Two N85 issues

First issue:
It seems that a speck of something, not quite dust but just some little bit of crud has gotten itself stuck inside my screen. Is there a way to remove the screen cover so I can get it out? There are 4 tiny screws, 2 at either end of the dual slid. Will the cover just come off by unscrewing those, or is it more involved than that?
Second issue:
All the periods in the system font (such as file manager stating 3.1 GB free, or radio on 97.1 FM) appear as boxes. This seems to be the only symptom and it's only a minor annoyance, but is there any way to correct this?

It is a brand new phone and unfortunately I am in a new two year contract. Ugh. Is there anyone out there who can help me?

I have done that several times. In fact, every time I call Verizon with my phone problems, they have me do the same things repeatedly. I keep telling them I have already done them but they insist they are SURE it will work this time. It never does. After doing the factory reset and it still not working correctly, they act like they are confused, almost like I am lying. I did what you suggested above on the slim chance it would work this time but it did not. I bought two S5's that day and the other one works perfectly fine. I know I got a bad phone. 1. As a DP functional consultant you need to resolve all the incidents raised in APO DP module( Forecasting, lifecycle planning, master data in APO DP, Planning books, macros , release to APO SNP or R/3 or other systems, CVC maintenance etc) which will also include BW part of SCM -APO related to DP, like data extraction and back up into and from infocubes. You will also support all the interfaces realted to APO DP , for the APO related part of the interface.
You need to reoslve these incidents in the time frames defined by SLAs for the support project.
You will have to also carry out problem management of some of the critical incidents so that incidents do not re-occur.
Further you will have to support Release /Change managment support( if it is part of your contract of Support project).
This willl involve testing changes in quality system, before these are moved to production system.
2 I found 2 crtical issues in APO DP support as below:
2.1 Sales history extraction data interafces from BW system used to have problems : technical problems of interface / jobs in BW running late, functional problems: sales history extract in BW not correct because various reasons
This used to lead to delayed job runs in APO and finally delayed forecasting and ptehr DP processes .
By proactive monitoring by BW team and taking appropriate actions for master data issues, this issue occurance frequency was reduced , but not completely eliminated.
2.2 Another major issue was related to back up process of APO DP planning data into infocubes. Finally by splitting the jobs as per daily, weekly and monthly bakc up procedure , we were able to resolve the issue.

Two FINDER issues

taking a stab at trying to solve two finder issues.
1. is it possible to keep finder from automatically sorting a re-named folder or file when i am in the middle of re-organizing things? say to wait until i have actively clicked a sort button or otherwise clicked out of the finder view? i am always running around trying to find a re-named file or folder in a list of one hundred files when all i really want to do is rename some things and then move them. having this newly named entity automatically do the skeedaddle out of my view in the finder window is a real pita.
2. is there a realiable method that will let folders sort alphabetically with folders and files to sort alphabetically with files? i find it very annoying to have all this mixed up together when i will look for a file with files and for a folder with folders. i tried some terminal editing based upon a posted url that described a solution to this at one point but it does not appear to have taken.

Two major issues

Hello,
We experience two major issues with audio streams. I have
searched this forum and have seen a couple of posts with almost the
same problem. We use an audio broadcast in real time.
1. Delay. When an audio channel gets open and the Encoder
starts streaming everything is fine on the surface. As the time
goes by we notice a delay and the delay gets bigger and bigger. Our
network is fine, the latency between the encoder and FMS is less
than 1 ms. The delay is totaly random. It could not show up for a
day and it could show up within minutes. The only way to fix it is
to restart the channel on the client side (just reset NetStream
object on the client side). Restarting the Encoder also helps.
2. No audio at all after a prolonged usage of Encoder. Here
is the situation. I leave the office and leave the Encoder
streaming into FMS and several clients connected to the channel. I
step into the office next morning and my employees say to me that
they don't here any audio. I take a look at FMS and see the the
stream is still being published and clients are connected. But
there is NO audio at all. I confirm it with 100 percent since I can
see a green audio indicator jumping up and down as the Encoder is
getting audio data from the sound card but the clients do not hear
anything. The fix : restart the channel on the Encoder side.
I have been getting some help from Adobe customer support but
none of that fixed the problems. I would appreciate greatly if
anyone have (had) the similar issues and share how you fixed them.

Two small issues switching from Leopard to Snow Leopard

Hi,
I just recently switched to Snow Leopard from Leopard. I was considering Lion, but heard some bad things about it.
Either way, I noticed two small issues. The first was a hot key set on my Logitech mouse. I had a button preset to all windows expose. In the software
for the mouse driver you can set it to expose specifically. (Its not just setting it to a certain F key). For some reason this doesn't work anymore.
The other problem is when I link my mac book pro to an external monitor thru an hdmi cable, I notice on the tv screen it reverts back to the default
desktop background. Instead of having the picture I set, it shows up on the big screen the blue and purple space image.
Any suggestions?

The Logitech mouse driver said there were no updates available so I figured the expose had something to do
with the new OS system since it now said expose and spaces, which Leopard never had spaces.
So what I did was figured out how to just set it up with the F keystroke and it worked!
When I link my Mac Book Pro to my tv, I use an external keyboard which is more up to date with the quick f keys up top and the arrangement is set up differently [ such as the volume keys are now f 10 and 11 instead of f 3 and 4 or something like that] Hopefully when my mbp is linked to this the keystroke I have set for expose still works. I believe it will.
And as for the desktop bg, after unplugging my tv I notcied it still stayed on the space theme. So I believe I know what may be the issue. I set that bg off of a picture on an external hd, and never saved the image on my computer hd. So I'm assuming it saved the desktop picture in some cache thing or something and once it got linked to an external monitor it got refreshed.
I now how that image on my computer and set, so hopefully the next time I link my computer to the tv, it'll stay.

Two Spry Issues

Widget issue one
I returned to a company where a site was built. The builder used spry sliders or accordians, which are brand new to me. In evaluating the site, I notice that the Spry objects jog a little, left to right or vice versa. Is this normal for this widget or does it signify a problem?

I looked at the article and tried the concepts twice and both times, the menu went crazy.
Let me see if I can repeat what I think it was telling me:
1. set all widths to auto
2. remove all floats
3. set white space to nowrap
Their code examples don't show all the code that the default menu contains. That was confusing.
Any thing that can be added for calrity? Thanks for the help.

Two iPhoto Issues

I'm having two different iPhoto issues...
I have no problem opening iPhoto, both occur when I try to open the picture or video.
First, I have an issue with many of my photos that show up in the library as thumbnails but when I click on them to open a larger view, they open up for just a second and then disappear. iPhoto remains open, but the place where the pic would be is solid black. I can't figure out why this happens with some pics and not others or how to make it stop.
Second, I have a permission issue with mostly videos. When I double click to open the video a box pops up with the "Finder" log on it that gives the following message:
You do not have permission to open the document IMG_0041.MOV.
Contact your computer or network administrator for assistance.
When this happens, I'm logged in as the computer's administrator and I don't know how to fix this either.
If anyone can help in any way, I would greatly appreciate it. Both of these are extremely frustrating.

What version of iPhoto? Assuming 09 or later:
Back Up and try rebuild the library: hold down the command and option (or alt) keys while launching iPhoto. Use the resulting dialogue to rebuild. Include the options to check and repair Library permissions.

Elements 9 Switching from Windows to Mac - two big issues

I've just started looking into the process of switching from Elements on Windows to Elements on the Mac. For the most part, the two versions appear to be quite similar in looks and functionality. There are however two major gaps (in my opinion) in functionality that really make me question whether I'll move forward with Elements on the MAC. Hopefully these are planned enhancements and I was hoping that someone would have some insight on the issue.
First, there is no EXPORT feature that I can see on the Mac version. I used this all the time on Windows(Organizer->File->Export as New File). A huge gap if one uses the product for building personal photo websites.
Second, and maybe I just missed some setting, but the SAVE behavior when you EDIT photos places both the original and Edited version of the photo in the default Save Location as indicated in the product Preferences. So what I have seen is that it takes both the originals and edited versions and moves them. Again, this seems to be a major difference from how the Windows versions handles this. Seems as if the default should be to leave the photo's where they are.
If anyone has a solution to these issues I'd appreciate the help.

Two compile issues with Sun Studio 12 @ x86(_64 = amd64)

The following two issues are absent on Solaris 10 SPARC and all previous Sun Studio versions (8 to 11), but present on both amd64 Solaris 10 and Linux 2.6 versions:
1. mozilla.org's Spidermonkey "JavaScript" (ECMAscript) can't be compiled with it: in file jsinterp.c an endless loop is entered by the optimizer in level -xO1 and higher (!). With no optimization, linking is impossible (unresolved symbols from jsinterp.o), which hints to defunct output.
2. the optimizer (ube) is crashing in sources with a switch with many many case labels in optimization level -xO3 and higher with a segfault.

I have trouble to seperate a reasonable (example) source out of our complex sources showing the second issue --- what I can already tell is, that the following special pragma has to do with it (while I'm now in doubt that the each 256 case labels per switch, two switches in an if else clause have to do with it):

You need to have your BasicTobleModel class implement your JDBCTableInterface interface (even if it doesn't implement those methods itself), if that is how you intend to use that class.

What are the reasons behind these two issues and are there solutions for these glitches???

Please move all files from your phone memory to memory card i.e music , videos anything
then it will work perfectly and about 1st point do you download games from nokia store or from any other external link

Two Lightroom issues: Slow file update from CS3 and jitters

After my recent update to latest version of Lightroom I am noticing two issues. When photos are selected in the film strip for editing the image jitters while it is rendering.
After taking a photo into CS3 for editing, saving the file and returning to Lightroom, the duplicate thumbnail appears in the film strip but it does not update to showing the edits and new psd file extension. I often have to close Lightroom and reopen it to show the update. This has never occurred in the past. I always immediately see the duplicate file with revisions and the new file extension.
Your help is appreciated.

Thank you for your fast response ! I have a 2 TB Time Capsule as well. Maybe I will be moving the images to the Time Capsule and give it a try creating
a new catalogue from that. All kind of files worked very well on all Mac OS X and still do except images. So it doesn't seem to be a Mac OS X / NAS thing
generally. Looks more that LR 5 doesn't like the NAS especially when we take into consideration that the files work perfectly on my MacBook AIR that has
access to the NAS, too but without LR 5.
