(I installed ECC and CRM servers in the same host its works fine.)
PLease give your suggesstion
Thanks
Thirumal

Hi thirumal,
we can install two solman in one system through a concept called MCOD ie multiple components in one Database.
just as we can different SID's in one database.
for more information refer this site:

  • Two SAP system in one host and one oracle software

    Hi SAP Gurus,
We want to install Two SAP system (PR1 & PP1) in one host(Prdb05) and one database (Oracle). I dont want to do MCOD.
I am very confuse about what changes i need to make before start the install of PP1. Actually i do not required to install oracle software again. am i correct ?
also i do not required to install oracle client again.am i correct ?
Will it take software automatically ?
In SAP note 350251 they asked me to run ./runinstaller !!! but when we
are not installing software again why we need to to execute that.
Will you please guide us for the same.

Hi , This is what you have to do .
Couple of questions before i answer anything
    1) Is your first SAP system installed ?
    2) is this High Available system
What Oliver suggested is a valid option on Windows , but not on Unix .
In Unix you might face problems for user, groups because the user for ORACLE_HOME should ideally be ora<SID>, and if you have 2 SID and one ORACLE_HOME , which user will you give ?
So , it is better that you have 2 seperate oracle software installed , 2 seperate ORACLE_HOME , 2 seperate filesystems for oracle software .
Hope you understood , what i am trying to say .
    Thanks

  • Two R/3 Systems on one Windows NT Server

    Hello SAP  Guru ,
I have ECC6 on database DB2 for Development server and quality server as different client . Now i want to install quality server on same H/W . i go through sdn forum and market place but not found sufficient information for DB2 database , i go through
Note 28392 - Two R/3 Systems on one Windows NT Server also.
Please suggest some more information to keep in mind while doing this activity.
    Thanks
    Om....

    Hi juan,
"When you run two systems in the same box you need to be aware that any mayor mantainance done in one system will have a detriment effect on the other one, specially if you're sharing the Database. During the installation you may find necesary to have some downtime in the system that is currently running as OS or DB restarts are potentially necesary."
I am agree with your post. but still my question is not answered . i am looking for information about what are the things need to modify in current system (either on OS , DB or SAP side) before start of new instance installation for Quality server.
    let me explain bit more.
If current system having database name Dev now if i install new instance of SAP on same H/W with name QLT for SID as well as Database name. what are the things i need to change prior installation start so that not any conflict will happen (on OS , DB & SAP)
Or nothing is require to change i can just start installation as on fresh system.

  • Multiple SAP Systems In One MSCS Cluster

We have installed a NW 7.0 EHP abap stack in a MSCS Cluster with 2 nodes.
This was installed as a standard Cluster Install.
We have now higlighted a requirement to install a 2nd (Java ) instance in this Cluster Group.
The NW 7.0 EHP1 documentation and Note 1321854 shows that multiple SAP systems in one  MSCS cluster is supported.
The documentation, however, is not clear if the 2nd instance can be installed when the 1st instance was installed without the preperations for Multiple Systems.
There are no further documentation or guidelines to help.
Has anyone come across this situation or managed to install 2 SAP instances in one Cluster Group based on Windows 2003, SQL Server 2005.
    Regards

I am not quite sure if I understood your problem completley. But let's see...
Usually you use on on MSCS Cluster Group per SAP instance. So you have your already existing NW 7.0 ABAP stack in a separated Cluster Group, and you create a new Cluster Group for your new Java system.
You can find more information about it in this guide here on SDN:
    Link: [High Availability;
More information about High Availability Setups for SAP System can be found here on SDN:
    Link: [High Availability]
If you want to use the same database for your clustered ABAP stack and your new Java stack you can do a MCOD installation.
Please see Link: [SAP Note 388866 - Multiple Components on One Database - Installation|https://service.sap.com/sap/support/notes/388866]
    Hope this helps.

  • How to garantee IDOC types are the same on two communicating sap systems.

    Hi all:
how to garantee IDOC types are the same on two communicating sap systems,  including segments and versions, using bd64?
what's more, what bd64 using for besides generating parter profiles,  must we use bd64 for outbound idocs?
        Thank you very much
    best regards ?

    Hi jingying Sony
You can compare the Idoc type and Version between Sender System and Reciver System.
Use TCode SCMP and Compare the Table EDIMSG in Both System.
    This will solve your issue.
    Thanks

  • 'Howto' merge (consolidate) two different BW-Systems in one?

    Hi,
actual we have two different BW System (BW-FI/CO and BW-CRM - both Version 3.5) which are installed on an own systems (historic grown).
Now we want reduce our administration and hardware costs and our intention is to merge (consolidate) our two BW-Systems in one - using standard SAP transport method.
Does anyone have any experience with merge of two and more BW Systems in one?
Does anyone have a 'Howto Paper' about this topic?
    Thanks in advance,
    Ismet

    Hi Arun,
thx a lot for your quick answer. My question was more 'merge/consolidate' of two BW-Systems as a 'System Copy'. I am trying to give you more information about our procedure:
    - we have two different BW-Systems - BW-System A and BW-System B
    - both BW-System have same Version and Support Package
    - we want to overtake ALL BW-Objects (InfoProvider, InfoObjects, Variables, etc......) from System B into System A
    - for this procedure we want use STMS (SAP Standard)
    - in second step we plan to transfer physical data from System B in to System A with Data Mart procedure (generate Export-Datsource in System B)
Do you have (or anybody) any experience about this procedure?
Thanks a lot and Best Regards.

  • Installing Several Systems on One host

    Hello
is it possible to install several Systems (both central instance and database instance +j2ee engine run on the same host) on ONE host?
If i want to install the ECC i must install the sap solution manager.
Is it possible to install this system on the same host on which i want to install the ECC?
I guess i will then have an MCOD System, which means that the solution manager and the ECC will reside in the same database or am i wrong?

    Hi,
We installed Database and CI on server A and server B for ECC.Installing again Database instance with seperate oracle software and CI for BW on seever A
for database and server B for CI.I am having problem
when using oracle client software. I did not choose to extract oracle client software for BW -CI in my first attempt since it will over write existing oracle client software in CI for ECC. if choose to extract when installing CI for BW CI for ECC breaks - which i did when installing CI again for BW. Since during my first install CI for BW could not talk to DB for BW.

  • Multiple SAP Systems to one LiveCache

    Hi All,
I know some one in the past already discussed on this topic.  I want to know is it possible to use a single MaxDB/LiveCache  for more than one SAP System like SCM and WFD system to a single LiveCache.  If this is possible and some one already done it,  can you please let me know the high level config steps?.  I was thinking MaxDB should able to support the MCOD concept, but I am not sure.
    Thanks

    Hi Narayan,
no, using one liveCache with several SCM installations is not possible.
Although MaxDB is of course possible to support an MCOD setup, the liveCache is not. This is due to the very tight coupling of the liveCache routines and the SCM ABAP code.
Anyhow, a special setup called OneDB is supported, where liveCache and the SCM database are stored within a single MaxDB instance.
This setup simplifies Backup/Restore to a great extent.
There is also no benefit in sharing one liveCache instance within several SCM instances as you can install multiple liveCache instances on a single server.
    regards,
    Lars

  • Multiple SAP Systems with one Unique ID

    Hi,
SAP recommend to have <sidadm> and <sapserviceSID> user account for each system.
Currently we create domain users for each SAP System.  We are installing many test servers and trying to see if I can avoid creating domain user account for each system and use only one account to administer all test sap systems.
Just wanted to know if there is any way to have one domain SIDADM user id and one domain SAPService user account to run multiple test SAP systems?
    Thanks,

    Hi,
Multiple test system you have different SID. so you must use different SAPserviceSID user. But you can use one SIDADM user with the proper permission with other test systems.
I have used in OS400 environment with single SIDADM user id.
please check with users with permission sap notes or document.
    But SAP not recommanded this.
    Thanks and Regards,
    Jibin.

  • Multiple SAP systems on One database

    Hello,
We are planing to install multiple SAP systems like SM, ERP on one database with multiple DB SIDs, it means each SAP system has its own Oracle instance. We know MCOD has only one DB SID (one oracle instance) for multiple SAP systems.
Is it possible to set up the landscape like this? Is it supported by SAP?
    Can any body advice?
    Thanks,
    Kris

    Technically, it is possible.
But SAP Does NOT support it. The only method to install one set of binaries (one ORACLE_HOME) that is supported by SAP is to use MCOD (all components are installed in one Database)

  • SAP Installation - 3 SAP systems on 1 host

    Hello,
I already have Solution Manager system and Enterprise Portal system installed on a host. Can I install another dual stack(ABAP+Java) on the same host?
    Thanks,
    Gautam.

    Hi,
You can install but you need free resources available on the server for this. As ABAP+JAVA will require atleast 100 GB to 200 GB of HD space depands on the SAP version you are installing. Along with that if you are planning to run all the SAP system at the same time you might end up in performance issue (It depends on the server configuration as well as utilization of your servers). I guess it is not a best way for any kind of scenario like (DEV, QAS or PRD)
    Best of Luck,
    Gaurav

    Hi GURPRIT,
It is possible to display item from two different systems.
All you need to do is create separate webflow connectors for the systems for which you required to configure the UWL and the systems must be available in the SLD.
after creating the connectors register both of them and you can start receiving workitems from both the systems.
    reward if useful.

  • Two separate speaker systems on one card (audigy 2

Is it at all possible to have two separate speaker systems (maybe even with different volume levels on windows) on the same card? I thought the card did that but it is not working for me.

    basketcase590,
You can connect a separate set of analog stereo speakers to rear Lineout and Lineout2. Then in the EAX console, set CMSS3D to stereo surround. This will duplicate stereo output on both rear lineouts. You can affect the front-rear volume by adjusting the stereo focus.

  • Installing two systems in one host - clarification

    Hi Experts,
We have requirement to install the R3 and BI development system in the same host.
I have completed installation of the BI7 system.
The database used is SQL server 2005.
Now when we install the other system, I am not sure how to go about the database.
Do I need to install again SQL server 2005 in some other drive or the existing one can be used, that means will it add a new database to the existing database server?
    Thanks and Regards,

  • Multiple XI systems on one host - problems

    Hi,
We have a problem when installing a second XI system on the same host.
Symptoms are that the J2EE engine of the first running installation does not work anymore, all java related items either hang or do not start.
The abap stack runs as normal. We do get a lot of shortdumps that say that the programs in the RFC connections are not registered. We do not know whether this is cause or result of the problem.
Our Visual administrator does not start anymore as well.
We shut down the newly installed system of course but this does not seem to help.
    Anyone have a clue?

    Hi Chris,
Im particulary interested in the behaviour of SLD in this kind of infrastructure.
Does your XI environment uses only one or multiple SLD instances?
Do you have access to all your defined business and tech. systems/objects across the XI environment in SLD?
    Thanks,
    Rob.
