Two iPod Touches on the Same Apple Account

I just got a new iPod Touch and gave my old one to my sister. Everytime I download a new app it goes to hers and the same if she downloads one, and its bugging me. Also if there was a way to not have the same Game Center account. I was wondering if there was anyway to get that to stop. I am fairly good with technology, and this making me mad that the simplest thing can be fixed. So if anyone could help me, that would be amazing!

- For the apps downloading, on the iPods go to Settings>Store and turn off automatic downloads.

When you turn on your iDevice for the first time just sign in with the same Apple ID and you can download any apps you have purchased in the past! There shouldn't be a limit to how many devices you can use.

Create a NEW account/ID for her using these instructions. Make sure you follow the instructions. Many do not and if you do not you will not get the None option. You must use an email address that you have not used with Apple before.

Use the new ID on her iPod but only for:
Settings>Messages>Send and Receive
Settings>FaceTime
Settings>GameCenter
and Settings>iCloud if you want her to have separate Contacts Calendar and some other things.
Continue to use the same/common Apple ID for Settings>iTunes and App stores so you can share purchases.

Changing Facetime settings on an iPod will have no affect on cellular settings on an iPhone. Something else is going on there. If she did not change any settings on the phone, then nothing she did could affect your celluar 3G.

Yes, you stop using the same Apple ID under Settings > iCloud.

How do you sync two ipod touches to the same computer?

Whenever I plug in my ipod touch to my computer, it still shows my husbands library and I can't sync. Even if I log into the iTunes store, it still shows all his library. What do i have to do to use two iPods on the same pc?

Create a new library, either by launching iTunes with the Shift key held down or by creating a new Windows user account.

If two people are using the same apple account how do they show different names on airdrop

I'm trying to set up to user names for air drop on one Apple ID. It works for Messages and FaceTime but I can't find a setting for airdrop. It only shows the user name of the person with the Apple ID email

If any of you are like me, I had one single AppleID under MobileMe. Under my AppleID I had two additional Email addresses, one for my wife and one for her Mother. Each used their individual email accounts on their login on the home Mac and on their individual Iphones.
In order for them to not lose their email acounts when mobileMe goes away and/or you move your appleID acount from MobileMe to iCloud, you simply need to beaware of the folowing. Have each person with an email address under your AppleID MobileMe go to www.me.com; enter their email account and password in the corresponding fields. However, don't press the login button. Instead press the sentence under the login fields that says something to the effect of "do you want to move/migrate to iCloud. Follow the prompts from there.
In essence what Apple has done--albeit not communicated anywhere--is that they automatically created AppleIDs for each of those additonal email addresses you have/had under MobileMe. Therefore, use that email and password after moving from MobileMe to iCloud and your good to go.

Yes. You're supposed to move it to the second device from the computer and not redownload it from the iTunes Store.

You cannot transfer content between two accounts. The sooner you make the conversion, the better. Just pick the new one and start using it(buying music etc).
*A lot of people open new accounts when their email changes or they have a new email. You can just access your apple id account and change the primary email that you use to log in along with other details.
