPhones must be connected to a Wi-Fi and that wifi must be a network without a password needed to join it? I thought 'Data Roaming = On' was such that iPhone 4 would then find a wifi network without a password needed and one could use FaceTime.
Is that the incorrect assumption? If yes or no, what specific items are needed to be checked before I do this again or be checked while attempting FaceTime.

I have two apple phones too. One for work and my personal. When setting up your apple ID on the second phone under Messages settings -> Send & Receive -> you can select the other phone that has your apple ID. I haven't done it, bc need two separate phones. But i believe that sould work. Same on your Messages on you mac. But remember iMessages only works with Apple products. All your other buddies that don't have apple you won't get their sms, on the primary phone you want to use. Hope this helps

Yes. There is no device limit for the number of iPods, iPads, and iPhones that can be synced with the same iTunes library and iTunes account on the same computer. Each device can have its own sync preferences with iTunes on the same computer.
If both iPhones are synced with the same Address Book under the same computer login account, then the contacts on each iPhone will be the same. With the Address Book on a Mac, you can sync select Address Book Groups only with an iPhone instead of the entire Address Book and all groups. You and/or your wife can create an Address Book Group or multiple Groups to be synced with each other's iPhone only. You can transfer the settings for one email account to one iPhone and the settings for another email account to the other iPhone.

YES, that is the free 5GB icloud memory for each apple ID. Can I not add the free 5Gb of my second Iphone to my original apple ID (5GB also) as I want to use one Apple ID name on both 2 Iphones? Phone A = phone with information you want duplicated
Phone B = phone that you want to copy from A
Backup Phone A.

Phone B should be on the 'Hello' screen. Do not swipe it. Launch iTunes. Plug in Phone B.
When iTunes asks if you want to set up as new phone or restore from backup, choose restore from backup of Phone A.
After this setup, any changes to one phone (i.e. adding a contact, downloading an app) will have to be manually duplicated on the second phone, if that is your desire). Making changes to one phone will not affect the other after setup.

To move one of the phones to a different iCloud account (if that's what you want to do), go to Settings>iCloud and turn all synced data to Off. When prompted, choose to keep the data on your iPhone. After everything is off, scroll to the bottom and tap Delete Account. This will delete the account from the phone but not from iCloud so the other phone will not be effected. Then set up a new iCloud account with a different Apple ID and turn iCloud syncing in Settings>iCloud back to On. When prompted, choose Merge. This will upload the data to the new iCloud account.
You will then have to go to icloud.com and sign into each iCloud account separately and delete any unwanted data that you don't want on the phone syncing with each account.

I have two iphones, 3Gs and iPhone 5 and I am having problems activating the iPhone 5. The 3Gs has been activated and I can use it to send and recieve imessages but the iPhone 5 keeps telling me activation unsuccessful and when I check the send and recieve at section, the number (grayed out) is that of the 3Gs instead!
What could be the problem??? Do I have to create a different account for the iPhone 5 and how do I let it display the telephone number of the iPhone 5 instead of that of the 3Gs???

that's right, sync it with your library but also make sure that your sister does not do it again as it will keep changing.
You may wanna disable contacts sync with the iCloud on her device by taking her device and go on settings, iCloud & switch off contacts.
