Two Iphones - ITunes thinks they're the same phone

I screwed up and somehow synced both of our new Iphones to ITunes under the same name and now it recognizes both our phones as the same one phone. Text messages sent to one of our phones are showing up on the other phone as well. I can't see a way to remove one of the devices and start over. I have entered a lot of contacts in Outlook and don't want to lose them. Help me, I'm stupid!

If text messages intended for one are going to both, it sounds like you may have managed to clone the phone during the activation process... I'm guessing these must be Verizon phones.
If that's so, you need to contact Verizon ASAP. They're going to have to straighten this out.
If they're not Verizon phones, then I don't see how you could possibly be getting text messages on both, unless you mean you get them on one, sync, sync the other, then the show up in the text message history of the last one. That's a different issue entirely. You should just have to re-name one of the phones in iTunes to straighten that out, then set one of them up as a new phone.

Actually, everyone missed one point, when a device is priced, the cost of icloud storage space for that device is also included in it that is why they are able to give you 5gb each for each user ID, in nutshell there is nothing free coming with apple device purchase, it is paid for. What they are trying by giving only 5gb per user ID irrespective of the number of devices used is pure broadlight looting, they take money from you when you buy each device and give you nothing, This is a case of goods and services bought but not fully deliverd ie apple can be suied for discreminatory treatment towards it's users. I wonder why no one tried this yet in America where everyone sue everyone for petty things..... there is no one to take up this issue? . if tim got any love for the guys who shell out money for the devices his company makes, he should be implimenting this as priority before someone wake up from sleep and sue him.

Once the movie has completey download, having an Internet connection is no longer necessary. It would be wise to test the movie before you leave, though, in case of glitches.

You may have debris in your headphone jack blocking the sensor. Try blowing hard on the jack, and inserting/removing your headphones quickly multiple times to clear it.

My parents accidentally used the same Apple ID for both of their iPhones. How can I unlink their accounts and create two different, unique Apple IDs for each of their iPhones? Apple IDs are used in several different ways on an iPhone. You can have different Apple IDs for different functions. For example, if you use the same iCloud ID for both phones they will both be trackable by logging in to icloud using that ID, and they will both be protected by Activation Lock with the same ID. They will also both get the same email and back up to the same iCloud account. Or these can be different. Your choice.
The iTunes & App stores can have the same or a different Apple ID. If they have the same then you don't have to pay for apps twice; once an app is purchased it can be used by all devices on that account (there are licensing restrictions that limit sharing to a single family all at the same address).
Facetime and iMessage can have yet a third Apple ID. This is really a good idea, as it keeps everyone's messages private.

iTunes is designed to only sync to a single computer and iTunes library. If you try and sync to another, as you have, you find it will delete all content from the phone and try and sync to the new library. You will need to decide which computer you want to sync to and use that one.

TS2755 Problem: Both iPhones share incoming and outgoing Text Messages. History: We used the same Apple ID for TWO iPhones. Later we changed the Apple ID on ONE iPhone.

Two iPhones were set up using the same Apple ID. iPhone#2 was updated 4 months ago with a new Apple ID. Both phones continue to recieve text messages for either user. Texts from user 1 or 2 to a 3rd party are signed as the same user. iPhone#1 is an Apple 5, iPhone#2 is a 4s. All phones on the same Verizon account. IOS have been updated regularly.

Go to your imessaging settings and check to see that the phone number for device #2 is changed good luck.
