Two iPhones, two accounts, but I need to share the contacts.
I recently sold my old iPhone and got a new one. Through an unfortunate series of events I lost all the contacts on my new phone. I borrowed the one I sold (which still had my contacts on it) and synced it up with iTunes. That went fine but when I plug in my new phone it syncs but none of the contacts sync with it. I think because the phones have different names, it wont let me get my numbers. Is there a way to go from iphone to vcf card or just a way to view the contacts that I synced into iTunes? The most frustrating thing is knowing that I have those contacts and not being able to get to them.

Ok, you synced the iPhone. But, _did you sync contacts?_ If so, they should be in whatever program on your computer you use for contacts (e.g. Address Book on a Mac). If they aren't there, then even though you synced the phone you didn't sync contacts (i.e. the box on the Info tab wasn't checked).
I think because the phones have different names...
Phone name is irrelevant. I sync contacts from the same Address Book to multiple iPhones and an iPod Touch, all with different names.

Your iCloud and @icloud.com login ID is an Apple ID. Go to http://appleid.apple.com and sign in with the ID you use to sign into iCloud (you can check this by going to http://www.icloud.com and signing in there).
Click 'Password & Security' in the sidebar and you will be able to change the password.
HOWEVER
Before you do this you must turn off 'Find My iPhone/iPad/iMac' if you have it enabled on any of your devices, otherwise you will land yourself in difficulties. -

I've consolidated two macs into one and successfully migraated everything EXCEPT access to the original account's iTunes library. I have turned on sharing on both accounts, but still cannot get the new account linked to the library. Of course apple is no help whatsoever on this - nothing i can find on the support site and unless I want to pay them $50 they won't even try to help. Anyone have any good ideas?/
With POP, there really isn't a good way. POP is designed to download from the server only, deleting messages after they are downloaded. While you can set it to not delete, there's no provision for uploading messages to the server. You need an IMAP account, which allows full synchronization of the server with the mail client, across multiple machines. Note that some mail accounts can be set up as either POP or IMAP... check with BT Connect to see if that's the case with them.

I think I have two apple ID accounts.
The account I am using right now is Alexiaann22. Im like 99.9999% possitive that before this was my origonal account(rosepetttals).
When I am buying an app in the app store the apple id is already there and all you have to do is change the password. But the apple ID thaat is there is the Rosepetttals.
I am no longer using that email so I cannot get the password sent to it. I also cannot retrieve the password for rosepetttals because it says that the birthday I am entering is incorrect. but im pretty sure I would know my own birthday.

My husband and I have two different tastes in music....do we have to have two different itunes accounts, or can we somehow share the account (itunes cards, credit card....payment options) but have two different setups??? How does this affect things if you use icloud??

DanielleIf it is in your itunes on your computer, then select it to sync just like everything else that you sync.
The music must be on your computer.

My assistant and I are using two Lightrooms (i.e. two serial numbers) and need to share between our two computers. I provide originals to her onto a flash drive. She tags them and returns them to me. I then copy the photos from her flash drive onto my computer and load them in my LR. The photos appear but witthout any editing or tagging. We need to be able to have her working on the photos on her computer with her copy of LR and me on my computer with my version of LR being able to access what is already tagged and given back to me. This seems hard. We need advice on if it is at all possible to have two computers simultaneously working on LR . I bought her her own version because I was told at the time of purchasing that that was the only way to share. Please advise urgently! Thanks.
Sounds like your assistant isn't instructing Lightroom to write the tagging and editing to the files themselves, so wehn the files return to you, they don't have editing and tagging information. She need to select the photos in Lightroom and then Ctrl-S (Cmd-S on Mac). Or alternatively turn on the option to autmoatically write this information to the files.
If you are using RAW photos, then this information will be written to a sidecar XMP file, and your assistant must provide you with the sidecar file. If these photos are not RAW photos, then the information is written directly into the photo file itself.
Lightroom wasn't designed to be a multi-user program, and so it is truly not possible to have two people working on the same catalog at once. The way you are doing things, as modified above, is probably the way to go.
As an alternative, you can transfer (portions of) catalogs as well as photos back and forth and then all of these issues disappear, but a catalog might be rather large for a flash drive (or maybe not, it depends) -

If you do then that won't stop you being able to purchase items on your phone - you only need to be logged into an account to be able to purchase with it.

I recently gave my old iPhone to my nephew, I did not clear out my old phone before I gave it to him, when he transferred to his account, he had my iCloud info on the phone, and it updated the contacts on my new iPhone 5 to his contacts. Is there any way for me to get my contacts back?
This is caused by using the same iCloud account on both phones. When you do this any data you sync with the shared iCloud account such as contacts is merged and will appear on all devices connected to the account. To fix this you both need to have separate iCloud accounts (you can continue to share the same Apple ID for purchasing from the iTunes and app stores).
Decide which iPhone will be keeping the current iCloud account. On the one that will be changing accounts, if you have any photos in photo stream that are not in your camera roll or backed up somewhere else save these to your camera roll by opening the photo stream album in the thumbnail view, tapping Edit, then tap all the photos you want to save, tap Share and tap Save to Camera Roll.
Once this is done, go to Settings>iCloud, scroll to the bottom and tap Delete Account. (This will only delete the account from this phone, not from iCloud. The phone that will be keeping the account will not be effected by this.) When prompted about what to do with the iCloud data, be sure to select Keep On My iPhone. Next, set up a new iCloud account using a different Apple ID (if you don't have one, tap Get a Free Apple ID at the bottom). Then turn iCloud data syncing for contacts, etc. back to On, and when prompted about merging with iCloud, choose Merge. This will upload the data to the new account.
Finally, to un-merge the data you will then have to go to icloud.com on your computer and sign into each iCloud account separately and manually delete the data you don't want (i.e., deleting your nephew's data from your account, and vice versa).
As for recovering your lost contacts, if they aren't on icloud.com when you check from your computer, you will have to recover them from a backup source. You could try restoring to your last backup but this doesn't always work for contacts. (Chances are you nephew deleted your contacts from his phone, not realizing it would also delete them from yours.) -
I have just signed up for family sharing. Is there any way you can get the same app on two devices but not have to share it? My sons both want clash of clans but they don't want to be on the same village and they can't both be on app at the same time?
hi, the app is not "shared", it works as if you bought the app twice with different accounts, only you paid it once. they should have 2 different villages since they're on 2 different devices.

I'm trying to get my old information (apps, music) from my iphone that was previously on a different account to sync on a new account. I just got a new macbook pro and got a new account to go with it. Now i have tried to homeshare the accounts and drag the music over to download it onto this new account but i can't get the homesharing to work because it says the password doesn't match even though i have used the same one to log on and off of homesharing on my mom's account. I have recently tried to back up my phone onto this new account and it asks if i want to authorize it and asks for the password for my mom's account. I have the password but i am hesitant to authorize it with my mom's apple ID and password because i don't want her account to be on this computer. I want it to be my own account just with my personal music from my iphone on it. I dont know if it will just sync my iphone's information to my new account or just add my mom's apple ID account to my itunes on my computer. A hidden SMS is snet to that number when you turn iMessage on and is used to verify your phone number. I suggest you turn iMessage off. In settings/phone turn on dial assist. Check with your carrier to see if you can send an international SMS as you end that possibility to activate iMessage. Rest your phone (Hold down the Sleep/Wake button and the home button together until the apple logo appears (ignore the ON/OFF slider) then let both buttons go and wait for device to restart (no data will be lost).) then turn iMessage back on.

Why do two iPods need to share the same library? Is there any way I can change it?
I owe one iPod and brought another today, and I just set up the other one. They're both the same model - iPod touch 8GB - and I've set the second one up. I've had the first one for some time, about an year, and I only bought another for a family member. I was wondering why do we need to share the same library and how can we change it. Help would be welcomed since we really like different kind of genres and we disagree on them, so we really really want to change this. I can't even say how much we need to change the setting. Sherlocked, There are a few ways you can solve that problem.
If you do want to share the same library, use the capabililty to "Sync Selected Playlists," so that each iPod will only get the music that its owner wants.
Alternatively, you can set up two separate libraries. This is easiest if you use two different Windows user IDs on the computer. Then each iPod owner can sync to his own library. -
My icloud account is not verifying it says check my mail witch I have done and I get a message say your iPhone for has been used to set up and Icloud account but still can not use the icloud can anybody help me.
Be sure you are checking the email account that you used to set up the Apple ID you used to create the iCloud account. Also, be sure to check your spam/junk folder as well as your inbox. The email you should receive looks like the image below. When you get it, click the Verify Now link.
If it still isn't there, try going to https://appleid.apple.com, click Manage your Apple ID, sign in, click on Name, ID and Email addresses on the left, then to the right look for a link to resend the verification email. -

You need to ask Apple to reset your security questions. To do this, click here and pick a method; if that page doesn't list one for your country or you're unable to call, fill out and submit this form.
They wouldn't be security questions if they could be bypassed without Apple verifying your identity.
