Two time value operations.....................

Hai guys...
I am using time trekking machine to get the record to employee incoming and out going...
the thing is i have no idea how to get the time period which he worked...
it seems like this..
000000000305032008[1605, 1605, 1606, 1644, 1655, 1716, 1719, 1720, 1721, 1723, 1723, 1723, 1727]
In time ---- 1605
Out time ---- 1727
any one help me how to increase these two time value and take the employee actual spent time in the factory...
thanks...

Think of how would you manually (using a pen and a piece of paper) change
1727 -- 17:27 into minutes after midnight?
If you change both times to minutes you can safely substract them and then do the opposite thing - change minutes into hours and minutes.

    The way I understand it:
        When the data source is a stored procedure, CR will execute it so if the stored procedure has any
        parameters, it will prompt for them. These parameters are in the stored procedure side. Then, if you
        have additional parameters in the Crystal Report itself,  you are going to be asked to input those too.
        This will cause  "double prompting".

  • Time values that add up to greater than 24 hours

    Hi Apple SUpport Community,
    I am trying to get a cell in Numbers to return a TIME value when the sum of two time values are greater than 24.
    For example, if a worker has a shift that starts at 8pm and works for 6 hours and 15 minutes, the shift ends at ((20:00+06:15=26:15)-24:00)=02:15am the next day.
    If I formulate a cell in numbers to add to time values, it comes return the nasty red triangle saying "The Formula's arguments can only contain one date value"
    Thanks in advance for any help!
    ST

    a duration can be obtained by subtracting two time values (which are technically the date and the time).  durations are specified as:
    weeks, days, hours, minutes, seconds and milliseconds.
    I do not know what you are trying to figure out...
    - how long did the worker work? or
    - when did the shift end?
    can you state a question (without regard for the solution) so we can assist?  Also a screen shot of what you enter and what you want as output would be helpful.
    All that said you can subtract two times to get a duration.  You can add durations to get another duration.  You cannot add times.  To specify that an entry is a time you enter in the format "0w 0d 30h 14m 22s 0ms"  any of the entries with 0 may be omitted.
    you can add durations in cells by using the "+" or "-" operator
    as in A1-B1
    where A1 contains "3h 45m" and B1 contains "1h 15m"
    the result will be "2h 30m"

  • Time value not at all or in the wrong way send to the BAPI Trip Create From

    Hi @ all,
    I try to call a BAPI by sending besides a couple of other parameters, which are working fine, two times values. Those times are required for creating a (Business-) Trip within SAP. This BAPI requests the time values in the format time (E).
    But it seems not possible for me to send the time values to the BAPI. If I look into the Flash-Debugger I see that the values are empty or including Dates. For sure I'd a look on the right formattings this meens the Input-Fields are declared as Time (E) and connected in the right way.
    If I test the BAPI with the function "Test Data Service" the time values are sent in the right way. So this means to me that there must be a problem within VC by transporting the Input values to the BAPI. Also if I try to send the system time by using the TNOW() function the flash-debugger shows that VC is sending a Date like 31.12.1989 or 20.01.2009. It also makes no difference if I change the Formatting of the input field I alredy tried the most of them.
    I'm really sure that the input fields are declared as Time (E).
    I'm thankfull for any advice...

    This means you're still using Flex 1.5 as your runtime. SAP has introduced Flex 2 RT on SP14 patch 1 onwards. There were a lot of bug fixes and also several new functionality introduced there. I suggest you consider upgrading to the latest SP. Note that you can upgrade VC apart from the portal (only 3 SCAs to deploy) so this means you don't impact the portal itself and continue to have an up-to-date version of VC.
    If you want to solve your problem, I suggest you open a support ticket at SAP and once they see this, they'll let you have those SCAs.
    Regards,
    Natty

  • How can I use two drop down lists for one time value?

    I want to enter the length of time that someone does an activity in hours and minutes using two drop down lists, then enter them as a single time value (H:i:s) in Mysql.
    I've used the basic drop down lists, and a few different variations of the following with no success (seconds is a hidden field with a value of "00"):
                           GetSQLValueString(strftime('%H:%i:%s', strtotime($_POST["sleeptimemin"]." ".$_POST["sleeptimehr"]." ".$_POST["seconds"])), "date"),
    This returns 00:00:16, no matter what is selected on the drop down list.
    Any help would be appreciated.

    MySQL stores times in human-understandable format, using the 24-hour clock.
    GetSQLValueString($_POST['sleeptimehr'] . ':' . $_POST['sleeptimemin'] . ':00', "date"),

  • How to substract two date&time values

    Well,i just need to substract last visited date&time value from systemdate. The last visited date&time(from the filed named SONBULUNMAZAMANI, ) is selected from table (IHALE_KATILIMCILAR ) in the format DD-MM-RRRR HH24:MI and systemdate is in the same format. And i need to get value in minutes. Then i need to check if the value is greater then 20 minutes, finally i will update database and set IHALE_KATILIMCILAR.AKTIF=0. Here is the code i used;
    DECLARE
    MinDiff number;
    DateTime1 ihale_katilimcilar.sonbulunmazamani%TYPE;
    BEGIN
    select t.sonbulunmazamani into DateTime1 from ihale_katilimcilar t where t.ihlkodu=141 and t.ihlaltktgkodu=132 and t.id_iliski=193;
    MinDiff := ABS( TO_DATE( TO_CHAR(SYSDATE, 'DD-MM-RRRR') || TO_CHAR(SYSDATE , 'HH24:MI'), 'DD-MM-RRRR HH24:MI' ) - TO_DATE( TO_CHAR(DateTime1, 'DD-MM-RRRR') || TO_CHAR(DateTime1, 'HH24:MI'), 'DD-MM-RRRR HH24:MI' ) );
    DBMS_OUTPUT.PUT_LINE('Difference is ' || MinDiff);
    END;
    However the result i get is always pointed values such as ,1895833333333333333333333333333333333333. How can i handle this?

    What version of SQLServer do you have? Datediff is not an Oracle built-in function.
    OP:
    THe difference between two dates in Oracle is in days. The decimal portion refers to partial days, so you need to convert that to the required precision. Also, both sysdate and your column are date type, and contain a time portion, so you do not need all the to_date/to_char stuff. Something like:
    SQL> SELECT end_dt, start_dt, (end_dt - start_dt) * 24*60 diff
      2  FROM (SELECT sysdate end_dt, TRUNC(sysdate) start_dt
      3        FROM dual);
    END_DT             START_DT                 DIFF

  • Mapping with Scd operator set to type 2 reading source records two times

    Mapping with Scd operator set to type 2 reading source records two times.Records selected count being displayed at the end of execution is double the source record count.This possibly is affecting the performance of the mapping.
    Is this a bug in scd type 2 operagtor in OWB 11gR2.How to rectify this umwamted double loop through the source data selectiom?

    Hi Roelant,
    I think it is important to be aware that although Paris - 10gR2 - is not actually buggy (in this respect!), it is really quite idiosyncratic in exactly how it processes SCDs.
    I followed up on your and Mark's comments, and did an in depth analysis of this topic. It is at http://www.donnapkelly.pwp.blueyonder.co.uk/documents/OWB_10gR2_SCD.pdf
    My conclusions are perhaps of interest to anyone considering doing SCD processing with Paris.
    I'll be doing a follow-up this weekend, and publishing a sort of 'how-to-do-it' guide.
    Cheers,
    Donna

  • The Popup dialog Page needs two times to return the selected value[10.1.3]

    Hi All,
    I have problem in an JSF Application that uses the EMP and DEPT tables .
    the Application contains two pages
    page 1 : a calling page uses EmpView as ADF Table .
    page 2 : a popup List of Values (LOV) dialog page uses DeptView
    These cause the popup dialog page to return to the calling page and to set the selected value into the Deptno attribute .
    the calling page includes :deptno and dname columns as
    <af:column headerText="#{bindings.EmpView1.labels.Deptno}">
    <af:selectInputText value="#{row.Deptno}"
    required="#{bindings.EmpView1.attrDefs.Deptno.mandatory}"
    columns="#{bindings.EmpView1.attrHints.Deptno.displayWidth}"
    action="dialog:ChooseDept1" id="deptnoField"
    autoSubmit="true">
    <f:convertNumber groupingUsed="false"
    pattern="#{bindings.EmpView1.formats.Deptno}"/>
    </af:selectInputText>
    </af:column>
    <af:column headerText="#{bindings.EmpView1.labels.Dname}">
    <af:inputText value="#{row.Dname}" simple="true"
    required="#{bindings.EmpView1.attrDefs.Dname.mandatory}"
    columns="#{bindings.EmpView1.attrHints.Dname.displayWidth}"
    partialTriggers="deptnoField" autoSubmit="true"/>
    </af:column>
    and popup dialog page includes : Submit Button to return selected value to calling page :-
    <af:tableSelectOne text="Select and">

    </af:commandButton>
    </af:tableSelectOne>
    the problem is
    I have to press ( two times ) the select button in the calling page to
    return the selected value into the Dname attribute .
    best regards,

    Hi,
    However, I am using the Jdeveloper 10.1.3.3, but still getting this error. I could not find any threads related to this problem and hence I wrote up here. Anyway I have also logged an SR #7179012.993 for the same with the testcase. I hope the issue will be resolved soon.
    Thanks,

  • Get the difference between two java.sql.Time values

    Hi, I'm developping a web application in which I need to to subtract one java.sql,Time value from another. The two values are stored in a database field of type DateTime. I used following code
    java.sql.Time start_time=resultset.getTime("startTime");
    java.sql.Time end_time=resultset.getTime("startTime");
    java.sql.Time diff=start_time-end_time;
    can u give me any comment on this code

    Remember what the Date/Time object in Java represents - a single point in time.
    Subtracting one from another gives you an amount of time elapsed between the two dates. Fine.
    Making a new Date out of that number is incorrect. The number no longer represents a point in time, but rather a duration.
    Its like saying "There is 10 seconds difference between the two times, so the time is now 1 Jan 1970, 00:00:10 GMT".
    The simple and stupid calculation is to take the milliseconds difference, and divide it to get to a more humanly readable value.
    // duration in milliseconds
    long duration = ?????
    long durationInSeconds = duration / 1000;
    long durationInMinutes = duration / (60 * 1000);
    long durationInHours = duration / (60 * 60 * 1000);
    // careful - not always true!
    long durationInDays = duration / (24 * 60 * 60 * 1000);
    NOTE: The "daysBetween" calculation is potentially complicated by Daylight Time adjustments. The simple approach does not necessarily work exactly.

  • Perform division operation of two dimension values

    Hi ,
    I have a requirement like I need to divide two dimension values from 2 different tables?.. Can anyone please suggest whether I can do it in Obiee report level or i need to do it in RPD level. If so pls suggest how to do it?..
    Regards,
    Vengatesh.

    Are these two tables are joined in the repository if yes then :-
    then then you can directlly take
    2 columns from these tables in answers and create new column in answer as Result_div
    under fx of that column write column1/column2

  • How to add one edge in same page two times?

    Please help me for this i want to add same edge two time in page, one edge while onload and another also should load but it will show in popup. thanks in advance.

    Hi Kobe,
    Thanks for listening me.
    I agree 11g have some issues unlike 10g. I've tried the same by creating a measure rcount(1) and name it as Page in RPD. I just pulled column Page in pivot table section 'Pivot Table Prompts' it is working but this may not answer your requirements.
    I would suggest to use the column in Prompt and go by between operator to allow user to select the rows between.
    In the report make Page as prompted.
    If you are okay with this can look forward to tweak it further, like values in the prompt multiple of 5 or 10s some thing like that.
    let me know updates on the same.

  • Wait ms Timer Multiple returning inaccurate timer value

    We are using the Wait Until Next ms Multiple Timer value to set the interval that data is recorded to a file. Because of Windows 2000 time indeterminancy, the Wait Until Next ms Multiple Timer value is written to file, along with the data point, and is used to calculate the derivative between two successive points. With a delay of 1 sec (1000 ms), the actual interval ranges from 1025 to 1035 ms. At several (random!) points during the acquisition, the difference between successive ms values is considerably smaller than 1000 ms (e.g. 15-25 ms). The following difference compensates for the previous error e.g. the difference will be 2025-2055ms. The data that we are recording is a smoothly continuou
    s function and it appears that the sample is actually recorded at approximately 1000 plus ms. Thus it appears that the Wait Until Next ms Multiple waits the appropriate amount of time to record the data point, but outputs an erroneous ms timer value. We added a ms Timer function to the VI, which also experienced a similar glitch. This glitch does not correspond to the wraparound point; it occurs at approximately 60 to 130 sec intervals. We took the timing code only (no data acquisition, etc) and created a VI that wrote just the time values to a file. This is attached, along with the generated data in a spreadsheet. This consistently executed every 1000 ms but occasionally confused the intervals by 1-57 ms. The pattern was reversed from the previous problem by having a long interval and then a short interval. Any insight would be greatly appreciated!

    Agree completely but why can't LV provide access to the windows multimedia
    timer like LabWindows does? Provide me a timer, I can start/stop by changing
    its properties and run that in a separate thread. Obviously if I have
    another thread starving this timer thread, it won't help much but using
    multi-media timer, I have seen very good results on a windows2000 machine.
    Now win95/98 and derivatives are all other story.

  • Chart formula with time values

    I am trying to create a chart with time values and have a formula where the time in cell A1 (6:15) is subtracted from time in cell A2 (17:23). When I enter the formula (=a2-a1) I am told the operator expects a number and that the cells contain strings. Any hints on how to do this formula?
    Thanks
    Pete

    Hello ComPete,
    welcome to the Pages Discussions. There is no easy way in Pages to calculate time like you want to have. In Pages you have to use values with the normal floating point separator (In Germany we have the comma. I think in Canada you have the dot, right?). But you type a colon into the field. Pages knows no time stamp as a calculating value.
    To get this to work, you have to place the hour value, the colon sign and the minute value into their own table cell. Than you have to calculate the hour and the minute of one time stamp into minutes. Do this for the second time stamp, too. Store the minute values into a their own cells and hide the values (make them transparent). Now calculate the two minutes values so you have one value and recalculate the result to hours and minutes. now write that to the result cells with a colon between them.
    You see, this is a huge expense to get what you want and it is not very practical.

  • How do I calculate the difference between two times?

    I am so embarrassed by the fact that I can't figure this out.
    Cell B2- 8:00 am
    Cell C2- 10:50 am
    Cell D2- (How do I get this cell to calculate the difference and say 2:50?)
    I know this is probably one of the most basic operations, but for the life of me I can't figure it out. Cells B2 & C2 are formatted for 24 hour clock. But if I tell the system to just subtract the two, I get "0.118". Everything I find on the forum search goes beyond what I need. Can anyone help me?
    Thank you.
