Two iTUnes questions...

I have two questions that experienced users may be able to answer:
- Most of my albums show in itunes with all the songs that belong to it. However, some Albums show one album cover for each single song on the album. How can I unify all songs that belong to one album into one album cover on itunes (I did already check if the underlying album information differs from song to song, but it seems to appear identical)?
- How can I ad album art work to all songs of one album simultaneously and not have to drag and drop for each single song of an album while playing the song?

Select all the tracks at once and make sure Artist and Album are correct. Then head over to the options tab, and check and uncheck "Part of a Compilation"=Yes/No.
2) Click on the words *Now Playing* above the artwork. It will change to *Selected Item*. You can select all the tracks at once (without them playing), and drag the artwork into it.
edit- Call me superstitious, but I think you have a chance of corrupting your tracks by writing tags to them while they're playing.

Two iTunes questions in regards to my podcast

Question #1 - I put up episode #7 late laswt week, but it still isn't listed in iTunes. Any idea why?
Question #2 - On the page where my podcast is listed it says it is under the literature heading, but when I go to that heading I don't see it listed amongst the rest. Anyone know why that might be?

1. Is your feed still valid? Did you ping iTunes?

2. It's a popularity thing. There are thousands of podcasts in that category. Very difficult to make the top 100 or the featured list. Or, if you are talking about the browse feature, the categories seem to be limited to about a thousand listings. If your 'cast wasn't in the first thousand submitted, it probably won't show up there.

Than I click the forgot security questions than it sends it to my email but that's the problem I do not get any email.

You need to ask Apple to reset your security questions; ways of doing so include clicking here and picking a method for your country, and filling out and submitting this form.

Even now when I share the Garageband created files with iTunes 11.1.1, the volime I previously set in Garageband is retained. However, when I use the music to create a slide show in iPhoto 2008 and export to Quicktime 7.6.6, the volume level I previously set is lost and seems to default to a low level. The problem seems to be either in the slide show export from iPhoto 2008 to Quicktime 7.6.6 or in Quicktime itself. Is there a work around, so that I can retain the volume level I had previously set in Garageband, a volume level that seems to transfer without problem to the new iTunes. But then iPhoto 2008 (slide show) possibly or Quicktime 7.6.6 do not cooperate. Before I did the upgrade to Snow Leopard, the new iTunes and Quicktime I had no problems with the set volume being retained in the old Quicktime. I have two iTunes libraries on different hard drives on one computer. I choose the appropriate library when starting iTunes.
I now want to merge these libraries but retain the files on their separate hard drives (the files are too large to combine).

This is indeed an excellent question. I am looking for what seems to be the exact same solution. I have two libraries, where the ratings, checks, and play counts are included in the itunes xml library files. I have found that using synchronization software only compares documents and replaces one with the other. If I modify one computer (in terms of collections, ratings, or play counts), and then don't synchronize before modifying the other computer, then my libraries do not match.
If there were a quick solution to compare and merge libraries, then I would not have to re-synchronize libraries each time I switch computers (assuming I'm not adding/changing mp3 file structure).
I suppose there could be a very long-winded applescript to do this, but I'm not familiar with scripting, nor interested. Any help?

How do I merge two itunes accounts?

Somehow I ended up with two iTunes accounts. This was not by design, but rather because of the convoluted sign-up process and my unfamiliarity with it. I didn't deal with it before now because it wasn't a problem until now. What has caused it to be a problem is that I just got an iPad to go along with my iMac, iPhone, and MacBook Pro (trust me, I never thought I'd see this day, but I needed a system that was integrated).
Since accounts are associated with users, the songs that show up on my iPad are different that what's on my iMac. I could describe the problems and challenges in detail, but I'm sure any knowledgable users can imagine what they are.
Now, in order to use iCloud, I have to move from Snow Leopard to Lion, which is going to be a bear (even moreso since a new back-up drive nearly destroyed my computer, and I have a query about it in another post-- the problems just keep on rolling). How do I associate all my purchases from one account with the other one so I can keep credit for songs and apps? Many thanks for all help. -J.

Apple IDs cannot be merged. You should use your preferred Apple ID from now on, but you can still access your purchased items such as music, movies, or software using your other Apple IDs.

Keeping two iTunes Media Folders (and libraries) in sync

Hi all,
Here's my situation... I can't be the only person looking for an answer to this. (Can I?)
At home I have a Mac Mini with my music collection on it managed by iTunes. I have the same at work. I also have Chronosync set up to nightly syncronize my iTunes Media folders. Obviously, this is just step one.
What I'd ultimately like is to be able to change files or add media at either location (through iTunes) and not only have the files moved by Chronosync but also have the iTunes libraries updated. Is there a way to do this via AppleScript or some other solution? I looking to keep two iTunes Media folders mirrored and have iTunes' library be updated at the same time (or on a regular basis).

It sounds like a question for whoever wrote Chronosync. I have never heard of it and have no idea what it is or what it does. Generally you ask questions related to third party software on the software's own support forum. What you need it to do is synchronize the whole iTunes folder, not just media files. The library.itl file contains most of the actual playlist and content data but things also get updated in the artwork folder, and some other files (mostly also in the iTunes folder).

Apple's solution is to have you buy all your music from Apple and use the automatically download new purchases set on both computers. Of course it isn't a complete solution. For example, if you change the rating on one computer it won't change it on the other since all you're doing is downloading a file from a third place (the store) to both other places (computers).

Two unrelated questions, syncing and mail

I have two unrelated questions.
1. I can't seem to for the life of me copy playlists between devices. Both my IPod Nano and my IPhone 4s are connected to my computer right now. Using autofill, I was able to put all the music in my ITunes library on my phone, but when I sellect the playlists, copy and paste them, they won't move and remain only on the IPod and the computer. Can someone please tell me how to get them onto my phone? There are currently no playlists on the phone.
2. My other question is about mail, whenever I send a mail, the phone says that it was rejected by the server and a copy has been placed in my outbox. What's going on here?

1) Is the "Manually Manage Music and Videos" box checked under the Summary tab in iTunes on each of your devices?
2) Try deleting the account under Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendars, and then re-add it.
