Two Part Question- Authorization Error

I have just migrated to a new PC ( working with a Dell Laptop and a WD hard drive. My itunes music folder is on the external WD hard drive)
1. I am getting an error message that some songs are not authorized to play on my ipod. There is a thousand song discrepancy between my Itunes library and my Ipod.
Question 1. Is there a way to determine which songs are authorized and which aren't? ( I assume you could print both lists and compare ...but that would be burdensome.
Question 2. What is the work-around for this? I would like to migrate all of my music onto my IPOD.

You need to play at least a part of songs purchased from the iTMS to authorize them. They won't copy to your iPod until you do this. Playing one song should authorize all of them.

If you've played & authorized them in iTunes and they still skip, try this. De-authorize the computer in iTunes/Advanced menu, then re-authorize it. You re-authorize it by playing one of the songs purchased from the iTunes Music Store within iTunes. It should ask you for your Apple ID and password, and then the computer will be authorized again. Sync your iPod with iTunes, and those songs should play on the iPod once again.
Another common cause of this is not having the latest version of iTunes.
If you are using the latest version of iTunes (6.0.2), then you need to make sure your iPod software is up to date also. Get the iPod Updater software, install it, run it and update your iPod.
When you have done this, authorize your music in iTunes by playing a few seconds of it within iTunes, re-sync your iPod, and it should transfer by whatever synching method you choose.

    It was never completely clear whether it was just hidden or whether Apple ran a download page for iChat 6.
    As the Download for Messages Beta was separate and "Deleted" iChat it would seem it would be another download for iChat 6.
    iMessages will not function as it is only an Account type within Messages and iChat 6 does not have it.
    Therefore messages on the iPhone will not sync to the Mac. (until you get Mountain Lion and Messages in that OS X version).
    Mountain Lion and it's full version of Messages will not sync the iMessages that have happened in between the 14th December 2012  (end date of Messages beta) and the Install of Mountain Lion if you decide on that route.

    8This is a two part question about the creative 6gb Zen? First of all, my battery life dropped very suddenly. One charge I was getting the full 30 hour battery life and the next it dropped to under ten. I tried using their tips on how to extend the battery life and I am still getting less than 0 hours of battery life. Why would it dropped more than half the amount between charges? I tried recharging it after it ran out and still the same thing. Any help?
    Second, (I am adding this question because it might relate to the first in some way) my mp3 player has been behaving strangely lately. For example, some artists sometimes have letters removed or all but the first end up being removed. But, if you reset the player, the artists go back to the full name. Also, my player has been taking a little longer than usual to turn on. It takes about 30 seconds to turn on instead of the 5-0 that I'm used to. Does anyone know why this might be happening?
    My Zen is only 4 months old, and I would be very upset it it's breaking already. Please, if you have any suggestions on how I can fix what's happening, post them. (Even if they?probably won't work, they're worth a try.)

    < This is an unusual one; never heard of it before. All I can suggest is cleaning up and perhaps reflashing the firmware. If it still is doing this, then get the thing exchanged pronto.
    My guess is that the problems are indeed closely related.

    Firstly, what does << do?
    Secondly, if -16777216 was the output of getRGB() in say, BufferedImage class, how should I go about getting just the red part of it?

    Hi everyone I have two questions
    1. My ipod fell into some water a week ago, but its working again now, but the battery is not charging. Is it possible that the battery has been defaulted due to it losing its elctrons?
    2. If so, I want to change the battery myself. What are the steps to diassembling the ipod and putting the battery in?

    If it is a factory defect and you are under warranty you can get it replaced at an Apple Store or by sending it in to Apple. If not you can do an out-of-warranty replacement. Make a Genius Bar appointment at your nearest Apple Store and bring money.

  • Newbie pixelation two-part question

    I want to create video mash-ups from various sources including public domain material. I am finding that a lot of what seems readily available online is  pixelated-looking, even stuff that has had attention paid to it, i.e. made available in multiple formats such as this one - http://www.archive.org/details/Night.Of.The.Living.Dead_1080p
    1st Question - Is anyone aware of the best way to obtain good copies of public domain materials - wether it be sites such as archive.org, torrents, or ripping from dvd's? I have used the .m2ts version of the Night of the Living Dead video available from the Internet Archive (archive.org), and it has a pulsing blocky pixelation effect within Premiere Pro that I managed to get rid of once by saving and rendering, but has returned. It is a rhythmic pulsing of random areas which show either black or white in large pixelated blocks.
    The second part has to do with matching that sort of public domain footage up with my own footage taken with a canon 7d and also with the sequence settings within premiere pro cs5.5. I'm going for a wild and chaotic atmosphere in my video, so there is room for some roughness, but I'm wondering what the best approach would be to start with. i would want to start with the best quality possible.
    2nd Question - Can a mash-up project like I'm talking about be produced to a relatively professional level from these non-licensed non-official online sources? The final export looking good and non-pixelated is my main concern.
    Camera - canon 7d
    Computer - mac pro
    Software - adobe premiere, after effects, soundbooth
    Goal - producing a variety show made up of old film clips and new footage.

  • Two-Part Question (Other & USB 2.0 Cardbus)

    I've been having some minor synching issues when connecting iPhone to my Titanium Powerbook. It only has a USB 1.0 port, but have had many successful syncs. At times iTunes does not see iPhone and I need to power it down and start up a again for it to show up. Going through some troubleshooting with an Apple tech and have possibly discovered that the cable or dock may be the culprit.
    In experiencing this problem, I've had my content oddly wiped from the iPhone twice but not my settings. After I re-synched everything again last night, I now notice that I have approx 2.6GB of "other" files on the iPhone outside of photos and music. I suspect that it is my original batch of photos and music that appeared to be gone as I have not loaded anything substantial beyond that.
    My first question is: How can I wipe just the "other" info without having to start from scratch (assume that's what a Restore will do?)
    Second problem/question: I bought an ADS TECH USB 2.0 hi-speed cardbus for the PCMCIA slot. Plugged it in hoping to achieve 2.0 speed, but upon connecting iPhone, I get the gray restart screen. ADS has no driver for USB beyond those needed for OSX 10.2x.
    Has anyone had success with PC cards to achieve USB2.0 and what brand is it?

    Hi, Rick. Cardbus adapters for FW and USB 2 can't provide power to connected devices the way the built-in USB and FW ports do. Therefore, it's best to connect only externally-powered devices to them. The cable link you mention that runs from one of your USB ports to the adapter card is supposed to provide some power to the ports on the card, but if even externally-powered devices like ytour iPod (its battery was charged up, wasn't it?) aren't working properly, then it sounds as though you probably have some other problem.
    Googling "Q-STOR QU2FCB" turns up quite a few hits containing absolutely no good news. If I were you, I'd return the card for a refund.

  • Mail and photo issues - two part question!

    Hello,
    The Mail function on both iPad and iPhone stopped working a couple of days into a trip we just took out of the country.  I had to sign into my Gmail account to receive and send emails and photos.  It literally quit on June 9....  I've checked all the settings and can't figure it out even when a message appears saying I am not connected and to check settings.....so frustrating.
    In addition..we imported new photos from our camera to photo stream and when I looked for an older photo, I realized that all the old photos were gone!  I have different photos on camera roll...those taken with iPhones (emailed or my own) or my iPad.  Is there a limit on the number of photos Photo Stream will hold - and if so...where did the older photos go??? 
    Thanks for any help you can offer on either or both points. 

    Do you have the source code to the original DOS program? If not, you have a REALLY big job ahead of you trying to figure out what all the bytes represent.

    1 - use iPhoto to browse your photos
    2 - to us iPhoto photos for other purposes in an open/upload dialogue page look in the lower right hand conner under media ==> photos ==> iPhoto and select your photos there

    1. Is it better purchase a domain when setting up SL, or use a bogus domain. And what will be the benefit of purchasing a domain.
    2. I need to setup a SL for a school. They want a Global address book for the Administrator of the school which would hold parents info, but not all teachers would be able to view it. Also they would like to have each classroom have its own address and that would be limited to the teacher in that Grade.. can that be done & how

    If you are going to be using OS X Server with a domain, it is going to be better to set it up with that domain from the very beginning.
    As for the address book, that goes well beyond a post on a support board. You will need to read up on LDAP/Open Directory and probably start with the OS X Server doc file on AddressBook Server. It's only about 25 pages long. but it is also only a start.
    My guess is that all of the access controls will be administered via Open Directory.

    Am I the only one that has been wondering and trying to figuer out how to use the itunes button on my iPhone. Evertime I try to buy a song using my iPhone itunes button I get a box popping up telling me you do not have a itunes acount. I beg to differ on that one. I have had one for along wile. I am using my own WIFI for this at home I was told from the Apple I could do this easy. If I have learned anything about tech nothing is as easy as people say it is. Do I have to be longed in from my computer first if this is true that really defeets the purpes of wileless Please can anyone help me with this problom.
    Also has anyone notest when there iPhone dimes dose the light kinda flicker or studer somewhat as it go's into dim mode. I have just started to notest this. Maby its always done this but if so I guess I have never noest it before now. Thanks.

    I have a question, may be you can help in this:
    Q: In BW Analyzer if we get the following authorization error for some reason:
    ->Authorization Check
    You do not have authorization for Add or Create
    There is a Details tab to see the authorization error details. I need to add documentation for the naming conventions the Users need to use so that it's easy for Users to see what is the reason for the error and what naming convention do they need to use to prevent the error.
    Right now, details tab shows "No Documentation Available". How can I add documentation here? Where do I add this documentation and how do I link it to the Authorization Error Message's Details tab?
    I tried running RSRTRACE to see which function modules/programs get called but that does not help. It gives me the following two function modules which are being called when I get the error message and when I click the details tab:
    RZX0_MESSAGES_GET
    RZX0_MESSAGE_H_GET
    and surprisingly when I try to look them up in SE37 they do not exist … What can be the reason for this?
    Is there a system transaction, like .. SM02, in BW where we can define or create authorization error message documentation for BEx Analyzer? How do I link it to the Authorization Error message?

    Message Class is R9 and message number is 108
    We have to define the Long Text and save it under the RSZ class.

    You won't be able to change your rescue email address until you can answer your questions, you will need to contact Support in your country to get the questions reset.

    When they've been reset you can then use the steps half-way down the HT5312 page that you posted from to correct your rescue email address for potential future use

    The note says:

    Please help me as i new in SAP XI . I am unable to logged on in Integration Builder with any user i tried pisuper, sapuser but still got the same error "Authorization error, unknown username or password" . I check with T-Codo SU01 but pisuper does not exist so i create one user and assign him SAP_XI_Developer , SAP_XI_Configuration etc but still i am unable to login so kindly requesting you to please help me as quickly as possible.
