Two step stock transfer

If I want to transfer material from one storage location to another, through MRP system creates reservation with movement type 311. But I want to have reservation with movement type 313 so that it will be two step and material can be transfered to transit.
How can I set this through configuration ?

So first i am trying to remove stock from plant AA in 303 movement type.
system throughing error message " Deficit of PL Stock in transfer 48000 PC:    XYZ       BB
    ERROR Message no. M7 021
after analysis i found that in plant BB , in Stck trans.(plnt)  , stock is showing  (  - 50000)
i wonder how this stock got negative.
    please help resolving this issue.

    hi Pankaj,
in both plant AA & BB , negative stock is allowed.
now i found that if i put the quantity equal to or more than 50000 , then system not giving error.
but if i put a smaller qt , say 1000, then system deducting it from 50000 & showing deficit 49000  at plant BB.
so the question is can't i transfer less than 50000 qt to BB from AA?
Also what is meaning of 50000 qt showing as negative in stock in transfer stock ? does it mean that with out posting 303 at plant AA , customer has posted 305 at plant BB?
Please help me understand. thanks .

  • 2 Step Stock Transfer Using WM Transport Order??

    Dear SAP expertes,
I have a problem, I think a lot of you too; that is stock transfer in 2 steps from one storage location to another (mov. types 313-315), but using o referencing a reservation.
SAP says that is not possible create reservations for 2 step stock transfer in MM, but also says use "Stock Transfer Orders" instead, that means use module WM.
Do anyone could transfer stock from one storage location to another using WM Stock Transfer Orders? I tried, but couldn't make it. In anyone have documention to do this I will appreciate it a lot.
    Best regards,
    Favio.

    Hi Jürgen L.
I was checking SAP Note  "28692 - MMIM: Reservation for a two-step stock transfer", and you were right, they say "Use the stock transport order instead of the stock transfer reservation".
I confused with WM stock tranfer order, but I want to ask you if you have used UB transport order between storage location of the same plant?
    Best regards,
    Favio.

  • One Step Stock transfer

    Hello All,
Can you please let me know the answer to the problem that I am facing.
Can we transfer the stock from one plant to another plant in one step stock transfer procedure taking the reference of STO already created ?
I know that it is done in MB1B using Movement type 301. But the question is, can I take the reference of STO created for transfering material in One step Procedure.

    Thanks for Replying...
I have checked the settings for both these plants and the One step Procedure is selected and the document type is also UB.
As soon as I create a STO between plant 1000 and Plant 1200, the material starts showing in as open order quantity in plant 1200.
How to physically transfer the goods between these two plants taking the reference of STO ?

  • Two steps transfer posting : 313 + 315

Hi, can somebody help me to explain this system behavior :
I'm using a two step stock transfer (313 + 315) from st. location to another within the same plant. I
When I post the 313 movement from storage A to storage B , system generates a -313 movement in the issuing location and +313 movement in the receiving one.
My expectation is to have also a -315 from transfer stock type.
Why does the system generates only one +315 when I receive the gods form transfer stock type to unrestricted ?
    Here is the  case :
    218162030          CORPO
    010      313       4901509784     1     11.12.2007               35- NR
    IM        313       4901509784     2     11.12.2007               35  NR
    IM        315       4901509785     1     11.12.2007               35  NR
Thank you in advance for any help.
    Denis

    Dear All,
I think this question hasn't been answered.
It's not an (exact) explanation that 313+ and 313- is because of the two storage location, and 315 is because at that time only one SL is affected.
Just think of MVT 321 when the story is only about one storage location but we can find both 321+ and 321-. The reason lies in the stock types I think (QI & unrestrected > increase 'unrestrected' & decrease 'QI')
Does someone know why MVT 315 occures only once? Two stock types are affected by this movement as well.
According to logic of 321 we should find 315+ & 315- (315+ to increase qty in 'unrestricted' and 315- to decrease qty in 'stock in transit').
[Maybe we (i.e. I) should know the strucure of stock types to understand this.]
    Thanks,
    Csaba

  • What is Cycle or steps to create Stock transfer between plants.

What is Cycle or steps to create Stock transfer between plants.
Reply with T Codes & Justify

    Hello RM
We can transfer stocks within a company code between 2 plants using 3 methods:
    1) Using single step simple stock transfer (Mvt Type 301).
    2) Using two step stock transfer (Mvt Types 303 and then 305).
    3) Using a stock transport order(STO) again it is based on 2 things:
    a) r u using STO with delivery or
    b) without delivery.
Though the first two steps are very simple to process but using STO has its own advantages: 1) Quantity in transit can be monitored 2) delivery costs can be entered in the STO.
First 2 steps (single step and 2 step plant to plant transfer) can be done using MIGO tcode , selecting stock transfer and entering the relevant mvt types.
would like to tell you about STO as it is an important process.
STO without delivery, the following functions are provided to support the Internal Stock Transfer without Delivery :
    #Create Stock Transport Order
#Post goods issue for stock transport order
#Post goods receipt for stock transport order
Config Step required before processing above steps:
Setting Up Stock Transport Order: Purchasing Document Type, the purpose of this activity is to specify which document type is to be used for a certain combination of supplying (issuing) plant and receiving plant.
Path go to SPRO--MM-Purchasing---PO-Set up STO-----assign doc type, one step procedure, underdelivery tolerances.
There you have to enter your supplying and receving plant with the Purchasing doc type( UB).
    Now the process:
    1) Receiving plant will create a STO towards issuing plant.
    2) Issuing plant will transfer material from their unrestricted use stock to stokc in transit using mvt type 351.
    3) Receiving plant receives the goods using MIGO mvt type 101.

  • Stock Transfer from one location to another through outbound deliveries

    Dear GURUS n EXPERTS,
We have 5 warehouse and one manufacturing plant. Till this time we use two step Stock Transfer method to transferring stock from plant to ware houses.
Now, we want to use Shipping & Transportation System to to calculate transportation cost. But this system consider only outbound deliveries. So, our requirement is:
    1. Create the outbound deliveries, but no billing.
    2. Receive the material at warehouse against this outbound delivery but do not go for invoice booking.
How can we achieve it. Please guide us.
    Thanks,
    DSC

    Hello,
You may see the IMG path SPRO->Materials Management->purchasing->Purchase Order->Setup Stock Transport Order.  Here, the most important ones are Assign Delivery Type and Assign Purchasing Document Type. Availability check, Delivery tolerances etc. are optional. You need shipping point to be created using transaction OVLZ.
    Thanks,
    Venu

  • Query on stock transfer between plants

    HI guys,
In stock transfer storage location to storage location in one step, all stock types are allowed. Whereas, in two step, only unrestricted stock is allowed. Can I know the reason why!?
In plant to plant stock transfer either one step or two step, only unrestricted stock is allowed. What is the reason?
    Regards
    Prasanna

in plant to plant stock transfer either one step or two step, only unrestricted stock is allowed...
    It is not true.
In intracompany two step stock transfer you can post GI from unrestricted, QI and blocked stock as well (MIGO GI for PO, in "Where" tab you can specify the stock type) and you can choose in which stock type you want to receive the goods (MIGO Goods receipt for PO > in "Where" tab you can specify the stock type).
    So, 9 combinations are available.

  • Stock Transfer B/W Two Plants ( 303 & 305 )

    Hi MM Experts.....
Im working with the scenario of two plant stock transfer ie., 303 & 305 and in need to control the posting date of 305 should be gerater or equal to the reference document ie., 303.
There is a field LFBNR - Document No. of Reference Document but i cannot find the reference doc number ie., 303 on that.
Im tried to figure out the reference document in the MKPF & MSEG table but i couldn't only for 303 & 305 document alone.
    Please suggest me ......
    Regards
    MM-L.Senthil Kumar

There is no link between 303 and 305.
One moves stock from a storage location  into in-transit, while the other posts from in-transit to a storage location.
Depending on the time one needs to transport the material physically, you can have stock of several movements done with 303 in in-transit.
Further you are looking for a way to restrict posting with an earlier receipt date than issue date, but this just assumes that the GR folks are working wrong, while the people who perform the goods issue are doing everything right.
You better analyse your process and talk with the receivers why they enter a earlier date. I doupt that they are doing this to mess around. I would even guess they are doing it because they received the goods at this earlier date, but could not perform the GR because the goods issue folks had not done their job.

  • Inter Company Stock Transfer Configuration

    Hi,
When I assign customer in assign shipping data to plants, request is creating. So whether I have to create the request and transfer the same to production or quality or is there any other way to assign customer in either quality or production? Because I have to create the customer master data in development. Please Reply..

The cross-plant internal procurement of materials can be carried out within one company code (inter-company) or by using several company codes (cross-company). This process can be dealt with using standard functions, such as material requirements planning, purchase requisitions, stock transport orders, transportation planning, and the handling of internal deliveries.
    Process Flow
This scenario consists of the following steps:
    One-step stock transfer
    Creating stock transport order
Posting goods issue for stock transport order
Checking the status of the stock transfer
    Receiving transferred materials
