Two Questions one Sidebar (finder) one Display

Under Places in the Sidebar I deleted the Music Reference with the blue iTunes note icon, anyone know how to get it back? I can add my iTunes folder but then it uses just a blue folder icon.
The second is when i quite most applications but not all the desktop display splits into two images each taking half the display then back to normal. Have changed desktop image with same result. I've also seen some other threads however those seem to be related to multiple displays.

Go to finder, click Go>Home, and drag the folder called "Music" (without the quotes) into your sidebar, under "Places" (without the quotes).
The above comment is the correct fix. While there isn't a preference for the "Music" folder in the sidebar, it is easy to add back. Just drag the folder called Music from your home directory into the sidebar and your music folder (with the music note for an icon) is back again.

It's the password for your outgoing mail in your Mail account. You need to set it up in your Preferences.

CSS layout - two questions on sidebar

So I'm having trouble with my sidebar:

1. I want to get it to stretch to the bottom of the div it's
in, with a 10 px margin on the bottom, basically, stretch exactly
the same distance down as the main content div. I get the
impression this is tough in CSS, but there has to be some work
around? I don't think I can use faux columns in this instance,
though if it's possible please explain how.
2. This isn't really a big deal, but it'd be nice to have a 1
px black line on only the left side of my sidebar (I have one drawn
onto the actual images, it'd be nice to do that in CSS). Is this
possible?

Firefox is much closer to what I want, but I'm not sure why
IE is showing up like it does. Seems the margins are changing and

Two questions about the future 17" display

1. Will we have still an option for 1680x1050? Is there any official info about that?
2. Is matte screen officially out of the picture?
I'm PC user for life, but there is none 17" notebooks besides VAIO and MBP that meets my standards and since VAIO's are not available with matte screen I was willing to buy a MBP and run Win XP in it. But now I read that it's not available with matte screen and 1680x1050 resolution and both are must features for me as I'm graphic desinger and I can't stand any random extra shapes on my screen. 1680x1050 for reason that 1920x1200 is way too much for 17" screen.

And the answer to both these questions is that I'm not talking about Apple's Time Machine software.
Apple's resolutions are quite sharp on the 17" matte displays. I've never had a problem with them.

If the displays on the current 17" won't suffice, look to see if the older 17" with matte displays do suffice for you. If neither does, visit http://www.apple.com/feedback/ for suggestions.
I would add, higher resolution on displays does NOT mean higher image quality. I've seen cases where too many pixels per inch were added, actually worsened the image quality of the display.

Two questions, maybe stupid ones

Two iPhoto questions if that is OK.
The first one may be irrelevant depending on the answer to the second.
By way of background,I organised my digital photos on previous computers into a directory by year, this has been on PCs until now.
Then I name a subdirectory with the name of the event, then if I modify any of the images I put those in a further subdirectory and so on.
So for example I may have, on my PC:
C:\photos\2008\Paul's wedding\worked images\printed images\weddingprint1.jpg
And I have photos from about 2003 to 2009 and each year has between 5 and 20 events and all have a folder with "worked" images.
This system is obviously a bit clunky but has worked for me.
So now I am on a MacBook Pro and have copied everything over which as gone without a hitch. I have imported the images into iPhoto and left the original copies on the MacBook Pro HD.
I like the directory structure that I use and want to keep it because it fits with previous backups, I can navigate if I share the drive over a network and so on.
However iPhoto copies the photos into its own structure, it organises everything by year as I do, but then if you look in terminal there is only one level of subdirectory. So I have, for example
my-macbook-pro:2009:worked_1
my-macbook-pro:2009:worked_2
my-macbook-pro:2009:worked_3
With no idea which each refers to unless I go into iPhoto.
This is a pain in the neck for wanting to move the photos at a later date.
So I am currently keeping all the photos in my original structure and letting iPhoto keep its own. This doubles the amount of disk space needed.
So, that was a bit of a long story.
Here are the two questions.
1. Is there a way to get iPhoto to work with my directory structure?
2. Is there any way to get iPhoto to "watch" a directory, day one called "digital photos" and all its subdirectories and add any new photos to the iPhoto library. Picassa on the PC does this. It means that all I have to do is copy photos from my camera and iPhoto will automatically update.

I am not sure how it is more complex. Granted, importing from your camera to iPhoto directly is a "one step" process, but dragging and dropping your photos from your desktop (or a folder) into iPhoto after importing them from the camera is not what I would call complex.
Deleting seems straight forward as well. Pick the photo in iPhoto and delete it. However, my situation is probably different than most people. I never used iPhoto much on previous versions because I hated the way it organized stuff and didn't like that you HAD to copy your stuff to the iPhoto library files. Well I think there is the big difference between us. It sounds like you use iPhoto as your primary photo tool for importing and organizing your library. I do mine manually and use iPhoto as an accessory for other secondary stuff so I don't depend on iPhoto to be able to find stuff or when moving from one system (new computer, new hard drive, new operating system, etc.) to another.

Yep, that I am aware of. My personal preference is to NEVER alter the original files from my cameras at all. Always work on copies. So I do find iPhoto fun to make quick edits to photos I add to it like cropping knowing that I am not actually altering the original in any way.
Likewise, if I do any editing outside of iPhoto it will again be on a copy for a specific reason, so I won't need those edits to be back flushed into iPhoto. If I do I will just add the new edited version back to iPhoto.
Of course shouldn't we really be more concerned with the secret government agencies tracking our photos via the face identification feature of iPhoto? {reference to another user's post in a different thread Terence and I both commented on}

there's no way for you to identify which machines have or had cs3 activated, and you can no longer purchase a cs3 license from adobe.
you can request an activation count reset (Contact Customer Care) and deactivate your cs3 on all your computers. you can then install and activate on up to two computers.

Two Questions, 2 ipods one comp, and video organization.

Two questings That I have. One, my wife might be getting another IPOD and just wondering how it all works with hooking up two ipods to one computer. My friend tried hookin his up to mine and it just said something about erasing all he has and putting my library on his. So is it possible to have two different libraries, for two different ipods, on one comp? SECOND question. Is there anyway I can organize the Video area a little better. maybe make another folder or section, you know one for podcast, one for movie trailers, one for featurettes instead of having them all in one spot?

I think you have to go into itunes settings and select update only checked songs or manual update only. Sharing the same computer while managing different music lists between two or more ipods is do-able but a pain. I recommend keeping a seperate computer for each ipod whenever possible. And never delete the music on your computer as that's your first line of backing up defense.

Two copies of iTunes on one computer?

A pretty stupid problem, but I can't figure it out. It appears that there are two copies of iTunes on one of our computers--or at least, iTunes somehow displaying two different profiles. If I have "start iTunes automatically" checked, when I connect the iPod, iTunes opens, and it shows the location of the Library file as on the workstation's local HD. Conversely, if I use the shortcut icon on the desktop to open iTunes, it points to a Library location on a network shared drive (which is where I want it to be).
I cannot for the life of me figure out where the two copies, if they exist, of the iTunes.exe file are located. The Properties for the shortcut iTunes icon is grayed out in the "find Target" box. I can find one copy of iTunes in the local c:\Programs\iTunes folder. Control Panel Add/Remove Programs list shows only one iTunes program. Is there any way to figure this out?

I am agree with your post. but still my question is not answered . i am looking for information about what are the things need to modify in current system (either on OS , DB or SAP side) before start of new instance installation for Quality server.
let me explain bit more.
If current system having database name Dev now if i install new instance of SAP on same H/W with name QLT for SID as well as Database name. what are the things i need to change prior installation start so that not any conflict will happen (on OS , DB & SAP)

Use NVL or COALESCE:
NVL (col_a, col_b)
Returns col_a if col_a is not NULL; otherwise, it returns col_b.
Col_a and col_b must have similar (if not identical) datatypes; for example, if col_a is a DATE, then col_b can be another DATE or it can be a TIMESTAMP, but it can't be a VARCHAR2.

Classic Report with a two-line row, the second one as a drop down?

Using APEX 4.0 is it possible to make a classic report layout that has row items sorted in 2 rows? The first row for each SQL record set row looks like the classic report 'normal' row, while the second one contains just one single column value. This second row is supposed to be hidden and should be displayable by clicking a small '+' sign at the beginning of the row.
I remember having seen this done, but I simply seem not to be able to formulate my query correctly to let Google display me the expected result. Although I am not sure if was APEX+jQuery or ExtJs. I hope though it is not ExtJS, since I do not plan to use that one.

Hi, thanks for the suggestion. I have tried as you suggested, and when opening the "purchased" apps some have the icloud logo next to them, but I only have "OPEN" against "Find My iPhone". When opening it up, it goes through the same routine; needs to be updated before proceeding, and wouldn't update because I don't have IOS8.
Anything else I could try, or am I doomed!

In Finder, select the item. Choose File > Get Info (or do ⌘I). Look under General > Kind. Does it read "Alias" or does it read "Application (Intel)"?
If the latter, then it is likely that you're not allowed to delete because it's actually open. Quit Safari. Check if there is an item called Safari in your </Applications> folder. (In Finder, you can get directly to the Applications folder using ⇧⌘A -- that's Shift-Command-A.) Check if it's an application. If it is, then you have an unneeded copy of Safari. You can delete the one on your Desktop. If there isn't, them move the one on the Desktop to the Applications folder -- that's where it belongs.
