Hello,
Can someone pl. ans my two queries.
1> We have DI on server A, CI on B,AI on C and each server has diff. system time.Then in SAP screen system--->status which time will be displayed on CI and AI.
2> Another Can we have Wgate and web server on diff. host in standalone ITS. IF yes, Is it recommended by SAP.

Two questions on Time Capsule (newest generation)

I am considering buying a Time Capsule 2 TB, newest generation, arounf Christmas. I have two questions though :
1) I read around you could plug a powered USB hub into the USB slot of the Time Capsule and get a printer and a hard drive connected on the Time Capsule. But, I also read it only work with some powered USB hub. Can anyone confirm this can be achieve and if it can, with which powered USB hub I can achieve this ?
2) My Wi-Fi ecosystem is rather sensible to interference. I have to use a 5 Ghz Wi-Fi or my network always crash. I know the Time Capsule offer a dual-band network (2.4 and 5 GHz). Does it means that if I had one in my current situation, only the 2,4 GHz network would crash but not the 5 GHz ?

Two Questions - A Time Machine Restore, and Ipod Touch Wiping
A few days ago, my macbook started acting strangely, so I restarted it. The problem was, it never fully restarted. After a long stall on the screen with the apple logo and a very slow login process, I managed to log into my account but not load the finder. I tried to restart several times, and this was always the case. I tried removing the batteries and resetting the pram, but neither of these fixed the problem.
I had been using the latest version of leopard, with my external happily backing up periodically with time machine. However, I won't be anywhere near my leopard install disc for the rest of the summer. I did have the tiger install disc that came with the laptop, so I tried to restore from that one instead. Unfortunately, the time machine utility doesn't come with this disc, so all of my back ups were unrecognizable by disc utility. This is the only computer that I have access to during the summer, so I really need to be able to use it. Because of this, I did a fresh install of tiger with the disc and am running fine with this. I don't have any vital files, but it would be quite nice to be able to restore from my backup. Is there any way of doing this without having my leopard disc available?
This is even more pressing for me in light of an even more recent problem. I have a fresh install of tiger, which comes with a fresh install of itunes. I plugged my ipod touch into the computer to charge and sync, before I realized that I had a blank itunes library. I stupid clicked yes to the notice window, and so now I have a blank ipod with all of my music gone. Normally this would be no big issue, as I can just restore from my music library on itunes, but that is with the rest of the back ups in an unreadable time machine format on my external hard drive. Is there any way to undo my wiping of its drive, if there is no easy way to restore from my time machine back ups? I don't have any other versions of this music elsewhere, so it'd be gone for the summer otherwise.

Sorry to hear about your troubles. There is no way to "unwipe" an iPod.
But the good news is that you can access your backed up files without Time Machine. All you need to do is plug your external hard disk that you were using for Time Machine into your computer. Then, open it in the finder. You'll see a folder called "backups.backupd.something" (depending on the name of your computer). Go into that folder and down at the bottom you'll see an alias to "Latest." That's your most recent backup. Go into that folder, then navigate to your documents folder, music folder, etc.
Just copy the files back to your hard disk and you'll have your files and music again. Be aware, that this can cause some permissions issues. You may have to reset the permissions of the files using the terminal. If so, come back and post here and I'll walk you through it. -
Some question regarding time evaluation

I have two questions regarding time evaluation:
1. Is it possible (if yes, how) to still include a employee in time evaluation even if this employee is inactive (status P0000-STAT2 = 0). We need this in order to calculate weeks of not working (this has to be calculated). I know that for payroll this is possible wih a setting in infotype 0003.
2. Is it possible (and how) to read data back from payroll into time. For example in payroll you export something to ZL table, can you then pick this up in time evaluation schema, as there is also ZL table. Or is there another way to do this?

Why you want to evaluate the time for inactive person.
If you want you can do.
Process :
First of all you have to group your employees. and sub groups.( for inactive emp)
Assign the employee sub group grouping for PCR in Basic Pay ( IMG ).
Then come to Time Evaluation Schema. Put the Day grouping nn nn nn nn in the Parameters. and run the time evaluation. You will get the output in DZL table.
For the above process you need to configure the T510S table.
Yes you can read the payroll into time.
the same concept will run in both of the modules.
the output should appear in the ZL table only.
Here the concept is.....Some companies, they will not use the payroll wage types. only they will use the time wage types.. these wage types has to be configure in the T510S. and we have to do the wage type copying from the part of time management only if they are not using the payroll. So either in Payroll or in Time management the evaluation of time willbe the same.

I 'm operating CS5 on iMac 10.10.2.....Q.the last two or three times I have tried to use "Merge to HDR Pro" the aplication quits with no image...I have restarted the system which does not solve the problem.

How to compare the current system time with two timing?
want to get the current system time and compare with the two different timing example startwindow time as 2:00:00AM and endWindowTime as 6:00:00AM. if my current system time falls between these window i have to execute my rest of the code.

Not enough free space on the startup disk can slow your Mac down.
Click your Apple menu top left in your screen. From the drop down menu click About This Mac > More Info > Storage
Make sure there's at least 15% free disk space.

Two questions on SP1 and Vista booting
Hi all,
two questions:
1) did I understand correctly that if I want SP1 on my machine I have to install it manually, as it is not included in the automatic update routines?
2) my machine failed yesterday, I got a message "Windows failed to start. A recent hardware of software change might be the cause." The only thing I can think of is that before switching it off the previous time, I had inserted a USB hard-drive to copy some files on it. But I had continued working on the machine normally. The other unusual event is that the day before it was very slow booting up, so afer it finished booting up, I restarted it.
When the system failed to start, I tried the automatic procedures several times, which always ended up with "windows cannot solve the problem automatcally,
contact your vendor". In the penultimate attempt, I also clicked on an "advanced option tab" and restored the system, but that also did not solve the problem. Then, this morning I switched the machine on again to write down the exact error message I got, and instead, unexpectedly (and rather gladly), the machine started up normally. So, what might have happened? Should I get my machine (which is less than a month old) checked?

paolaYes, theres a chance to have a complete image from the actual state of your operating system including all programs etc....
There are several solutions:
1. The Commercial One: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ghost_(software)
2. Another commercial one: http://www.acronis.com/homecomputing/products/trueimage/features-cloning.html
3. The Free one: http://www.ubcd4win.com/
(but more complicated and you need in all cases a external data storage, there are some tools on this ToolsCD which are free and do almost the same like acronis or ghostimage)
I guess there are still thousands of cloning programs but I tried to give you the most important and most reliable tools.
If I were you, I would check the UBCD4Win, burn it to a CD, buy an external HDD, start the UBCD4WIn and clone your drive to the external one. So you can perform incremental backups of your HDD and if something happens, you must only do the whole process like you perform the backup just reverse.

As per the standard , there is no possibility to work on twins SRM system at the same time on Portal. And as Ivy Li mentioned that all SRM IViews have system alias as SAP_SRM which points to 1 system at a time . Now as per your saying twins SRM system with unique portal which will also create a problem as most of the time the portal navigation would be locked.Now again while uploading the WDA package for SRM portal your data's might get effect if you are showing your actual data in your training session. If you find then there could be many reasons.

Two NWDI systemes in one landscape
Hi all,
I was wondering if it is possible to have two NWDI systems in one landscape (sharing same SLD) and do track forwarding between these two NWDI systems?
The reason I want to do this is that I want to move the NWDI system to another platform. To avoid a big bang situation I would like for the developers to be able to "forward" the code from one server to the other as they like (over time).
Do any of you have eny experience in this area?

Our situation is that we have a existing NWDI system connected to one SLD. We would like to install a second NWDI system connected to the same SLD. We would then like to close down the "old" NWDI system. But in order to save the development components from old SLD we need some form of transport to the "new" NWDI system. A possible solution I thought of could be to create new tracks in the "new" NWDI and forward the existing SCs from the "old" NWDI system to the "new" NWDI system.
The reason we want to do this is because we would like to move the old NWDI system to a new platform without doing a system copy.
My question is then if its possible to make this kind of forwarding between two NWDI systems (connected to the same SLD to share component information).

X301 post BIOS / Model Number update System Time problems
Dear community,
I recently updated my BIOS using the thinkvantage flash BIOS utility for no reason other than it appeared on the update utility. I also updated the model number, once again for no real reason other than update pleasure. Now, everything works perfectly fine on the system, and I have no problems EXCEPT:
I use New York Times Adobe Air product called "Times Reader". Since the update, when I try to log into the Times Reader I get an error that states "Authentication Error. Check that your system time is set correctly." In the pre-boot set up screen the time seems to be set right, and in the windows utility the time is set correctly. So my questions is,
after a BIOS flash / Model # update, does the system time function need some re-boot / update?
Thanks!Well I still dunno what the problem was. It seemed as if the system would have to be running for a day or two before it would start to speed up, as if it was actually gaining a few milliseconds cumulatively every second...
Anyway, through other testing (OC & such) I flashed to 1.5B5 and it is running pretty good, and seems to have fixed the time problem.
On a side note, 1.5B5 is the first BIOS that actually makes Cool 'N Quiet work (to underclock to 1GHz at idle & dynamically OC when needed).
If anyone has experienced this time issue, please post findings! For now, it's fixed for me, so I'm not going to worry about it -

But may be you could let the apply process put the changes on a queue (dbms_apply_adm.set_enqueue_destination(rule_name => ...., destination_queue_name =>...);). Then you could have one or more pl/sql jobs to dequeue the changes based on the enqueue-time and have them apply the changes.
As far as I've understood RMAN won't/cannot delete archived logs that are still needed by capture process. So I don't see a problem there. But let the other streams guru's correct me if I'm wrong.

Avoiding PrinterJob to print two or more times a page...

I'm using jdk 1.4 and I have noticed that the PrinterJob prints a page two times, then I have also discovered the reason:

Q: When printing using java.awt.PrinterJob, why does it print each page at least twice (and sometimes much more than that)?
A: The root of this is that Java 2D printing needs to be able to print everything that Java 2D can render to the screen, and that includes translucent colours, images etc which cannot always be printed directly in Postscript or GDI except when printing everything as one big image, so the implementation tries to avoid this by calling first to discover the rendering that needs to be done for the page. If its simple opaque rendering then only one more call is needed to render the page. If there are translucent colours then multiple calls are done for "bands" down the page to limit the size of the image being generated and hence constrain peak memory usage.
My question is: is there an alternative way to print a page avoiding calling the print method two or more times?
