Two Product Hierarchies ?

Hi Gurus,
Kindly can any of had used two product hierarchies in same instance one for global & another for local country, if yes then hw was it maintained and what is the implications in planning & finance etc.
Thank you very much in Advance
and answers will rewarded with points.
Kind Regards
RK

Same instance means same client too, right?
Actually this question should belong to CO or SD forum since product hierarchy is mainly used there.
Baseline;  it is possible to maintain globally (at basic data view) and locally (at sales view) differently.  Most of the data used for sales reporting, pricing, and COPA reporting will use at local.  You can also do the map using derivation in COPA to obtain "global" product hieararchy.
Hope it offer few helps.

  • Product Hierarchies

Hi, I have two levels of Product Hierarchies. I am trying to find the PROD1 and PROD2 separately. In SAP the table T179 can show the hierarchies. But it shows the entire product hierarchy.
Can any one let me know the tables to find PROD1 and PROD2 separetely? I mean when I pass the product hierarchy to that table then it should show two levels.
    Regards,
    Raman

    Can you check table V_T179?

    Hello Gurus, Experts
    Any help/tips here ...

  • How to sort two different hierarchies in one dimension

Does anyone know of a way to sort two different hierarchies in one dimension and still make drilling work correctly? We have two hierarchies in our item dimension; one called category and the other origin. Simplified, it looks like this:
    CATEGORY
    Hardware (100)
    ..PCs (100.100)
    ....PC 1
    ....PC 2
    ....PC 3
    ..Monitors (100.200)
    ....Monitor 1
    ....Monitor 2
    ....Monitor 3
    Software (200)
    ..Big (200.100)
    ....ERP package
    ....CRM package
    ..Small (200.200)
    ....Solitaire
    ....Mine Sweeper
    ORIGIN
    Vendor A (10)
    ..Site A1 (10.10)
    ....ERP package
    ..Site A2 (10.20)
    ....PC 1
    ....Monitor 3
    Vendor B (20)
    ..Site B1 (20.10)
    ....PC 2
    ....PC 3
    ....Monitor 1
    ....Monitor 2
    ....Solitaire
    ....Mine Sweeper
    ..Site B2 (20.20)
    ....CRM package
We have numeric codes at each level above item which I represents the sort order (the number in parentheses at each level), and the items themselves should be sorted according to item number. I have implemented this (level code/item number) as an attribute in AWM making this the default sort order. However, as item is the lowest level in each hierarchy, I have only been able to list the items under the correct level in one hierarchy. As soon as I drill using the other hierarchy, the levels above item are sorted correctly, but the items appear at very odd places...
The AWM documentation states that if default order is not selected on any attribute, hierarchies are sorted in the order they are created. Is there a way to control this order?
Any input will be greatly appreciated!

  • How to use Multiple Product Hierarchies in Shopping Cart creation

    Dear SRM Experts,
We have an issue in using multiple Product Hierarchies while creating a shopping cart. Need your help to resolve this.
Our SRM system is integrated with 2 ERP back-end systems. In material replication we have created 2 hierarchies for different ERPs and their product categories are stored in respective hierachies.
    Example:
    EBPMATCLAS is for ERP1
    EBPSERVCAT is for ERP2
Now when I create shopping cart, it allows only those products which are part of EBPMATCLAS because of below configuration..
We cant configure multiple hierarchies for purchasing so we are not able to use both Hierarchies simultaneously.
Request you to help with the possible solution to use multiple hierarchies.
    Thanks
    Rajan

    Hi Rajan,
You not need to create 2 hierarchy ID. Inside the R3MATCLASS you can see the reference with both banckends.
    Ex:
    R3MATCLASSECCCLNT001
    R3MATCLASSECCCLNT002

  • Can a same member be in two product group?

    hi,
Can we plan for a member which is part of two  Product group.  Right now I see when transfer demand from Second PG,  the calculations and PIR out of first PG is getting overwritten.  My requirement is to add to existing PIR rather than overwriting it.   Is it possible?
    regards
    Rav

I think you're confusing Albums and Projects.
each time i connect my camera to the laptop, i import the photos to a new album,
No you don't. You can't import to an Album, you import to a Project. A Project has a Box like icon. Projects are a reflection of the organisation if the originals on the HD. Move a shot from one project to another and the file moves too. You cannot have a photo in more than one project +without duplicating the file+.
Albums, on the other hand, have an icon like a Blue Book. You can have Albums that refer within a single project and Albums that refer all over the Library. Create an album (File -> New -> Album) and drag the images you want to it. The Files remain in their respective projects and are simply linked to the Album. Photos can be in 100's of Albums with no duplication.
I have previously created an album called 'the best shots of 2010',i now want to add some photos to this album
Use ratings and a Smart Album and do this automatically.

  • Free goods secquence with customer hierarchie and product hierarchie

    Hi  guru's,
I'm currently working with a secquency for free goods with customer hierarchie ans product hierarchie, but is giving me a lot of problems of dums ,  I think that SAP standard doesn't allow it because the customicing is diferent than the secquence for pricing that has 2 more fields open: V_T682Z-FSTST and V_T682Z-MBWRT that could allow me to set the levels of the hierarchie. Despite it works with the same table T682Z.
Has anybody had the same problem as me? Can you help me please.

  • Same logical system name for two productive systems - BW, PI issues

    Dear all,
we have a productive system which serves two companies (different company codes). This system is connected both to BW and PI for both companies.
There is a requirement that these two companies must use their own system, so the whole landscape (dev,qa,prd) will be copied to different systems (different server with different system id).
As a result of the above procedure we wll have two different productive systems, as required, but we wll have the same logical system name for the two productive systems, which must be both connect to bw and PI.
However as far as I know:
    - we cannot connect systems with same logical system name to BW,PI
    - we cannot convert logical system name of the one of the two productive systems as they are productive and so this is not supported.
How can we overcome the problem?
    Please advice.

    > However as far as I know:
    > - we cannot connect systems with same logical system name to BW,PI
    > - we cannot convert logical system name of the one of the two productive systems as they are productive and so this is not supported.
    Right.
    > How can we overcome the problem?
Since you split up systems (or plan to) I highly recommend booking an SLO service (http://service.sap.com/slo). Those people have to the tools and the knowlege to help you. I would not do this on my own.

  • Two production  orders at the header level one for one single requirement

Hi Gurus, Please provide me your valuable suggestion on the issue.
*Client wants to have a only two production  orders at the header level one for one single requirement .*
    1) Manufacturing Order u2013 In this order for Finsihed prodcut system should pick all the assemblies whcih are manufactured inside i.e depending on the material type.\
    2) Assembly order u2013 In this order system should pick all the assemblies whicih need to be assembled also procured or subcontracted items in this order against depending on the material type.
It means for Sales order of  5 EA there is going to be only 2 order ( MFG & assy order).
    For Example.
L45-7000 is the header material now client wants only two production orders one Manufacture order and anothe Assmebly order , thet dont want to use Phantom assembly concept and also multiple production orders for  SFG.
Please confirm if this requirement can be mapped in SAP ?
    Thanks...

    Hi Shishir,
As soon as each order is related to only one material, if your manufactured (or purchased) assemblies are of different materials, you will have a separate order for each material rather than a single order for all manufactured assemblies. I don't thing all your assemblies are of the same material - thus I would say no, it is not possible to map your requirement.

  • Product Hierarchies in COPA

    Folks,
I'm trying to figure out how to configure the product hierarchies in CO-PA in ECC 6.0 version. I saw an OSS note -62690- that talks about an "automated" solution for the more current releases. However, it doesn't give specifics around how it works.
Could someone please explain how it works step by step. I also keep getting this information message that says :
Product hierarchy field PAPH1 cannot be adapted to the new structure Message no. KE691
When I try to add the hierarchy characteristics from Table MARA, (like PAPH1, PAPH2 etc.), I realize that they are not available anymore. What could be causing this problem? Any ideas on a solution?
Your help will be greatly appreciated
    Baris

    Hi Maruthi,
thank you for your feedback. But I don't think that answers my question. The product hierarchies are already maintained in the material master. So, I don't think they need to be maintained again using the transaction KEDE. Am I missing something here?
    Thanks,

  • Transferring data between two production servers

    HI All,
I have read weblogs in transferring scenarios from Dev to Qual to Prod.
But I have a different requirement in which I have to transfer data from one production server to another production server without distrubing the first production server.
Say A and B are two production servers, I wanted to transfer data from A to B on daily basis.
Please give me some ideas on this....
    Thanks
    Veni

    Hello,
I would suggest to use IDOC for transferring data (master \ transaction ) ... to do that you need to setup logical system (prod b) and RFC connection to connect to system prod b ...
Also distributional model need to setup for pushing the outbound idoc into RFC connection through receiver port.
    Thanks

  • Data Guard two Production sites

I am exploring the best (and least expensive) way to configure Data Guard in our environment.
Has anyone had two production environments, each in a different location and set up Standby Data Guard databases across each.
    For example -
Site 1 - Prod RAC 1 with database 1 and a standby for database 2
Site 2 - Prod RAC 2 with database 2 and a standby for database 1
Is there any load to the resources in either cluster when also maintaining a standby database along with production?
I searched Metalink and was not able to find information on this type of configuration.
    Thanks!

Yes, your understanding is correct. I simplified our environment for the question, actually we have two sites in different geographic locations.
Site 1 is production and Site 2 is Development, but we want to protect each site for Disaster Recovery, etc.
Site 1 has a three node rac cluster with a 'PRD_A' database and Site 2 has a three node rac cluster with a 'PRD_B'.
So, I would like to create, just as you said, a standby for PRD_A in the Site 2 cluster & create standby for PRD_B in the Site 1 cluster.
And, actually, each site has 2-3 databases running that I would like to create standby's for. This is why I am wondering if anyone has done this and if the load would be an issue. Yo Yo got it ;-)
    See PRD_A has 3 instances let suppose PRD_A1, PRD_A2, PRD_A3.
    PRD_B has 3 instances let suppose PRD_B1, PRD_B2, PRD_B3
So for PRD_A you can create either one standby database as PRD_A_STBY.
or you can create three standby databases as PRD_A1_STBY, PRD_A2_STBY, PRD_A3_STBY on CLUSTER B
For PRD_B you can create either one standby database as PRD_B_STBY.
or you can create three standby databases as PRD_B1_STBY, PRD_B2_STBY, PRD_B3_STBY on CLUSTER A
But Recovery process will be performed any one of the standby of one database, Remaining standby databases will sit idle.
    (or)
You can have only one standby database, So the database itself clustered so you can add instances if in case of Switchover/Failover.
Here you will have two database on each instance.
    Here the things
    1) how much RAM
    2) is it server capable to hold two instances?

  • Photoshop Elements 7.  Two product numbers? What's the difference?

I was looking to buy Adobe Photoshop Elements 7.
But it seems like there are two model/product numbers for Elements 7.
One is 65026616 and the other is 65026821.
The 65026616 is listed as Adobe Photoshop Elements 7 - Mini Box - Retail
The 65026821 is listed as Adobe Adobe Photoshop Elements 7 - Retail
Does anyone know what the difference between these two product number is other than one being a mini box?
I found these two versions on newegg. Amazon has the mini box product number.

IIRC, Adobe has two different packages...one for shipping that's smaller
and lighter and the other for store shelves that's bigger and harder to
    steal.
