Two Skype phone numbers

We have 2 Skype number, one for Bus, the other for home.
They are on the same account; therefore they share the same mail box and therefore the same Voice Mail message.
I understand they need to be separate accounts.
How do I transfer the phone number to a new account and apply the recent payment to the account?

Hi, DoggyDaddy, and welcome to the Community,
Unfortunately, transferring subscriptions, features, or credit from one account to another is not possible.  The only thing you could do is to cancel one of the Skype Numbers, which will stop its renewal, and start a new account and a new Skype Number subscription.
Regards,
Elaine

I have two different 5s's with two different phone numbers but they are both using the same iCloud/apple account. After upgrading to iOS8 when I get a phone call on one phone both phones ring. One phone is for work and one is for private and I don't need both phones to ring from one call. It's bizarre.......is this supposed to be like this? If so where can I turn it off?? And while we are at it iOS8 has installed iBooks on both of my phones and iTunes won't let me uninstall it. I don't need or want iBooks on my phones.

    Hi,
There are two easy fixes to this.
One, you can set up Family Sharing, in which you can have two different iCloud Accounts, yet still share the same apps, music, media etc.
Two, go to Settings and turn-off "Handoff". This can be found under the General page.
    Hope this helps!

  • Two iphones, two different phone numbers, same apple id, will imessages work?

I have two different iphones on a family plan with verizon, phones A and B.  Each is associated with a uniqie Apple id, lets call those apple IDs C and D.  So Phone A has apple id C, Phone B has apple id D.  I'd like to register both phones to Apple ID C for in imessages, although the phone numbers themselves will continue to separately be registered to Apple ID C and D.  Once i do that, presumably all imessages sent to same apple id C's email address will appear on phones A and B.  But will imessages sent to phone B's phone number also appear on phone A, or will those only appear on Phone B?

  • Skype phone numbers and how they work?

ok so here is what I know. With skype you can choose the country of the phone number you want your phone number to originate from. So if I choose my number to be an Australian number any person calling me from Australia will be charged at a local rate if from the same state.
    This is my question.
If I set up my phone number to be an Australian number, then I travel overseas to Canada and someone calls my number, what will the rate of charge be for the caller? will it still be a local call since the number is an Australian number or will it not work at all????
And will I in return be able to call back to Australia at a local rate since my number is australian??
Also, Im assuming I need to be connected through wi-fi for someone to call my skype account from a land line phone?

  • TRANSFERRING SKYPE PHONE NUMBERS TO NEW ACCOUNT?

I have 2 subscriptions/phone numbers on my current skype account - one for Australia and one for New Zealand. Since I can't change my skype name, can I transfer the subscriptions/phone numbers to a new account? I have recently been married, so my name has changed and I use the phone numbers for business so it's important I'm using my correct name... Grateful for some advice

Hi, KDelaney, and welcome to the Community,
    Congratulations!
Have you considered changing your name as it is displayed?
    https://support.skype.com/en/faq/FA110/can-i-change-my-skype-name-or-display-name-in-skype-for-windo...
Skype does not permit the transfer of anything from one account to another, regardless of what it is (credit, subscriptions, Skype Numbers, etc.).  If you wish to start over again, as if you had moved to a different location, you would cancel the subscriptions and Skype Numbers on your first account, and add the same new subsriptions to a new account.  Likewise with credit, you can request a refund of the credit on the first account and then purchase new credit for the new second account.
Anticipating your next question, it would be an interesting and convenient feature if Skype had a facility to forward one account to another, but alas they do not.
    Best regards,
    Elaine

  • Skype phone numbers; what do I get for what I pay?

Hey all, first time user here so please bear with me.
I'm ditching my home phone and getting a Skype phone instead.
My plan is to get a 12-month unlimited plan for Canada and the US, and a Skype Phone Number.
Problem is, I'm not sure if I can get a Canadian number.
If I *CAN* get a Canadian number, I need to know if I automatically get one when I sign up for a 12-month unlimited plan.
Finally, I need to know if I can log in to any Skype-supported device and use this unlimited plan, be it on a computer, mobile phone, iPad or game console.
Thanks very much for your help!!

    Hello,
    1. Unfortunately there are no Canadian Online #s.
    2. You can make calls from a computer or Skype compliant phone using either a Skype Call Plan or Skype Credit.
TIME ZONE - US EASTERN. LOCATION - PHILADELPHIA, PA, USA.
I recommend that you always run the latest Skype version: Windows & Mac

  • Skype Phone Numbers

    Hi,
I have been receiving calls from numbers in the range of 661380XXXX and 559515XXXX. I am trying to determine where these calls are coming from. Everywhere I have looked makes me believe these are skype numbers, but I can not find a definitive answer. Are there any listings out there that would tell me what skype numbers normally look like and if these numbers are really skype driven?
    Thanks.

    Hi, Sakusami,
Skype does not assign blocks of numbers for use as a Caller ID; the local telephone companies do.  Please see this topic for more information:

Do you have a home hub with BT Broadband Talk, as it could be the case that you have a another phone number allocated to your hub phone.
Do you have a phone plugged into a ADSL filter which in turn is plugged into a phone socket or does your phone plug into the rear of your homehub.

  • Why are my messages getting sent to two different phone numbers?

My mom and I use the same Apple account for our iPhones and when we updated our phones for iOS 6, all of the text messages that I've been receiving have been sent to her iPhone as well.

Tjmoo, did you find out the answer to your question?  If so, will you share?  I am having an issue where some of my messages to iPhone users go through as iMessages while others go through as text messages.  I am not sure why this is because the people I am sending them to have iPhones.
    Thanks!

  • Does it matter if you are sharing one email account with two phone numbers

I am trying to facetime with my wife. We share the same email. but have two different phone numbers. on her end it says she is unavailable for facetime. Any help would be great. Thanks.

The 'extension' cords are all compatible with all of the power bricks for Apple portables (PowerBooks, MacBooks, MacBook Pros, etc.). I also have several from many generations (back to early PowerBooks) and I use them all interchangeably with current adapters (in various rooms at home, at work, etc.).
(As a side note, they are not compatible with the iPod power bricks, but that's not relevant for you.)

  • Question in regards to multiple addresses and phone numbers in one contact...

    Hello iPhone users!
I have a quick question in regards to contacts. If I have a name of a restaurant that has two separate phone numbers and two separate locations, do I need to create a separate contact for each location and each phone number? For exmaple, let's say the Restaurant name is Luigi's and there is one location in Boston and one in New York. I wish to enter both of the addresses and both of phone numbers.
Ideally, how would I combine both of these? I think to further qualify is if I'm able to combine both entries into one contact, how can I differentiate the phone numbers? I realize there are labels that I can customize (i.e. name one label Boston and the other New York) but it seems if I do that, then those custom labels appear to carry over for any other new contact I create which is not ideal.
Am I on the right track or am I over thinking this? Does anyone have any suggestions?
    Many thanks!

Thanks for your reply!  I'm just trying to figure out the best way. Basically I was hoping to create one contact entity with the restaurant name and withing that contact the following:
    1. Addresses for both locations
    2. Phone numbers for both locations
    3. A label to distinguish which number belongs to what location
So at the moment, I have one contact and the label for one phone number is "main" which is not ideal because it doesn't distinguish what location the number is calling. Let's say I create a custom label called "Boston". It works fine and I can assign that label to that number. The drawback is that now the custom label "Boston" now appears globally in my custom label list. I guess this is fine with one or two labels but then I can see how this might get out of control with more labels being added. I was hoping a custom label would apply only to that one contact and not be globally available to all other new contacts.
If I do create a custom label and delete it from my list, it then goes away for the contact that I assigned the label to.
So given that information, I guess if I don't want the custom label list to get out of control, it's probably best to create a separate contact for each location... i.e.
    1. Luigi's - Boston
    2. Luigi's - New York
I was just hoping to have everything consolidated into one contact as opposed to creating multiple ones. It seems like that can't be accomplished unless I have a huge list of custom labels in which I probably won't use them to apply to other contacts : )

  • Sometimes phone numbers that are on emails and websites show up for a second or two and then are removed. This doens't happen with the same email or website when I use Internet Explorer

On some emails and websites phone numbers appear for a second or two and then disappear. If I reload the email or website, the number again appears for a second or two and then disappears. This doesn't happen when I open that same email or website in Internet Explorer.

Do you have Skype installed, I have seen similar reports about Skype causing this. Skype include a "number highlighting" option, and it may be malfunctioning and hiding the numbers instead of highlighting them. If you have Skype, try turning this feature off - http://blog.calcoastwebdesign.com/2008/11/how-to-disable-number-highlighting.html
If that does not help, try the procedure in the [[troubleshooting extensions and themes]] article, this is likely to be caused by an extension/theme issue.
