Two requirement type determined for PIR of a material

Hi Experts,
I have a scenario wherein for one of the material with stragety 50, when the PIR is getting transferred from one info structure to Demand Management (Version A0) i get two line items for the same demand in MD63. I.e one line item with requriement type VSE and another line item with requirement type VSFB. The transfer is through a custom program.
What could be the reason for this? Why two requirement types are determined for the material? What is the determining factor?
Thanks in advance for the response
Best Regards,
Ganesh

You mean that the two line items in MD63 belongs to the different version ; active and inactive one?
Several things you can check.
1  First check the MC7F whether configuration of your info structure is link to DM automatically (in Sync with Demand Management section).  If you create the transfer again, it may have duplicate records in demand management.
2. Do you use the mass processing to transfer the data?  If so, please check the activity.  If you set the transfer twice, then it is duplicate.
3.  Maybe someone maintained them manually and enter the requirement plan.  Normally the transfer from SIS will have blank requirement plan. Maybe you can check whether the requirement plan is maintained for any of the lines (in the item tab).
If you can do the screen shot for us, it will be very helpful to analyze.

    HI Experts,
Need your help in resolving a issue, We have scenario where same material can be a make or Buy based on one logic, For buy scenario i need to drop IC order.
To do thing functionality i am flipping requirement type of the line item in MV45AFZB, Problem is i am not able to get planned order generated even though i am able to flip the requirement type.
Should i need to change my logic in MV45AFZB or ZZ?
    Thank you

    Hello Kris
Why do you have to work with user exits to flip Requirement types?
Why don't you set up 2 item cats ( one for Make, another for Buy situation),  (have the users)  flip the item category manually in the order and drive the requirement type via item cat using 'Determination Of Requirement Types Using Transaction'  config? If you don't want to flip the item cats, you may set up 2 different order types also.
    Hope this helps.

  • MTO-Selection Of requirement Type determination

    Hello.
In MTO we have option for selection of requirement type either thru MRP grp or SD item category.
Which is the better option. In what criteria/business porcess the selction differs.

    Hi
There is no golden rule for this
If your Req Type is fixed @ Material Level - Use MRP group
If your Req Type is dependant on the Sales Order Type- Then adopt Item Catg route

  • Ouput type determination for shipment

    Hi Folks
I need to do some configuration regarding shipment output.
And I want output type to be determined based on sold to party of delivery documents in shipment.
Means, if there are 4 deliveries having 4 different sold to party Then I want 4 output type ( say FCED ) to be determined each for one sold to party.
I've created an access sequence for this output type 'FCED'. and in access sequence used a key combination of shipment type/ sold to party . And I've maintained 4 sold to party also.
There is a structure komkbv7 ( communication header for shipping ). Now when I've one delivery then sold to party for that delivery come in this structure (komkbv7-kunag) but when there is more than one delivery in shipment komkbv7-kunag comes as blank.
Your suggestions would be highly appreciated
    With regards
    Mandeep

    Hi All,
Use field KUNNR in field catalog (spro->Logistics Execution->Transportation->Basic Transportation Functions->Output Control-> Maintain Output Determination for Shipments->Maintain Condtion Tables->Field catalog: Messages for transportation), instead of KUNAG. This field is available by default in KOMB and KOMKBV7 structures.
I know this is a rather old discussion, but there was no clear answer for the question, I just wanted to make sure that others having the same problem can find an answer.

  • Export type determination for excise invoice

We are using the Automatic Excise Invoice while doing the billing document. But while cancelling the excise invoice system is giving the error "Utilization already done for this invoice". This error is not coming while creating the excise invoice manually from the J1IIN tcode. I can able to cancel the excise invoice if it is created manually.
This is for the Export Scenario.
For this issue what I have to do and I have tried all the permutation and combination with different series groups for the export and domestic. But still I could not able to solve this issue.
I request you to please do the needful
    Please advice.
    Regards,
    B. Rajesh,

    Dear Rajesh
Go to IMG screen, select Logistics-General --> Tax on Goods Movements --> India --> Business Transactions --> Outgoing Excise Invoice --> Maintain Default Excise Groups and Series Groups.
Here, check what has been selected for the combination of Sales Area / Shipping Point / Plant / Excise Group / Series Group.  Probably, you would have selected "N".  Change it to  "U" and retry.

  • Requirement Types for Independent Requirements: LSF, VSF, VSE

    Hi,
    (1) Can anyone explain the following requirement types in layman's terms:
    LSF (Make-to-stock production)
    VSF (Planning with final assembly)
    VSE (Planning without final assembly)
    (2) Upon transfer to demand management, how to determine which Requirement Type to use?
    Thanks.

    Hi,
Requirement type determines the following points:
    1. Consumption of Independent req & customer req.
    2. How warehouse stock taken into account.
    3. Make to order or Make to stock.
    4. Planned order can be released or not.
Requirement class is assigned with requirement type.
PIR requirement type & customer requirement type both linked with Strategy group.
Ex: For strategy 10, PIR req type is LSF & Customer req type is KSL.
So transfer to demand management in the material master if strategy 10 is assigned, system will take req type as LSF.
Same as if strategy 40, req type VSF
For strategy 50, req type VSE.

  • How do automate using two output types in an invoice based on plant

    Hello,
Can you tell me how to configure automatically two output types for the same invoice.
My client has business in USA and Europe. We are using only one sales organization. But we need to print invoices in letter size and A4 size depending on whether the invoice is created in europe or in USA. So , I have created two output types, one for letter size and one for A4 size. How do I configure so that if it is based in a plant/shipping point in Europe it is printed using the A4  output type else in letter size. Please suggest.
    SAPSDUSER

I do not think you can use plant/shipping point in your access sequence for invoice output on header level, unless you add these fields to header level kommunication structure and populate these fields in userexit.
    You can either
    1. define requirement routines for your 2 output types which are mutually exclusive (if plant = A routine 1 returns sy-subrc = 0, routine 2 returns sy-subrc <>0, if plant = B routine 1 returns sy-subrc <>0, routine 2 returns sy-subrc = 0). You can assign requirements to output type either in output determination procedure OR in the access sequence. I would do it in output determination procedure. Check transactions NACO or NACE.
    OR
    2. add your fields to komkbv3 communication structure, populate your fields in thsi structure in userexits which are called from the function module komkbv3_fill and then you can either use then in the access sequence for your output types or create routines as in case 1. but the logic will be a simple check statement since KOMKBV3 is available in these routines.
    3. In fact you can use one output type and select your layout in the print program itself... which may be even easier for you. We use this approach to select proper layout for GEOs which may have several layouts depending on region for example... so the output type is defined per country, then layout is selected by print program. (tnapr-fonam = ..., nast-spras = proper language, set country '' to use proper decimal & date format...)

  • Information on Requirements type in scheduling agreement

Does anyone can give me infomation about 'requirements type' found in the procurement tab of the scheduling agreement?

    Hi,
The requirement type determination in orders/ SA as follows:   requirements types are determined according to a specific search strategy beginning with the material strategy group. Strategy for Determining the Requirements Type
    1. First, an attempt is made to find a requirements type using the strategy group in the material master.(note: Define a requirement type and a class for each strategy which you will  define in the production module)
    2. If the strategy group has not been maintained, the system will determine it using the MRP group.
    3. If the MRP group has not been defined, the system uses the material type instead of the MRP group when accessing the corresponding control tables.
    4. If no requirements type is found here, the system assumes a special rule and attempts to find a requirements type with the aid of the item category and the MRP type.
    5. If this is not possible, a last attempt is made to find a requirements type with the item category only.
    6. If the last attempt fails, the system declares the transaction as not relevant for the availability check or transfer of requirements
Hope this will help you to understand better

    PO Output
    Output of Purchase Order
    1. Condition Table
SPRO > Material Management> Purchasing -> Message -> Output Control->Condition Tables->Define Condition Table for Purchase Order
    Select:
    Purchasing Doc. Type,
    Purch. Organization,
    Vendor
    2. Access Sequences
SPRO -> Material Management-> Purchasing -> Message -> Output Control->Access Sequences->Define Condition Table for Purchase Order
    3. Message Type
SPRO -> Material Management-> Purchasing -> Message -> Output Control->Message Types->Define Message Type for Purchase Order
    4. Message Determination Schemas
    4.1. Message Determination Schemas

  • Requirement type of return delivery

    Dear all,
In our system, requirement types determination is based on the Strategy Groupe of material master.
This works very well as we have different form of deliveries.
The problem are the return deliveries. We would like to have an other requirement type for a return as we have on the delivery for the same material (with the same strategy group).
For example: An customer order is delivered from customer stock (special stock E). But the return of this goods has not to go to the customer stock but in blocked stock (which has not special stock).
How can we determine an other requirements type for the return of goods? Is there an other attribute to determine the requirements type?
    Thank you.
    Best regards,
    Thomas

    Dear Chandra,
    Thank you for your answer.
What you describe is what we already did. We have a shedule line type with movement 651 (return stock) but if we create the delivery on the return order, the special stock E (customer stock) is taken in consideration (on the delivery VL02N -> Goods movement Data) and the system does not allow a movement 651 E.
I think, that this special stock indicator comes from the requirement class... Do you think thats right, or where does this indicator comes from?
    Thanks and best regards,
    Thomas

  • Implement Org determination for Service Orders

    Hello Freinds ,
My Client is implementing the service order with WebIC2005 with the following scenarios.
    Service orders created Manually.
Service Orders created from completed sales order automatically.
Could any one possibly suggest the best practice of implementing org determination for the above scenarios.
Is it a correct practice to determine sales org for manual creation of Service Order.
For Automation process is it not correct have sales org determined from sales order.
How to determine Org Determination in  WebIC service order Link?
    Thanks & regards
    Amar

    Hi Amar,
You cant assign two diffrent org determination for same transaction type.
Its always better to determine the org at transaction type level. But wehn you are creating service order from sales order , you can set the rule in Copy control whether to copy the org or not.
    Hope this helps.

  • Applications with two deployment types makes uninstall button in software center "greyed" out.

    Hi
SCCM 2012 R2 running on Windows server 2012 with Windows 7 clients.
We are publishing applications to users that are available (not required), so that they can be downloaded from the application catalog web site. We have som applications that needs more then one deployment type (different pre requirements depending
on OS architecture) and when I create two deployment types for one Application the uninstall button in Software center is greyed out? If i remove one of the deployment types so there is just one, well then the Uninstall button is available again.
An example is Itunes. I publish one Itunes application to the store that has two deployment types, one for X86 and another for X64 with requirments on OS architetcure. the correct version gets installed but the uninstall button is not possible to use. If
i remove one of the deployment types then the deployment button is not greyed out.
    Is this a bug?
    Thanks everyone.

We will be installing CU3 this Friday. During the next week or so, I will deploy the CU3 client to the workstations.
I do not believe that the uninstall button issue will be addressed with this update either, according to what I have read so far.
If, by some small yet profound miracle, my uninstall button regains full functionality, I will gladly let all of you know.
I would hope that Microsoft would address this issue seriously, as I am sure the rumblings of dissatisfaction are beginning to grow louder with each passing CU that ignores the problem.

  • Repeat Output-Type determination

    Dear all,
We have a new output-type for printing invoices. Now we have to reprint a lot of "old" invoices with this new output-type.
Is there a possibility to repeat the output-type determination for a big quantity of invoices (like mass change)?
    Thanks for your reply.
    Best regards,
    Thomas

    Hi,
Use the T.Code "VF31" for this purpose.
    Goto the T.Code "VF31".
    Give the Output type.
    Give the transmission medium.
Give the processing mode as "1" if it is for the first time.Else give the value as "2" for repeat processing.
Enter the sort order as "01".
Enter the billing document number range.
    Regards,
    Krishna.

  • How to execute two structure type values

How to execute two structure type values for HWC app in SUP 2,2 ? Added is the screenshot, with the structure and values to be executed. Trying in the preview works fine , but how to process in the application ?

Thanks Midhun VP i came across result checker , but still checking if there is any work around without result checker. , Will  a HTML view with some Success status work in this scenario .
Correct me if i am wrong, as per my understanding , Result checkers checks the error code return value from BAPI and shows the respective message.
If so, what are the Pros and Cons of using Result checker.
Is it suggested to use Result checker for read only operations applications i,e which does nt involve operations( CUD)
