Two profiles on one ipod

I let my niece use my ipod touch to listen to music and play games. I'd like to set it up so that she cannot have access to the internet or my mail or my messages. Is there a way to set up a separate profile for a second user with restrictions?

No. iDevices are single user devices. They have no multi-user capabilities. It's One Person/Device.

I have two iPads and one iPod Touch and they are using iTunes on the same computer. I have not been able to backup the second iPad. Is there a reason this is happening? iPad one is an iPad 1 and the second is an iPad 2 not sure if this has something to do with it. I just tried to upgrade to IOS 5 and when it went to back up it gave me an error code (-5000). I tried to back up using iTunes and it told me that my backup was corrupted and to delete it and try to back up again. When I went into the device portion where I was instructed to go to delete the backup I found that there was no backup for my iPad just the iPad 1.
I have synced many times and all of the apps, podcasts, music, etc... show up in iTunes, and iTunes recognizes that is is the second iPad but there is not a backup for it.

Can I have two accounts for one IPod touch?

I have two homes, two computers (one in each home), and one IPod touch. I already have an account set up on one computer in the one home. I have a second home that I'm at about one week per month. I just want to be able to buy itunes at the second home and download them also to my one IPod. In other words I want to be able to get ITunes from two computers to the just one IPod. Is that possible? My son doesn't think I so.

I would like to take my playlist with me to work on my ipod and put it onto my work computer. Can one ipod be used with two computers? I took my apple CD to work and tried it and it didn't work. Actually, I had to bring my shuffle home and restore it. any thoughts?

I just got another computer, i have iTunes on my laptop with two iPods on it but i was wondering if I could set it up so that I can hook them to the new computer with the same songs and updates as the other with out it erasing my ipod. If you want to connect and use an iPod on more than one computer (For instance you have one at home and maybe a laptop or PC you use at work) you can change the update preference to "manually manage songs and playlists. By doing this, you can listen to your iPod at work where you may have iTunes but no songs on the computer. You can use as many iPods as you like on a computer, the limit of 5 computers you are referring to is the number of computers that you can have authorised at any one time to play iTMS purchases:

Tamron 17-50mm 2.8 has two profiles, which one to use?

Well my Tamron lens loads in Camera Raw since the latest update, but there are two and by the description sound like the identical lens...

Profile: Canon 40D (I have an XSi / 450D)

Profile: Adobe
So what's the difference between these? Camera Raw chooses the Adobe one. Lens Correction leaves me both options because they both match the image sensor size. Is the Adobe one from forum users and the Canon one from Canon?

The one profile with the "Adobe" name in it is the official Adobe profiles. They were created in collaboration with Tamron from the lens design data. The other one is created via the normal calibration method using ALPC on a Canon 40D camera.
You could locate the specific profile on the file system by selecting the profile in PS CS5 lens correction filter and go to the flyout menu Show in Finder/Explorer. You could delete the profile that you don't need or simply put a '~' prefix to the lens profile file name. And PS CS5 will ignore loading the profile the next time.You could also do this to a len profile folder name so that the entire folder is skipped for profile scanning.

I have two computers. Laptop and Desktop, both of them are PC platform an I have an 30GB iPod video (newest one). I am currently using to sync iPod with laptop. My question is if I can use iPod simulatelously (not sure about spelling :)) with desktop. I need this because I have a most of videos on my desktop HDD.

You can't "sync" that is automatically update an iPod from multiple libraries or computers. If you want to connect and use an iPod on more than one computer you need to change the update preference in the iPod Summary tab to "Manually manage music and videos" and click Apply.

Two Macs and One iPod Touch?

What is the best way to use an iPod Touch with 2 Macs?
I mean in terms of keeping the contacts, iTunes library, and iFoto library etc sync'ed between 2 Macs? I don't want to use MobileMe because of the size of the libraries and being able to work offline.
I am considering buying a MacBook Pro for traveling. But at home I use my MacPro.

Personally, I have my iTunes and iPhoto on an external hard drive that I can plug into whatever computer I'm using at the time.
Or you can search this forum and/or iTunes help for "two computers, one Touch," "using the Touch with two computers," or something along those lines, and you should find some information. I can't remember, but I think I found info in iTunes help.

Is there a way to synchronize my iPod with 2 computers, so that my music us up-to-date on both?

You would have to install the music on both computers. If you sync your ipod with a second computer the ipod will ask if you want to use the ipod with this computer, if you say yes, it will remove all the songs and put them back on again using the library on the second computer. The ipod sync's one way, from computer to ipod. It will not sync ipod to computer. There are third party applications that will allow to do this. I have not used this application, so I can't say how well it works. Give it a try and let me know?

I have two computers (mac and win) and want my itunes songs on both machines. Actually the ipod works with the win computer. How can I get the songs from the ipod to the mac? How can I transfer/sync these songs over the ipod on both systems.

Probably the easiest way to use an iPod on both Mac and Windows computers is to format the iPod (using iPod Updater) using the PC. This will force your iPod to use the Windows file system (FAT32) which both the Mac and PC can read from and write to without the help of additional software. Of course then all your software updates for the iPod will have to be done on Windows.
If you need to use a Mac (HFS+) formatted iPod on a Windows PC, you'll need to install some 3rd party software such as XPlay 2.0 (which you can get from MediaFour Software). This will enable your Windows PC to read a Mac-formatted iPod.
However, please be aware that Apple does not officially support cross platform use.

Two learning dancers, one iPod

My wife and I just started ballroom dance lessons, the question I have is this. We want to practice on a busy dance floor but to our own music. Example, rumba music is playing but we want to practice the tango, how? Can we use a splitter and have one bluetooth headphone set and one set of earbuds plugged into the same iPod? Has anybody done something similar?
