Two tabs now open, one telling me I'm updated, second for some sort of addon checker

First tab says congratulation Firefox is updated, I already know that, now it opens this tab each time I open my browser.
Second tab is some sort of addon checker thingy.
Thought it might have happened with the upgrade to 16 from 15, down graded, happens there as well. So now back to 16 and still have the problem, except now I have this first tab opening as well.

Did you try to delete the prefs.js file in case there is a problem with some prefs?
It is also possible that there is a problem with the file(s) that store the extensions registry.
Delete the files extensions.* (e.g. extensions.sqlite, extensions.ini, extensions.cache) and compatibility.ini in the Firefox profile folder to reset the extensions registry.

If you see disabled, not compatible, extensions in "Tools > Add-ons > Extensions" then click the Tools button at the left side of the Search Bar (or click the "Find Updates" button in older Firefox versions) to check if there is a compatibility update available.
If this hasn't helped then also try to delete the addons.sqlite file.

Firefox 12 is very slow to load pages and if two tabs are opening it lags.

Firefox 12 is very slow to load pages and if two tabs are opening it lags. I've tried everything (e.g virus, defrag, I've created a new profile in "run", etc). I've had my router/line etc all checked and after 2 weeks of cleaning/testing etc its all pointing to Firefox as the problem. Please help as it's driving me nuts.

I have the exact same problem.
Not only does it load pages very slowly, sometimes the page will stop for a good 45 seconds and stop loading, only to finish it much later.
Something is wrong with Firefox 12, it shouldn't be this slow.
How is that each version is progressively worse than the one before it?.
Stop releasing so many versions Mozilla, release one that works and build from there.

When I have more than one tab open, if I click on a picture to view, when the window opens to view the photo, firefox crashes. I also notice while looking at a web page, the pinned tabs to the left of the bar are constantly reloading for some reason.

I went to Tools then options then on tabs the first box (open new window in a tab instead) it was checked so i unchecked it clicked on ok and it did the same thing for new tab it opened in a ew window so i went back and put a check in the tab and same thing....new window.. i then unchecked and ditto.....and did this about 5 times with no change. Start Firefox in <u>[[Safe Mode]]</u> to check if one of the extensions or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox (Tools) > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).

Not via Time Machine. It cannot back up from a network location.
The 3rd-party apps CarbonCopyCloner and ChronoSync may be workable alternatives.
EDIT: And, if you're going to do that, you could back up from the Time Capsule to a USB drive connected to the TC's USB port. Second TC not required.

How did you do that? Do you mean you sync to iTunes that had the ipad library?
The phone with the issue, settings - general - reset - erase all contents and settings - this will wipe the phone clean and then restore from your backup.

Firefox lets you set multiple tabs to open when you start up or click the Home button. Not sure how that other one got on there, but you can remove it.

There is no device limit for the number of iPods, iPads, and iPhones that can be synced with the same iTunes library and iTunes account on the same computer. Each device can have its sync preferences with iTunes along with iTunes maintaining a separate backup for each device.

Well, it is a pdf file, and it once was a readable one, I suppose.
It must have data on the hex or binary level that can be retrieved.
If necessary, I will have to look into the file format of a PDF file? Is this documented?

Why one user can not see plan output for some orgs while other users can?

We have several inventory/planning orgs. Suddenly one of the users is not seeing any plan output for some organizations. While other users are able to see plan out (planner workbench) for all org.
All users use the same responsibility.
Deleted all the folders to eliminate hidden query in default folder.
Any other thoughts?

The issue is resolved.
In the user preferences, one user has Inventory Category Set and other user has Planning Category Set as the default. Items belonging to one Org were not assigned Planning Category Set. Thus they were not showing for the other user.

Every time I load my igoogle home page opening firefox, it opens it in two tabs instead of one, and then AVG tells me firefox is using too much memory and I should close and reopen it; Why

I open firefox using my igoogle home page and immediately it opens two igoogle tabs on top instead of just one how do I stop it from opening the second one? and then after about two minutes AVG tells me firefox is using too much memory slowing my machine and tells me to close and reopen fire fox...how do I fix that?

Make sure that Firefox closes properly and that that there are no longer Firefox or plugin-container processes left on the Processes tab in the Task Manager. Otherwise session restore will reopen the page(s) from the previous session.
