How can I use two sequences w/ different frame rates

I shot wedding (on Sony Z5) initially (1st tape) in DV widescreen (29.97/ 30 fps) but tapes 2, 3 & 4 were shot 1080p24 fps Big mistake; now obvious.
Edited all in FCP 6. On trying to cut & paste sequences together I get " cannot nest sequences with different editing timebases".
I have 23 min.intro/ ceremony sequence as stand alone QT mov now. How can I best convert that and/or merge it w/ the rest ( 62 min. 24 fps sequences), or perform other action to unite the diff frame rates into one, w/ best looking quality for the DVD/ bride & groom? Trying to beat Xmas deadline...

I went back and forth on this.
Ordinarily, I'd conform to the format that the majority of the footage was shot in. But if you're going to DVD, and it's going to be compressed to 480 anyway, then why not down convert the 1080 footage to 480?. At the same time, I would imagine re-timing the 24 (23.98?) to 29.97 would look reasonably consistent with the 29.97 SD.
This could be done in FCP, but I think Compressor will produce a better result. The adjustments you need are in the Settings menu in the Encoder (with Audio set to pass through), Geometry (720x480 16:9 Anamorphic), and Frame Controls (Resize Filter set to Best).
This will not be a short encode, so I would first test a short section to double check your settings and sound sync are right, and to compare against the quality of tape 1.

To move one of the phones to a different iCloud account (if that's what you want to do), go to Settings>iCloud and turn all synced data to Off. When prompted, choose to keep the data on your iPhone. After everything is off, scroll to the bottom and tap Delete Account. This will delete the account from the phone but not from iCloud so the other phone will not be effected. Then set up a new iCloud account with a different Apple ID and turn iCloud syncing in Settings>iCloud back to On. When prompted, choose Merge. This will upload the data to the new iCloud account.
You will then have to go to icloud.com and sign into each iCloud account separately and delete any unwanted data that you don't want on the phone syncing with each account.

Sequences with different attributes

I am editing a wedding and decided to brek up each major portion. I now have four sequences. When copied sequence two into seguence one, the footage from sequence two. The canvas size was the same at 50%, however the image size from sequence two ws very small in the canvas. The same happened with my other sequences.
The purposes of putting joining the sequences was to put the whole project together. What did I do wrong? Am I not supposed to copy and paste from sequence to sequence?
Please advise.

Lots of moving parts, but never say never. From what you indicate in your last post, at least part of the material is HD.
You want to do at least two things: get everything into a single editing ceodec (AIC), and conform the clips/sequences to a common frame rate. Same frame size would be nice, but not as important as the codec and rate.
I think your best approach would be to choose the format (size and frame rate) that the majority of your movie was shot in and create a new project and an AIC sequence with those settings. Then you could export your four finished sequences, conform as necessary and reimport them into your project as clips. You would finish and export as QT, current settings (AIC) and you'd have a movie file that could be re-purposed for DVD, the Web, projection, mobile, etc.
If you are able to buy ($49) and learn Compressor, it can do this very well. If you intend to do these sort of projects fairly often, the tool would be worth the investment of $ and time.
The other way would be to export using Quick Time Conversion.
Of course, there's always the option of starting all over and re-importing the footage…
It's been a while since I worked with FCE, amd perhaps someone else will chime in and point out some options that I'm over-looking.

The example code Programmatic Printing of TestStand Reports - Modular contains a sequence that will convert an XML file to an HTML file given the XML file's path and the path to the stylesheet. It may need to be altered to fit with the modifications you have already made to the report generation routines, but I think it should definitely get you off on the right foot. What do you mean by "apple ID"? There's an ID you can use at the iTunes store to buy songs, apps, etc. there's an ID you can use for your iCloud account - the two can be different or the same. So which service are you referring to when you talk about an apple ID?

Terminology check here. Do you really mean a "CD"? There's a difference in Cloud behavior between content from a physical CD you ripped (which only has Cloud content if you have iTunes Match) and an "album" you bought from the iTunes Store.

The above can get pretty complicated. You are probably best off by syncing both devices to a single library and/or updating the libraries on both computers to have the same content.

The iPad and related software is designed to sync with only one computer. I suggest transferring the photos from one of your iMacs to the other so that all photos are on one Mac. Same for all other files you want to sync over.
To get those AppleWorks files to the iPad you'll have to determine if Pages will open them. If it will then use the file sharing feature of iTunes to copy them to Pages on your pad.
If Pages will not open the AppleWorks files directly you'll have to save them in some format that Pages will read. These include but may not be limited to Pages and Word formats.

There are fixed format EPUB files as can be used for children's books, etc. where there are a lot of illustrations. However, those are very work-intensive to produce. I've never worked on one.

How do i run two threads with different sleep times?
Ive got thread A and thread B, they both update a jpanel.
They both start when i press the start button.
However thread A updates every 250ms and thread B updates every 1000ms. i cant just run them both at 250ms becuase this will mess it up.
So for every four runs of thread A i want thread b to only be run once
Does anyone know how to do this?

Two tables with different filter values base on a analysis

let assume that I have a analysis with columns : group_id and sales.
Based on it I would like to create two tables : table1 where group_id =1 and table2 where group_id = 2.
Is OBIEE capable of doing it?

Hi Slavi,
You can do that in single analysis, but you need to have the group_id column two times.
That is, bring group_id_1, group_id_2 (same column), sales
Now in table 1,
bring group_id_1, sales
Then in selection steps for group_id_1 -> Select Members -> Action choose keep only -> choose the filter value 1
This will filter the table 1 with group_id 1
In table2 bring group_id_2, sales
Then do the same step for group_id_2 with value 2.
now in same report you have two reports with different filter.
If you want you can keep the same column name for both group_id columns, I just kept group_id_1, group_id_2 for easy reference.
