Two Settings Manager panels with different settings???

Hello,
When I rt-clk in a flash video and choose settings I see different selections chosen that when I go to the Adobe web site Settings Manager.  Not just different tabs as in local vs global but diffent choices for the identical options.
Window 7 SP1 all updates as of 04/15/2014
Your Flash Version
13.0.0.182
Your browser name
Google Chrome
Your Operating System (OS)
Windows (Windows 7)
I also tried FireFox  28.0 and IE 11 and have same behavior.
Which is the one that will be used by my system?
Is there a local settings file that may be corrupt?
Thank You,
Steve

Thanks Mike.
This is still a little confusing.  I wasn't clear enough.  The two panels I am referring to are the same and look like your second or EACH set.  One is from the Adobe web site, "Settings Manager" not my control panls. So I can invoke three different controls for my Flash settings.
1. right click in a Flash object while using a browser.
2. access: http://www.macromedia.com/support/documentation/en/flashplayer/help/settings_manager.html# 117118
3. control panel Flash Player (32bit)
I thought the process worked like this.  The control panel provides the starting settings for any browser Flash object and on a per use basis of some sort we can change the browser Flash settings on a per use and per site basis.  If we don't then the control panel rules are in effect.
I will consider the web site (2) to be a malfuntioning site and hope it does not do anything despite what it says.

  • Use two Time Machine Drives with different settings?

    Hello everybody, is it possible to use time machine with two drives and use different settings for each drive?
    For example: at home I currently have two external LaCie d2 quadra drives. My plan is to leave one at home, and take one to Uni. On the drive which I have at home, I have backups of a secont parttion of the drive which I am taking to Uni, which contains some important files (about 500 GB). Is it possible to have a backup of that data partiton on the drive which I'm leaving at home, but not on the drive which I'm taking to uni?
    I know that I can set up two drives to work simultaneously, but can I say to exclude folder A on drive A, but not on drive B?
    Thanks a lot in advance

    Thanks for the fast reply. II'll try to make things clearer. I have two drives (let's call them drive A and B). Drive A has one partition, and is my primary back up drive. Drive B has two partitions (one with files and one for Time Machine). Currently, the files partition of Drive B is being backed up to Drive A. When I connect drive B, Time machine asks me if I want to replace the existing drive, or use both. Using both is what I want. However, I don't need Drive B to back up the files from it's second partition, as that would not make any sense; I do, however, want drive A to back up the data partition from drive B. I guess the easiest way is to manually change the settings, or just live with a larger backup....

  • Settings manager panel does not show

    my fp version:          10,2,153,1
    browser:                  firefox 3.6.15
    operating system:    windows 7 ultimate sp1 x86
    problem:
    the settings manager panel does not show
    unistalled and reinstalled fp quite a few times, rebooted, used the unistall_flash_player.exe as well, no errors appear during installation or uninstallation, videos on youtube and other sites play just fine and noticed no other problems, also tried firefox in safe mode with all addons disabled etc nothing helps

    also tried the thing with deleting the folder suggested but also had no luck
    i found though that by trying this:
    https://www.macromedia.com/support/flashplayer/sys/settingsmanager2.swf?defaultTab=g_secur ity
    it doesn't work but if you try the settings panel afterwards, it might work,
    i also found that going through the pages of adobe.com or google to find the settings panel the address looks like that:
    http://macromedia.com/support/documentation/en/flashplayer/help/settings_manager02.html
    and if the settings panel is empty
    then you can add "www." before macromedia.com, i.e. like that:
    http://www.macromedia.com/support/documentation/en/flashplayer/help/settings_manager02.htm l
    and at least in my case it works!!!

  • Can two peeps use iChat with different accounts on the same computer?

    What do I do to REMOVE an old AIM account and replace it with a new account in IChat?
    Can two peeps use iChat with different accounts in the same computer?
    (Actually, two people share a laptop, but one of us cannot use her AIM account cuz mine is in iChat already... And, when traveling, I have the computer - and I would like to use iChat on the computer...)

    In iChat 4 you can have more than one AIM Valid name logged in at once.
    AIM valid = AIM, @mac.com or a MobileMe name.
    What you are then stuck with is that iChat is linked to one Buddy Picture and The one Mac User Account's Address Book which may or may not have Full Names, emails details, or a Nickname in iChat 4 linked to the Screen Names.
    Whilst it does let you both log in whilst using one Mac User Account there are drawbacks about who uses the keyboard and reading meesages from the other persons Buddies.

  • Same object size (front panel) with different screen resolution

    Hi everybody,
    I realised an application, and I try to instal it on various computer. The probleme is that they haven't the same screen resolution, so the front panel is not the same on each computer. It is possible to build an application which have the same front panel with different screen resolution ?
    Kriss.

    Hi Krisss,
    switch off any "adapt to screen resolution" switches in the VI properties...
    You should also define "same front panel" and "same object size"! Do you mean the same pixel size or size in mm or size in percent of screen?

  • Different qmaster segments compressed with different settings

    I'm trying to compress video for a DVD using a render cluster. This splits it into segments.
    I want it to be 30 frames progressive (that is, blend two 720P frames into one, and then split that frame into the two fields for the DVD).
    After playing with the settings, I got it the way I want. But, when I watch the final DVD, it will occasionally have a few minutes (which I'm assuming is a Qmaster segment) which is 60 frames interlaced, which looks lousy for playback on a computer screen.
    It's always different segments, sometimes more than one, and sometimes none.
    I can't change the specified framerate, it's set to "Automatic" and grayed out, which clicking on the gear to the right of it won't unlock. I'm using a modified version of the 120-minute double-pass DVD preset.
    I suppose I could compress it without Qmaster, but this would take an inordinate amount of time, since I'm producing about twenty 2-hour DVD's for an educational program, and I don't want to wait for 7 hours for each one to compress.
    Before anyone asks, I completely uninstalled the entire final cut suite and re-installed it, and I have all of the newest updates for everything, including the OS and the Final Cut suite.
    Why is compressor / qmaster doing this, and how do I get it to stop?

    I want it to be 30 frames progressive (that is, blend two 720P frames into one, and then split that frame into the two fields for the DVD).
    This statement makes no sense. If the original material is Progressive, there are no fields to be blended.
    If you start with progressive material, you do not need to generate an interlaced file for the DVD. Most DVD players are perfectly capable playing back progressive material. If you are playing to a HDTV, you'll get a progressive feed. If a CRT device, you'll get an interlaced output.

  • Why can't I see the Global Settings Manager - only the Local Settings Manager

    I've had an issue with Facebook content for months following an upgrade several versions ago - can't see my own uploaded videos or certain other content although some you tube embedded stuff is starting to work since the last upgrade.
    I've tried deleting various bits such as
    %appdata%\Adobe
    %appdata%\Macromedia
    But no joy.
    I wanted to see if anything on the global settings manager might have something to do with it but I get a blank where the various manager function screens should appear.
    Any suggestions on how I can see MPG/MPEG/VID content, why my own uploaded stuff doesn't play and why I can't see the global settings manager bits and pieces.
    Thanks,

    Hi Chris - yep - for the first time, using chrome, I could see the settings manager.
    Now is there anything there that might prevent my seeing my own uploaded videos on Fb - I can see some but not all youtube stuff but other embeds aren't working... original file format compatibility perhaps?

  • Share stateful session bean in JSF managed beans with different scope

    Hi,
    I have a JSF application and I want to try to use of stateful session beans.
    So I created a new stateful session bean and its local interface.
    @Stateful
    public class StatefulSessionBean implements StatefulSessionBeanLocalInterface{
    private String name;
    @Local
    public interface StatefulSessionBeanLocalInterface {
    ...In my JSF application I have a mananed bean with session context which registers the new interface by
    this annotation
    @EJB(name="sessionbeanref", beanInterface=StatefulSessionBeanLocalInterface.class) and set the name to something.
    Now I want to fetch this name in another managed bean with request scope. So I looked up the bean and tried to get the name.
    StatefulSessionBeanLocalInterface = (StatefulSessionBeanLocalInterface) new InitialContext().lookup("java:comp/env/sessionbeanref");
    System.out.println(currentmailingbean.getName());but the name is null.
    Why?

    The xsd was created via the netbeans J2EE enterprise application dialog and I think its the most recent.
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>

    Can I networking two NI lookout servers with 50

    What's your lookout version on two computers? You need first to make two lookouts run, and then try to networking them. For example, if you run lookout 6.2 on windows 98, I'm not sure if it will work.

  • Transcoded a project probably 7 times now with different settings. Still producing screen flickers.

    Hey everyone.
    This is my first post. I'm still green  in the industry and dont know all the intricasies of the ins and outs  of encore, but I feel I have a decent grasp on what im doing...
    Here's the scoop:  Project is an hour and a half, frame rate at 29.97 with an anamorphic  aspect. Classical guitar performance; very little movement, a couple  camera angels, some pictures thrown in, simple stuff. Photoshop menus;  no .mov files or audio in the menu... Every time I have transcoded I  have ended up with blips, or flashes, or flickers throughout the  project. Basically for a fraction of a second you see video from another  part of the timeline. Like Tyler Durden's porn scene prank in the movie  Fight Club.
    I've tried automatic settings, 2 pass hq 4mb variable bit rate, 1 pass 8mb hq cbr, 2 pass 23.976 4mb (out of desperation, I know it's the wrong frame rate) constant bit rate at 6 mbs, and custom settings for vbr 2 pass and 1 pass vbr. I'm burning at 3x as well.
    My next thought is transcoding at an even lower cbr like 3 mbps? I read that you can also transcode a project in multiple sections before a build. Would this be a worth while endeavor?
    Any help or suggestions or comments I can get will be greatly appreciated. As you can imagine I need to get this done yesterday.
    Thank you!

  • Sequence settings not compatible with compression settings?

    My sequence preset setting in FCP is HDV 1440x1080. When I drop footage shot with an HDV camera into the timeline, that is the setting that it wants to match clips to. However, when I export using Compressor, and then import the compressed files into DVD Studio Pro, the final result does not fit the SD frame, and my DVDs get cut off around the edges on some televisions. How can I compress so that it will fit SD? If I change the sequence settings in FCP to 1280X1080 it seems to fit fine after compression, but then all my clips have to be rendered, which takes hours. Is there a standard setting for SD after compression? thanks

    Not sure if I understood you correctly but if you want a project shot in HDV on a SD DVD here is what you do:
    Export your sequence via quicktime into a clip in HDV (export same as sequence settings)
    import this HD clip into FCP
    create a new sequence in DV (4:3 or 16:9, whatever you need)
    drop the HD clip into the timeline
    raise the master level in the mixer by 6db (otherwise your sound on the DVD will be low)
    export the SD clip
    use the compressor to convert the exported SD clip into DVD files
    Theoretically you can also do all of this directly with compressor from the original HDV timeline - except it takes forever and I never could get it to work properly

  • Sliding Panels Problem: Content panels with different width?

    I'm trying to create the exact same behaviour as this Argentinian Photographer have done:
    http://germansaezphoto.com/music/radiohead/
    I've read and used the files in your tutorial: http://www.adobe.com/devnet/dreamweaver/articles/sliding_panel.html
    and searched the forum but couldn't find an answer.
    I'm almost there. The problem is that I have 6 test photos that are of the same height (and the same height as the slidingpanel view port) but different in width. If I set the class .SlidingPanelsContent to the same width as the largest picture(i.e. panel) then it creates a white space until the next pic starts. And If I set the width to the same as the smallest picture then it crops the other ones.
    Here is the div in the index file:
    <div class="SlidingPanels" id="panelwidget">
      <div class="SlidingPanelsContentGroup">
        <div class="SlidingPanelsContent" <img src="images/panel-2.jpg" width="645" height="430" /></div>
        <div class="SlidingPanelsContent" <img src="images/panel-1.jpg" width="594" height="430" /></div>
      <div class="SlidingPanelsContent" <img src="images/panel-3.jpg" width="645" height="430" /></div>
      <div class="SlidingPanelsContent" <img src="images/panel-4.jpg" width="645" height="430" /></div>
      <div class="SlidingPanelsContent" <img src="images/panel-5.jpg" width="645" height="430" /></div>
      <div class="SlidingPanelsContent" <img src="images/panel-6.jpg" width="594" height="430" /></div>
      </div>
      </div><br />
      <a href="#" onclick="sp1.showFirstPanel();">First Panel</a> | <a
        href="#" onclick="sp1.showPreviousPanel();">Previous Panel</a> |
    <a href="#" onclick="sp1.showNextPanel();">Next Panel</a> | <a href="#"
        onclick="sp1.showLastPanel();">Last Panel</a>
      <script type="text/javascript">
    var sp1 = new Spry.Widget.SlidingPanels("panelwidget");
    </script>
    And here is the classes in the css:
    .SlidingPanels {
         position: relative;
         float: left;
         width: 1000px;
         height: 430px;
         padding: 0px;
         border: none;
    .SlidingPanelsContentGroup {
         position: relative;
         float: left;
         width: 10000px;
         margin: 0px;
         padding: 0px;
         min-height:0;
         border: none;
    .SlidingPanelsContent {
         width: 645px;
         height: 430px;
         float: left;
         overflow: hidden;
         margin: 0px;
         padding: 0px;
         border: none;
    In the css file before the .SlidingPanelsContent class Adobe states that they in their default implementation has set the width to the same as the view port to ensure that only one panel at a time can be viewed within the view port. But I want the opposite.
    How do I solve this?

    It seems to me that if you have all different width images, you will want to remove the width from the content pane. That should allow the images to butt up next to each other without either extra white space (for smaller images) or cropping (of larger images). Saenz's photos are in divs with a class of .panelfoto that has the definition of float: left; width: auto;
    I have not played around a lot with sliding panels, but it seems reasonable to me that that would work.
    You have probably already read and digested this page: http://labs.adobe.com/technologies/spry/articles/sliding_panels/index.html
    You know, if you really want something very close to what the example site looks like, look into his code and imitate it.
    It does not appear that every move of the pane goes the same distance, and I'm not sure what controls that, but I see some of his images moving part-way, exposing part of the next, and so forth, instead of a complete image change each time. Using different width photos will do that partly, of course.

  • Modify Batch Sequence to generate two reports per UUT with different names.

    I have a special situation for the batch model.
    Each UUT consist of two separate products that must be tested as a single unit.
    I can run each UUT and generate a test report for each.  - aka. The standard use case works great.
    However we are keeping records using this method. So I need a separate copy with a different name for each run.
    The idea behind this is that we might have a running history for each half of the UUT. Since the two halves will probably never meet again.
    I have looked at the BatchModel.seq and read some of the documentation, however I am having a hard time figuring out what is going on.
    I assume the Highlighted Items above are where the UUT Reports are generated. I do not however know the mechanism for giving them the names from the Report Options->Report File Pathname menu or how to change it between those points in time. Also is there any tricks to getting duplicate Report with a diffrent path put into this setup.
    Any links to relevant information would be useful. Thanks
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

    Just copy those two steps and between them and the copies have another step that is just a Statement.  In there you can change the report path by setting parameters.TestSocket.ReportFilePath to the new path.
    Ideally what you would do is have the client set it by using a callback.  So your code would look like this:
    Write UUT Report
    Write UUT Report (on the fly)
    Set Report Path Callback (override in client OR statement step)
    Write UUT Report
    Write UUT Report (on the fly)
    Hope this helps,
