Two profiles on my account - One not mine

Hi 
I havent used Skype for a while but recently upgraded to Win8 so thought Id try the app.
I had to reset my password as I must have forgot it, however when I received the email it was address to an Indian name and not mine! I then clicked the link to reset and it had two profiles, one mine and another I didnt recognize.
Any thoughts? What should I do next?

If you experience difficulty reaching Skype Customer Service, try again using a different web browser and/or choose a different path through the various drop-down menu options presented. Also, look to approve a pop-up dialogue box which would connect you to start an instant message chat with a customer service agent. If you have pop-ups blocked in your browser settings, this will also impede reaching an agent.

    You only have to clone your mac when using certain cable modem.  You don't clone your mac when using dsl.

    Did you purchase the phone from someone? B/c if you don;t know the info for the person's apple id then you will not be able to get access to that info and you can't do the updates for those apps

  • Two seperate I-tune accounts:one for each of my Ipod minis?

    I wish to have my i-tunes music on one ipod and my podcasts and books on another. I tried to set things up so I could only have classical music checked off and set up a new folder with my name on it, but eveything checked and uncheckedd was loaded on it. I then couldn't erase the new folder?? Is it possible to get two accounts from I-Tunes, is that my solution?

  • Home pc shares two apple accounts.  How do I back up my ipad with correct account?  It always backups my husband's account and not mine.

    We have one home pc that two of us share for itunes accounts. We each have our own apple id that is used when we download apps/music either through wi-fi or directly onto home pc.  We now have an ipad and we are wanting to transfer data from my ipod info to my  ipad. When we sync the new ipad, my husband's files/apps/music/etc. loads to the ipad instead of my data.  When I set up the ipad, I entered my Apple id username/password, and when I open itunes on my computer, I log in with my username/password; however, after syncing the ipad, it is my husband's stuff that is on my ipad.   What are we doing wrong?

    How my wife and I do this is to have 2 separate log ins to our Mac.  Each side has it's own iTunes set up and logged into out own account.  So, when I know she's going to be hoarding the Mac I log into my iTunes account on my side and toggle (Upper right of screen for users) back to her side.  So, anything I add to my iPad is wirelessly synced to my account. 
    On a Windows system I believe you should be able to do the same thing.  So, I think it sounds like your logged into your system under the main user account and logging in and out of iTunes.  I think in those cases it only keeps the primary users apps.  Anyone else care to chime in?

    I have a need for an AR Invoice for Services to have two items on it, different descriptions, same GL account, to make seperate postings for each line. As of now it is consolidating to one GL entry for both lines.
    Any way to do this?

    Hello,
    As per the current system working, even though you have 2 different description lines with a same G/L account in the AR invoice, it won't be displayed as separated lines in Journal Entry. System will summarize the amount by account automatically.
    May be a custom query could help you achieve the result in a report.

  • Two phones, 2 apple accounts, one computer. totally different apps

    Hi there,
    I wondered if anyone had any help about this. In the sync apps section my apps are all there. If I plug my wife's iphone in then it tries to wipe all her apps and replace them with mine. This would get me in mega trouble so any help much appreciated. We have 3GS iphones with ios 4.

    Last night i synced my mum's iphone on my laptop to update to the new OS 4.2 - It took about 40 minutes to back up then restored and reset.
    After this is said restore from back up .... with a list.
    The list didn't contain my mums backup only my previous backups on my account and my mums apple account no longer exists not only in itunes but all together.
    I have been through the hard drive on my back and there is no data anywhere which shows the time and backup of my mums iphone.
    The iphone is completely wiped and the apple account no longer exists, can someone help me and tell me if there is a way i can get the data back? i have used the iphone back up extractor and it isn't there - it must be somewhere as it took forever to backup.

    I just realised that I was hacked by someone.  The hacker has been sending messages (personal and otherwise) on my account to some of my contacts.  I changed my password. Has anyone out there experienced this?

    Lots of people get their account hacked from time to time, it happens, usually you're just unlucky.
    Now you've changed your password you should've been logged out everywhere. However, if you still think your account is compromised, please follow the steps here.
    In the long term, take a look at this thread detailing ways you can try and prevent it from happening in the first place.

    How can I get back deleted contacts from iCloud?

    If both phones were syncing contacts with the same account, that's normal.  iCloud syncs changes on one devices to all other devices sharing the account.
    If you don't have another backup source for your contacts, you may be able to restore them from your iCloud backup by following Winston Churchill's user tip here: https://discussions.apple.com/docs/DOC-4841.

  • ICal works in new account but not mine !!

    Hi Mac newbie here
    Read a load of advice here (thanks all) and have got as far as setting up a new account and opening iCal which worked great. When I go back to my own account iCal is frozen, won't open help, won't allow me to delete a calendar, has none of my entries, has nothing in the left hand panes etc.
    I am getting a bit bored with trying to find solutions in "MacWorld" that I was quite easily able to resolve in PC world. So, any advice on where I go with this iCal issue (rather than more generally!!!) would be very gratefully received. Thanks.

    What (apart from the new user account) have you tried? Are you running any apps in your account that would not have been running in the new account?
    Have you tried deleting com.apple.iCal.plist (and any others - com.apple.iCalanything.plist) from your Library/Preferences?
    If that doesn't help try moving your Library/Calendars folder to the Desktop.

    My husband and I both have the Samsung Galaxy S3. His phone has been roaming for days now, and my phone hasn't been. How can this be? We have a share everything plan that is nationwide. Will we be charged for roaming?

    Thank you for taking the time to reach out to us. I am sorry to hear that you are having trouble with your husbands line. We can definitely make sure to resolve this. Are you currently out of the country or near the border of another country? If not make sure that his LTE/CDMA is turned on in the Mobile Networks option of settings. If that is set up properly you can also turn off the mobile network on the device, then power the device on and off and turn it back on. Test this out and let us know if you see any change. If nothing we will proceed with different options. Overall, as long as you are not near an international area you will not be charged any kind of roaming fees.

  • Can't get into one of my two profiles. Says I'm offline and am not

    I had Firefox 3.latest. I was urged via Firefox to install Version 4.0. I did -- three times and restarted the computer once. I have two profiles. The first one I clicked on (in the dialogue box after clicking the Firefox icon) came up perfectly. When I closed down that profile, I attempted to enter my other one via the dialogue box. A screen came on with, in theory, my home page which is Google, but when I either tried to use Google or tried to access any of my bookmarks, I got nowhere except a dialogue box saying I was offline and should uncheck the "work offline" box. It was never checked so I couldn't uncheck it and I can't get into that profile which is my work profile. How do I reinstall 3.X so I can work and access my e-mail, etc.

    You are running into the Activation lock and you need to enter the Apple ID and password for the account last used on the iPod.

    To recovery use of that account:
    Why do I see the message "This Apple ID has been disabled for security reasons” when I enter my password?
    This message means that someone was unable to sign in to this account multiple times. The Apple ID system will disable the account to prevent unauthorized people from gaining access to your information. You'll need to follow the instructions on My Apple ID to reset your password.

    Would like to have two different face time accounts, one on mac book pro and one on ipad.  Can I have two different face time accounts on one apple id?

    You simply need to have a separate e-mail identifier for each.  One e-mail address would be associated with the mac book, the other separate and distinctive e-mail address would be associated with the i pad.  This is done under one single apple id.  Essentialy, the e-mail addresses are the FaceTime calling numbers for each.

    Hi Ashish ,
    The GR/IR account is an intermittant account where the liabilities like amounts payable to the vendor are temporirily credited. The soon we do the Logistic invoice verification , the corresponding entry in the GR/Ir account is nullified, and the vendor is credited. This being the functionality , the second  account for Gr/IR is redundant. But still , as far as the function of basic business logic in Finance , its still acceptable. But while customising , the automatic account determination , you will not be able to have this second account - simply because , you can not define posting rules for GR/IR account.(This is the learning I had in my first implementation project. In fact system allows you to define posting rules. But it will behave erratically while testing. I feel that the system logic for this may be that , if we have to post a GR/Ir account , its mandatory... and we need not have any rules  ). This being  the case , you will not be able to achieve the functionality that , you like to post to one GR/IR account for imports and  other account for the domestic purchases.
    Simply put, you may have problems in automatic account determination if you have  two GR/IR accounts. Its suggestible to work with  single GR/IR account only.

    You are most welcome. It would be best to delete those apps and re-purchase them (or re-download them if they were free) under you own Apple ID. That way you will be able to continue to update them, and will also be able to access them under your Purchase history if you need to download them again, or download them to another device.
