Two logical switches within one Catalyst

Hello,
I have purchased two catalyst 3560 switches (with 24 interfaces) on Ebay to prepare for ccnp switch exam. It would be great if I have 4 switches. Is it any possibillity to create two logical switches from one? I mean, not by assigning interfaces to different vlans?

No, it is not possible in Catalyst switches. It is possible in Nexus 7k, but it is another platform at all.

Sorry for my late reply.
It s not the amount of accounts I'm struggling with.
When I create now for both email addresses one account, then I receive the same emails two times.
That is not what I want.
Because on gmx the two email addresses have the same inbox and outbox.
E.g. I can login to my gmx account either with email A or B. It doesn't matter.
Now I want to have the same on my ipad.
One account with both email addresses.

The system is not setup to provide that kind of sservice. If making certain purchases it does ask for an answer to one of your security questions, so that provides a little more security for some purchases, just not all.

You will see a list of video (and audio) tracks. Track one will be the Main Clip, track 2 your new added (superimposed) clip. Click track 2, then click visual settings. From the Scaled Size pop-op menu, choose percent. Then type 50 into the first box. If Preserve Aspect Ratio is turned on you won't need to type 50 into the second box. You have made the pasted footage appear at one quarter its original size. The inset is now hugging the top-left corner of the Main Clip. If you want, you can type numbers into the Offset Boxes to shove it away from that corner (there are 72 pixels to the inch).
If your original Main Clip was required in 16:9, unclick (de-select) Preserve Aspect Ratio, and type in the relevant numbers in the two boxes, in Video Track 1.
PAL (for Europe):
Standard DV (4:3) 788 x 576
DV Widescreen (16:9) 1050 x 576
NTSC (for the USA):
Standard DV (4:3) 720 x 528
DV Widescreen (16:9) 874 x 480
This will not affect video track 2, but if that is also wanted in 16:9 repeat for that track.
You can superimpose, 3, 4, or more such 'overlaps' on the same clip, and spend a happy afternoon tapping away for each track in the Offset Boxes until you have got them all in the right place! You can even overlap them, if you can remember (or note down - hire a secretary to take notes) which track you want on top etc.
Save the completed QT file. Import the completed file into a new iMovie project. Import this into the original iMovie project, substituting the old clip you copied to QT as Main Clip for the new fancy clip you have made.

Data A:D is all cells start at column A thru column D.
There is built-in help using the menu item "View > Show Function Browser" in the search field (top right) you can enter vlookup and you will see the detailed description.
From this we see:
VLOOKUP
(search-for, columns-range, return-column, close-match)
search-for: The value to find. search-value can contain any value type.
columns-range: A range of cells. range is a reference to a single range of cells, which may contain values of any type.
return-column: A number that specifies the relative column number of the cell from which to return the value. return-column is a number value. The leftmost column in the range is column 1.
close-match: An optional value that determines whether an exact match is required.
close match (TRUE, 1, or omitted): If there’s no exact match, select the column with the largest top-row value that is less than the search value. Wildcards can’t be used in search-for.
exact match (FALSE or 0): If there’s no exact match, return an error. Wildcards can be used in search-for.
So... the 2,0 means return the value form the same row as the lookup value but from the 2nd column of the range. 3, 0 means from the 3rd column. the ", 0" means exact match

Two response objects within one servlet...

Heya guys, quite new to java and got stuck for the whole day on this.
I need to combine two responses inside one servlet. One response retrieves picture from the database and it works fine. Another one retrieves text from database also works fine on its own. Second i try to use both end up with hundreds of exceptions.
Any idea what to do, not how...but what???

How to add osd file into app-v package - need to have two osd files within one app-v package

We have app-v 4.6 sp2 I get one app-v existing package which has two OSD files associated.
It is needed for separate license servers located in different sites. I need to create a new app-v package with new version of this application and want to have similar two OSD files associated with it. How to do it?

Using Notepad for creating a new copy of an OSD is OK, but requires some thinking:
Inside the new OSD, the NAME= and/or VERSION= attribute should be modified: you shall not have two applications with the same Name+Version combination
the name of the new OSD file should be added to .sprj file (similar to the original OSD file name) as this motivates the Sequencer to load both OSDs when opening the package
inside the OSD in the <MGMT_SHORTCUTLIST> section the name of the shortcut file (.lnk) shopuld be adjusted
The new OSD won't get added to the MSI (if you are using that) unless you open & save the package in the Sequencer.

Application Virtualization Explorer to add/modify shortcuts (you'd need the Professional Edition for App-V 4)
or
If you already have the package with just one OSD: select the 'Modify an existing packge' in the Sequencer, then use the 'Add
Application' wizard. Quite at the end this will bring you to the 'shortcuts and file type associations' step. In there you can create a new shortcut (resulting in a new OSD). what Is better one modular switch with redundant power, CPU and two module of each model (2 giga modules, 2 fast modules) or two modular switches with one power, one CPU and one module (of each)?

I'm sorry but what are you trying to find out? Maybe you can start with show version, this command is understood on both CatOS and IOS. Post it and then ask again what you want to find out. Some switches are stackable, some comes in chassis that comes with different kinds of modules, and some are fixed chassis like the catalsyt 3550 and below. They are fixed as they do not accept modules. 3750's are stackable in which you can stack them using the stackwise cables that let you manage more up to 9 3750 in a single CLI via stack.

SCVMM Logical switch setup from not using SCVMM

I'm playing around with SCVMM 2012 SP1 with my Hyper-V 2012 setup. I have a test server but I'm looking at migrating from the way I was doing thing to the way SCVMM does things (with logical switch and multiple virtual network adapters per VLAN)
This is how I currently have my production setup:
Each Hyper-V host has two nics
Those two nics are teamed together using Windows 2012 Teaming (Hyper-V port, switch independent)
They were not configured with SCVMM
The Hyper-V virtual switch is named "Trunk"
All VM's are part of the Trunk virtual switch and tagged on the guest level

Created my logical network "Datacenter"
Added my three VLANs to the Network site: (VLAN 1 is management, VLAN 10 is client, VLAN 505 is DMZ)
Created my Native Port Profile with HyperVPort and Switch Independent and mapped it to my network site and used the Datacenter logical network (DID NOT check network virtualization.. don't want to use that)
Created my logical switch with uplink mode TEAM and bound to my uplink port profile
Now on my test host:
I broke the existing TEAM I had. So now it is a server with two nics and the IP it had on one nic (10.10.0.207)
Went to properties of VM
Virtual Switches -> New Logical Switch -> Mapped to my "datacenter" logical switch, picked both physical adapters and mapped to my only uplink port profile I have
New Virtual Network Adapter
Name: Management, Checked this adapter inherits settings from physical, mapped to my Management Network, set to "Host Management" port profile"
New Virtual Network Adapter
Name: Client, adapter inherits is not checked, mapped to my Client Network, set to medium bandwidth port profile
However when I do this:
Error (2940)
VMM is unable to complete the requested file transfer. The connection to the HTTP server HYPERV07.mgmt.local could not be established.
Unknown error (0x80072ee2)
Recommended Action
Ensure that the HTTP service and/or the agent on the machine HYPERV07.mgmt.local are installed and running and that a firewall is not blocking HTTP/HTTPS traffic on the configured port.
What I noticed:
I never lose connectivity to the host during this process
Always failes at 65%
Is this because I don't have a dedicate NIC for management? Also would there be an easy way to migrate from how my production is setup to what I'm trying to do?

I am actually just finishing up but I redeployed and went to 2012 R2. It seemed to be able to do it.
What I did was created one logical switch with one vSwitch (which is a trunk). Then multiple VM Networks that have the different VLAN ID's.
It seemed to work OK except during the creating it wouldnt TAG VLAN 1 on the vSwitch when it created which was needed for it to communicate on my network. Once I saw it creatd it and lost connectivity I manually put the VLAN 1 on the vSwitch and set the
IP address for the host.
So far seems ok but I'm still associating VM's with the Logical Switch I setup and bringing everything back up...

How to create two logical columns within same logical table mapped to same physical column but different filter conditions?
I have a scenario where in,
Physical layer columns
     - table1.employee
     - table1.emp_city
I need a columns in logical layer:
Logical layer - lt1.count_emp_delhi (counts distinct employees whose city_name = 'Delhi')
          lt1.count_emp_mumbai(counts distinct employees whose city_name = 'Mumbai')
My approach:
For Delhi column
1. Create a logical column lt1.count_emp_delhi mapped to the physical column table1.employee
2. Aggregate using countdistinct in aggregate tab.
3. Edit the mapping condition
     3.1. Use the where clause and set table1.emp_city='Delhi'.
For Mumbai column.
Followed the same approach as above but in 3.1 if I change the condition to 'Mumbai', even the delhi column is populated with mumbai count which is ERRONEOUS

1. Create two alias tables for table1 in Physical Layer. Lets say TB_Mumbai and TB_Delhi
2. Create a logical table in BMM layer (D1 Employee Cities )
3. Drag and drop the employee & emp_city columns from both alias tables (TB_Mumbai and TB_Delhi ) into your newly created logical table.
4. Now you can see two Logical Table Sources (TB_Mumbai and TB_Delhi )
5. Now using Where condition, write the condition on each table
NOTE: Don't write any condition on the Physical table Table1.

Is it possible that you are using the same password for the old O2 Study and newer O2 Apple Base Station networks?
If so, Keychain Access is storing the old information about the old network and may be associating it with your AirPort Extreme settings based on the BSSID that William has mentioned.
If that's the case, open Macintosh HD > Applications > Utilities > KeyChain Access and look for a listing with the old network name. Delete this entry. You may need to power down both the computer and the AirPort Extreme and restart them.

is created in uplink mode Team and includes the proper Uplink Port Profile.
When we go to create a logical switch on the Hosts using the two interfaces to be teamed, we get Warning (25259), Error while applying physical adapter network settings to the teamed adapter. Error code details 2147942484.
I reasearched and found articles about setting up NICs in a correct order in the team from least capable to most capable, but in this case we are trying to team two ports on the same adapter... We have tried with Intel X520-2's and Brocade CNA1020's. The
odd thing is, if we try to do it on the onboard 1Gbe Broadcom cards, it works fine.
This happens on both clustered and non-clustered hosts as well. All VMM components are the latest versions with the latest updates.

Two switches only one manageable

Hi,
I have a question that I hope someone can answer. I have a Windows 2003 Server that has 4 QLE8152 CNAs that are teamed (using the QLogic utility) with a single IP address. There are two Nexus switches and the mgmt0 interface on both are plugged into an Extreme switch. The 2 Nexus switches and the single Extreme switch are connected through a port-channel interface on each with 2 physical interfaces from the Nexus. With this configuration I can only get to a single IP address from the 2003 server, every other server on the network sees the network can get to both IP addresses. The 2003 server is plugged into the Nexus, the other systems are not. When I ping from the 2003 I get a reply from one address and no reply from the other. The MAC for the non-responsive mgmt0 interface address shows up on the ARP table on the server and the MAC adress for the server shows up on the non-responsive mgmt for the server. When I do an show ip arp vrf management on the responsive mgmt0 the address for the server shows up as learned through the port-channel and on the non-responsive it shows up on an Ethernet interface. I have split the team so that it is two teams, two interfaces per with a single address on each and I still have the same results. Has anyone seen anything similar to this?

Hi Vinayak,
The server now has two NIC teams with two separate IP addresses. LACP is not set up because of the team settings, they're set for failover. So I have one physical interface active while the other sits in standby. The Teams are plugged directly into the 5Ks and not into a FEX. So I have an Extreme switch upstream and it connects to the two 5Ks through static port-channel on each. The port-channels have two interfaces. vPC is not set up on the switches because they didn't have enough interfaces to set it up. So are you suggesting I set up LACP on the teams and the switches? And as far as the edge switch setting that would be on the uplink port-channels to the Extreme switch? Here is the settings for the interfaces on the Nexus switches:

May we have CC on two of my computers within one subscribtion ?

I have full CC subscribtion and I have Creative CLoud application on two machines as I was instructed by Adobe agent it should be all right. Now it gives me error message and indicates that it is a third machine with my id - while I have given away my older lapton on which , initially, I hade CC agent with this |ID but I have uninstalled both CC agent and app;lication fro it befre I have installed them on my new lapop. SHould I do something online to remove this old machine from Adobe database? What would you suggest. Pls help.
